First time here today and I really enjoyed my meal. Both the red and green chile were tasty, had it on eggs and potatoes with beans and a tortilla. The restaurant was mostly empty as I arrived before 11 on a Friday, so service was fast and it was quiet. It did get busy as I was leaving. This is another one of those places that charges for chips and salsa. I still don’t get why they do this. My server was efficient but not all that friendly. Probably not a big deal for most but I prefer places that make me feel welcome.

Excellent Service As Always!!! Served by the friendliest people around. As I always say I know Mr.G would be proud of his children and the workers for carrying on the legacy he left us. Gotta love the Combo Plate!!! The chile Red & Green was on point and the tamale was yummy as always

Stopped by García’s Kitchen and decided to try their stuffed sopapilla with chicharrón—and wow, it did not disappoint! The sopapilla was perfectly golden and fluffy, with just the right amount of crispness on the outside. Inside, the chicharrón was tender, flavorful, and packed with that rich, savory taste that makes New Mexican cuisine so special. The balance of textures was spot on—the crunch of the pork, the softness of the sopapilla, and the slight chewiness made every bite satisfying. And of course, smothered in either red or green chile (or both if you're feeling bold), it’s a dish that just screams comfort food done right. García’s Kitchen keeps it simple but delicious, with that homemade, no-frills authenticity that makes local spots like this a gem. If you’re craving a true taste of New Mexico, this place is a must-visit!

Despite most New Mexican places having bad food and service, I know I can always rely on Garcia's. Been coming here since I was a small gal and those fresh tortillas and red chile are unbeatable. This place has such a home feel as you can taste the love in the food. It was about time I give them their due respect for their reliability.

Ordered family style buffet of the enchilada (half cheese and ground beef) and tortillas for a small family gathering of nine family members. It was a big hit! We ordered the medium size and there was enough leftovers for everyone to take home and even had enough leftover for us (family of 3) two days later. Reheated was just as delicious (with an egg on top😉)! 😋

Honest Reviews We ordered for pickup today. 2 carne adovada red with cheese hand held burritos, 1 bean & beef with cheese burrito and a bean & cheese burrito. We also bought 2 dozen tortillas to take home. We all loved our burritos. I had the carne adovada that was very tender and well downed with red chile and plenty of cheese. I think 1 burrito is plenty if your not starving as the burritos are a good size. There wasn't many people in the morning surprisingly at 930am and the only reason we didn't dine is that the restaurant is usually packed inside. The cashier that helped was very friendly and professional. The burritos came out as arrived wich worked perfectly. Plenty of parking right in front of the entry door so I could pay and leave. The restaurant is located on Central Avenue the old route 66 just a few blocks east of old town. Wich makes it a good option to eat if you're visiting Old Town plaza. In my experience this restaurant location has always offered a good food experience. I would definitely return and suggest this location.

Every food item was delicious. Service was quick for such a busy place. However, the fried fish dinner at a charge of $14.25 was lacking in the amount of fish. A big plate of fries with three small pieces of fish.
