This Korean restaurant may be on the smaller side, but it’s definitely worth a visit. The service was friendly and efficient, and the bathroom was impressively clean. The food was absolutely delicious—hot, fresh, and full of flavor. It wasn’t too crowded, and everything came out quickly. I highly recommend this place!

Gangnam – Jacksonville’s Best-Kept Korean Secret 🇰🇷✨ Tucked away like a true hidden gem, Gangnam is a small, mom-and-pop Korean restaurant that delivers big on flavor and hospitality. This cozy hole-in-the-wall spot serves exquisite, authentic Korean dishes that taste like they’ve been passed down for generations. From perfectly marinated BBQ to comforting stews and the freshest house-made banchan, every bite is packed with warmth and soul. You can taste the love in every dish. The service? Exceptional. Warm, attentive, and genuinely kind — the kind of place where you feel like family from the second you walk in. And bonus: there’s a karaoke spot right next door, so after your meal, you can sing your heart out and keep the good vibes going! This place is a true Jacksonville treasure. I’ll definitely be back — and you should go before the secret gets out.

Some of the best Korean food I have had in over a decade. We ordered 4 different dishes and dessert. They provided 9-10 side dishes that we devoured. The rice was soft and fluffy and great on its own. Fast attentive service and loved that they had filtered water.

Google
The food and service here is AMAZING! We ordered the tteokbokki, chicken bulgogi, and grilled mackerel. They’re also very generous with their side dishes. We will definitely be back!!

My tofu soup was great but bowl was small. The ribs were also wonderful.

I recently dined at Gangnam Korean Restaurant, and it was an absolutely phenomenal experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff set the tone for a fantastic meal. The star of the show was the Dol Sot Bibimbap—served sizzling in a hot stone bowl, the rice was perfectly crispy at the edges, and the vibrant medley of fresh vegetables, tender beef, and that rich, spicy gochujang sauce created a harmony of flavors in every bite. The Bulgogi was equally outstanding, with its melt-in-your-mouth marinated beef, grilled to perfection and bursting with sweet-savory goodness. And let’s talk about the Banchan—each small dish was a delightful surprise, from the tangy kimchi to the perfectly seasoned soybean sprouts and pickled radish. Every side was fresh, flavorful, and complemented the main dishes beautifully. The service was attentive, and the presentation of each dish was impeccable. Gangnam Korean Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, high-quality Korean cuisine. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Google
I had the Pork Bulgogi and it was absolutely delicious, I ate it ravenously with rice and 10 different wonderful banchan. Make sure to order a tall Kass to wash everything down!

Google
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the meal. The chicken was excessively dry and possessed an unexpected seafood flavor. Furthermore, a family member experienced an allergic reaction to the aroma, despite assurances of no cross-contamination. Other family members, however, found the meal satisfactory.

Yelp
we are repeat customers and are never disappointed during our visit. The service is attentive and genuine. TFood is delicious and well presented for maximum wow factor when presented. A family run and family friendly restaurant with reasonable pricing. We travel approximately 30 minutes to get here but always worth it. If you in the mood for authentic Korean Food/Experience, we highly recommend this establishment.

Yelp
Delicious authentic Korean food With great customer service. All dishes were fresh and made to order. I felt warm and cozy In the great location located off of beach boulevard in a shopping plaza. This is a hidden gem with great sized portions and wonderful dishes.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! The parking lot is large, but not private. There was no problem getting a space. Inside, it's a cozy little neighborhood space. Service is very friendly. The bibimbap is an absolute explosion of flavor and texture. A truly delightful experience! From the perfectly seasoned vegetables to the savory marinated beef, it's a feast for the senses. Make sure to mix this dish up for the intended effect! What I love most about this place is the sheer abundance of vibrant side dishes. The seafood additions are thoroughly satisfying. The tender, slightly chewy squid and the salty fish cake are absolute must haves. I have to admit, I was completely surprised by how delicious the radishes were! They had a wonderfully crisp and slightly spicy bite that really balanced out the richness of the other components. It's a wonderfully complex and satisfying meal.

Yelp
I should have taken the picture before stirring because the presentation with the fried egg on top looks great. Don't sleep on this hole in the wall Korean restaurant. I lived in Korea and this restaurant definitely takes me back. I had the hot stone rice dish (dolsot bibimbop) and it was amazing. The little variety side dishes that come with it are so fresh and tasty. Y'all run, don't walk to this little hidden gem.

Yelp
I used to frequent Gangnam before COVID, but it's changed quite a bit since then. The portions are noticeably smaller now, and they seem to add more fillers to the dishes. One frustrating change is that they now only seat one table in the restaurant at a time. Even though the place wasn't busy, we had to wait until the previous table finished before we could be seated. With only one staff member working, service was understandably slow, but he was friendly and attentive when replenishing our banchon, which is still the best in town--great variety and very flavorful. I ordered the squid stir fry, which had a lot of rice cakes in it. While still tasty, I would've preferred more zucchini or squid instead of the rice cakes, which felt like filler. I haven't seen other places add rice cakes to squid stir fry, so this was unexpected. My friend ordered the short rib soup, which looked quite good. Prices have increased, but the portions have decreased. The ambiance remains the same, though it felt noticeably darker than I remember, making it a little difficult to see. To top it off, when we requested separate checks, the staff accidentally swapped our orders on the wrong cards. Not sure how that got mixed up, but it was frustrating. Overall, the food still has good flavor (especially the banchon), but the portion changes, slow service, and odd seating policy make it less enjoyable than it used to be.

Yelp
I ordered the seafood pancake and bulgogi through uber eats and they both tasted so bad. The meat tasted off and the pancake tasted like straight flour. Waste of money.

Yelp
Wish I could give this place 10/10!!! My favorite Korean restaurant when I'm in Jax. Food, service, and ambiance (rustic, local family vibes) is all chill. An added plus is that the entire staff welcomes us like regulars... then again we are at this point. Don't be concerned about the location or the windows being covered with posters. Don't even be concerned about the handwritten times or price changes. Trust me everything is delicious, timely, and perfect portions. Again Mandu, galbi, bulgogi, bibimbap, Kimbap, and more are so delicious! Forever my run it back spot.

Anne M.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! The Tteokbokki was very flavorful and also the side dishes were fresh and plentiful. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience warm and welcoming. Easily one of the best Korean spots in town--can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Tried this place out during my visit in Jacksonville and to be honest was pretty disappointed. The banchan tasted old, the servers were not attentive whatsoever and the food was mediocre at best. Not familiar with Jacksonville area but definitely needs improvement to meet 4+ stars in my honest opinion

Yelp
Came back here again with my grandma. Customer service was amazing and everything was delicious!! The banchans were yummy!! Their kimchi is so freaking good too!!!

Yelp
Korean dish is one of my favorites. This is the second time I've been to this place and I can say that I had great experience for both visit. I loved all the food we ordered. My favorite were the seafood and tofu soup, beef bulgogi and spicy chicken bulgogi. I also loved the different banchans they served. Everything was well seasoned. You can order banchans as many as you can. I also loved the location because it's right next to a Korean grocery store in Beach Blvd. The service was quick too even thou we had big group. I will add this place to my list of my favorite Korean Restaurants in Jax and recommend the place to friends and family

Yelp
Loved meeting Ruth and Mervin. The best service and food was fantastic! Well worth the trip from downtown. .

Yelp
The food here is delicious and they definitely put a lot of love into their dishes. Starting off with the negatives first is that their kimbap wasnt wrapped well and everything falls apart once you pick it up. The owner is really kind and sweet but how she came off when we wanted to go containers made us feel unpleasant. We wanted to take our spicy cold noodles back and she said it would not taste good because it would be stale and didnt get a container for us. I flagged her down again for a container for our leftover kimbap and she said "you cant finish it?" and i said no i couldnt. it made us feel bad for asking like their containers were a scarcity. We did not end up packing our noodles since she seemed insistent that we should not take the leftover food home. I loved that the bulgogi came with the purple rice and we didnt have to order a side of rice. the banchan was super good too and our server came by asking if we wanted any refills! My favorite dish was the spicy cold noodles, its not spicy at first but it starts hearing up the more you keep eating it! Wish I was given a container to take it back haha...

Yelp
food and service are both good recommend a lot. Try any of the beef soups their all good.

Yelp
My first time here for a quick lunch on a gorgeous day! The service was quick and the waiter was nice which was great. This is a laid back restaurant with plenty of seating. The food was absolutely delicious and I will definitely be back again!! App, entree and a beer for $35? Yep I'll take it haha Please stop by GangNam Korean Restaurant...you will not be disappointed!!

Yelp
If you love Korean food, but can't stand Korean BBQ places and that silly little pit this is the only place in JAX!!!! The Kimchi Fried rice is FIRE!!! The ladies running the place are sweet and the establishment itself is spotless. Don't be put off by the outside appearance. Diamonds are in coal and pearls in oysters. Go there once and you will be a fan!!!!

Yelp
Great Korean food, fast service and friendly owner!! Ms. Kim was awesome, we will return.

Yelp
The staff was very young so I am not sure if that fact contributed to what I am about to say. We arrived around 8:00, yelp's hours stated it was opened until 10:00. When we walked to the front entrance, the glass windows were painted either yellow or black so you cannot see inside. With the late business hours we thought there would be more people there but we were the only customers. Upon entering, there was no smell of garlic, nor other spices, that would indicate Korean food had been cooked anytime recently. We then ordered water to drink, we were brought what looked like a kids drinking cup, with cartoon characters on it, and two small stainless steel cups, the cups were slightly bigger than shot glasses. The phone rang and the person who answered told the person on the other end that they would close in a few minutes. That was our cue to leave. They said, "oh no, don't leave, we just told them that, but we close a little later. We mentioned Yelp hours stated they closed at 1000, to which they responded, "Oh we haven't changed it yet, we're sorry." We didn't have a good feeling so we left. After talking to some other locals in town, they mentioned they have a dirty kitchen. I am not sure, but before I would eat there (considering it did not smell like a restaurant where Korean food was made) I would ask to see their most recent health inspection report.

Yelp
This is a very wonderful venue! The staff is so polite, attentive, and welcoming. The seating area is very accommodating for some small groups on one side and some tables for two on the other side. Just make sure that you have enough room for all the banchans ( delicious little dishes of yummy side dishes that compliment the meal)! We are guilty of eating almost all of the little dishes before the meal, but we were able to get refills on our most favorites. The kimchi, pickled vegetables, bean sprouts, etc are done masterfully... So much flavor, color, texture, and variety. We ordered beers and soju to enjoy with everything. We are given our own personal pitcher of cold water as soon as we are seated. Our sever was so pleasant and frequently checked on us. We started with a huge kimchi pancake and a savory dipping sauce. It is fun sharing this dish that is crispy on the outside and savory on the inside. We both had soups for our entrees. Korean beef Tripe soup spicy and the spicy shredded beef soup with sweet potato noodles! They are both piping hot in the hot pots! Be careful and don't be greedy or over anxious... it's bubbling!!! Again, masterfully executed! The spices and heat make every ingredient shine! And because we wanted our spice level high, but got what we asked for! I'm sure that it would taste perfect not spicy or more mild, but we LOVE the Korean spicy technique! Ok, so I confused my brain by trying to blow on the spice once my broth was cooled down some... I laughed at myself and mixed up hot due to heat and hot due to spice. But yeah, every spoon full was AMAZING! Since this was our first time here, we tried the cheesy Korean corn dog! It was like a mozzarella cheese stick dipped into yummy "funnel cake" like wrapper! And because we couldn't resist... we ended it all with savory beef galbi ! These little riblets make me think of my Mom!!! They are her favorite!! Needless to say, we were very happy to be full of food cooked with Love ! I look forward to becoming loyal patrons here! A big Thank you to the chefs for the opportunity to enjoy their skills! 감사합니다 (gam-sa-ham-ni-da)

Yelp
This place WOW what a hidden treasure. I am so torn as I want they to succeed but I want to keep them a secret! Obviously a little mom and pop place but cool. It helps to know some Korean dishes because the service obviously speaks Korean and not a ton of English. We made it work though!! The food is hot and flavorful. Wanted to save some for lunch the next day but it is all so good it was demolished on site.

Yelp
WOW! This restaurant is amazing! We ordered to go, but even then the owner and server were very kind and helpful. The food is absolutely amazing. Ordered about 5 different things and every one was better than the other. 10/10 recommend

Yelp
Stopping by Jacksonville, we were craving Korean and stopped by this little restaurant in a plaza. We ordered beef kimbap, beef bulgogi, and the dolsot bibimbap. Everything came out sizzling and fresh. They gave plenty of banchan (sides) including fish cakes, picked radish, potatoes, kimchi, pickled cucumber, etc. and the waitress stopped by to ask if we needed a top off on the banchan, which was great. The service was quick, as there was no one else there. The food was like a nice home cooked meal. Nothing was terribly spicy, although they gave you what I believe was gochujang sauce if you want to make your food spicier. I liked having that control myself. In all, it was a lovely experience and allowed us a space to chill and enjoy a nice meal after driving in all the Jacksonville traffic. The meal was about $68 with tip.

Yelp
Pretty good Korean place in Jacksonville. They gave a lots of banchan like how it's supposed to be. I have tried Kalbi, seafood pancake, black bean noodles, and all the dishes were on-point. And I just moved to Jacksonville from Los Angeles. Only drawback is it was a bit expensive. In 2021 I had a Kalbi and after tax, tips, it already cost $34.

Ly B.

Yelp
The food is really authentic and flavorful. So many different banchan (side dishes) and all so yum. I would recommend the galbi (beef short rib), seafood tofu soup, and scallion pancake. The servers are also sweet and check up on you alot. Also great music in the background.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was wonderful. I had the Sire Fried Intestine. It wasn't gamey at all. The flavor kept me eating. The super market is great too! Wish I found this place a lot earlier.
google avatar

Rick P.

Yelp
Actually friend chose the place. I was along for ride. Ordered the bibimbap which is beef and assorted veggies and rice in a extremely hot stone pot. It was still sizzling from the heat of pot. Really tasty though and using the hot sauce added an extra kick to it Service was good but beer selection they had on menu didn't match what they had on hand. One huge plus. I like kimchi and you can buy 1 pt or more for take home. I tried the kimchi and it was great. I now have a place to go to get my kimchi fix. I'll be back even if to get my pint of kimchi.

Yelp
This place is food for your soul. Tucked into an unassuming strip mall next to a karaoke place and world grocery mart, GangNam will make you feel like you've been transported to the heart of Korea in the best possible way. The food is absolutely first rate and very authentic. The seafood pancake is a must. Banchan is plentiful and a nice variety. The bibimbap fills you up and tastes superb. It comes in the traditional hot stone bowl so the food stays hot really long. Makes it easy to enjoy a nice conversation with your group, large or small and still have nice hot food to enjoy. And my favorite part is when the rice gets all crispy on the bowl at the end!
google avatar

Yelp
Very good food! The Ahjumma was very sweet and kind and would check up on us when she was between cooking! Highly recommend eating here, very authentic and homely.

Jasmine H.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVED this place. It is a true gem. Customer service was very personable felt like we were apart of the family. The restaurant is nice and clean. I was able to try the Soy garlic chicken wings which if I say so myself are the best I have had at any Korean restaurant. We also had the Sweet and Sour Pork Belly which is only made at GangNam. Nobody else has this dish in Jax. If you want phenomenal customer service, delicious chicken and the one and the only Sweet and Sour pork belly please try this place out. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Gishhy A.

Yelp
The food here was fantastic! We tried a few dishes, and our favorite was the spicy pork bulgogi with kimchi. I highly recommend it! Chef Tia did an amazing job. The staff was very kind and welcoming. We'll definitely come back when we're in the area.

Yelp
With work cancelled due to Hurricane Nicole it was definitely a soup day. I haven't eaten at Gangnam in Jacksonville since 2018, and I'll say, it's improved. My staple go-to dish at any Korean joint is always a boiling pot of soondooboo jjigae. Beautifully soft silken tofu in a spicy broth. This variation included seafood. I also ordered a Korean steamed egg which was pretty good. This jjigae hit the spot. And in authentic Korean fashion, they had celebrity photos at the front entrance. UFC's Jung Chan-sung (aka Korean Zombie) ate here, so you must too! Haha. Than banchan (side dishes) were nothing to write home about, but it is 2022 and with the cost of food, I don't blame them for serving cheaper banchan. Overall, it's the best Korean food in Jacksonville.

Yelp
Needed a mood booster. To me it meant Korean soup today. I've been here before and my experience was average but since it changed ownership, I wanted to check it out again. The mom of the store is so adorable and attentive. I came in at an odd time (3pm) so I was the only one there. I could tell the staff was eager to provide excellent service and making sure I was satisfied at all times. They did come to check on me multiple times but I think it was more out of care than hovering because I was there alone. When they weren't, they were cleaning meticulously. One of the waiters made me a cocktail, I believe was Soju Milkis and Peach. She stayed to make sure I liked it. It energized me right up. There was 9 Banchan (My faves were the nuts and anchovies and of course the nappa kimchi) each were good, I thought the cucumber kimchi could use a little more spiciness but still good. Tuna Kimbap was fantastic. I loved it so much I had one to go. The soup is Galbi Tang. It was a flavor bomb and hit my soul It was pimping hot and came in with a decent amount of meat and noodles. There is more to Korean food than KBBQ, they have some options here (I haven't tried under this new management yet) but don't be scared to venture out and try dishes or ask for recommendations. I'll definitely be back (+ the Korean store is right next door)

Yelp
Other than my friends' homes, there's really no place in Jacksonville I will go for more traditional Korean food than GangNam. The spicy squid stir fry is a favorite - just the right amount of spice and well seasoned. Tied in first for my favorite is the seafood pancake -- there's a good amount of seafood and its cooked to perfection. And of course, the banchan. Such a great variety and its always our favorite part of the meal.
google avatar

Gwynn N.

Yelp
GangNam is the most authentic spot I've found so far for some classic Korean dishes. Completely worth the drive to a semi-sketchy area. Another mom and pop shop find here in Jax, so the interior is fairly small. Limited seating available, and there's probably enough room for one large party at a time. It gets packed during peak dinner hours, and for good reason. A variety of banchan is provided, but I felt like I wanted more, unfortunately the waitress was so busy the entire time I didn't get a chance to ask. I've ordered takeout and dined in, and both experiences were quite positive. Tried and loved the regular bibimbap, galbi, and tofu soup. A little pricey, but fair since there's really no competition.

Yelp
My first time here. Fantastic restaurant. This was an Amazing Resteraunt. I will most Definitely be coming back.

Yelp
An unpretentious Mom and Pop Korean place. Shrimp tempura: B+, crispy and satisfying. I would've given this app an A, but they only serve 3 for $10. Omurice: B, I've eaten at ALOT of Korean restaurants across American and I've actually never tried this dish until now. It's the Korean version of fried rice. It looks like a fried rice, but has a flavor profile similar to a Japanese fried rice. Dolsot bibimbap, B+, if there is bibimbap on the menu, I'm ordering it. This one was decent, except there was something missing from the flavor mix that I couldn't pinpoint. Spicy pork bulgogi, A+++, a carnival of wonderf flavors on the palate and not too spicy for the faint of heart. Just order it and encourage your partner to get their own because you won't want to share.

Danny R.

Yelp
I drove to take my family & daughter here for her birthday because she wanted to eat korean food. I went to grab menu so wife could view menu before going in. I went to use bathroom before being seated and lady owner was rude and refuse to allow me to use bathroom. Never have been treated this rude before at any restaurant. Ended up going to Taste of Korea down the street & had much better treatment. Would not recommend anyone going here. Redman MD

Yelp
The owner went above and beyond to accommodate my group of 8 who came in 20 minutes before closing. We flew in from Virginia and came in late without looking at their closing time. The food here was delicious! We had Beef Bigolgi, Galbi, Gimbap, Cold Noodles, Dolsot Bibimbap, Kimchi pancakes, and Mandu. Their kimchi was absolutely delectable! You have to try this place out at least once! I hope we have enough time to go back.

Yelp
'Gangnam' is actually an area of Seoul, the capital of South Korea where modern skyscrapers and trendy bars and nightclubs are located (thus, the Gangnam Style song in my head) and is also known for traditional good eats in the country, as we visited way back in May of 2019. This is our 3rd time at this location, and was glad to hear that it is under new management since November 1st 2020 and they have sure turned things around with the food: We ordered the Mixed Seafood Hot Pot Soup for $12.99 which consists of crab, fish, shrimp, squid (squishy!) in a boiling broth which was very tasty. Next, we asked for Bibimbap - served with beef, various vegetables with the 9 sides, including Kimchi with extra rice and the sunny side-up egg on top. It was quite delicious and the meat was very tender as well, worth the $13.99. For dessert, we ordered the Red Bean Bingsu for $14.99 which has banana, kiwi, strawberries mixed-in shaved ice, wafers with milk and of course, yummy red beans to satisfy the sweetness and large enough for 2 people. We are glad that we gave the restaurant another try as the previous visits over a year ago were not as great and we will definitely come back again to try other dishes, knowing now that it is under new management, that's why we are not surprised that locals from South Korea really come and dine here from what we have heard and seen, as they were very good in serving quality meals for their guests, bringing goodness from the Gangnam Gang ;)

Yelp
Didn't feel like cooking the day we went to GangNam. This is our first time here at this place even though we've heard of this restaurant from friends if we wanted authentic Korean food this would be the place. We came for an early dinner so the place was quiet with only one customer. We got seated right away and ordered an app and three entrees. Bibimbap, kimchi fried rice and spicy bulgogi. Food was hot and good. Served quickly and plenty that we have doggy bags for the next day. Asian shop next to the store that we wanted to visit but it was closed that day.

Yelp
I'm a man of many words, but this place is simply amazing. It's the ultimate Korean food for comfort and authentic food. I'm a Korean-American, and I travel a lot. Right before my flight, I had their kim-pop, spicy rib soup, and steam egg. Kimchi alone was so amazing that I asked for more at least four times. Food truly reminded me of my childhood of what my grandmother used to make. Owner was so kind, and server (Ruth) provided seamless service. I will be back again. Thank you making my day and filling my stomach with yummy food. God bless you. :)

Yelp
I'm bewildered by the positive reviews of this restaurant. It is awful!! We ordered the beef tofu soup, seafood pancake and bibimbap. First, the beef tofu soup was watered down and it tasted like fish sauce and hot sauce with water. The beef were hard and basically it was awful! Couldn't eat it at all! 2) the seafood pancake was not fresh. It seemed like it was just reheated and had to put a lot of soy sauce just to be able to eat it. 3) Bibimbap, rice was old or spoiled and frankly nothing was fresh even they bonchon. Overall, food was nasty and got sick when I got home! Place is filthy and absurd they had the audacity to out to charge for old and spoiled food! Arg I've had plenty of Korean food and this is the worst ever! Do not eat here unless you want to get sick

Yelp
Food was really good. We ordered spicy squid and it was one of the best ones in my life. The place is little small but tastes are big.

Yelp
Today was Mother's Day and restaurants were busy. I was informed there would be a wait for food, no worries. When my meal arrived I was thanked for my patience in waiting. The meal was worth the wait. A piping hot potato pancake with savory dipping sauce. The Bibimbap was perfect, with a nice runny yolk from the egg on top. The blend of flavors from the protein to the rice to the veggies, just a perfect dish. Banchan is one of the best culinary creations ever. A total of 9 sides of pickled delights. I was so full I did not get to finish all in one sitting. Full restaurant and 2 front of house who were awesome. They were working hard at seating, serving, clearing and running orders. And of course the kitchen were sending out waves of amazing looking platters of food, they were great. Next time I will get some soju. I will visit again, often.

Yelp
A late but still good visit to GangNam. Though we got there later than we planned, with only about just over an hour left before they close, we still got good food again. I see they redesigned their menu to a one sheet double-sided laminated menu now. But seems to not have changed much content-wise. Though there are a couple of additions that I spotted: Boba Teas and Korean Fried Chicken. I was hoping to get some of their KFC until I saw the price: $16 for TWO pieces of chicken with Fries. Sorry, but that's ridiculous. I did end up ordering two Boba drinks, but they were out of some of the flavors. My wife and I ordered our old stand-byes: a Bibimbop Dolsot for each of us, and the Spicy Pork Bulgogi to share. Those two we can usually count on to be great. They were. The Service was good, as they asked if we wanted a refill on any of the Bonchon (complimentary sides), and I definitely took them up on more of the potatoes (probably my favorite side). If you know, you know. They only brought one bowl of white rice, which I thought in the past each person got their own. I wasn't too concerned, though since I had the rice in my Bibimbop to use along with the Pork Bulgogi, if I chose. I do recommend them. The Ambiance/Atmosphere is a small little restaurant and has a certain charm about it. While they may not be as good as some places outside of Jacksonville, we have to take what we can get. They don't do KBBQ cooked at the table, though. So if that is what you're expecting, you'll have to go elsewhere. So, overall I'll continue to go back. But please, GangNam, if you're reading this: Come down on the Korean Fried Chicken prices... I typically go to the Bonchon Chain restaurant for that, but they are expense. However, not THIS expensive. I can get 10 wings for $17.95, which is still high, but still a better deal.

Yelp
This is a great little mom and pop restaurant tucked into a tiny strip mall on beach Boulevard near Art Museum Drive. I found the prices to be a couple dollars more expensive than several of the other places in town however I don't mind spending the money to support a small mom-and-pop type restaurant. The service was pretty good, they were quite busy when I was there after work and they kept pumping out the food fairly quickly. The Jap Chae is my favorite and this one did not disappoint. They serve a couple kinds of Korean beer if you are into that and they have fountain sodas for two dollars. The beef bulgogi was just ok. The flavor was pretty good but I found it to be kind of dry and you can see that in the photograph. Love the Kimchi dishes. The service was quick and I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Dolsot bibimbap - was still cooking in the stone pot for minutes after it came out and it was soooo hot and crunchy! Great amount of side dishes as well, and the chefs and waitress were so sweet and accommodating for my friends. Their kimbap is fantastic. A must try for Jacksonville!

Yelp
Good food and good service. The owner gave us some dumplings and kimchi. They were so delicious. We ordered spicy squid. The squid was perfectly cooked, and well blended with bean sprouts and squash. Perfect!!!
