We haven't been here in years but came back on a whim for our anniversary. Food was perfect, our waiter was the perfect amount of attentiveness without being annoying and the ambiance was spot on. Highly recommend and we'll be back sooner this time.

The menu is good the seating is comfortable. Food was good but they didn’t make the salad I asked for and the kitchen staff came back with a lazy fix. The food was good temperature and mostly tasty. Very cozy little place but there are so many places with just a bit better quality food and service in the area. 10/10 would go back for the squash ravioli tho!!

My boyfriend and I went here for a special meal. However, we weren't very happy with our overall experience. Our server, Jane, was not as attentive to us as her other tables. We didn't feel ignored, but we definitely weren't a priority. We'd never been there before, and we let our server know that because we had questions about the menu. The food was very hit or miss. My boyfriend got the Reuben rolls for his appetizer, and I got the baked brie platter. They were both amazing! We had a bottle of our favorite wine as well, so we were happy about that. My boyfriend loved the French onion soup, but I didn't. It was oddly sweet to me, so I gave mine to my boyfriend. Jane did offer me something else instead of the soup, but I declined because I knew my boyfriend was going to happily eat it. The fresh bread with butter and oil was awesome. However, when the entrees came, we were not happy. My boyfriend got the breaded Sicilian steak, and I got the Veal Parmesan. Both of them were soggy, even the bits that weren't under sauce. We let Jane know that we weren't happy with our meal, and she was kind of like, "oh well, that's how it's cooked," with no offer to fix it or discount anything. So, we didn't tip, because we didn't feel that we were given service that deserved one. We left feeling dissatisfied, and as we left, Jane opened the front door and watched us leave, which was super creepy. Sorry if you're mad about your lack of tip, but we matched it to the effort given. Do better.

I had the fish fry it was okay a bit greasy. The bartender was very friendly drinks were a good pour and fairly reasonable. I thought they menu was fairly limited in selection for an Italian restaurant Will definitely go back to try something Italian

First time visit. Just loved the experience. Great people and great food. Our server, Jane, was the consumate pro. She was flawless in helping my 93 yr old Mom navigate the menu. She also gracefully stepped past my faux pas of calling the Ditka chop a Butkus chop. Jane brought me what I wanted, not what I stated. Besides the pork chop (best 1 pounder I ever had!!), we also had the Sicilian steak, and shrimp scampi as main courses. All 3 get 5 stars.

Google
Everything was sugary, the pasta, French onion soup, marinara. The only thing I truly enjoyed were the Rueben rolls. Also maybe it’s just me, but what is the point of bread crumbing if it’s just going be a soggy undercooked mess. The bread was amazing just took a long time to get to table. Bottom line not worth returning, too sweet no complexity, poorly cooked meats. I end my review “Was that chicken or veal.”

Nice Saturday night visit. Place was a blast from the past, no on line reservation system, call and leave a message and they use pencil and paper. They were a little busy and our server seemed busy so the meal moved slow which was fine we were in no rush. We both ordered the Filet and it tasted good but it was weird, it looked like it had been cooked and then seared, the color was very even all the way through, it was a lot like slow cooked prime rib. The meals are a complete package, soup or salad, bread, veg and potato. and its a lot to eat, most people had left overs in to go clam shells. The side salad was good but its what you would have gotten at a supper club 30 years ago less the iceberg lettuce. The prices were extremely reasonable, dinner for 2 was $133, including 2 beers, 1 glass of wine, one after dinner drink and an up grade to French onion soup. We had an expired gift certificate which they graciously accepted.

Yelp
Very friendly service even though the place was packed, and the food was a good value for what we got. The Sicilian breaded tenderloin had plenty of seasoning and was much bigger than I expected, tons of food even for my giant appetite. The bar area is first come first served, so if you try to walk in, check there and avoid the wait. It's a cool supper club feel and was very welcoming; we'll be back!

Yelp
We recently ventured to Galioto's for dinner. We had two birthdays in a party of four, a fact that was confirmed when I made the reservation. We entered on an early Friday evening and the place was already quite packed. I was somewhat surprised at how small the bar and dining room actually were, but the somewhat eclectic décor made the place feel warm and cozy, even though we were not seated by the fireplace table. Our server, Jane, was nice enough and the service was fairly good, but despite seeing a table next to ours getting a birthday song serenade, nothing was ever said about my groups occasions. Even at the end, when my mom ordered a to-go dessert and I commented on it being a birthday treat, it was never acknowledged. I find that odd and a little irritating. The eggplant sticks appetizer was good, as was the bread and whipped butter. My cod dinner was adequate, with the star being the potato pancake. Mom's Ditka chop was good, but the other two were mixed in their opinions about the Sausage Pepper Vodka Penne. I left the place feeling fairly underwhelmed, I'm afraid. Meh.

Yelp
Here 7pm New Year's Eve. Place sold out. Waitress's performance exceptional. Food phenomenal. You will be satisfied as well.

Stephanie R.

Yelp
We went there for the first time and all three of us had a yummy dinner. Mine was the veal piccata. Side salad was great and rolls were warm. Nice touch to serve with both oil and soft butter. Just don't understand how a restaurant survives only open 3 days a week and with limited hours. But more power to them.

Yelp
Gallioto's is, quite simply, a wonderful restaurant. The food was served piping hot, everything is fresh/scratch made, and they are very accommodating of special requests. The service was impecable, prompt, and personable. Anthony is one of the best servers I've ever encountered. He is so kind and friendly, and he always anticipates the need. Tonight we had one of the best Milwaukee dining experiences that we've had in a very long time. I'm only upset that my husband and I JUST realized that this restaurant exists just 10 minutes from our house! It's the perfect spot for a date night.

Steve Q.

Yelp
We went for the happy hour and there was nothing happy about. The bartender was rude and made us feel like we were a bother to her! There were an only few people in the bar but it was difficult getting the bartender's attention because she was busy chatting it up with a couple regulars. The Cosmos that my wife ordered was nothing more than vodka and a lot of cranberry juice. The small plates we ordered were a mixed bag...the tuna was excellent but the "cigar" reubens were dry and tasteless! Too many other places to go than to be mistreated at Galioto's!
google avatar

Dave S.

Yelp
Average food, average service. Needs energy! Walked in and no host or even a welcoming area to provide direction. I guess locals know what to do but I felt not welcome. The food had too much cheese and the sauce was average. I hope to try again and have a better experience.

James N.

Yelp
Great dinner with the familly. We did not wait much. Food was very good quality. We will be back.

Molly H.

Yelp
Carrie the bartender was terrible. She didn't acknowledge us and was beyond rude. We are never coming back. There are bad reviews of her from 3 years ago. I can't believe she's still there. We were going to order food but left after 1 drink.

Yelp
My husband and I have never been disappointed here. It's the only place I'll get fettuccine Alfredo! Delicious.

Yelp
Amazing. They hosted a private party for my family and I (15 people) in their party room. They exceeded my high expectations in every way. First, the decor was incredible. We arrived to a beautifully decorated room, a gorgeously set table, a warmly lit room, and even beautiful fire in the fireplace. We were warmly greeted by Erin and Meg who attended to every detail in the most professional and subtle way. The food was INCREDIBLE. I can't state enough how perfect every element was...appetizers were so delicious (the stuffed mushrooms were so great!). My filet mignon was PERFECT. The desserts (Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake and Apple Pie) were scrumptious. They made our family dinner so special, and they were so professional they made perfection seem effortless. I can't recommend GaliotosTwelve21 highly enough!

Yelp
The food and drinks were average but overpriced. $4.50 for a root beer soda. I would look for another restaurant in the area before I would go back.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant while in town to meet a friend. Their filet is one of the best I have ever had, and the service was exceptional. I will defiantly be back again.

Yelp
Been here twice on a Friday night, was always busy with a wait so ate at the bar both times. Was served by the female bartender (Carrie was the name on the receipt) and was fairly short and rude, felt like we were inconveniencing her. Gave her the benefit of the doubt of maybe a bad day, but she served us the second time as well and service was just as rude. Food is fairly decent which is why we returned but isn't worth being treated poorly anymore. I'd give it 2.5 stars

Yelp
We had a birthday dinner at Galioto's Twelve21 and it was a wonderful experience. Located in Cedarburg it brings a lot of old school charm, reminiscent in the best possible way of a supper club. The atmosphere is throwback elegance with booths and tables, a fireplace, private dining screens and dimmed lighting. We started with an appetizer of the "Not Your Nana's" arancini meatballs - three huge homemade beef and pork meatballs in marinara. Our dinners were the Norwegian salmon fillet and the short rib ragu lasagna. Both were beautifully prepared, perfectly portioned and delicious. Deserts were the pecan pie and a complimentary birthday butterscotch sundae. The service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
My wife and I ate here as it was one of the few restaurants near downtown Cedarburg open on a Sunday night for dinner. The high of our evening was when we first were seated, then it gradually got worse. If I were rating the service alone, this would be a 5 star review. I think my water was refilled roughly every 5 minutes. (Would be easier to just have larger glasses). My wife and I only ordered our entrees, no drinks or appetizers. We were offered soup or salad. My wife ordered the meat and dumpling soup which was average and I ordered the Cesar Salad (which was an unmentioned 2 dollar up charge, but was enormous so I didn't mind). The salad was the best past of my meal. My wife's Chicken Marsala lacked flavor and required the addition of salt. My prime rib, ordered medium rare came medium well at best. Nothing pink about that piece of meat, thankfully it was still flavorful. I would normally send it back but judging by how many empty seats there were in the restaurant I wasn't going to be that customer with a 28 dollar piece of meat. I ordered the garlic mash with it but it was inedible as it was like licking a salt shaker. We didn't order dessert, as we had enough of the low quality food that was bought to us.

Yelp
Friday night was my first time at Galioto's. We arrived about 8:30pm with a party of 5. We walked through the bar to get to the hostess stand, not realizing there were 2 doors. The bar is super cute with a romantic little nook on one end! I'm so happy I "accidentally" walked through! We were greeted warmly and seated promptly, despite our late arrival and no reservation. Service was excellent! Our server highlighted house specialties, and we ordered them! The pork chop got rave reviews! Our bottle of wine was excellent! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I always forget how great it is here! From the fabulous glass of French Rose to the beet salad, calamari appetizer, blackened ahi tuna & spedini w/angel hair. All awesome. We love sitting in the bar, with t.v's and the friendly staff!

Yelp
Hidden Gem. A supper club with a unique and delicious menu. Traditional supper clubs may seem out of style, but don't let the outside of this place fool you. The food is incredible. The main restaurant is small with a fireplace so make reservations. The bar doesn't hold a lot but it's the best place in our opinion. The best menu item for us is the Spedini. Best spedini west of Italy...seriously. For $11 you get two, good-sized portions. It's on the small plate/appetizer menu. The rest of the menu is the same. Great classics and a few unique things you won't find anywhere else. Service is fantastic and the hostesses are very welcoming.

Yelp
I've been going to Galioto's for a few years, but just to meet friends and share small plates in the bar. We love what they offer...and the bar is cozy. The food has always been wonderful, and Happy Hour prices are nice. This time we made reservations to eat in the dining room. I love the warmth of the decor. The food and service was perfect. They went above and beyond to make our selections the best! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Great Friday night fish fry. Good food, friendly staff makes for pleasant dining experience.

Yelp
For great Italian fare in Cedarburg, Galioto's is the place. I've been here in the past, but wanted a recent review to reflect this gem in Five Corners. Years ago, I remember celebrating my birthday here while a local gun club met. We sat in the same room and had lovely evening. It was especially memorable because they all sang Happy Birthday to me when the tiramisu was brought out. On my recent visit, we came here for my mom's birthday party. The larger room is closed for construction, so they seated our party in an interesting configuration. Our table was off to the side of the fireplace in the romantically lit dining room. Despite the weirdness, the meal was enjoyable. We started the evening out with crostini and a choice of three toppings: a tapanade, a bruchetta base, and creamy cheese. The trio was tasty and light. We also had chicken pesto pizza as an appetizer. It was delicious. I would definitely have it again. For my entree, I had the Norwegian salmon fillet while my fiance had the black and blue steak. Others in the party had chicken and prime rib. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had a nice side of veggies. For my starch, I had asiago mashed potatoes. These were a great complement to the salmon and very well seasoned. The asiago taste is strong and not overpowering. I wanted more of those!! I shared a delicious pinot noir with my brother and wife. The wine was perfectly chilled and excellent. We ended the night with birthday cake that my dad brought with us. Galioto's kept in the fridge for us and cut it as well. The service was attentive without being pushy. I enjoyed a nice birthday dinner with friends and family. Galioto's is a great, cozy Italian restaurant.

Yelp
Fantastic place to go in Cedarburg. The service is GREAT. We usually go during the week and stay at the bar. We try different martinis and then eat. We usually get several small plates and share. Can't say enough good things. We love the new remodel!

Yelp
I wish I could give 2.5 stars. Had dinner here on our overnight trip to Cedarburg. It was very meh. The inside and decor was very nice. We decided to order from the small plates menu, which offers 21 items. However, 3 of the 21 were not available, and of course we wanted all 3. When that many items are not available on a menu, Im annoyed and disappointed. We did order a brie platter that was good, and a Shrimp and Avocado "cocktail" which was mostly salsa with a touch of shrimp and I think I saw some avocado in there. The beef tenderloin small plate was the best thing we had. One thing that irked me was the soda. It was a fountain drink. The waitress asked me if I wanted a refill. I said yes. In my 35 years of life, I can not recall a waitress serving a fountain soda at a restaurant offer a refill and charge for it. But yep. The bill at the end charged for 2 sodas. If she had told me it was a charge I would not have been able to complain. But dont offer a refill and then charge me for it. Just a pet peeve.

Brian H.

Yelp
My wife and I have been going to Galioto's for years and have loved every experience there. The food is always fantastic, some of the best Italian you will find outside of Milwaukee. The service has always been outstanding and the decor and atmosphere have been updated recently to create a great dining experience. While the Italian food is fantastic, some of their other options may be their best like the Friday fish fry, Saturday night prime rib or the barbeque ribs they have on the menu. I can honestly say that we have never had a bad meal here. EVERYTHING is made in-house. The bread, the soups, the salad dressings, the entrees, everything! You don't find that kind of freshness and quality often and it really creates a wonderful meal all around. This is the place we always take friends and family and have always enjoyed our expierence. Definitely worth trying out for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
My wife and I discovered this gem about three years ago and have eaten there many times. The food, team and service at Galiito's are excellent all around. Meg always welcomes us and gets us a great table. We've gotten to know the waitstaff there too--always friendly and helpful. We bring our two children too--it's family-friendly. The food is top-notch. Always cooked just right, the way we order it. Finally, it's the rare restaurant that does formal and informal very well. Pricing is mid-range, and the value is very good.

Eliza B.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our take-home meal after having a drink at bar. I had called ahead to make sure the timing worked out and it sure did. The really nice thing was that the food was delicious after the 10 minute drive home. (Dine-in still limited) We had the Sicilian Steak and ribs. Their new outdoor patio looks super cute. We will try that when warmer days return

Yelp
On our first visit I would have given 5 stars, or 6 STARS if I could! Hubby and I went away for our anniversary and stayed at one of the cute little B&B's in town. They made us reservations for dinner here on a beautiful winter night with a light snowfall, there was only one other table occupied in the restaurant. They seated us right in front of the fireplace and the ambiance was soooo romantic! Our server was excellent. We ordered a fantastic bottle of wine. I ordered the ahi tuna and it was so good I talked about it for over a year until we finally went back to Cedarburg, It was done perfectly. Hubby loved his steak. So, this quaint little place went down in history as one of our favorite anniversary memories. Recently we made it back on mothers day, but I was a little disappointed this time. I ordered the tuna steak again but this time the rice it was sitting on was hard.... I mean like almost break your teeth hard, like it had been sitting out for a long time. The server seemed confused about the menu. Asked me what potato I wanted then brought the hard rice with out saying anything. I HHHATE complaining in a restaurant and I almost never, ever do, but it was not edible so I had to say something. The server brought me a potato instead but the little hard grains of rice were still covering my plate and were all over my fish. Meh, I managed to scrape most of it off but it was annoying. They should have taken my plate back and fixed it. Hubby had italian this time, veal parm I think, and he said it was great. Not 100% sure if we will be back.

Yelp
We were given a $25 gift card for Christmas and decided to go there on December 27, 2019. What a pleasant surprise! After the holidays, we didn't want to eat a full dinner, we sat at the bar and ordered small plates that were outstanding. My husband and I split speidini which is rolled up steak with herbs and cheese and breadcrumbs, it was delicious. We also ordered eggplant; very good and Ruben rolls. The food portions were very generous, we brought food home and had dinner the next day. The bartender hustlled like I've never seen with a packed bar and he got everybody's drink orders out fast, highly recommend the place. I have driven past his place for several years and thought I'll have to stop sometime.
google avatar

Sherry L.

Yelp
I came here for my birthday. We sat at the bar and the bartender was awesome. We sit for dinner and the whole mood changed. It was not busy at all. It took forever to get our drinks. My mom and I shared a dish because we have smaller appetites. After ordering the dish the waiter tells us this time he won't charge us for the typical $5 up charge to share a dish???? Come on, seriously. The food was mediocre at best. And the desert was not great. This place did not wow me. The food was just ok. And the waiter took forever to get our bill and take our payment.

Paul G.

Yelp
My children gave me a $120.00 gift certificate as a birthday present. I have been a customer since it opened in Cedarburg and a customer of the owners when they were in Thiensville. When I presented my gift certificate against a $115. 49 check the waitress returned and said any amount less than $5.00 is kept by the house. This is some bogus rule they made up to take advantage of customers who purchased a gift certificates. I will never set foot in this establishment again.

Yelp
What a difference a day makes, or in this case a couple of weeks. We went there tonight and had a thoroughly awful experience. First, some background, Thursday night ~7:15pm. The dining room was about 60% full. At least 3 servers for 15 tables so they were adequately staffed in the front. Everything took FOREVER. Initial order taken, and had to wait for drinks, water (really? waiting for WATER?), waited even longer for another round. Salad and soup eventually came out. Then another bout of the doldrums waiting for food. When it finally arrived, the food was about 2 degrees above ambient room temperature. When I asked how long our food had been waiting in the kitchen I was assured that it "Came right out". Hardly. Bad enough that cold food was delivered, but wait, it gets better. First the waitress argues that it wasn't cold, then the HOSTESS argues that its not cold, then they proceed to bill us for the cold and uneaten food. So the food was delivered cold, and then instead of handling it graciously, they decide to argue about it. So the moral of this story is...If you like to pay 4 star price for 1 star service and cold food, then Galioto's is your restaurant. As for me, I'd rather eat horse dropping than go there again.
google avatar

Kevin R.

Yelp
Family run place, but not really family friendly. The hostess and server seemed irritated that we would bring our kids with us to their restaurant. The food was average, but definately overpriced. I am not a huge fan of italian anyways, so when I want italian, I want great italian. This would not be it for me.

Peter G.

Yelp
We always have a pleasant dinner here. The atmosphere would be great if they got rid of the brown paper on the tables! Very hometown attempt at elegance.we'll be back!

Rick M.

Yelp
Had dinner there last night. Worse dining experience we EVER had !!! Only one other table seated when we came in. It took and hour and 45 minutes to get a Cesar salad. $15 for a salad with 3 1/2 inch grilled shrimp. REALLY? $70 dollars for 2 salad and a plate of pasta. Horrible service...ridiculous prices. Bring back the road house !!!

Dave D.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in on a Tuesday evening and were so happy with our dining experience. The ambiance and decor were fantastic. The food was even better. The waitress informed us that they were late getting my wife's dish started and she offered free dessert for both of us. Honestly we did not care as we got lost in conversation and soaked in the whole vibe of this cool establishment. We will definitely add Galioto's to our list of restaurants we like to patronize!

Richard S.

Yelp
I thought everything was great for our fish fry, with one minor grumble... They may want to turn up the heat a bit on their clam chowder. It was barely above room temperature. Having gotten horribly ill from clam chowder several years ago, it gave me some anxiety. Other than that, the fish was excellent (Fried cod) potato pancakes get a "pretty good", coleslaw was great as was the half loaf of warmed house bread. (Went for the upgrade from the usual rye bread) If you're coming in on Highway 60, don't follow the Highway 181 south detour as it's still opened at that point..

Justin B.

Yelp
SLOW! Really slow. The food is bland and not worth the prices. It took us almost 3 hours from sit down to stand up. The waitress even forgot some items. The atmosphere is dark and it's hard to read the menus. They have a kids menu but do not offer anything for the kids to color or draw on/with. It was loud and hard to hear the waitress. When I asked for a manager I was told none were available. I wasted more than $100 in food and drink. I doubt I'll be back.

John M.

Yelp
I've had several fine meals at Galioto's. The Italian food is a nice change-of-pace for Cedarburg, where most restaurants offer variations on the ubiquitous "Wisconsin restaurant" menu. (But of course, you can get steaks, etc. at Galioto's too.) You're not going to have your socks blown off here, but you also won't ever be consumed by regret. The veal cutlet dishes are all quite nice, it's typically what I get when I go.
google avatar

Ron B.

Yelp
Excellent Food!! Homemade Salad Dressings, Fresh vegetables and great portions. Food was very well seasoned!! Great Steak
google avatar

Gregg B.

Yelp
Ambiance was great, our server was a bit confused about numerous things though. Maybe she was new? Food was presented well and cooked perfectly but was disappointed at the taste. Very bland. I had a garlic rubbed ribeye and even with a strong flavored component like garlic, I needed to add salt. My wife had ribs that were fall off the bone done, but was disappointed with the boring, canned tasting bbq sauce. Too bad because it really is a nice place.
google avatar

Angi K.

Yelp
Loved the portabella ravioli. But everything was a bit pricey.

Diana F.

Yelp
Never would go back. Over priced. Not a good experience. Waiter was great. That's all that was good about our time spent there.

Ramona B.

Yelp
Favorite place for a fish fry. Staff is very friendly and food is always good. Bartender is amazing! He is always aware of who needs a refill and remembers your drink, even from your last visit.

Bethany C.

Yelp
While the atmosphere and service were fine the food was simply awful and extraordinarily over priced. Literally the only thing that was edible was the bread. I had the spinach side salad with "warm bacon dressing" which was clearly microwaved grocery store dressing. The "jumbo" bacon wrapped scallops were fine themselves but the bacon was underdone. The broccoli risotto was runny and crunchy. My husband had the ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes. Both were uneventful but not good. Overall terrible food and I will not be going back.

Yelp
We've been here many times over the years since it was reincarnated as 1st Galioto's and now Galioto's Twelve21. It was a very welcome change from the old restaurant that was there for years. They really did a wonderful job bringing the building up to date and decorating it. This is the 2nd redecoration of the interior since they took over. The inside is trendy, comfortable and fairly casual although I think they are still trying for the "fine dining" crowd. Their food however has been less than stellar and very inconsistent. I took my sisters there on Friday for the fish fry. They each ordered broiled cod. It arrived cold and the drawn butter was not butter. We couldn't figure out what it was. My entree; Dave's chicken franchaise was hot, but that is because it had been prepared ahead of time and microwaved to reheat. It was soggy and tough. It was not a good dining experience. We probably won't go back again for awhile. Our waitress, Chris, was really sweet, attentive and professional. So the service is not a problem, it's all in the kitchen.

Chris W.

Yelp
This is one of our most favorite restaurants. We've tried every appetizer on the menu and love every one of them. What's nice is that it's *always* good and the staff is super nice. Just a wonderful place to go.

Noones B.

Yelp
I shall sum this place up for you. Overpriced, poor management, mediocre food, heartless owners.

Yelp
This was a difficult review to leave. I will start with the negatives. Galioto's needs to hire extra help for the bar. My wife and I had reservations and we arrived 30 minutes early to just sit at the bar and have a couple of drinks. We ended up waiting 30 minutes to order beacuse the bartender was so busy making drinks for people eating in the restaurant, she couldn't get to us. When she did, my wife ordered a martini that we could tell the bartended did not know how to make. It was horrible and almost undrinkable. But given the cost of it, my wife drank it. The prices are also a bit high. After that, all was good. The wait staff was very intentive and friendly, when we arrived at out table, they brought us a nice bread basket, and explained the menu to us. I ordered a pasta dish and my wife ordered a blackeded steak which she said was perfect. for an app, we ordered calamari which was perfect. We left full and happy with the food, however our experience at the bar was very bad.
