Such a fun hole in the wall coffee spot! I have passed by many times but finally got the opportunity to stop in. Locally owned and such a friendly owner! The staff was great and so insightful. Coffee was great and they had many gluten free and vegan snack and meal options. Can’t wait to return! Ordered the forager and the miso latte.

I decided to give this place a shot because of the vegan options. I got a soy latte with hazelnut; it was great. Haven't tasted the baked goods yet as of this review because I'm saving them for my son who has the egg allergy. The one gal working the front of Cafe was friendly and helpful.

Definitely best coffee shop in town. I randomly stumbled upon while driving around, it’s so nice having an all vegan place where the pastries, food and coffee are delicious and made with love, this place is definitely underrated. Can’t wait to go back

I cannot sing Gallivant Coffee's praises enough! Great drinks and even better savory and sweet pastries—all made without animal products. Such a cute and uplifting café. I particularly love their spinach and feta croissant, mushroom and caramelized hand pie, baked apple tart, maple pecan pop-tart, breakfast empanada, and everything bagel with garden veggie "cream cheese." I'm so happy you all exist! I can't wait to return to Asheville so I can feast on your offerings.

Discovered this rare gem not too long ago and am now a happy regular🩵 Everything is vegan and made in-house including the cream cheese and spreads they use. The lattes are incredibly good and the breakfast bagels are delicious. My go-to’s are the miso mocha and avocado sunrise w/ vegan sausage patty. Have not tried the pastries yet but they look so good too. It’s such a cute and quaint little place, great for working or just chilling. Quiet… good vibes… friendly people 🙏🏻🩵

This is now my favorite coffee shop in the US. Every coffee is made with state of the art technology, making their coffees the best I've had. We tried 5 of their pastries, and each one was delicious.

I love this place! All vegan everything! Great coffee, creative lattes. Limited food menu but the carrot lox bagel was fantastic. Service was a bit slow due to heavy traffic, but that’s the price of being popular. Take your time. It’s worth the wait.

Pretty sure this place was made for me. So lovely, so vegan, so gluten free and radical environment practices that I love. The coffee was excellent, so was the staff and atmosphere and the wildflower shortbread was 100% perfect.

This is a fairly typical cafe, except for the fact that it's vegan. The location is outside of the touristy part of the city, and it's at an odd intersection that made it difficult to figure out where to park (right by the side of the building, but a grass area diagonally across the street is also fair game apparently). On a cool day, I sampled some hot chocolate, which comes with oat milk by default and in their rendition has a bit of savory miso flavor; the result is less chocolate-y than most hot chocolate but an interesting mix. I was a bit disappointed that their breakfast empanadas quickly ran out, but a savory mushroom pie was not a bad consolation prize. There were a few seats to eat at indoors and out, which I barely got one of as I apparently hit rush hour. Over conversations about the cafe employment scene in Asheville, I also pondered their Appalachai concentrate for sale, among other things. I really didn't think a ton about the place being all vegan, but they had some quality stuff.

I love everything about Gallivant! Food, drinks, service, and it's such a cute vibe in there.

Best coffee in Asheville I wasn't expecting it all to be so good. I drink my coffee black and I actually learned I know a lot about coffee. Ie organic free trade dried in shade to prevent mold. High elevation beans are tastier. I have even bought the coffee eaten by small animal then collected in the skat. So the best coffee around. Disclaimer I do not consider fluffy coffee drinks. Just pure coffee.

I stayed in Asheville last weekend with my sister and our friend. We had scoped out the local coffee shops and were planning on trying one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. We hit up Gallivant first and loved it so much that we went back on Sunday. I had the AppalaChai on Saturday and split four (!!) of the pastries - two muffins, a scone, and a handpie - with the group. On Sunday, I had the Paul Simon Song, which I was worried would be too earthy/herby, but it was perfection. I ordered the poptart thinking I'd have half and save half but holy crow this was bigger than my head! My sister and I split it and I had enough leftover for breakfast on Monday. This place is new, tiny, and very cute. The majority (all?) of the offerings are vegan and seem to be mostly locally sourced as well. Just the window is open at the moment but he's working on getting the inside ready. This is not to be missed, Asheville. Make sure he is still in business next time I come by!

Good inside atmosphere. All plant based. Had the chocolate tart, an oatmilk latte, and a chai latte. Nice service

Very cute local coffee shop! Unique options, great costumer service, custom cakes, variety of sweets, and goods you could buy as gifts. Dog friendly.

I absolutely love my Miso Mocha Latte and Alexx loved her Forager coffee with white pine sourced locally. Neat to know the Forager coffee will rotate with what is currently in season. Both made with oat milk and better than a regular latte. Gallivant allows you to try things you would otherwise not have a chance to and a great benefit is if you don't like what you picked out, they will remake something you love. They live their name to Gallivant about and try new things. This is the most unique coffee shop right now in the Asheville area. They are all vegan, lots of gf options and they have a mission of sustainability. Everything you walk out with is compostable. We also got a vegan gf mint chocolate cookie. Was so wonderful meeting Stephen who made our coffees and loved hearing about his amazing wife. They make a brilliant team and wish them all the success with this creative delicious cafe.

Every morning I'm in a coffee shop, working remote, both at home and during my frequent traves. this place is fantastic! weird parking and tiny space threw me off at first. but immediately the vibe, employee kindness, and amazing vegan (and I am not vegan) food made me quickly forget about the parking and limited small space. love it! Highly recommend!

My favorite coffee shop in NC! Gallivant is one of the only local business that I go to on a regular basis. The quality is amazing (they don't use any artificial dyes for one), the seasonal drink flavors they come up with are always unique/delicious, the staple menu is divine (try the forager), they offer a large variety of high quality pastries with varying flavors to satisfy every palate, they are committed to highly sustainable practices, the owners are great people, the staff are personable, welcoming, and great at what they do. Definitely check them out when you can, you will be happy you did!

THIS PLACE IS VEGAN BRO. If you are vegan than you will like it, they did their best to immitate lox with carrots. It was solid, apart from the actual bagel, everything else made us think they weren't vegan - so they did a solid job to replicate a non-vegan bagel shop if that was the goal

Was visiting the area for a wedding and decided to try a new coffee shop each day I was here. This place was so good I came back a second day in a row! My first visit I got the bonfire latte and a homemade brown sugar pop-tart. Both were amazing! My second visit I tried a forager which I believe is their signature drink, it was also delicious! I didn't try any pastries my second visit, but everything they have looks delicious! I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some good coffee and a sweet treat!

I come here after yoga on the weekends. It's an adorable little spot. The dark roast has a nice twang to it and the staff are all very friendly. Lots of yummy pastries and muffins to choose from as well. If you're in the Woodfin area & enjoy a good dark roast, I recommend giving this place a try.

Recommended (and rightly so) by the AirBnB that we had rented for the weekend. Just what you would expect from the Asheville area. A reclaimed property with eclectic decor, indoor and outdoor seating, nestled in the crook of an oddly shaped intersection. Parking was limited (we were there on Labor Day so we were able to park at the next-door Woodfin water offices), but there is another grassy lot across the street. There are a few tables in the smallish dining area where orders are placed. Several (vegan) pastry/sweets options were available as well as a selection of whole bean coffee, mugs, and the requisite apparel. The whole bean coffee is offered as a subscription packed in refillable glass jars for the locals. We picked up a bag of beans as a gift for the dogsitters and an Espresso drink for ourselves. We both had a Smoked Sea Salt & Honey Iced Latte that may very well be the best coffee drink I've ever had. All their syrups are house made, and while the menu was adequate, it wasn't overwhelming like I find in so many coffee shops. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area!

Very nice staff here... genuine and pleasant. my girlfriend and I got scrumptious & beautifully decorated pastries. The smoked sea salt and honey latte is a must-try! We both definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice snack and uplift.

Wonderful little coffee shop with various baked goods and AMAZING COFFEE. They use oat milk as their standard for lattes, cappuccinos, cortados, etc., and even though I'm not typically an oat milk person, they made me arguably the best latte I've ever had in Asheville. Super nice and accommodating staff too!

All vegan, high quality and absolutely delicious. A lot of creative drinks and snacks and they refresh the menu often. I moved to a different part of town last year but still take the occasional excursion over here just for this.

Gallivant Coffee is such a cute spot, I'd go here every morning if I could!! The owner Steven is friendly and genuinely cares about his customers. His wife makes the pastries and they are delicious. They have a variety of coffee and are extremely sustainable. Definitely check it out!
