Stopped here as part our day in Key West. Really cool place that features a food truck with outdoor seating, an inside bar and an outdoor seating area in the back with a stage where bands can play. Had the burger and it didn’t disappoint. We also had a couple drinks. I recommend a stop at Garbo’s if you are in Key West.

Came for the burgers, stayed for the Korean BBQ tacos! 🔥 Those tacos? Flavor bomb. Total scene-stealer. The burgers? Meh… they showed up but didn’t really bring the energy. Still, the vibe at Hank’s is on point, and I’d gladly come back just to reunite with those tacos. Burger who? Cutest little chicks and chickens too!

We got tacos from the food truck out back. They were good. The wait for the tacos was quite substantial even though there was a lot of seating available. The atmosphere is very unique and funky. E enjoyed the live music.

When in town, I always manage to stop by for one of Garbo’s Umami Burgers. I really like the seasonings that they mix into the burger. I’ve had their Bulgi beef tacos (which were good.) I’ve tried their Yum Yum shrimp tacos (which I didn’t personally care for), and I’ve had their Kayo fish tacos which were ok. I’ve also tried their Kogi Dog which was huge, and tasty. The place is kind of lacking in big ways as a food-truck/restaurant adaptation: it doesn’t offer any side dishes. Like, no French fries, or salads, or anything other than a bag of potato chips is available to accompany anything you order. IMHO, this place could possibly be really good, it’s just not. I will continue to get a burger here from time to time but overall, the place is just average. Nothing special here warranting a rave reviews.

Google
The best lobster roll that I’ve ever had. The lobster meat was very fresh and I loved that the bread roll had a sweet taste. I love sweet and salty mixture. We tried the their tacos too. Everything tasted fresh and perfect. It was so good that we went again next day.

This place is an absolute gem! The food is insane, flavor-packed, fresh, and totally lives up to the hype. We tried the Korean BBQ tacos, the Umami Burger, and the Kogi Dog, every bite was better than the last. You can tell everything is made with care, and the fusion of flavors is next-level. The vibe is laid back Key West cool, tucked behind a bar with plenty of outdoor seating. Super friendly staff and fast service, even during the rush. Garbo’s isn’t just a food truck, it’s a destination. 10/10 recommend grabbing a seat, digging in, and getting messy in the best way possible!

My husband loves Guy Fieri. The atmosphere was strong and the cocktails were solid (not too sweet). The table was a stage 11 sticky, but okay, it’s a dive bar. The Korean beef was good, but the menu says you’re getting a taco with Napa cabbage, scallions, carrots, daikon (misspelled on the menu, but whatever), and cilantro. If you like your meat, this is for you. It was 98% meat. The rest of the menu was very difficult to find in the food. The beef dog was good, it had all the things, as promised. I rarely eat meat and would have preferred some balance but I can’t say it didn’t taste good.

Google
This is a cool spot located an Hanks off the craziness of Duval. The atmosphere is really nice, mots of shade and plenty of seating. I ordered the Lobster Roll which I had high hopes for and was very much disappointed. This is a market price item and I ended up paying $36 for one sandwich. The taste and texture were not there for me. It lacked flavor and the consistency was too “a’la tuna or chicken salad” for my liking. I prefer bigger pieces of lobster. Because of the tiny shredded pieces I think the flavor suffered. I specifically went for the Lobster roll, but other items on nearby tables looked good. I will try them again for other menu items in the future.

Yelp
Every time we visit Key West, this food truck is at the top of our list. Tucked away in a little hidden spot, it's one of those places you might not stumble upon unless you know where to look. They've got tables and chairs set up, so you can sit and enjoy your meal in the shade, which is a blessing in that Florida heat. The setup is simple but perfect--just good food, good vibes, and a place to kick back and take it all in. The Korean BBQ tacos are out of this world, with that rich, savory-sweet bulgogi flavor wrapped in a soft tortilla. Then there are the Cayo fish tacos--fresh, packed with flavor, and seasoned just right. No matter what you order, you can tell they take pride in what they serve. It's the kind of place that keeps you coming back, and for us, it's been four years running. One thing to keep in mind--watch out for the giant roosters roaming around! They strut around like they own the place, which, to be fair, they kind of do. It just adds to the whole Key West experience. Between the amazing food, the laid-back atmosphere, and the local wildlife, this food truck is hands down one of the best spots in town. Can't wait to go back this June!

Yelp
If you are in Key West and are hoping to find a good BBQ restaurant, then stop by here for sure! They are well known for their delicious Korean BBQ Beef Tacos!! We split the order because they give you generous portions. They are incredibly delicious! Garbo's shares their location in the back of Hank's Hair of the Dog. You can use their outdoor dining tables and grab some beer or drinks at Hank's to go with your meal. This really works out great for both owners and their guests. They have lively music for your enjoyment. The service is friendly and attentive. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. You will love the vibe here!

Yelp
I'm glad I checked out this place, it was such a vibe, especially at night. They share a space with Hank's, a bar which does drinks and houses the live performance. We ordered our food at Garbo's by the truck. I got the Mango Dog, as recommended by the worker, and she did not lead us astray. I've always had hot dogs with the usual toppings on top, so it was delightful to enjoy one with different sauces. Our curiosity and not quite full bellies got us ordering the Kogi Dog as well. It was so loaded, I couldn't even locate the hot dog. With amazing evening live music, drinks that come in souvenir cups,. and happy hour specials, Garbo's a must visit for a fun time.

Yelp
A cute food truck connected with a fun dog bar. Great food here with a tropical flair. The burger was juicy and large . The mango dog was a thick hot dog with fresh mango and a smooth mayonnaise based Sauce . Comes with chips but you better like vinegar based ones. You can get drinks at hanks which is on same property .

Yelp
Saw this place on triple D, so had to try it. The burritos were good. Tacos were also decent.
google avatar

Jarrod B.

Yelp
Was in the area on vacation and looked up places featured on Triple D and came across Garbo's. The Cato Fish burrito was LEGIT! So fresh tasting and absolutely delicious! The wait wasn't long at all especially for the amount of people there. Service was also friendly and not rushed. Atmosphere is definitely laid back. I highly recommend hitting this place up. I want to go back for some bulgogi tacos next!

Yelp
Little food truck inside Hank's Hair of the Dog Saloon!! BBQ Korean beef tacos 10/10. Sliders and lobster roll (Maine lobster) weren't bad, but tacos were the star! Very laid back, tables all around, live music, and open late (until midnight). Definitely worth a try!!
google avatar

Sarah R.

Yelp
Such a fun little spot. We were looking for a place to hang out for lunch and it was delicious! Small little trailer that has a limited menu- but what they're cooking up is incredible! I had the burger that was probably one of the best I've had in a while. Fish tacos were also well done. Definitely worth the visit
google avatar

Brad S.

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick bite at lunch. Highly recommend the Yum Yum Shrimp Tacos. Soooooo good!

Yelp
The food was amazing. Nice little spot in key west. Good service and Music Must try this location

Yelp
I recently decided to give Garbo's restaurant a try and called ahead for a pick-up order. My order was ready within 20 minutes. The interaction with the staff was super friendly. As for the food, it was pretty good! I'd especially recommend the shrimp tacos--they were packed with flavor and definitely hit the spot. If you're in the area and craving some tasty seafood, Garbo's is a solid choice.
google avatar

Maibel R.

Yelp
Super cute ambiance. Live music, laid back with a cool food truck. Service was fast. Food was good! Got the lobster roll I wanted on the trip & he got the umami burger. Very generous with lobster serving. Wasn't under or overwhelming with ingredients.
google avatar

Dan V.

Yelp
Stopped here just really quick as part of the Key West Craft Cocktail Crawl. We had the cayo fish tacos and the Korean BBQ tacos. They were exceptional. The BBQ was especially tender and tasty. Will be back for a quick bite.

Yelp
Garbo's Grill offers an interesting dining concept, blending food truck fare with a brick-and-mortar bar setting. We stumbled upon this place after falling down a TikTok foodie review rabbit hole, which piqued our curiosity enough to give it a try. Ambiance & Setup: 3.5/5 The unique setup of Garbo's Grill catches your attention right away. The food is prepared and served from a food truck, while they've partnered with a permanent bar for seating and drinks. This creates an interesting dynamic where you order and pay for your food at the truck, but enjoy table service for drinks. It's an innovative approach, but it can feel a bit disjointed at times. Service: 5/5 Despite the split setup, the service at Garbo's Grill is commendable. The staff, both at the food truck and in the bar area, were attentive and friendly. They seemed well-versed in managing the unique ordering system, which helped smooth out what could have been a confusing experience. Food: 3/5 Unfortunately, the food at Garbo's Grill didn't quite live up to the hype generated by its TikTok fame. The menu offers a variety of options, but the execution falls a bit short. The lobster roll was just okay, nothing particularly special. The tacos fared slightly better, offering more flavor and satisfaction. Each order comes with a bag of chips, which feels like a nice touch but doesn't add much to the overall meal. Value: 2.5/5 The value proposition at Garbo's Grill is where things really fall short. The portion sizes are on the smaller side, especially considering the price point. After finishing your meal, you might find yourself still feeling hungry. Thankfully, the bar partnership means you can fill up on beers, which might help mask the lack of food volume, but isn't ideal if you're looking for a satisfying meal. Overall, Garbo's Grill presents an interesting concept with its food truck and bar partnership, and the service is certainly a highlight. However, the food quality and value for money leave something to be desired. It might be worth a visit if you're in the area and curious about the setup, but don't expect to be blown away by the culinary offerings. If you do go, maybe plan on having a snack afterwards or filling up on those beers!

Yelp
Was going to a show around the block and it was happy hour! Got the taco trio and so good!
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
Happy hour was enjoyable and economical. Got the 3 tacos special for $11. The shrimp and fish tacos were my favorite. I don't prefer a lot of salt and felt the beef tacos were salty, kind of similar to a teriyaki beef jerky flavor.

The B.

Yelp
Wonderful ambiance and good food, but very expensive for a food truck. $34 for a lobster roll and it was mushy. We had that and the spicy tacos and it came to $50. Great overall atmosphere and definitely a to-do place sans the lobster.

E B.

Yelp
Great food! Landon Calrissian was a great choice. Key lime pie was also very good! Very casual ambiance.

Yelp
I found this place through a TikTok. We spent a day in Key West and this was one of the places we decided to eat. I was really disappointed with the food; however, the vibe was very happy and fun. They had live music and offer plenty of seating. We ordered three different meals to try a variety of foods but all three fell short with our expectations. 1. The tacos were extremely salty. 2. The hamburger was just ok. 2. The sandwich was a combination of hot/cold which tasted good but not something I would order again. The bar inside offered plenty of drinks and the ambiance was very southern. You can watch the performance outside from the television inside which is great when it's extremely humid out.

Yelp
Incredible, fast, convenient, inexpensive food. Ordered tofu Karan bbq tacos - delicious! Ordered the mango hot dog as well - loved the spice and the char grill. Excellent food for a late lunch. And very courteous staff. Good was ready in less than 10 minutes. Definitely a worthwhile spot for a good bite. Would strongly recommend!

Yelp
Came here a few years ago and the quality remains the same. Garbos is a food truck with a covered outdoor courtyard with live music. We each ordered their umami burger. The burger was hot and large. The taste was good although it felt like it was missing some sort of flavor. It was a quick bite to eat. Our burgers also came with a bag of chips. Don't forget to ask for condiments when you order, they give out individual packets

William F.

Yelp
Avoid the lobster roll. 34$ and measly tasteless portion. I was surprised because their seafood tacos are generous portions and tasty.
google avatar

Craig W.

Yelp
This is a food truck/trailer that shares space with Hank's, a bar with live music. Kids are welcome here, by the way, but probably can't order whiskey at the bar. Just guessing here. You order at the truck and wait for the buzzer they give you to buzz. Helpful hint: if you see a table, grab it immediately because they fill up quickly. A Hank's server comes around and takes drink orders, if you're interested in booze or non-booze libations. The food is very good. The Umamiburger, which comes with bacon, was delicious. You get two big tacos with each taco order. Unfortunately, you can't mix and match, probably because the prices are different. It's too bad they don't allow you to order single tacos. They could easily do that. The Yum Yum Shrimp tacos were excellent. You get a ton of giant, juicy, shrimp with these tacos. My Korean BBQ tacos were loaded with very flavorful beef short rib. If I had to pick between them, I would say go with the shrimp tacos. Better yet, come with a friend, and each of you order one set of each type of taco so you can share. This place ain't cheap at all but the food quality is very high and everything is very good. The setting is extremely casual and free live music is always a huge plus.

Yelp
Changed up the layout of Garbo's around Hank's Hair of the Dog Saloon and moved the food truck forward! All the same amazing delights for provisions available with the same amazing service! This team is killing food truck service in a BUSY location all year round!!
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
The food was amazing! Had the Korean burrito that burst with flavors. Also, the cayo shrimp salad is a must to try. Ambiance is welcoming with live music . Service not required just browse the menu order and pick up when pager goes off. Folks if in the keys you must make a quick food stop.
google avatar

Freyan P.

Yelp
Stopped by late on a Saturday night because I could not stop thinking about the Korean beef tacos based on other yelp reviews and boyyyy were they amazing. The tacos are absolutely FILLED with the most flavorful, tender bite sized pieces of beef, and the crunchy cabbage and cilantro underneath add just the right amount of freshness. The tortillas were more of an afterthought, but light and thin. Service was friendly, we sat in the courtyard and a server from Hank's (the bar they share space with) came to take our drinks order, which was helpful. Can't wait to go back and try more of the food!
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
The tacos and key lime pie were our favorite in Key West! Order from the food truck and drink at the bar!

Susan L.

Yelp
We came here on recommendation by food walking tour guide. We got the happy hour taco specials. 3 different tacos for $11. 1 fish, 1 Korean beef and 1 shrimp. All were good unfortunately, forgot to take pictures before devouring it.

Yelp
Get the Korean BBQ tacos!!!! The other items were good, fresh, quality ingredients that are well seasoned
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
Guy Fieri was spot on when he tried this food truck and said it was a must eat joint! Located at hanks dog friendly bar, this food truck is turning out the best and freshest fish tacos you can get. We enjoyed the mahi, pineapple slaw and paprika aioli and wanted a million more. This is a popular spot so depending on when you stop by will dictate table availability. They have live music most days to my knowledge and again it's dog friendly so bring your pups! Service is great and given with a smile. This is a must try food truck! The history behind this spot is really rich so I recommend going on the "Key West Historic Seaport Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour" and book with mark! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, welcoming vibe, and the sweetest service! Perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed meal where the staff really makes you feel at home. A must-visit!

Yelp
I'm Asian from Los Angeles so when I saw Korean bbq tacos I was in...but it's not as sweet as I'm use to...so it's just a preference thing. The amount was over flowing. It just wasn't what I was use to over Korean bbq. The shrimp was ok. I have too high of expectations I guess. I was surprised that I was more into the burger and the hotdog. Our late night scene (LA) is known for the bacon wrapped hot dogs after the club. The hot dog quality is fire!!! The umami burger has all kinds of umami. I wish there was tangy kewpie sauce for the shrimp and teriyaki sauce on the side for the Korean bbq.
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
A permanent food truck nestled behind "Hanks Hair of the Dog", awesome name by the way, has a limited menu. However the items on the menu were yummy! We ordered the YUM YUM SHRIMP and CAYO FISH tacos. Get the two tacos for a $1 more. Both tacos were stuffed flavorful ingredients. YUM YUM SHRIMP here large and were seasoned and blackened. Get the two different styles of toppings. CAYO Fish, made with Mahi-Mahi fillets, were meaty and moist. Both 4.5 Stars. Both satisfied our hunger. Will definitely come back to try their other selections. Also, don't inhale the food - you will truly appreciate the flavors of the ingredients. We made that mistake by gulping them down to quick Next time we will their hotdogs and sandwiches Local drinks are served by Hanks - bar. You can order at the Food truck or be waited by a server from Hanks.
google avatar

Kayla B.

Yelp
Boyfriend got shrimp tacos, he liked them. Burger was ok, don't know if I would get it again. Loved that it came with voodoo chips. Not sure if I'd eat here again but I loved the vibe of Hanks! Service was good and food was quick
google avatar

Justine P.

Yelp
Awesome service and live music ! Food truck service but tons of seats to relax at. The serving sizes are huge and you are sure to leave full and happy. The burger was very flavorful and a lot bigger and better than I expected. They also have a happy hour twice a day for food and drinks!
google avatar

J S.

Yelp
Holy mother this place is goooooood Love the atmosphere too The tacos are killer A pretty good happy hour at hanks too
google avatar

Arashinder D.

Yelp
Limited choices but good food. Great hospitality. Would come back for sure. The food is expensive here.

Yelp
My boyfriend's friends and I went to stop by Garbos' after a day of snorkeling. We were really hungry afterwards so it was nice having a hearty meal after a day of fun. I got their Umami burger and it was alright. It was a yummy burger but nothing stood out to me. My boyfriend got the Korean BBQ burrito. He really enjoyed it! My boyfriend's friends got the happy hour deal and they each got three tacos. I would go back to try their happy hour deal! The one thing I recommend from Garbos' is their key lime pie! It's very good. I'm not the biggest fan of key lime pies because most pies have an overwhelming taste of lime and sugar. It has a good balance of lime and sweetness. I'm not sure if there's indoor seating because we sat outside and a majority of the tables are outside. It was very relaxing to sit outside under a canopy. There's also live music further down and an indoor bar. The service was also great! I would definitely go back to enjoy the beachy vibes, happy hour deals, and their key lime pies!
google avatar

Mariah F.

Yelp
We had the Umami burger & Korean BBQ tacos the first night. We loved it so much , we came back the next night at 10 pm to try the Taco trio ! Service is quick & efficient. Good vibes next to Hanks ! There's also live local music !
google avatar

Dennis D.

Yelp
Really simple casual spot for quick food. I had the fish tacos and they were delicious. Service and overall vibe of this place is all laid back and easy.

Saurav S.

Yelp
Fish tacos - they are just ok. No flavors. A lot of crunchy uncooked cabbage. Service was fast - had to wait 10 minutes of a weekday
google avatar

Kristin B.

Yelp
Back again a year later and this time tried the lobster roll - absolutely delicious and fresh, not too heavy on the Mayo (which is perfect) and the roll was soft and light. Came with Zapp's chips (yum!). I also ordered a couple of rum punch cocktails from the bar @ Hank's and not only were they pretty tasty, but the service was also very nice and efficient when we arrived during the lunch hour.

Ana G.

Yelp
This place is cute. It's a food truck but it has outside seating an it's a cute ambiance. We tried the umami burger, it was juicy and full of flavor. We also tried the trio tacos. My husband liked all 3, I only liked the fish and shrimp one. The Korean bbq taco was not my favorite I thought it was a bit salty. I would definitely recommend this place.
google avatar

Raymond O.

Yelp
This is a fun place to eat. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu from what I saw. I had the Umami Burger, which was savory and a good portion. We also shared the tacos and the lobster to which was chilled just right and very fresh tasting for the hot summer day.

Max W.

Yelp
Great Tacos, super fast and fresh. Nice location, close to Duvall and bars nice and close.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Great food, and everything else. Would go there every day if I lived in Key West. Since this review needs 85 characters I am doing filler content. Go for the food. Stay for the live music.
google avatar

Laura W.

Yelp
Find this place and enjoy! Try the bulgogi or the shrimp tacos! Not white tablecloth dining but what you order it will be fresh and delicious. Tip the waitress who will bring you beverages from Hank's. Sorry no picture as we couldn't wait to dive into the deliciousness.
google avatar

Johanna M.

Yelp
Garbo's is a food truck parked in the courtyard of Hank's. My husband and I shared the Korean BBQ tacos. Can I just say Delicious!!! I wish I would of ordered a whole order for myself but I was heading to try Key Lime pie so I didn't want to over eat! They asked if we wanted it spicy or not, smart husband said not. He probably would of liked it spicy but I can't do it. Besides the spicy it had a lot of flavor and meat was very tender. They started to get busy and as we were leaving the ladies inside the truck made it a point to say goodbye . Which was nice.

Bryan R.

Yelp
We ordered the shrimp tacos, the fish tacos and the mango hot dog. Delicious. My order of favorites was: fish, shrimp, mango hot dog. My wife's order of favorites was shrimp tacos, mango hot dog and fish taco. (We split all 3). Bottom line, absolutely would recommend and you can order anything and be very satisfied. Kinda sticky but absolutely worth it.
