LOVED the food here. My boyfriend loves his Portuguese steak and I always love a good seafood paella! They also accommodated my milk allergy and were so kind! Great experience!

I had a nice time here. They give you free bread when you sit which is nice and warm and fluffy. We got the Sopa a Portuguesa which was good. The Galito Trio appetizer which was just okay; 3 of everything, 3 wings, 3 pasteis de bacalhau and 3 pieces of fried chouriço. The Bifana Sandwich which was nice. Plain but still good. Fries were really good. I asked for sauce on the side which they gave me a ton of and it was excellent. Alcatra was great. Very fun. It comes in like the handmade clay pot. He joked it looks like what a medieval man would eat. Lol. It was really good, maybe a tiny bit too salty but great when mixed with the plain potatoes and rice on the side. They still have the cafe open at night and it’s so reasonably priced. Cheapest espresso in the state. Lol. We shared a Galão (latté) for dessert. Service was a little slow and I would probably get something else the next time I come but it was still all good. The highlight being the molho and the Sumol in the glass container. I heard they have excellent espresso martinis from someone else but I did not get one myself.

On my way back from Foxboro a Google search lead me here. I'm from Fall River where Portuguese is everywhere. Now living in Warwick it's a hard thing to find. The Portuguese nachos were good, the pork alentejana my fiancee got was good, and the pasta mariso that I got was good. Really good sauce. The bread was soft and fresh. Our server confused the cacoila pizza to a cacoila sandwich. I will definitely be back with my fiancee.

We came here for a nice early dinner, we were seated immediately. I had the Bacalhau A Portuguesa codfish, with boiled eggs, potatoes, peppers. He had the Octopus stewed what we really liked was that the food was freshly served the flavor was delicious. Then we had cappuccinos with one of their delicious dessert called (Sawdust) highly recommended if you have a sweet tooth and as an appetizer we had the portuguese nachos which its actually potatoes but really good.😊

We ordered a carne asada platter for our New Year’s party. It didn’t meet our expectations, not even close. Upon inspection we were not even sure what it was or what cut of meet. It was brown squares covered in a brown sauce with different colored and textured potatoes along with 4-5 overdone thin red peppers that was supposed to accent the dish. Upon presenting the dish to the owner and dissatisfaction, she raised her voice to me and basically said “you paid you eat it”! She was completely, rude, unprofessional, and had complete disregard for the customer! Do not eat there. The food, ownership, and respect for the customer is non existent.

On Mother’s Day we had a reservation for 7 people at 3pm. When we arrived the waitress told us that the table we were supposed to be seated at just ordered dessert so we had to wait outside. 45 mins later after multiple large parties went inside before us, I went into ask about our table and was told that they had paid already but still hadn’t left. Finally, we were called in at 4pm… no bread or drinks until 4:25… food was brought out around 4:50. We asked for straws and the server brought out a handful of unwrapped straws in his bare hand … and we were not given menus right away because “another table still had them”. Mind you they were printed on bright green paper and they hadn’t printed enough. Very unprofessional and unprepared. In my opinion the manager or owner should have come to us to apologize personally and offer the mothers in our group a free drink or dessert. The menu prices were jacked up for the holiday and the bar mixes for drinks had Marshalls price tags on them still .. looked awful. Anyway, now I have heard that this location is closing down and I can see why the owner didn’t care about providing a good experience. Very shameless and selfish if you ask me….

UPDATE: 9/14/2021 they don't have little necks and oysters anymore. We went for the 1.5$ oysters and little necks. I was very pleased with the size of them! I've been to another restaurant in Providence where they do 1$ oysters and they were so skinny but these were fat! We also got their Watermelon margaritas, a Caparina, and Watermelon lemonade and they were all delicious. Service was a little on the slower side but staff was very pleasant.

ordered takeout, two junior steaks. The steak was dry and the french fries tasted like grease. It was very little juice with the dish and my overcooked eggs were larger than the steak itself will never go back. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone..

I was highly impressed with Galito, I've heard excellent reviews over the years and the hype is absolutely accurate. I'll start out by saying that the staff were incredibly welcoming, prompt, and knowledgeable about the menu and the daily specials. The meal prices are comparable to local competitors. The meal portions were very generous. I would highly recommend the Lombo de porco. The restaurant is also fairly decent in size, they offer dine or order out. They also have a midsize parking lot for off street parking. I would highly recommend Galito's to others looking for Portuguese cuisine.

Food: This was my first time here and we had bread but asked for olive oil. I don't know what kind they use but it was one of the best olive oils I tasted lol We ordered The cod cakes for apps and that was made so delicious! Be careful of fish bones though. Then for entrees I orders a shrimp mozambique and it came with rice and fries. Everything was so good and flavorful. The rice was a bit lukewarm though. My fiancé orders the grilled octopus and I'm not a huge fan of octopus but his dish was actually really good too. He was satisfied. For dessert i ordered the pastel de nata and it was yummy. Service: the staff was super nice and attentive. Ambiance: the place is cute, clean and spacious. good parking too.

The worst service. We had a reservation and still waited 30 minutes to be seated. Waitress forgot to put our order in and we waited over 1 hour for our food. Save your money and time and go somewhere else!

A family favorite, one if our go-to portuguese restaurant! Food always great, never too busy, good service. Been craving octopus and i know they always have it on menu. Though it's a little expensive, at least i know it will always taste great! My only issue was that i ask for veggies instead of the potatoes it usually comes with, and they didn't give me a lot. Still tasted great; my father fot a salmon plate with shrimp (day special) and my mother got the regular grilled salmon. Both tasted great. There was also a steak special that came with stuffed shrimp; my brother in law said it was great. The kids had pasta and chicken wings.

Very disappointed with the paella and calamari appetizer! Not fresh seafood at all contrary to what we were told.

I've ordered from here several times, always the same meal, but I have never received such a small portion--only four tiny wings and no breast meat, along with a ton of fries and rice. Who orders a dinner just to have fries and rice? I have hosted many family events at this facility and have always enjoyed the food, so I'm not sure what's going on. I don't know if it's because it's the end of the day, but the service and staff seem completely lost. The GrubHub driver even left because he was tired of waiting, and then I had to wait for another driver. The poor customer service representative told me to look up the manager's contact information to send pictures instead of providing it directly or offering to send me a text so I could reply.

I've liked everything I've gotten here, from the bife to the octopus. Can't complain at all.

This restaurant is delicious! Had the pleasure of eating at Galito a couple of days ago, started with the appetizer, cod cakes; they were so fresh! And the entree was amazing! Definitely will return! Service was prompt and friendly.

I am not normally a fan of Portuguese food in the least. A friend encouraged me to try Galitos, and I reluctantly agreed. Wow! Was I ever surprised! We shared several plates to try a bit of everything. I started with the seafood bisque, which I thought was good, and very unique; however their Portuguese soup was simply amazing! Next we tried the garlic shrimp, which was good, and the Spanish littlenecks that were probably my favorite way to have ever eaten a clam! My wife and I split the paella for two, which was absolutely the best paella I have ever had, including the one I make myself! The rice is nice and plump, the seafood is abundant, and the flavors are simply amazing. I only wish that the paella for two included two half lobster tails (but I didn't mind sharing). Please keep in mind that this dish for two could easily feed four! I ordered the "sawdust" as s desert. It is a Portuguese style tiramisu, but with a more pudding-like texture. Its flavor is very good. My wife got the homemade cheesecake, which was simply out of this world!!! After a nice evening of good friends, good food, and good wine, we had plenty to take home to enjoy tomorrow. Thank you to our good friend for turning us on to this amazing Portuguese restaurant. Think Portuguese food without the heavy salty taste. I am now a huge fan!!!

The fact that this restaurant isn't a solid 4/5 stars on here blows my mind! Every aspect of our dining experience was a solid 5 stars! The service was great, the cocktails were delicious and food was absolutely amazing! If you come here during the fall season, you have to try the Caramel Cider Sangria! It was fantastic and one was not enough! lol I started with the Sopa Á Portuguesa (Traditional Portuguese Soup) It was delicious! Filled with elbow noodles, kale, carrots kidney beans and loaded with flavor! Jesse and I weren't dining alone, so we all decided on sampling a couple different appetizers... -Camarăo Alhinho (Shrimp in garlic sauce) Very good! The shrimp were nice sized and had a snap when you bit into them and the sauce was delish! -Ameijoas À Espanhola (Littlenecks in sauteed onions & tomato/garlic sauce) Soooo delicious! The little necks were so fresh and the sauce was truly amazing! You seriously wanted to drink it with a straw, lol but the bread was great to sop it all up! This would be the bomb on top of pasta! For our entree, the hubby and I decided on the Paella for two. Honestly there was enough in this pot for four people!! It was likely one of the beat paella dishes I have ever had. The rice was cooked to perfection the flavor was spot on and It was filled with squid rings, shrimp, little necks, chourico, pork, peppers, olives, immitation crab meat, carrots, peas and one half of a lobster. (Personally felt it should have been an entire lobster for two people to share). At this point we were getting pretty darn full and then the dessert tray was put under our noses. Who can say no to freshly made in-house desserts!!! I went with classic cheesecake and it was superb! Topped with a chocolate drizzle and a straberry jam"ish" topping! Sadly, I just couldn't eat it all as I was oljust too full, but boy was it good!! This was a great dining experience and it will be added to our go-to list of restaurants!!

This place,..one word, INCREDIBLE! My first visit here was absolutely amazing! We were seated right away and everyone was extremely friendly. It's a little brightly lit but,..hey, you know they are not hiding anything. lol My girlfriend is Portuguese and recommended this place so we went and I have to say it is the BEST Portuguese restaurant I've ever been to. We had the Portuguese soup for appetizer and it was fantastic and authentic! I ended up ordering the grilled octopus. I wasn't sure what to expect. But to keep this short, it was the absolute BEST octopus I've EVER had in my entire life! It was cooked perfect and super tender! When we go back it's going to be extremely hard to order anything else! See the picture on this one because words do not do it justice. If you are a fan of Portuguese food and octopus, do yourself a favor and order this dish. You will Not Be disappointed. Prices were on point and I realized I spent more in the past for a few pizzas delivered than I did here. I love it and I guarantee you will too!

Let me begin by saying this was a take out order. It was done in a timely manner. Young man that greeted me was very Polite. Can't say much for Ambiance seeing I was only there for take out. Food: I place and order of Grilled Octopus to surprise my husband. I went home to serve it to him and he had to spit it out.My husband said Octopus was bad. (Now as for my husbands back ground goes,he has been a chef for over 30 years) We called Galitos right away and woman answer my husband explained problem she said well you will have to bring the food to us. So my husband did ,the woman walked into the kitchen and came right back out saying cook said that the Octopus was still good and still had another day to use it ! Well my husband said I do not agree and would like my money back. The woman than mumbled under her breath while heading to register.My husband ask what did you just say .. Lady just put her head down. Like really what kind of restaurant treats you with such ignorance.

I had a nice dinner here tonight. I always thought the kale soup my grandmother made was Caldo verde, but hers was a little different than this one. Still good, though. I wasn't crazy about the potato chip-like side. The flan was good. The dining area was a little smaller than I would have guessed. I think some of the inside space is a bar or lounge. People around me all spoke Portuguese, so the food may be authentic.

We were surprised at how good the food was at this restaurant. We started with the 'Lapas Grelhadas' which were outstanding, and the sauce that accompanied the limpets was fantastic!! I ordered the 'paella' which was also really good, but I wish had some more seasoning. My husband had the 'Alcatra a Terceirense' which was also spectacular but could have used a bit more rice on the side. The only food negative was the chocolate cake, as you could tell it was not prepared in house and tasted like the box it came in. However, the entire dinner went beyond our expectations, and we hope to try other menu items in the future. We also hope that they get more wait help as they struggled not only with our table, but they also had difficulty coping with the other tables around us.

Figured it's local to me why not give it a shot even though reading the reviews on this place. Well the bad reviews weren't wrong as someone who's in the service industry 10 min for a greet time is outrageous especially when you're at 50% capacity. As we get up to leave server finally comes over but it was already too late. Madeira in East Providence never disappoints worth the drive.

Starting with the bread, it was old. My baked stuffed shrimp was dry and overcooked. The octopus was salty. Could not get out of there fast enough. Will not be returning.

i came today to the restaurant to try the Portuguese food for the first time with my family, and i wasn't vey impressed with the way the waitress served us. She talked to us with an attitude when we asked if we could get some extra bread. not impressed with the service at all.

Nice Portuguese spot hidden in Pawtucket off of Newport Ave. Came here for dinner last night and it didn't disappoint. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the interior looks renovated. Nice setup - plenty of seating. I've read prior reviews about poor service but we didn't experience that at all. Our waitress was so sweet, very attentive and friendly. They have a dinner for two special Mon-Thur consisting of a bottle of wine and 2 entrees for $29.95! Not a bad deal. They start you off with a small loaf of warm bread and seasoned butter. We ordered the Galito Trio for apps - came with wings, cod cakes and the Portuguese staple, chouriço. Everything was super tasty - we were fighting for the last piece of cod cake. We went with a pink moscato (Beringer - not the best I've had but good enough for dinner) For dinner we went with pork Alentejana and the Bitoque - no complaints, everything was delicious. As with most Portuguese restaurants, the portions are ridiculous - enough for dinner, lunch the next day and dinner again. New Portuguese place to put on my list of go to places! Go check this place out, worth a visit.

Really good and authentic Portuguese fare in an spacious and beautifully decorated restaurant, with an ample parking lot. No reservations accepted, but we went during the workweek and there was plenty of seating available. We were seated immediately and the server was courteous and prompt and knowledgeable of the menu. For appetizers we had the caldo verde and the spicy clam stuffie. For the main entree we had their featured paella for two, which turned out to be not only delicious but also very large, big enough for at least a party of four. It's made with a combination of seafood and meats, similar to a paella valenciana, with pieces of lobster, mussels, scallops, as well as pieces of chorizo, chicken, and pork, and small black olives and strips of red pepper, all in a bed of deliciously flavored saffron rice. I'm very impressed by this dish and my girlfriend particularly enjoyed the olives, and the server brought us an extra portion to go upon our request, to enjoy later.

The service was excellent! Love what they've done with the new place. The more opened and elegant look is a Def great change for this place. Patricia was an excellent server. Super sweet, knowledgeable and attentive. The flavors of the meals could have been better for a Portuguese restaurant we felt it lacked a bit of flavor "salt" to be exact otherwise it was good. We had mostly seafood dishes, a pasta dish with seafood, a seafood stew that came in a pot and grilled bacalhau. A few apps wasn't a fan of the stuffies the consistency was too mushy. But otherwise everything was good the drinks and especially the service hence why I am giving it a 4. I recommend this place however super adorbs.

Not sure why I haven't given this place a review yet since This is one of our favorite local restaurants ! No matter what we order it's always delicious. Frango no Churrasco made spicy is one of my favorite dishes here. The Service is always great , homemade bread to start always comes out hot and your drinks are never empty ! Although they are not offering dine in right now, we will gladly keep supporting Galitos with take out weekly.

Such awesome Portuguese food. The food was awesome, the service was horrible. We were sitting for about 20 minutes before someone took our food order, then we had to wait another 20 minutes for the check. We came in the day after Christmas and there were quite a few large parties, not sure if they just weren't expecting the crowds. I ordered the Portuguese soup to start. It was good but not great. It needed some salt and the beef was dry. It's hard when you are comparing their soup to the one your vava has been making for years. Our table also started off with the wings and they were awesome. Super crunch and flavorful. For dinner I went with the Bife À Chefe, the 12oz steak, with a fried egg, special sauce, rice, and Portuguese fries. It was so freaking good. The steak was cooked perfectly and was a nice thick cut. The sauce was delicious and perfect for dunking some fries in. It will be hard to come in and order anything besides that. The dessert menu looked awesome, but I was way too full for that. The white sangria was good, had pineapple juice in it.

Delicious Portuguese food. The food is reasonably priced with large portions, friendly staff and accommodating during covid! I enjoy getting take out with curbside pick up! Every dish I've had is flavorful. I love the trays of food too! Can't beat it.

I love this went for the first time last night the chocolate martinis are yummy and the cod fish cakes delight. The customer service is exceptional a u can take a date or the whole family they give it a great personal touch will come again soon

The food was mediocre and the service was terrible. Ambiance was a coffee shop with "Portuguese food" The host (I mean manager) seemed more interested in the bar than making restaurant customers comfortable. The owners should keep an eye on the the cameras and read the reviews. evite est lugar a todo custo! serviço horrível, comida e ambiente! Em vez disso, vá para East Prov ou Fall River.

Excellent Portuguese steak, very authentic and flavorful, I highly recommend this restaurant if you want an amazing meal

We met the owner of this restaurant last summer on Terceira, one of the Azore Islands and promised if ever out this way from California we would stop in....Well we did today with our cousins. TERRIFIC meal....unfortunately Victor Santos was not there but we had the pleasure of meeting his daughter, Tanya, a very sweet lady. Service was TERRIFIC, food was TERRIFIC...so sorry we don't live closer...would DEFINITELY return when back here...btw, the bread was soooo fresh and delicious and the red Sangria was the best. We had assorted dished and all 4 of us were very happy. The assorted appetizer plate was delicious.. Wife had the Alcatra which she loved. So happy we made it here.

New management came in last November and things have definitely improved. I feel like the service has gotten much better and more professional. The food was quite tasty, too. The caldo verde seems to have gotten better. I ordered it the last time I was here and hated it (had to send it back). I tried again yesterday, and it was much better! Lots of chouriço and the broth was more flavorful. Ask ordered the carne alentejana, which was very nice. The pork could have been a little more tender, but the cut of meat was lean, and that can be hard to accomplish. The camarão alhinho was delicious with a generous portion of shrimp. The fries, both traditional and flat cut, are made in house, and you can tell. Desserts were amazing as well!

Called in advance for a reservation for a large party, When we arrived, they said they lost track of time and our table wasn't ready. We were there a total of 3-1/2 hours......the waitress rolled her eyes several times, so insulting. Food horrible!! I asked for a rare steak and it came out well done. How one can screw up rare steak is unknown to me. Waitress offered to take it back to the chef to have it re-done. At that point we were already there almost 3 hours---I said no, was running out of time and patience....I had 2 bites, that was it. She should have offered to take off menu but did not. Others in my party also had similar experiences. Never again.

Horrible experience. Went for moms birthday. 3 hours. Yep family member left after two hours and no food. Four steaks ordered. All four well done. Ordered rare, two medium rare one medium well. Surf and turf horrible- tasted like barely defrosted shrimp. Waitress with a horrible "I owe you" attitude. Used to love this place before sold. Complained about wait and hostess said 2 1/2 hours was about right. Are you kidding me? I know people are short staffed but kitchen overcooking everything and crappy attitudes when you have patient people (former waitresses) is inexcusable. This was your second chance. You won't get a third. DO NOT GO. If I could give zero stars I would.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant lately and finally had the chance. Upon first entering they did not seem so friendly but, once different Staff appeared it was better. The prices are reasonable and we ordered a selection of different appetizers . The Portuguese Stuffies were tasty but overdone and dry, the nachos with potato instead of chips we did not care for. However, the shrimp in garlic wine sauce and Calimari were very tasty. Overall, 3.5 stars, it's worth trying again.

I live about 200 yards from this fine Portuguese establishment. I am tempted to go every day and chow down on delicious Portuguese cuisine, its hard to resist! I have had Paella, Carne alentejana (deep fried potatoes and pork loin with clams, olives & pickled vegetables), chorico ao bombeiro (flaming chorizo) , bife a casa (Portuguese steak w/ roast peppers and egg on top). All items were very tasty and I only had one minor complaint. They did not property clean the clam and mussel shells and there was a little grit in the paella. That's the only reason that I didn't give 5 stars. If you order dishes for take out they give you enough for 5 people and its under $30. WHAT A DEAL! If you have the chance you can't go wrong with giving Galitos a try!

Less than a 1 star review all tied to the owner Tanya and her terrible attitude/lack of overall respect for her clients and staff. Big B. We won't patron there again. Food was just OK and bathroom was neglected. We had a party of 30 there for my parents 50th anniversary. Calling the restaurant daily throughout the week trying to finalize plans, with the order, etc.. only got a call back from the owner the day before. On the day before we asked when we could go to decorate for the party, Tanya, the owner said 8pm was fine, but they closed at 9, meaning we just had till then to finish decorating. We got there at 8:30 and Tanya raised her hand, telling us to come back at 9pm, because the tables going to be used were occupied by another party. No apologies, just a rude face telling us to come back. Day of the event, we didn't have enough place seatings for all our guests, so I as partial host sat at the corner of a table. Then the dish both guests of honor, my sister, the other host, and others guests ordered, didn't have lobster, the main ingredient and reason why the dish was ordered. The owner had our order several days in advance. Why we were just told this while serving the food is beyond me. Total lack of customer service and just general respect for anyone. Come time for dessert, my sister asked about plates, mentioning we brought some and the server said she could provide. It made no difference. Great we thought. Then came the bill and there was $25 charge for plates. Also, yep... $46 for that dish with no lobster. I asked about the $25 and Tanya said it is for the washing, etc. I explained we told the server we had brought our own and she told us nothing of cost. Tanya said her server was likely confused due to offering plates for parties with family style serving and made no adjustment, instead complained we brought our own flan.. even though we bought dozens of their tasteless pasteis de nata. Again... less than a 1 star review. Don't wish anyone bad business, but this is the worst customer experience we've ever had. My food personaly was just ok w little meat, with too many potatoes drowning in sauce, where my uncle with the same dish by my side, had no sauce. Bathroom stall I went to was filthy with little paper. Never again!

Drinks are ridiculously cheap and taste great. Food is served as a big portion and worth a try on a date night. Occasionally they have live music being played too

After driving by the restaurant so many times, I finally decided to get some take out with some friends at a local Portuguese restaurant. The chicken sandwich and steak sandwich were both served on a Portuguese roll and came with a hearty portion of fries. I also ordered the Carne de Porco à Alentejana. I enjoyed it. Nice big chunks of pork loin, cubes of potatoes and littlenecks simmering in a lightly spicy wine sauce. As you can see there is plenty of sauce to dunk all those fries, and even the rolls! So good. I will definitely come back for a sit down meal soon!

Want good Portuguese food? Galito Restaurant Is where you need to go. Great food friendly staff

My husband and I got a gift certificate to Galitos and we were extremely disappointed. First trip both meals were completely flavorless and over cooked. Second trip we came around 5pm there were maybe 4 tables. Our waitress came over smelling like cigarettes. We waited 45 mins for our meals to come out. My husbands bitoque came out first and was well done (he requested medium) and cold to the point where the sauce (which tasted canned and no flavor) had a thin gelatinous coating on top. My frango came out 5 mins later rice steaming but chicken wasn't even lukewarm. I told the waitress that my husbands meal was cold and over cooked and mine was cold which she responded i will tell the owner. When she brought the check over she asked if I wanted to speak to the owner and charged us for both meals. We will not be back here and they need to get a new chef who can produce flavorful meals and cook a steak properly. I'd rather drive to east providence to o Dinis or Attleboro to sangrias.

My husband and I went to Galito for the first time today. We had heard about the new Portuguese Restaurant through friends and family in the area and decided to check it out for lunch. It was a nice experience and met our expectations. We frequent Portuguese Restaurants and are Portuguese ourselves so we're quite familiar with Portuguese cuisine. Galito has familiar selections similar to other Portuguese places except Galito has an Azorean flare, particularly serving traditional choices from the island of Terceira (alcatra is on the menu). The wait staff was very friendly and attentive, thanks Annie and Diana. We were delighted with Portuguese Nachos app (not Chips but instead round French fries topped with crumbled chouriço, olives, cheese, peppers, and sour cream) delicious! I had the lunch special, fish fillet (fried in a thin crispy batter) with sautéed onions and peppers over it and my husband had traditional Pork and Little Necks, also very tasty. We had wine, espresso and Portuguese brandy. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, we had lunch in the dining room but we could see that there was another part of the restaurant in the back that was more like a pub. So it seems like we could also go there to just have a drink and an appetizer if we would like some other time. Very satisfied and will return.

Always a great spot for fresh Portuguese cuisine. I typically go for lunch, where there are always great specials. The grilled octopus is always cooked just right. The cod is likewise seasoned properly and not overcooked like some Portuguese restaurants like. Today was a mini version of the Portuguese steak that was fantastic. Perfect cook, seasoning, portion & quality. Had a great cafe finish. Very impressed, can't wait to return!

I am not Portuguese, I feel like that's important to point out because I dont know Portuguese food. However, my friend and the group of women I went to all are from Portugal. They all drive 40mins to go eat here whenever possible. I think that says alot! It was my first time and I was a little nervous. However the menu is in both Portuguese and English. Perfect descriptions and the staff was beyond friendly. I very much enjoyed my food and and the atmosphere. I'll definitely be going back.

Service has really gone down hill since the remodel. Expected things to be difficult because of COVID but even with limited indoor seating it takes forever for service and even the quality of the food has declined. It has been that way the last few times we have visited and I don't think we will return again.

We were a party of 5. We waited 1hr 50 mins for our food to arrive. When the food did arrive 3 of the dishes were ice cold and the other 2 dishes were under cooked. When we brought it to the attention of the waitress she did offer to remake the dishes or we could order something else but we could not wait another 2 hours. I asked if they could take 3 cold meals off the bill, the manager refused. She only took 2 off. She stated "My wife only told her 2 were cold when she came to the table". She took my plate (3rd cold), threw it away and still charged me for the meal in the trash. She told us that sometimes due to the exhaust fan issues they need to open the back door and that is near where they put the food that was cooked so the food gets cold. (It was 17 ° outside) The waitress mentioned it had been happening all day. It is NOT unreasonable to expect a hot meal from a restaurant. Of course, covid has them short staffed (6 employees for 15 customers). It's unfortunate this restaurant has gone down hill we used to go several times and get take out also, but this is not the 1st time that the experience hasn't been good so we will not go back.

I hadn't been to Galito in some time. We enjoyed the Calamari to start, followed by some traditional Caldo Verde. The kids enjoyed the bifana sandiwiches with homemade fries, while we split an Ensopada de Marisco (which was enough for dinner the next night as well). Briana, our waitress, was attentive and friendly. We will be back!

I attended a birthday party for my wife's grandmother (100!) and we had a wonderful meal. The owner personally attended to the group of 10+ and I enjoyed my pork/littlenecks meal. Add to that some Portuguese red wine, good company, and I'd be happy to go back one day.

My party and I got the bitoque and it was delicious. Also ordered sangria pitcher and espresso martinis which were great. Service was slow to attend to us. The server for the other set of tables passed us multiple times and never asked if we'd been helped. We had to tell the hostess (after 15 minutes of no one saying a word to us) and she ended up taking care of us the whole time and was great. Newly renovated and it looks beautiful and quaint.

Great food but the lady who took our take our order was absolutely the rudest women i've ever encountered. She put us on hold like 3 times and then when we called and asked if the order was ready she said no and hung up the phone.

Waited 45 minutes for a meal for just myself. There were 3-4 small tables of customers when I went in at 8:30. Didn't get my food until a little after 9:30. I asked for a box and the check and they had the nerve to ask if I wanted dessert when they literally had me busy ask for a box. I tried to eat when I got home and the food was bland and steak was dry.

If you are getting take out expect to wait at the bar with an unfriendly bartender. You will be waiting because I called for lunch at 11 and it was after 12 until my food was ready. You have to basically sit at the bar near the door which in the winter is freezing. The reason I am giving 1 star though is I ordered the steak and soup and I asked for bread and was told its a $1 per piece of bread. I feel when you spend close to $30 on lunch you could get a piece of bread with it. The bartender seemed clueless and rude when asked about the charge for bread and blamed the owner. I am Portuguese and as a culture usually I feel we are giving people well this place is not giving and is greedy. Well, off to Fall River for real great food and service.

The service was subpar. The waitress was extremely rude. She never brought us a highchair after several requests. We also asked for a lemonade and the waitress brought us an apple juice. My daughter is allergic to apples. There negligence could've cost us a trip to the emergency room.
