The 21 Essential Restaurants in Park City, Utah

"Find India’s vibrant flavors and spices at this off-the-beaten-path homage to co-owners Srinivasa Reddy Lakireddy and Sany Kumar’s homeland. Hot and spicy tandoori specialties, steaming mulligatawny soup, goat curries, and lamb samosas fill the menu, along with plenty of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options in between. Fight the heat with a glass of watermelon juice, imported Indian tea, or a mango lassi." - Katie Shapiro

Yelp
Came to Ganesh on a Friday night around 7:30ish and was able to be seated pretty quickly! The food was delicious and the servers were attentive! I ordered the saag paneer which was amazing and the butter chicken. Each dish said it came with rice, which we were excited about, but after we all ordered, only one rice dish was brought out. We all kind of shared and weren't sure if that was rice for one dish, or for all of the dishes. After asking for more rice and checking the receipt, we weren't charged for the rice so I think it was safe to assume that whatever rice they bring out is shared and you can ask for more!

Yelp
I visit Ganesh every time I'm in Park City for more than a day. I like to eat early and they reopen for dinner at 5. It's not crowded at this time. However if you arrive later and it's crowded, this happened last time, the poor server was working alone in the entire restaurant, doing everything in the front of the house. So you really have to work to flag him down because he was running! So just be patient and if you are in a hurry you may need to go somewhere else. Just enjoy your time and food there. The food is excellent in my opinion. I've tried the Butter chicken, chicken curry, chicken korma, lamb saag, various Naans, etc. the saag is especially good! Recommend.

Yelp
We stopped in here after a long day at Deer Valley for a quick bite to eat before heading back to our place. They weren't too busy so service was especially great! We ordered the Paneer Pakora, Pepper Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan. My boyfriend especially loved the Paneer Pakora but the true star of the show was the pepper chicken. I would eat this every week if I could. It was spicy (I ordered medium spice level) but not overwhelming and had amazing spice. I ordered it with a side of rice and ate it as a main dish. I will be thinking of that chicken until I come back to Utah. The garlic naan was flaky and delicious, and the chicken tikka masala was the tasty, standard. The two men working were friendly, amenable and on the ball. We were in a bit of a rush and they brought out our food very quickly!

Yelp
The food was very tasty. I got the vegetable biryani and mango juice. The service was quick and the environment has relaxing music and lights.

Yelp
This is the second time I've been to Ganesh. Last time was last March while I was on a solo ski trip. This time I was with my wife and kid. We had the goat curry and butter chicken. Both came with rice and both were very tasty. We ordered the goat curry medium spicy. My 12-yr old has been working on her spice tolerance and she was able to eat a few bites. My wife and I thought it was great. The naan and samosas were crispy and fresh. We're here for another 4 days so I'm sure we'll go back before going home.

Yelp
Indian cuisine is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, this location cannot be included in a list of places to try. We have tried the food here numerous times as for a while this was the only place in Park City. Now there thankfully is an alternative option. This doesn't need to be a long and winded review, the food has been awful on every occasion. Choose something or somewhere else.

Yelp
Sat us right away, very courteous service. Server told us about the national dish of England which is tikka masala. Lamb curry was good, same for paneer tikka masala and mango lassi. A bit of a quiet ambiance.
google avatar

Zhenyu S.

Yelp
Ordered mixed grill, curry chicken and shrimp. Food is good. They provide good service. will come back for sure.

Yelp
Quite possibly the worst Indian food I have ever had. I am from England and grew up with amazing Indian food and there are some great Indian restaurants in this area, this sadly is not one of them, and I did take out on a night that I needed sustenance. Sadly, what was served in Styrofoam was slops. Also, may I add as takeout? There were no knives and forks and no napkins. The ambience I couldn't really comment on other than as I walked in to pick up my bag of slops, there were two people sat in an empty dark restaurant. This restaurant has the potential to be so much better. It's location is right near the Sheraton. They need to clean up brighten up and cook better.

Yelp
Nice to see an Indian restaurant in PC. Used to be a Thai and Vietnamese fusion over 14 years ago or more, it was called Cafe Trang. The interior is one of the nicer Indian restaurants we have been to. It's all oak paneled walls from ceiling to floor and ceilings are panned out and trimmed in oak as well. The walls are adorned with a small wall piece at the top, keeps the beauty of the oak wood panels. The walls don't need anything on the walls actually, classy on their own. We ordered a butter chicken, dal makhani and Chana masala, all medium spice and no rice and no naan. $53.89. Portions here are good. It's always interesting how much wait staff are in disbelief when we say we don't want any rice or bread with our food. The waitress confirmed that we don't want rice or bread and just wanted the food. We assured her she heard right. The Chana Masala is nicely flavored. However, the chick peas seem to be a bit more al dente than usual. It's okay, but not as I would prefer it to be. The lentil is okay, not my favorite out of all that we ordered. It has some some hard seasoning in it that if you bite into it, it is rather startling and makes you think you chipped your tooth. Butter chicken is quite good. The sauce reminds me of creamy vodka sauce, oddly enough. Can definitely taste the tomato more than usual as well. The medium spice here is perfect for my liking. Service is good as well.

Yelp
Best Indian food I've had in a long time. We stopped over for dinner after skiing over in Deer Valley, location wasn't very busy and service was excellent and very quick. We ordered the coconut chicken korma and my husband got the chicken tikki masala. We also ordered the cheese naan. Everything was delicious, that cheese naan was to die for, we even ordered a second one.
google avatar

Ram S.

Yelp
Tried them recently. Excellent food, tasty and with ample portion size. The paneer naan and aloo paratha were soft and warm. Baingan bharta was nicely spiced. Service was polite and friendly and overall nice ambience. Will definitely return when in Park city again

Yelp
If you would like traditional authentic Indian food this is probably not it for you. First of all the pictures on the menu are deceiving when asked why we were not served that the response was "it's from another restaurant and we don;t have that". Second the green chutney was very watery. The appetizer was mediocre at best. The only saving grace was their Hyderabadi rice. So in general I would avoid.

Anna K.

Yelp
Really great food. This place would be so good for larger groups. They have an extensive yummy menu and nice service

Dale T.

Yelp
Food was very impressive, probably one of the better Indian places in Utah. I enjoyed it quite a bit, not the best I've had but I wouldn't really hesitate to eat here again. Main dish was around $16 with Naan being $5. Wish they gave you more Naan for the price. I got the Chicken Coconut Karma, and my friends got the Chicken Tikka Masala. Everyone loved it. Service was fine, not bad but not outstanding, just ok. However, with foreign places, I tend to trust the food more if the service is just ok. If the service is too good, then the place is probably too American to have good authentic food. TL:DR Great, authentic food for a decent price. Would recommend

Yelp
We ordered everything mild since we had a lot of kids to feed, but even the mild was pretty spicy, and some people in our group were south Asians themselves!! Everything was great just beware the spice levels :)
google avatar

Gloria F.

Yelp
I was hopeful that the only Indian cuisine in park city would be decent. Sadly no. Service was slow, food was watery and not even what I would call an American interpretation of an Indian dish. Add in that pricing is high because of park city. Fortunately if you are local you can go to Mumbai house or little India in salt lake and heber. But this one is on the scale of awful even in the sea of generally mediocre and pricey joints in park city.

Yelp
Very solid Indian food. Not only price is good for meals but also tasty. We had a good evening dinner takeaway.
google avatar

Yelp
Chicken masala, and butter chicken were both fabulous! Comes with rice. Don't forget a side of garlic naan. Everything hot and delicious. Server was so great and really terrific considering Covid protocols. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I have lived in Park City PT for over 10 years & I have never been to Ganesh. Tried tonight & was very pleased. First, the Sambar soup was wonderful. Second, the chicken coconut korma was good as well. Service was attentive. Prices were very reasonable. Good dinner on a cold night.
google avatar

Zac S.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the coconut veggie korma, garlic naan was excellent... High level of customer service, will definitely visit again on our next trip to Park City.

Yelp
Great dinner at Ganesh Another delicious meal at Ganesh with family. The service was friendly and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their entrees including lamb sag, chicken tiki masala, tandoori chicken and an eggplant dish. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options for our family in addition to meat entrees. Love this place. Appreciate the low noise level and ample seating.
google avatar

Annie G.

Yelp
This was the only Indian restaurant we found in Park city so we gave it a try. Food was just ok. They also forgot to bring our second entree but brought it quickly when we reminded them after some time of waiting. They gave us a $5 discount for their mistake which was very nice. The tandoori roti was wayy too oily. The Channa saag was just too runny. The Korma had more gravy than the vegetables. Not the best Indian food we have had but ok if you're craving Indian food in Park City.

Yelp
Been a frequent patron at the Ganesh in Park City since I live down the street and it's always been a good experience. Today was a complete upside down. I did not wait too long to be seated since I asked if I could just seat myself anywhere. I could see that they had a busy night with all the tables that are uncleaned so I didn't mind waiting. It was 08:27 pm Fast forward 30 minutes later, 09:02 pm, they seat a group complete with food menus and even served them water... while I have been sitting patiently for the last 30 minutes. After they seated this group, I asked for a menu and this bloke told me to pay at the counter. I repeated myself in case he didn't hear me, but he proceeds to raise his voice and told me to go to the front to pay. I get the menu after 5 minutes, already decided what I wanted to eat at first glance and set the menu aside. Fast forward 09:06, they take this group's order AND I STILL HAVEN'T BEEN SERVED NOR ASKED FOR MY ORDER. Fast forward about 10 minutes later, I just ordered the food via phone. I still want my food, you know. I love Ganesh. This might just be a one time thing, but that wait was horrible given that they literally seated and served the group that arrived 30 minutes after I seated myself. Update: two groups that arrived 40 minutes after me already received their food and I'm still here waiting for my Lamb Biryani at 09:35 pm. Update: 09:36pm -Food's here, but in a to-go bag! The lady serving me was kind enough to go back to the kitchen and serve it in a plate.

Yelp
Excellent Indian Food and Nice Service. Very expensive. $43 lunch for 1 person. I'm happy that we have a good quality Indian Food restaurant in PC, but they are charging 5th Avenue Prices.
google avatar

Sharon S.

Yelp
I'll keep it simple Customer service was great. Our server was so nice. Flavor was not great. The food looks like legit Indian food from any other Indian restaurant but it was bland, and it's the first time I didn't take leftovers home. I loveeeee Indian food so I really wanted to try this restaurant, and like it.

Vin P.

Yelp
Great spot for takeout! I haven't eaten inside but it looks nice as well. I got the chicken korma which was excellent and had a more complex flavor profile than most other chicken kormas I've eaten. All the naan I tried was solid but the cheese naan was the standout, not to be missed. Another plus is that this is perhaps the cheapest non-fast food restaurant in PC. I got medium spice, which was not that spicy at all, just barely detectable - so don't be afraid to order it hot! Minus one half star for relatively small portions, only one meal's worth where most Indian spots will give you two. Rating it 5 because it's delicious and I don't wana do em dirty with a whole star reduction.

Yelp
UberEats order. Once the food finally arrived (after almost two hours) the quality was so dismal that after Uber refunded me I actually called the restaurant as wellness check - like "are you guys okay over there?" I mean, this was free Indian food, which I generally love, but I'm still disappointed. Dog food. "C'mon, be honest, did your chef quit?"

Colt J.

Yelp
Try the chicken curry; some of the best Indian food i've had. Service was good and prices were very cheap especially for the area.

Christopher S.

Yelp
The food was absolutely incredible. Recommend the garlic naan and the pepper chicken appetizer specifically. Will come back soon

Yelp
DAMN this place is good!! Watch the spice tho...mild is actually more medium. Medium is hot as hell. Hot is YIKES!!

Yelp
As a local Parkite, We recently dined at Ganesh Indian restaurant in Park City, Utah, and I must say it exceeded our expectations. Ganesh Is a gem worth discovering. The chicken Tikka Marsala was rich and flavorful, and the recommended coconut shrimp was a highlight of our meal. Accompanied by a tasty veggie dish and the softest Naan bread, it was a feast we won't soon forget. What made the experience even better was seeing our young girls enjoy the food so much--they've crowned Ganesh their new favorite restaurant in Park City! The prices were reasonable considering the location, though it would be great to see an early dining or locals special. While the service was very pleasant during our visit, I can imagine it could get busier and potentially more challenging especially if you are in a rush.. Nevertheless, if you're looking for a pleasant dining experience and exceptional Indian cuisine, Ganesh is a fantastic choice. We went back tonight for take out! Fantastic.

Yelp
"Well that was delectable" - my dad after we scraped all of our dishes clean a couple nights ago. My family had initially planned to go to Fuego but it had a long wait on a Friday night and thankfully Ganesh was able to take my whole family without a wait. It had a nice calm interior with great, friendly service. The food was delicious--plenty of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. We definitely will be returning soon!

Nausheen K.

Yelp
Tandoori chicken in the mixed grill wasn't cooked completely and raw, had to throw it away. Butter chicken was basically pulled meat in cream.Spent about $200.00 on a very bad meal.

Tofaea A.

Yelp
Excellent and delicious Indian food. Nice atmosphere and great service. We'll definitely come back when in town and we'll 100% recommend!

Yelp
Really sweet family business in a small shopping center. Generous sized dining room with nice linen napkins and booths. The soups are obviously home made and delicious packed full of vegetables, herbs and spices. The mulakatani soup was a bit on the extremely spicy side but I do like heat, so I found it satisfying. The paneer tikka masala with tomatoes came in a beautiful red sauce and was wonderful. Mango lassi was delicious but unfortunately unnecessarily watered down with ice. Service was great.

Cheri S.

Yelp
Great service and super delicious food. We were the last to leave and they graciously sent us home with extra rice for our leftovers. We will be back :)

Yelp
Good many vegetarian choices, average ambiance and good service, do recommend for families,

Yelp
Best Indian I've had in a long time. Good service. Quiet atmosphere. You're missing out if you don't go!

Yelp
A colleague and I had dinner here tonight. I LOVE Indian food, my colleague.... he's not so sure. We were early, so the restaurant was fairly quiet, and we ordered a couple of the veggie pakoras as an appetizer while we looked over the menu. Deciding to play it safe, I ordered the Butter Chicken, and Chicken Saag, a plain and a garlic naan. Both entrees were lightly but nicely spiced, (as requested), yet wonderfully rich in flavors. The naan are especially exquisite, not big doughy flats of bread but a little crisp yet wonderfully textured naan that were perfectly sized for the meal. One each works great. My friend REALLY enjoyed his meal, and already wants to come back before we leave town. Next time we'll spice it up, just a little, but I know I'm also looking forward to revisiting this restaurant. HIGHLY recommended.... EAT HERE!

Mylan D.

Yelp
Everything was too sweet here. I get Utah is just known for having extra sugar in their foods, but this was a bit much. We started with the paneer and it was pretty bland. The sauces provided tasted like spicy ketchup and green jelly. It didn't enhance the paneer at all. I ordered the Chicken Korma and it was really sweet. I tried to balance it out with the rice, but it wasn't working. It's also much more expensive than other Indian restaurants and the flavors weren't there for me. The sweet naan with raisins and nuts also wasn't too tasty. It was a little burnt on one side so it ruined the naan for me. It took a while for it come out so I didn't want to wait for them to redo it. My friend ordered the sweet lassi and unfortunately, he said it tasted like the water on top of the yogurt cup before mixing it. He thought it was the salty lassi. The others ordered the mango lassi and they said it tasted like drinking straight sugar. The Indian coffee was mediocre. Nothing to rave anout The dumbest part of this experience is that the server took our individual orders, read it back to us, and STILL missed 3 buttered naans. We also told him we were splitting the bill. The server gave us our individual bills with the booklet, yet still charged the dinner onto 1 card. Unbelievable. I started with 3 stars and the more I write about my experience, the lower the stars become. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back to dine at Ganesh. There's plenty of other restaurants nearby that's better to check out.

Nyah C.

Yelp
So glad we decided to stop here for dinner on our last day in Park City. Very quiet, comforting atmosphere and great staff/service. The food was amazing and definitely some of the best Indian I've had in a long time. It's a little hard to find, but 100% worth checking out.

Yelp
My friend and I were visiting Park City and were craving some Indian food and stumbled across this "hidden gem". Sometimes you get really lucky when you come across a restaurant off the beaten path of the city center and in this case we sure did. We felt the food was true authentic Indian food. We started off with vegetable samosas, which were delicious! I could have eaten a never ending plate of them! We order chicken tikka masala and butter chicken and shared garlic naan. The food was so delicious and the service was impeccable. If I ever go back to Park City and want some Indian food, this Indian family owned business will absolutely be my go to!
google avatar

K B.

Yelp
We have given it several tries. The Tikka Masala was too much like ketchup or tomato sauce. The Aloo Ghobi was very runny like a thin soup and not enough vegetables. The Lamb Korma was good, but not great. The chicken Korma was bland and the chicken was over cooked. The naan was only okay, Bombay House in Provo has much better naan and food. I hope they get a new cook, and also make food more authentic to Indian cuisine, otherwise we won't be back. Nor our friends. If you've had great Indian Food, or cook it yourself, you will need to skip this place.
google avatar

Lindsay M.

Yelp
Oof. Just not good food. I have never before had celery in saag paneer. Tried about 7 dishes all terrible. Literally stopped eating and threw it out.

Charlotte G.

Yelp
Stopped for lunch and had one of the best meals in PC. Started with mulligatawny soup. So flavorful. We asked for medium spicy and it was perfect. My husband loves butter chicken so I humored him. We shared it and I was satisfied cause again I asked for medium spicy. Then we finished with keema naan . It came at the end but it was hot and delicious and we sopped up all the butter chicken sauce with it. I can't wait to go back!!

Justin H.

Yelp
So good! Excellent service and nice and peaceful atmosphere. The mango lassi was amazing. The coconut lamb was delicious! Will come here again!
google avatar

Spencer S.

Yelp
This place is a little bit off the beaten path and nestled in a between some offices and a hotel. Not terribly busy the night our team of four went in. We got a couple naans, mango lassis, lamb curry and chicken tikka masala. The main courses were quite good but unfortunately the garlic naans were wafer thin and too crispy to really be used as a scoop. The ambiance was nice and dining area clean. Considering there were only two other occupied tables, my only other complaint was how long it took to get water refills and then the check. Would probably come back if in the area
google avatar

Bradford D.

Yelp
My wife and I patronized Ganesh with high expectations, as we've eaten at their Midvale restaurant before. But tonight was a mixed message. Good flavor on our chicken vindaloo, the chicken coconut korma and the saag aloo. But it kind of went downhill from there. The order for the pappadams was forgotten (or as the waiter said he just didn't hear us the first time...see below for reason), so after quickly reminding the waiter that we'd like the pappadams and chutney brought out ASAP (well before the main courses), the dinner literally arrived just a few minutes after this appetizer arrived. That and the butter naan was good tasting but tough as shoe leather. Not a good first impression. So I think this restaurant has a few kinks to work out before it becomes a four or five star restaurant. The waiter and manager offered us a "free dessert" (to make up for the later arrival of the pappadams) but instead we declined and requested that they just take the pappadams (and very watery chutney) off the bill. However, they failed to do that. Oh...and that party of nine from out of state (in there before we sat down) was obnoxiously loud. And with the place bing that small, there was no quiet corner for us to enjoy (literally NO sound absorption in the room at all.) Probably the reason why the waiter didn't pick up on the pappadam order the first time. Three stars.
