Gar Anat Hotel Boutique

Amazing hotel in the heart of Granada. Located in a gorgeous historic building, the hotel has charm and style. Our room -- Leon el Africano -- was spacious and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was served in an amazing cellar room. There was a good spread of hot and cold food. And don't miss Mari Carmen's Dulces (cakes), they were delicious! Staff were welcoming and helpful and assisted us with getting tickets to the Alhambra and other sites. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A truly wonderful hotel in a super central location. Living in the province of Granada and having stayed in the city many many times I can honestly say this is the best hotel I have stayed in in the city. So close to everywhere. The attention to detail is second to none. The staff are brilliant and super attentive. Magda went above and beyond contacting me via WhatsApp to help with one or two arrangements and even gave us an upgrade to a wonderful jacuzzi room. The lovely lady at breakfast was fabulous too, making me fresh poached eggs. Lovely. This will be our go to hotel from now on whenever we visit the city. 100% recommend this boutique hotel.

We absolutely LOVE this hotel! Housed in a 16th century building with only 15 rooms, Gar Anat is the epitome of old town Granada. Elizabeth greeted us when we arrived and was a plethora of knowledge about the area. We were in a superior room which comfortably slept all three in our family. The room was a nice size with a larger sized bathroom. Señora Carmen makes an incredible breakfast buffet and the tea service in the afternoon is a nice way to enjoy a siesta before heading out for the evening. If you’re local for a hotel with character, look not further.

I wish I had 100 stars to give this hotel. It was an absolute gem in the middle of Granada. ||Housed in a building from the 16th century, we were welcomed into the hotel by Elizabeth at the front desk. She checked us in and gave us a map of Granada, highlighting the best places for us to visit aside from the Alhambra. She also told us about their breakfast buffet (which was divine) as well as their "Happy Hour," which was hot tea in the library in the late afternoon.||The middle section of the hotel is decorated by local artisans and also features a "wishing tree". It was such a fun common space to be in.||Our room was very spacious with a king-sized bed and a pullout couch for our daughter. All were very comfortable. The bathroom was also a nice size and offered a hot shower.||We had a situation where we blew a fuse in the bathroom. Elizabeth immediately flipped the breaker at the breaker box and then came to our room to flip the breaker in our room. The situation was resolved within five minutes. It was fantastic service!||If you're looking for a phenomenal place to stay in Granada, book your stay here!

Lovely boutique hotel, near central plaza. Large room with plenty of storage.|Good sized very clean bathroom. All staff very accommodating and knowledgeable of local restaurants. They were able to secure Alhambra tickets for us as websites were sold out. Thank you, thank you. Book Alhambra tickets first as sold out months in advance unless you want to pay very high tour guide pricing. The large wood shutters kept light and noise from room. Enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

A truly wonderful hotel. Our room Leon el Africana was huge, 3 windows with balconies and a distant view of the Alhambra from the bathroom window. As you enter the hotel it is like going back in time, very historic and smells amazing. A fountain trickles and relaxing music is in the background. Staff are very friendly and helpful, booked flamenco with dinner and Hammam for us before we arrived. Tea and coffee are available in the beautiful library between 4-10pm. Breakfast buffet is delicious, the lovely lady makes delicious omelettes. Would love to stay again. Can’t recommend enough! Thank you.

We stayed only 2 nights while on holidays from Canada in this beautiful well appointed hotel. We received 1st class service and hospitality. I only wish we stayed longer to enjoy the library and tea room. Breakfast was plenty! Fresh and wide selection to chose from. The staff made excellent recommendations for restaurants and a Flamenco show. Well situated in the city; close to restaurants and shopping downtown. We would love to return.

We spent two very comfortable nights in Gar-Anat. It is located in a very old building that adds to the historical interest of a stay in Granada. It is well-located for accessing the major attractions all of which we managed on foot. We even walked to the hotel from the train station. It is a little quirky but quaintly so. Our room had steps down to the bathroom which are not ideal and might be a real issue for others. That said, the bathroom was very well appointed and spacious, ||The best thing about the hotel from our point of view was the helpful support we received from Julieta when our visit to the Alhambra was cancelled the night before it was due to take place. She calmly sourced an alternative and dealt with my rising concern very patiently! Top class service.

Gar Anat is a funky boutique hotel walking distance to Gran Via and the Cathedral. Service: The staff at this hotel are some of the friendliest I encountered in Spain. They are very customer-service centered and the front desk receptionist took the time to explain to use how to get around Granada, circling places of interest on a map. There is always someone at the front to buzz you into the front door. Room: Each room is decorated differently and is named after Spanish authors or artists. Our room was on the first floor and had a lovely landscape painting on the wall and high ceilings. It was a spacious, clean room and we were very comfortable. Food: We ate breakfast in a hurry because we had tickets for El Alhambra. The breakfast room is downstairs and has one long table. Their breakfast buffet had a nice selection of delicious pastries (we tried some sort of lemon pound cake and a Nutella-filled croissant, yum!), breads, meats and cheeses, fruit and more. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Granada!

The Gar Anat is a great stylish little boutique hotel in Granada that is in a great central location within walking distance to all attractions. They have 24 hour receptionist on hand and they were a great help in directing us to getting our Alhambra tickets printed, finding meals, etc... The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from Plaza Nueva and about 15 minutes uphill walk to Alhambra and 30 minutes up to the Mirardor San Nicolas in the El Albayzín Arab quarters. However, it's not in the heart of the tourist area so you won't be walking outside to crowds of people. The room that we had was a bit small but we got a good deal so I can't complain so bear in mind this is a boutique hotel. We didn't do breakfast which they offer in a dining area downstairs nor were we around for the afternoon tea which they serve with some cookies and biscuit (free to guests).

Lovely little boutique hotel. Fantastic location, very good service and charming decor. Breakfast was delicious and rooms comfy. We will be back!
