Galley Grill

We happened upon the Galley Grill when looking for breakfast nearby. The food was fabulous! When we left Key West the following day we even waited to eat breakfast until we got back to Galley Grill. The service was terrific and the ambiance was perfect too. The grilled banana bread is a MUST!!

Blueberry pancakes are stuffed with real blueberries - so good. Tried the sweet potato hash, I like sweet potatoes, pepper, sausage, but it wasn't something I'd order again. Coffee strong and mimosas top notch. Friendly service. Visited January 2026.

This is a nice Florida Keys diner. The food was good and the waitress was nice. I had the Cajun scramble and my wife had a Western Omelette. We dined here on 10/16/25.

Wayyyyyyyy over priced! Portion to price is a rip off... everything in the keys is overpriced because of the tourist destination, but I was surprised here. The food is good, and the service is friendly, but I probably wouldn't willingly go back.

We drove from key largo to have their breakfast, we missed the time by just a few minutes. We decided to stay for lunch and the fresh fish sandwich was delicious. Check them out and see what you think.

Love this place. Really feels like the Keys. Folks are nice. Food is good and plenty of it. Just a great place for breakfast. A huge plus, they have scrapple!

Everything was wonderful. The manager would pass by about every 15 minutes to make sure things were perfect. Service c e was great , good was fast and tasted amazing. We had a crowd of 9 and it still didn't slow them down . Kudos crew , wonderful job.

After a weekend in Key West for a wedding (you know how that goes), we stopped here on our way back home and it saved us. This place delivered exactly what we needed. The highlight was the pancakes for me. They were light, perfectly golden and absolutely delicious. My fiancé had the homemade cornbeef hash and loved it. He's pretty picky about his hash and this one passed the test - A++. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting and the service was fast and friendly. We'll be visiting any time we are back in the area!

Stopped in randomly for breakfast on Easter and was pleasantly surprised! The service was great. our waitress was super attentive and went above and beyond for the kids. She even brought out little Easter eggs and bunnies for them, which was such a sweet touch. The food was delicious. I had the corned beef hash with eggs and grits. everything was cooked perfectly, and the coffee hit the spot. The pancakes were fluffy and so good. My husband got the Cajun breakfast special and said it was the perfect combo of flavor and spice. My kids said the chocolate milk was "super duper delicious" Definitely will be coming back.

My family of five had a great breakfast. Everything was perfect . Waitress was outstanding highly recommend the place. We will be back on August 1 and we'll eat breakfast probably daily there.

This place was delicious! What an awesome lil greasy spoon! My husband had the omlet and I had the choc chip pancakes and they were amazing!! Would definitely come back to try other stuff!!! We loved to sit outside/inside in the open air area the blueberry pomegranate mimosa was also delicious!!

We stopped here on our way out of Key West for breakfast and it was good. I'm gluten free (celiac) and I ordered the veggie eggs Benedict with a side of grits. The portion was big with tons of veggies. Next time I'd probably order something else because there is a ton to choose from! They also have good protocols and she assured me it's all done in a clean part of the griddle. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito and it looked delicious. Would come back again!

Great little breakfast spot in the Summerland key. Had a great classic dinner menu. The crab cake breakfast was delicious. Nice hollandaise sauce not over salted which is always appreciated. they also had a vast gluten-free menu. Having family with Celiac I know how difficult it is for people going out to eat.

While on our vacation in the Florida Keys we while looking for a place to eat breakfast we were told my a local that the Galley Grill was a great choice. We were con the area so we thought to give it a try. After finally finding a place to park we went inside and waited about 20 minutes for a table. Once seated the service seemed fairly quick. I had the brisket and gravy with eggs and my wife had eggs and pancakes. The food, service and prices were great.

Stopped for breakfast. Portions and quality was excellent. Price wasn't bad either. Service was very friendly. Highly recommend!

Love the galley for breakfast (not as much for lunch)... the corned beef hash is amazing. So is the biscuits and gravy. Can't go wrong with a mimosa pared with your brunch.

There's always hidden treasure in the Keys. We stopped at Galley Cafe for breakfast. Not only was the food great but the portions are hardy. The service was warm and friendly just like the general atmosphere down here. It's a small place but the patio is cozy and comfortable and perfect on a cooler day. Also, the price was perfect and well worth the quality and quantity of food

Have been coming here for over 15 years, One of our staples. The food took over 30 minutes ( for eggs) and the place had 2 other tables.. asked the young waitress what the problem was, She started crying, ( really crying) said we were rude.. when I got my eggs ( had to wait for my wifes eggs ) mine were rubber like they were under a heat lamp.. When my wife's eggs came out by the manager she claimed it was only 22 minutes her computer says so so it has to be true( lol) yes, it could have been 22 minutes but if the server forgot to put it in for15 minutes...A couple came in after us ordered to go food was in and out in 15 minutes and treated like they were royalties.. Now I know why the place was empty! Sad! Very Sad!

Great locals place! Best breakfast in town! Waitstaff have been there for years. Prices are good, large portions. Get there early because it gets busy!

Small down home restaurant. Serves breakfast and lunch. Brunch only on Sunday. Staff so friendly and customer oriented. Food delicious and plentiful. My hubby had seafood omelet and home fries. Fries were perfect in texture and flavor. I had huge veggie omelet and grits! Perfection. Coffee was awesome. Will have the brunch tomorrow!

The Tequestafarian wing are the bomb! Service is great and the prices are reasonable.

Great service, yummy breakfast dishes, and a comfortable ambiance where this "old coot" could hear the conversation. Fairly priced, a great time, although it was busy enough that we waited a half hour for our table. But 'no biggie' for patient retired folks!

My favorite breakfast in the lower keys! Love the sweet potato and sausage hash! Service is excellent and love the small town local feel! Always stop here!

Food was yummy and drinks were extra large which I appreciated in the heat. I had the Benedict and my son had the Hobo special. The biscuits and gravy were on point. Service was excellent.

Yes yes and yes!! If you can grab breakfast here you must this Keys stop is a must. The food is delicious and you get the home town cooking that you crave when you're outta town. Defintely stop here, even if there's a wait you gotta wait it out! Trust me!

Great breakfast menu. Food was very good. Very busy, waitress forgot about us had to go to register for check. Wanted to eat outside but was booked up. Inside was loud. We keep going back every time when in the keys.

This is a very, very busy little grill the staff was working extremely hard and it appeared that they were able to get to every table and check and make sure everybody was OK. I sat at the counter and they were working really hard food was very good cooked exactly how I wanted it. This is a very nice place to stop in and have a bite to eat.

Once again, I'm foiled by the lack of 1/2 stars in ratings. This is really a 3.5* restaurant. Yelp hours are wrong. They close at 1pm on weekends. Service is 5*. Eggs Benedict was disappointing. Hollandaise was thin and too runny, and didn't have the proper flavor. Home fries were lacking proper seasoning. My wife had a ham & cheese omelet, which she liked. I found the consistency good, but it needed seasoning.

Food was great...Gazpacho was great...Crab Cakes and Chicken Salad as well! Katy was our server and was amazing! Recommended Cranberry Mango Mimosa!!

Great food at a reasonable price for this area. We were actually headed to Paradise pizza but they were closed so we found the Galley Grill and we're happy to do so! We had Crab Cakes made on-site and a Salad. Crab cakes highly recommended. Forgot to take a photo...

Yet another great find thanks to our friends, who are locals here in the Keys. I love a good breakfast spot, and the Galley Grill, with creative, yet simple and delicious twists on everyone's favorite morning staples, was a WONDERFUL choice!! This seems to be a go-to spot for locals and tourists alike, and I was happy we were able to get a table in their small, cozy, but not cramped dining room. The biggest "con" of my waiting a few weeks to do these reviews (procrastination nation!!) is that I sometimes forget exactly what I ordered, but I do know that our whole table of four had WONDERFUL breakfasts, including steak and eggs, a Greek omelet, shrimp and grits, waffles and more... Wonderful fresh, hot coffee too!! Great service, VERY reasonable prices, and a FINE way to start your day!! Give this place a try if you're in the area!!

Excellent breakfast- nice server. I had the bacon n cheese omelette and my wife has the Greek omelette- both had fresh ingredients and were delicious! The grits were fabulous.

Don't miss for breakfast/lunch. Not a fancy schmancy spot, just good food and service, touristas have discovered this locals place too. Serves some potent coffee/mimosas to jump start your day. Eggs Benedict, French Toast, Avocado Toast, delicious catch of the day, etc. Extremely reasonable prices too.

While vacationing iat Sugarloaf, we wanted to celebrate my wife's birthday with breakfast. Truly lucky to find the Galley Grill! Perfect for breakfast, and includes terrific gravy and biscuits! Highly recommend!Country Breakfast

This place should get 5 stars just for having a large gluten free breakfast menu. However the food was just okay. I enjoyed the gluten free blueberry pancakes that were large and fluffy and had big fresh tasting blueberries inside with a multigrain flavor and I enjoyed the coffee,but everything else we had from the soggy home fries that we requested to be extra crispy to the undercooked eggs on the Eggs Benedict, may be a preference thing, but they were cooked over easy and we're used to a more solid yolk ( probably should have been asked how we wanted them prepared just like any other egg breakfast) was just okay diner food. This is just my opinion about one breakfast, so give it a try if you're looking for a diner with gluten free selections.

I'm always skeptical when ordering crab cakes bc not everyone knows how to make them. The crab cakes here are AMAZING and moist, tasty sauce to go along with it and Just perfection on a platter! The bacon Gouda burger was also spectacular. Super juicy and the meat was made just as requested with a great combination of flavors to boot. The service was also spectacular and the place is also dog friendly. We can't wait to come back!

I love this place. I have celiacs so finding gluten free restaurants are different and finding restaurants with good gluten free food is even harder to find. They have a full gluten free menu as the owner is gluten free and the food is so good. The service was beyond amazing. Thank you for making options for the gluten free.

Hidden Gem! Family Friendly! Blackened Grouper Sandwich was delicious and my son got the fried sandwich and loved it!
