17£ for this mortar. Sold broken, with the tape clearly there to keep together the two pieces (I did see the tape but thought it was just packaging). I called the shop to explain the issue and see if I could return the item. I was told that it was not broken (?), and they do not give refund for those type of items. The rest of the shop and groceries sold seemed great. Just a bit disappointed for this.

Extremely expensive with poor food quality, the omelette I have to bin it because was sting, the chorizo was below average, the cheese was totally smelly and about the tarts the Santiago 17.50£ was tasteless and almost expired. Never again in this place.

I have ordered online several times, but some items — even though they appeared to be within date — were expired or had gone off. I emailed the company to report this, but my message was completely ignored; I received neither a reply nor a solution. I would advise checking cooked meats and biscuits carefully. If you shop in store, keep a close eye on your receipt, as mistakes can occur and they tend to be in the shop’s favour. Personally, I will not be shopping here again. I feel scammed.

For a supermarket selling mexican products they’re clearly uncomfortable with mexican costumers. I’ve been here twice and in both visits the lady at the till became extremely rude the second she heard our accent after being (kinda) nice to a spanish couple. However, after seeing the comments here it appears it’s a more generalized experience.

Hi all, a warning about R Garcia and Sons shop in Portobello Road. Avoid if you do not want to be taken for a thief and insulted ! Just now I went to get two packs of pasta. When I was standing by the till to pay, a short bolding piece of poo come over and started looking into my shopping bag. I exploded and the till lady apologised. I am 73 and have been buying from then since 1984, but this the last time that they will see me, unless they duly apologise.

This place is great. I’ve been a few times. The product they sell is top quality. Staff always friendly and helpful. Yes. The prices are a little high but still much cheaper than getting on a plane and flying to Spain.

Sadly bought some sliced turkey ham and it wasn’t good when opened and consumed back home.

Best spanish products you can find in London, just some items are too expensive, couldn't get all we were looking for, still great selection of snacks. The hot chocolate is amazing, same with the churros they sell frozen.
