Garden Buffet

This is the most expensive chinese food to go I ever paid. This is ridiculously priced for one box of to go, I was charged $25.00!! Even for buffet, adults pay less than $20/person. My mistake was didn't ask the price before I picked. Please check before dine there or take to go. I felt being ripped off. I posted the photos, you'll be the judge whether that portion worth $25.00. I should be not too decent by leaving the box on the scale and leave.

Overall, we had a good experience at this Chinese buffet. There was a great variety of food, and everything we tried had good flavor. The restaurant was clean, well-stocked, and the staff was friendly. The only downside was that some of the food was on the colder side, which took away a bit from the experience. That said, the selection and taste still made it enjoyable, and I can see this being a great spot when everything is fresh and hot. We’d come back and give it another try!

I wanted to give 5 stars at the beginning but when I caught with my own eyes (while I was standing waiting for my food from hibachi grill) where the person who was the sushi chef tonight, she finished one sushi roll and right before she was put on the serving plate she took one piece of sushi and put it on her mouth quickly and continue using the same gloves and took the rest of sushi in the serving plate. I was a bit surprised when I saw that. I get it if you busy and hungry and didn’t have the chance to eat but come on at least change your gloves before she took the rest of the sushi in the serving plate for your customers. You’re not in your own house and serving your own family. I don’t know what about you and I know if I didn’t see I wouldn’t know but unfortunately I saw it. The only thing I always have when I eat at the buffet is only from the hibachi grill because I create my own plate and they cook in the front of me. All the staff were friendly. The buffet kinda small. I don’t know if they ever offer an oysters like other buffet that I’ve been but today I didn’t see it. They have desserts bar (lots of fruits choices but not much cake options) and ice cream.

The Food was amazing as always but it was the service that was horrible , we were 7 people deep and one of those was an adult which they were not eating. And we got our bill and it was higher than it should have been for only 5 of us to eat so we asked a worker to fix it for us and she was so polite and fixed it. But then it seemed that she had told another worker and that worker was saying something in a different language and pointing at our table and stairing at us until we cleaned up and left. It made us very uncomfortable and felt like we were a problem and did something wrong.

The food is great; the quality of the food is consistently good, and the service is outstanding. Sally; the manager manages the buffet well. This is the only buffet which we are never disappointed.

Food has gotten pretty bad...out of everything, offering getting cheaper, all cheap crap food now...mac n cheese, pizza, worse it has been...was so much better 10 years ago...sad to see it decline so far. Hair in the desert tray... years ago cockroches on the sushi area mid dinner... place is disgusting. Never again.

The rug on the floor is black with dirt. It is gross. If the kitchen looks like the floor in the dining room ugh! I don't want to go there again real soon. It looks like they haven't cleaned the floor in years!!!!! Ugh GROSS 🤮. And the price went up a lot. Not worth what I can eat.

Outrageously high prices! I stopped in to order the lunch specials but walked back out after seeing the prices. $10.95 at Garden b. is not special, I drove to C. Wok and ordered my lunches for $7+ for the same orders, not only that they give you coupons if your order is $25 or more. The difference in foot traffic does tell a story, in one place hardly anyone was coming and going and the other had a scurry of people ordering!

My husband and I were so excited to try this place for the first time and it was unbelievably disappointing. The food was cold and it looked liked leftovers from the previous day. I can't believe that they are okay with serving people this way. This place needs to be shut down! After sharing our experience with management, all she did was take 10% off of our bill even though we barely ate anything. Keep your money in your pocket and find another place that eat.

Food is gross and way overpriced. There are better restaurants around in the area. Staff wasn't that friendly either.

The food's okay, but the prices continue to go up. In fact they won't even honor the prices that they have posted. They don't accept the coupons that they have put out even though they're valid and their prices don't match with their menu says. When you question them about the overcharge on the bill they just point to the board and say look. This is our new prices . When you're asking about the coupons they sell, I know we're not taking those this week even though they're not expired.

Temperature of food was somewhat warm. Not even an enjoyable temperature. Restaurant is not very clean either, take a close look around. Obviously by the photos below you can see that some of the food has mold. Enough said, no apology, discount or refund offered. Ended up calling doctor next day. Had intense stomach gurgling and diarrhea the night I ate this food. Complaint filed through the state

Never had a bad Meal here. Great selection as a part of the Buffet section, but the Sushi and Hibachi features are outstanding! I've only ever done the Hibachi, with Sushi, only because it's done perfectly (for me). To go boxes done by the pound, and you CAN'T get a better deal anywhere!!

Table person asked if she could take cash to cashier, we said yes. She never came back with change. She pocked all of it as her tip without asking. We had to go to cashier and ask for tip. Besides the $4.00 meal increase, the table person assumes the change is her tip. Watch out.

Terrible service. Tried to force tip for a table of 6.... Never been charged this before. Plus tried to tell me what to do with my child!

we have not been here for 6 years and thought we would give it another chance since it's close to home. The food was maybe a 2 star at the price of a 4 star. Our kids maybe ate half a plate of food. They forced a tip into the bill. I would have given atleast $15-20 on a $114 bill but they added a $6 tip so that's what they got. Overall we were just not impressed and will never go back. There was also a fly in the ice cream so the only thing the kids wanted to eat they didn't eat.

My friend and I ate here yesterday. Previous to the pandemic, this was a favorite place for us. Yesterday was our first time back. Precautions were great. We felt secure eating here. Our temperature was taken upon entering. We were given plastic gloves to wear the entire time. A mask was required when we were away from our table. All of the dishes and utensils were disposable. Some food choices are no longer offered. There was a limited number of customers they would allow at a time. We will definitely be back. I wish all businesses were this careful.

I went with some friends to this restaurant and I ended up in the hospital. because, what I ate poisoned me I lost consciousness twice. I was lucky that the blows to the head were not worse. the CT Scan showed that everything was fine.please, be careful this place and in other places make sure the food is fresh because you can lose your life for a bad food.

The staff was amazing there kind they help when we need them there basically everything you would expect from a restaurant and the staff really nice with everyone

Why does anyone eat here? Came here bc my bf insisted we try it. Disgusting. There was a hard red (maybe crab?) shell in my broccoli I ordered off the regular menu. Glad I didn't choke on it. The water tasted like chlorine. I had to use the restroom and the bathroom was not pleasant. Never again! I had a few bites but was scared after the shell that I almost ingested that I might get food poisoning. Also why "garden" buffet? Absolutely nothing that would come from a garden here.

This is one of the better buffets I've been. Honestly, the quality of food is good and they are constantly well replenished. You do get a penalty when you don't finish a good sum of food. Overall, really good place, a must try!

in the last week= We have loved this Chinese Buffet for over 20 years! Sari is super nice and the food is great! They have wonderful choices of sushi and a choose your own ingredients and have it stir fried to your liking. Then they have a regular buffet and, of course, many choices of ice cream. Thanks for being such a great restaurant! :-)

WORST CHINESE FOOD IVE HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Chicken was definitely not chicken. I have no clue what it was. Even the "white meat" was somehow powdery like it was fake. Waste of money. I paid $15 for dinner and none of it was edible.

Stereotypical Asian food buffet. Some veggie options: bok choy, green beans, and broccoli. There's a raw bar with shrimp that looked ok but I'm not sure I'd touch the oysters and clams because there's no telling how long they'd been sitting there, shucked. Highly recommend the Maalox colored and mint flavored mint pudding...just kidding! There are some simple sushi rolls. Perhaps your best bet is the mini hibachi where your dinner is made fresh.

Unsafe practice on food spoke in chinese telling worker to pour leftover food back in the buffet so freaking disgusting. I am just angry that is ever happens in a resturant. The health department should be here about this place. Please for the love of god don't come here to eat. I have never been so mad in my life. We put our trust in the people making the food not to get a big slap to the face eating left over food. So much issues can happen god forbid someone who is really sick eats something and the left over is toss back to be serve again and a kid eats the food. Should never ever happen......

Well, we used to come here often. In a time when the price was cheap and the food was quality, alongside the service. Came in today and got terrible food, and paid over $30 for 2 people. Never ever again. I can go get a more appetizing meal in Quakertown for 2 at $5 more. Ridiculous.

Went there valentine's day weekend and was sooo disappointed. Some of the food items weren't toooo bad, but definitely have had much better. Their hibachi is small and you don't get to choose how the "cook" flavors your food. It's all made the same. Very lackluster chinese buffet. My wife had a bunch of coffee grinds in her coffee which she wouldn't have noticed if not for her putting creamer in it. Absolutely will not return. Would rather go to dorneryville for gourmet buffet.

Standard food choice, was good. Good service. Bathrooms could have been cleaner. Was here at 1pm saturday.

Wow!! tons of variety w corn cobs, honey dew, watermellon, ice cream, bok choi etc etc, service was awesome, guest had 3 soda refills instantly, bused instantly too

Usually pretty good for the money. Definitely worth it if you're getting sushi etc. But if you're a lo-mein and rice person, not worth the money!

I was in the area with a friend and we were hungry for lunch so we stopped in here the service was below normal we were watched almost the whole time, the food was lousy and tasted old, not fresh we were very disappointed and will not go back there and I do not recommend this place

I was really craving Chinese Food, so my friend and I stopped in to hit up the buffet. We were going to get a box, fill it up, and get it weighed. The only problems were that (1) there was no price per pound readily available, and (2) the buffet line-up did not look very appetizing. Instead, she and I looked over the menu and ordered out. The lunch menu was great. They offer a variety of dishes with a side of pork fries rice and either soup or two egg rolls for around $5.50. We ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Steamed Dumplings, and Crab Rangoon. For the two lunch specials and two appetizers, the whole meal was only $20.77. It was a great price considering the amount of leftovers we had (and still have!). My friend enjoyed her Sweet and Sour Chicken, while I found my General Tso's to be just okay. Some pieces had no sauce, others had globs of sauce attached to them. But I really can't complain too much. The dumplings were standard, as well. I was, however, disappointed with the Crab Rangoon. The dough was thin and mushy. I was expecting something like what I've gotten at other places, larger and crispier. This place serves its purpose, but I wouldn't come running back unless I was really craving the food.

I eat here all the time and have been for 4 years . Waitresses are very pleasent and attentive. The owner also very pleasent. The food is always good. The sushi and Hibachi also.very good. Hibachi cook very nice and pleasant. Also great at what he does. The only problem, there is one woman that brings out the food to replenish the buffet is Extremly rude. God forbid you ask her for something that has ran out. You get the worst look and shrug. And dont dare ask her for more crab legs! It seems to irritate her. I dont bother getting crab legs when I go there , not worth the hassle. There is never any in pan. And when and if they bring them out , they bring like maybe 12 peices. Which get gobbled up by the time you make it there from your seat. Other then that the food is excellent and always hot. And the service is always good.

It does not abide with the Ada act laws. Many violations towards me and my very well behaved small "service dog." They Insulted me verbally, along with allowing a customer ( with manager standing next to her at my table) to rant and rage at me and insult me and accuse me of not needing a service dog cause she said I didn't have a disability and several times yelled to the other patrons that I didn't need a service dog. I was in the front corner of restaurant ( seated illegally according to Ada law! I was so frustrated and embarrassed. When this said customer threatened to call authorities, I said go ahead cause I'm not doing anything wrong. Authorities never came, cause I was in the right and said customer got even more mad. This all done very loudly so entire restaurant could here. Management right next to her. My very clean dog was calm and quiet under the table. The customer said it was unsanitary to have him there. So now I go to the one on 309, because I will not go back there and get mistreated again. the one on 309 gives me no problem. And yes I'm reporting this restaurant for what they did. They also told me I wasn't allowed in future to use food bar and had to order off the menu. I said no that's illegal to make me do that.

Garden Buffet is a great place to eat and get take out from. I love the crab rangoons, anyone we've ever gotten food there with has been impressed for the most part. The buffet is kept fresh, and when ordering take out they normally throw in a container of different apps. Staff is always pleasant and courteous.

My wife and I come here occasionally to dine. Food, for the most part, is OK., with the exception of this past weekend. With the exception of the won ton soup, the majority of the hot dishes were cold. Especially meat dishes. When I went to pay my bill, I let the manager on duty know. Rather than apologies to my wife and me, she stood there and argued that the food is not cold. What would have been the right thing to do would be to go back to check for herself that the food was being kept at the right temperature. Nonetheless, we were totally blown away by this woman's reaction. Overall, this manager displayed very poor customer service. The meal was certainly not worth the $28 plus dollars I spent, by a long shot. To be perfectly honest, after this, I am not sure that we will ever come back here again.

I took my family out to dinner last night and my kids wanted to have Chinese buffet because they get to have choices. Unfortunately this particular buffet is the closest to our house. We arrived at the restaurant a few minutes before 8:00 p.m. and we started to go around and get dinner I noticed that most trays were empty or literally almost nothing. We got what we could at the time thinking maybe they were still cooking and will be replenishing soon. As we observed around the staff was already pre closing. Meaning vacuuming sweeping while customers was still around. Then we noticed that the kitchen staff started pulling out trays from the buffet line to replace with clean and empty ones and closing out sections. The second attempt as we walk up to get some more food, not only there was less now sections were closed looking like you were there for left overs. This location closes at 10:30 p.m. So at the peak of late dinner on a Friday , 2 and half hours before closing they decided not to gamble and make more food risking they might be slow and food go to waste. Approximately around 8:40 p.m. more people showed up. So we thought maybe they would be cooking more. Oh wow we're we wrong. I felt worst for the people that just came in because by this time They have closed more sections limiting your buffet experience to maybe 5 sad looking left over looking dishes. Oh yes, everything was still full price. This place has gone worst. Dont get cheated by this place. Take the time and go somewhere else.

This is your classic Chinese food buffet. I have been coming here for lunch for the last five years and they have definitely put money back into the business. Were they have put the money is into the food stations and expanding their offering of items. They have a tendency of making the items in small portions which keeps them hotter and fresher than other buffets I have been to in the past. Good spot for a nice buffet if that is what you are looking for

It wasn't as bad as I thought, food was good, service was nice & pleasant. There is a lot to choose from, bathroom was to my amazement clean but floors on food curt were sticky.

A local favorite of mine, about as good as reasonably priced Asian buffets can get. Very courteous staff that doesn't hover. Although it's usually very busy, it's worth the short wait. Perfect for when you want a lot of food immediately.

One of the better Chinese food buffets I've been to: quality food, great selection (including 8 tubs of Turkey Hill Ice Cream as part of the dessert buffet), notably quick service. Great experience.

I have frequented this restaurant a number of times and have found the food to be average, with the service great and décor to be appealing. However, my visit today will be my last because of the cockroach that ran across my table. Yes, it was a cockroach that I unsuccessfully tried to kill with my napkin - it was tough bugger that looked like the German variety. As I moved my chair back from the table and made quick swipes at the table, the chair and then stomps on the floor, the server came over and assisted while saying "so sorry!" The people working at this restaurant are always pleasant and attentive, and because of that, I am sorry to have to write this review. In my years of working in food service, one roach far from the kitchen typically signals a big problem back where the food is stored and prepared. My old standby of judging a restaurant by the cleanliness of the bathroom did not hold up this time - it is quite clean, and was one of the few reasons why I kept going back to Garden Buffet. If they manage to clean up their act, then you can decide for yourself if you want to risk it.

Food here is always excellent! Nice variety, there are different items every day. Service is always excellent too! Staff is friendly & on the ball. They are fantastic with babies, & toddlers . I have been taking my family here for many years, and we enjoyed the food and experience here each and every time. First and foremost, food at Garden Buffet here has always been fresh, delicious, well prepared and kept warm. Selection is plentiful with a nice variety for patrons of all tastes, ages and stripes. Staff is attentive enough considering the fact it is a buffet joint, and the very reasonable price, and my pocket book does not take a hit for taking the entire family out for lunch or dinner, which is a good thing

I always have a great meal at this restaurant. I love the shrimp and the clams. There is even sushi ! They have it all.

It's my first time here. Compared to other buffet I have been too ,the food is delicious! Very clean environment. I love the rainbow lights in the pocket ceiling. I surely would recommend to friends and family.

It's a large place and there's great variety of selections, kept fresh constantly. The staff is plenty polite. On an occasion, it is most definitely fun to go there and "pig out" for a mere twelve bucks a person. It is NOT healthful for us to miss out on eating all day long, then go there and fill ourselves until we're ready to burst, so we can go home and fall asleep like a boa constrictor snake that has swallowed a goat.

Really good selection of food here. It's always very fresh and has goos flavor. There is a full sushi bar and a hibachi. One late evening I came in and wanted hot and sour soup. Unfortunately, they were out but!! made me more and brought it too me.

Eh...the food was rather bland; which is odd since Chinese food is usually pretty flavorful. I was a bit on the disappointed side.

Love coming here, one of my favorite spots to eat for lunch or dinner. Good selection of food, sushi tastes fresh and the staff are friendly. Good price for a buffet, highly reccomend getting some almond chicken, only downside is that it's most likely packed on weekends as it's a popular choice by locals, best to come before 5pm.

For Chinese buffets of this price range. This is a great place. Food quality is consistent. Selection is good. Lots veggies choices and dessert choices. Fried foods are crispy and sushi selections are reasonable. I never bother with the hibachi grill. I have been eating here for more than 10 years. Price was raised only once.

The food could be hotter sushi bar small small amounts were you can't get what you like. They put out 4 pieces out at a time and if it's gone they don't make more until they have time. Also same cook doing hibachi at the same time and that comes first. Sushi loosely made and when you say something they ask you not to comeback. I try them again but nothing changed

Garden Buffet is is a great place to eat. The servers that we've had are quite nice. Sally, the hostess, is very friendly as is the owner, Lee. The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. They're very good with accomodating special requests. I would recommend this eatery.

Very few vegetarian items on the buffet, though I suppose most Quakertown residents won't care. The price can't be beat, though. And the place was very clean and the staff very nice. Just wish they had more vegetarian items.
