Garces Trading Company at Kimmel

The Chicken Salad on Croissant was such a pleasant surprise! Just my luck, I step in line and one of the cooks asked if anyone wanted a chicken salad sandwich another patron had ordered it wasn’t able to take it. I was in a bit of a rush to see my show and thought I’d bite. What a glorious bite it was. The croissant was simply perfect! I could have closed my eyes and swore I was in France. It was buttery, crispy and a little sweet. The chicken salad complimented it nicely without adding the right touch of savory without having too much liquid. The staff was really warm as well. I just feel bad for the patron that missed out.

We've eaten here several times in the past year and most recently on Jan 4, 2024. The earlier times the food was very good, with napkins and cutlery provided by the servers. On Jan 4 the menu had changed for the worse. The food was lukewarm at best and the quality was reduced. For the price this was one of the worst meals I've ever had. We will not return with that menu. The people working there apologized for the poor food options - they didn't change the menu.

In the past this cafe has been fine. Last night it was absolutely terrible. We spent $51.73 for food that was unacceptable. We had tickets for the Orchestra and had to leave or else we would have complained at that time.

Their food (particularly the quiches and breakfast sandwiches) and coffee are both very good. Recently opened and their staff is working through service kinks.
