At the helm, Marcel Kazda cooks up ambitious cuisine with classical foundations and seasonal influences – the quality of the produce is excellent. The well-thought-out, sophisticated and intensely flavoursome dishes come in the form of two set menus with three to six courses. What a treat to be able to walk to a Michelin star restaurant in Eggenstein. Wonderful atmosphere with outside seating in the garden area . We didn't think we needed reservations but the chef squeezed us in for my wife's birthday. (Very grateful). Relaxed atmosphere, not stuffy and reserved like most 5 star restaurants. The staff of 3 with service worked very well together and didn't miss a thing. Service was perfect. The 4 course meal was amazing. The attention to detail, the flavor combinations and the creativity were incredible.

Six months after our amazing first dinner we returned to eat here: what a disappointment. The main dining room was occupied by some group, so we have been seated in the breakfast room of the hotel, terrible location, atmosphere and lighting (is it fair for a restaurant of this level to deliberately downgrade the user experience in such a way?) But the real fiasco was the food though. We expected in fact the same quality of the first visit. Unfortunately the kitchen was not in its best night and the dishes came out bland and average (the bill remained as expensive as the first time). Hopefully this was just one unlucky night for us. First visit: Amazing food, Michelin star level. Service very friendly and kind, could maybe give some explanation about the dishes. Ambience need a renovation. Overall very positive experience.

Some of the food is really a delicatessen but other ones like pizza are just like the one from the supermarket . Also very expensive.
