A cozy, Family owned little cafe with the best soups and sandwiches in town! I’ve grew up eating here my whole life. The toasted walnut chicken salad is 10/10! The cuban, club and Ruben sandwiches are a big hit! As well as the shrimp bisque soup and chicken enchilada. There’s many sandwiches and salads the choose from. You can get half of any sandwich with a 12oz bowl of soup as well as a drink for only $10.50! All food is made with high quality meats and ingredients! The atmosphere is very cozy, you’ll feel like you’re eating at grandmas house! Great service and a sweet staff. Regular customers come multiple times a week! If you’re ever traveling through, stop by and try it out!!

Had lunch here for the 1st and it was great. The salad trios are a great menu item and hit the spot for a very good lunch that was both satisfying and filling. Prices were right and food quality was great. Service was good, but they appeared short handed which is a big issue all over these days.

What a great lunch experience my brother and I had at the Garden Cafe! I've been living in Waycross for 9 months now and this is the first time I've eaten here. The food was so good! I had the Toasted Walnut Chicken salad sandwich and the shrimp bisque soup...oh my, so good!! The atmosphere is very nice with the different tables and vintage chairs beautiful hardwood floors. I will definitely be back and next time sit outside in the beautiful patio. Oh and can't forget to mention what a lovely waitress we had!

There aren't enough stars here for Garden Cafe. It's a bright, inviting space that serves delicious home-cooked style food. The Cuban sandwich and the shrimp bisque were fresh and full of flavor. The real reason to come, though, is for the friendly service. It's my first day in Blackshear and the 4 young ladies in the kitchen could not have been nicer or more generous. I left with a list of local recommendations along with a full belly. Thanks, Sarah, for a great meal and a memorable experience.

The staff is very friendly and service is fast. I've enjoyed everything I've ever had there...but my favorites are the Rachel sandwich (turkey, cole slaw, thousand island on rye bread) and the seafood bisque (offered toward the end of the week). This one is a favorite.

I had a business meeting down the street in Blackshear and when I finished by I asked my local customers what the best sandwich shop in Blackshear was and they recommended the Garden Cafe hands down. So I mosey in and right away you can tell it's a locals joint as a handful of people look up from their delicious looking sandwiches and kinda wonder why they've never seen you round this small southern town before... No sweat everyone was very nice! I ordered the garden club which was cheddar, ham, turkey, bacon lettuce and tomato served on a pressed hoagie and it was perfect... The sandwich was juicy and crisp on the outside the lettuce was crunchy and the cheese was mostly melted to the bread, it was just great! I wish I took a picture but I was hungry and wolfed it down before remember my Yelp etiquette... I got out at $9 for the sandwich and the drink and didn't have to wait long to be served. I wish I had room because they had some delicious coconut and blueberry cakes on the counter for dessert. Careful though cause they are only open from 11am to 2pm for lunch and that's it! When I'm back through Blackshear I'll be stopping here for lunch for sure!

Nice atmosphere in old downtown setting. Best sandwich shop in town. Generally service is usually quick even on busy days. The Reuben and Chicken Salad sandwiches are awesome. Shrimp bisque soup is great. Has indoor and outdoor seating.

They have the most delicious Walnut Chicken Salad and such a sweet atmosphere!! Always a pleasant experience!!!

The best. Always a good choice if coming through Blackshear at lunch time. I've had pretty much everything on the menu and nothing disappoints.

Been going here for a while! Always busy during the lunch hours so take that into account if you're on a break. They take pride in providing a great customer service and hot made to order sandwiches and soups. Good pricing and fresh, delicious food to enjoy with family and friends. Definitely recommend if you are just passing through Blackshear or just want to sit and enjoy a good eat in the heart of the South.

Excellent homemade sandwiches, soup, tea, coffee, etc. Service is a mite slow but everyone is friendly and the price is right. :)
