Beautiful restaurant, with an outdoor oasis and a refined interior. We sat outside on a gorgeous stunning Tuesday winter night in miami, atmosphere on point, very friendly staff - we even put in a special request and was met with a friendly smile-
The dim sum is exceptional, handmade with exquisite ingredient with delish flavor profiles but, I’m going to say not worth the price point because serving is meager
Tamarind soup was very good, unique soup flavor, exceptional (but only had 2 pieces of shrimp when considering the price of this dish 🤦🏻♂️ again)
Then came the main dishes, we ordered skip light chicken dish, pad Thai (small pile on the side if a big plate) , crispy ginger chicken and Thai beef salad. Sadly, they all were nothing to write about, they were all ordinary Thai dish you’d expect to eat from any takeout spot. To clarify, they tasted good but surely not what I expected from a caliber of this restaurant and steep price point…. Not to mention very stingy portions.
I would have rated GAO with 3 stars because the steep price point when considering portions served, but the atmosphere and the very happy smiley friendly staff and the stunning atmosphere, I decided to leave a 4
Most probably won’t come eat here again, but I’d come for cocktails on a date night out on their terrace then move on elsewhere for food nearby.
