The 12 Best Restaurants & Bars In Woodstock, New York 2024

"In Woodstock, you’ll find the political conspiracy theory hippie, the artisan jewelry-making hippie, and the Garden Cafe hippie, who’s posted up at this spot on Old Forage Road. This place makes really good vegetarian and vegan food, and it feels authentic to the Woodstock spirit without being kitschy. While a lot of the dishes include meat substitutes like tofu or tempeh, there are also vegetable-heavy plates that won’t make you miss meat at all (like the spinach basil pesto pasta and the portobello panini). Go for brunch or dinner, and sit in the outdoor area if it’s nice out." - anne cruz

"We had been planning to go to Garden Cafe in Woodstock, which is actually the place where I realized I could become a vegan. I had been thinking about it, but I wasn’t sure because of eggs. I was like, I’m cutting out cheese but I like eggs. Then I had a tofu scramble there that was so delicious, and that sealed it."

My first time here but my wife was here years ago. We had friends going to the Colony so we had an early dinner at Garden Cafe. It’s located in a great location in the town center. We went about 4:30 on a Friday. It was about half full but we got a table at the front window. The menu options are very varied and creative vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free. We had looked at the standard menu online but we all ordered off of the extensive daily specials menu. I ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower Tacos which came with a side salad, my wife had the vegan lentil loaf with mashed potatoes and sauteed kale. Our friends ordered seared tofu with polenta, which also came with the sauteed kale. Everyone was thrilled with their choices. While each being very different and plated up nicely, no one wished they ordered differently. We were all full and ordered the apple crisp with a scoop of a cashew based vanilla ice cream on top! A great experience and we’ll go back and try something else next time. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu!

So good we had to go back the very next night! It’s rare that I want to give a restaurant more than five stars. The Garden Cafe is the best vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to. It’s also one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in years. What makes it special is a unique blend of flavors that will have your epicurean palate trying to figure out what the chef did to so surprise and delight your taste buds while they bask in an afterglow of yumminess. The first night we had the cauliflower steak with mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy, the Garden Bowl w/seared tofu & pesto sauce with spinach tomato polenta with sautéed greens and a Greek salad. All were perfectly stunningly delicious. The second night we had the cauliflower steak again, the Greek salad again, the garden bowl with seared tempeh and an amazing lasagna. Also cheese cake dessert. We can’t wait to go back again!

Loved it! From the moment we walked in. Lunch on a pleasant garden patio area, food was excellent, staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

Update: I’ve been here many times now and it’s my favorite cafe/restaurant in Woodstock. Lately, I’ve been coming here for lunch after backpacking and was so grateful they let me in with my big backpack and kindly offered some foil for my sandwich to-go considering how I travel 🙏🏻 Every meal I ever tried from their menu has been excellent but their kindness is just precious 🥹❤️ I’m dreaming about their menu as I hike down to Woodstock 😁 till next time! Original review from 3 years ago: Came here for late lunch and absolutely loved it! Tried their miso soup, tea and dessert and couldn’t be happier, thank you for much for having us! Looking forward to being back.

Google
This. Place. Is. Amazing. First of all, Woodstock is such a cute little town. If you’re looking for vegan / plant based food, look no further. It had just hit fall (autumn), and we sat outside in their garden. It was so amazing. We got the peanut tofu satay, the cashew nut Brie cheese, and the salt and pepper tofu with polenta. It seems like they have a rotating menu, but everyone’s dish looked amazing. Go for a walk around the town, get some records from the record store or some hats up the street.

My husband and I have been coming here for years! After long hikes in the Catskill mountains, this place never disappoints. All of the food we have tried is amazing but I’m the biggest fan of the macro meal with tofu! (Also, the special this week included stuffed mushrooms that were amazing.) The brownie and mousse desserts are phenomenal as well! The brownie is a huge serving so consider splitting!

The service is friendly without being fussy. The menu’s size is impressive. We’ve come back several times (traveling over 40 minutes) while staying in the Hudson Valley due to the freshness and the delicious meals. The lasagna with no noodles (layers of vegetables and cashew cheese) was a real favorite. The desserts are wonderful. We eat often at favorite NYC vegan restaurants (Peacefood, Candle, Chloe), and this restaurant in feel and food is as good as they are or better.

The food here was delectable! Our orders came out fast and we were so impressed with how creative the menu is. All the ingredients are deliciously fresh and well executed. Everyone was so kind to us. The staff is extremely helpful and we loved our server. She was fantastic. Thank you so much for the amazing food on our first trip to Woodstock!

Yelp
I'm actually not sure how I haven't reviewed this restaurant yet because even though I'm an hour and a half away from Woodstock it is one of my all time favorites. I am a bit of a creature of habit here and my usual go to is to get a large Caesar salad and add tempeh bacon while my husband gets the pesto pasta and we share. However, sometimes I'll get a special and recently I had a side of their mashed potatoes and onion gravy and it REALLY hit the spot for me. I love their tacos as well as the tofu satay. I also love the TLT sandwich with tempeh bacon and ALWAYS get the Caesar salad as a side with that. I honestly haven't had a Caesar salad as good as theirs since going vegan over 8 years ago. My favorite thing to do is visit nearby Woodstock Farm Sanctuary for a tour and then come get an absolute perfect meal from this all-vegan establishment. Oh! And don't skip dessert! Their cakes are made by a local baker and honestly to die for. We recently had the apple cider cake and it was soooo good I wished we got an extra slice!

Yelp
We stopped here on our way to a hike and we're delightfully surprised. This place is great. We were able to sit outside with our dog. This place looks like it gets busy but we got lucky and we're able to sit right away. The service was quick, friendly and we were brought some complimentary water. There were a lot of specials and a big menu of vegan food. I enjoyed the appetizer and desert better than my meal so if you'd rather try a bunch of different appetizers, go for it. This was the best cheesecake I've ever had and it blows me away that there are no animal products used. I would give them 6 out of 5 stars because the 2go container didn't have any plastic! When businesses say they have to use plastic or meat eaters say vegan food is no good, the garden cafe raises the bar. This is the way. Eating sustainably is delicious and about the same priced. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Great vegan food that's healthy and beautifully plated. Wonderful service. I love that the place smells like fresh juice! Macro platter was delicious. My husband ordered the cauliflower steak special. He loved it. Two oat milk lattes. Food is fresh and scrumptious. We've been coming here for years and the food is always consistently good. It's always busy which tells you something!

Yelp
The food is amazing. Portobello mushroom sandwich rich in flavor. Their wraps are tasty and very flavorful. The best part are the women who make this place happen. Thank you!!!!!!!

Yelp
As long time vegans and frequent visitors to the area, the dog friendly Garden Cafe at Woodstock is my daughter and son-in-law's (and their retired racing greyhound, Sully's), favorite restaurant. When we made a surprise visit on my daughter's 40th birthday, my son-in-law set up a special birthday reservation to celebrate. Fortunately the weather was perfect for dining outside. I highly recommend booking a table in the garden patio, especially if you are bringing your canine family member. We started with wine and appetizers. The appetizers were the highlight of the meal for me. The polenta bites, stuffed mushrooms, and tofu satay were flavorful and the perfect way to start a meal--tasty, well seasoned, but not excessively dense and filling--my taste buds were awakened and ready for more. For my entree I ordered the fried tofu with polenta and seasonal vegetables. I was expecting a more composed dish--instead it was presented like Sunday supper at grandma's house. Tofu on one side, polenta on the other side, some asparagus in the middle, keeping the tofu and polenta in their lane, and a big gob of braised kale on the corner. The tofu and polenta were topped with a garlic creme and avocado mousse, each of which were rather flavorless and hard to distinguish save for the slightly green color of the mousse. Individually, every component was fine, but as a plate, the dish was lacking both cohesion and creativity. All that said, we all enjoyed our meals, some great family time together, and the special birthday cake that the kitchen prepared per our son-in-law's request for dessert. Service was professional. The pacing of the meal was perfect. Restaurants serving well prepared vegan food fill an important niche in the food industry. More creativity and bolder flavors from the kitchen could elevate the Garden Cafe from very good to excellent -- or even better than that.

Yelp
We were seated on Sunday -- and the waitress was friendly, and offered some ideas for juices. I didn't know what to get -- but she took the idea for "red juice" and made it happen. My husband's berry smoothie was very good too. Then, we waited 30-40 mins for our food -- We were about to leave when the food came. The portobello sandwich and my gluten-free cauliflower tacos were fine - but it really just was hard to wait so long. If we knew it was going to take so long, we would have ordered alternatives. Not sure what happened. The food itself was filling.

Yelp
This is a charming lunch spot with a super cute outdoor garden. The interior of the restaurant is equally inviting. We began with an appetizer of brie cheese with blackberry jam and toasted bread. We shared a BLT and pesto fettuccine. The BLT was very good, but the pesto fettuccine lacked flavor and was pretty oily. We finished with the caramel apple bread pudding with ice cream and it was fantastic. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, vegan or not, who wants a fabulous meal with amazing ambience!

Yelp
This place has absolutely incredible food. My favorites were the Roasted Cauliflower, Lentil loaf and tofu satay!

Yelp
Folks were friendly, it was busy with families. The ambiance had more of the small town cafe feeling rather than that of a tourist trap. Food was okay.

Yelp
Awesome vegan restaurant!!! Great, clean, flavorful home style cooking that will satisfy and impress you. I LOVED the lasagna. The tempeh was just ok.

Yelp
Another great experience at Garden Cafe! Around the normal dinner rush on a Saturday night we were seated promptly. Both indoor and outdoor dining are available. Many two seat tables were pushed together or separated as needed to accommodate the crowd of diners. Paper menus and specials written on chalkboard are brought to the table. Many customers were in and out as the counter service provides coffees, teas, and a variety of freshly squeezed juices to go. Despite the busy dining room we received our order quickly. We enjoyed stuffed mushrooms, a wrap, salad, and bread pudding for dessert. Employees were friendly and helpful, checking how we were enjoying our food and keeping the waters full. It was hot and humid and after a hoke and walking around town, the water was much appreciated. Come as you are, dressed up, casual and comfortable, or just off a Catskill mountain trail, all are accepted and welcome!

Yelp
A large group of us made reservations at this tucked away gem of a restaurant. We had a couple of vegans in the group, and I was surprised to learn that the whole menu is vegan. We sat in the outdoor courtyard, which was nicely shaded by beautiful trees. Everything was clean, and there were plenty of tables out there. The ambience was really nice. Good vibes in the courtyard. It was a hot sunny day and everyone is enjoying being outdoors. Very pet friendly, which was nice to see. The service was very attentive. We did not wait extraordinarily long to place our order, and the food was relatively quick. Everything we had was delicious. I had one of the specials, which was a bowl with grains, tofu, vegetables, and a really good sauce. They also have a really good dessert menu. A friend ordered the chocolate brownie, which was fantastic. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant, and I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Ive eaten at garden cafe twice and got the Mediterranean chickpea wrap both times, it was so delicious. Cute little restaurant with a nice outdoor seating area as well. Staff was nice and service was fast! Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Extraordinary! This place is just heavenly from the food, to the staff to the ambiance wowed. I wish we leave close by so we could eat there everyday. Everything so fresh and yummy. I still dream about everything we eat here. Almond Brie is a must try. If you are around the area just go to this place you will not regret.

Yelp
Fabulous food. Clean, healthy and best of all tasty!! The service is always great and I love the aesthetics inside. The restaurant is especially beautifully 'done up' for the holidays.

Yelp
So happy I stumbled upon Garden Cafe! I ordered cold soba noodles with tofu and peanut sauce and my husband ordered an Indian curry enchilada. Both were delicious. We came back the next day for smoothies and they did not disappoint. I would recommend whether you're vegan or not. When we're back in Woodstock we will return.

Yelp
So amazed to find a vegetarian cafe all the way in Woodstock! They have such an extensive menu along with the specials they usually run with. The food is so delicious! Tofu satay and stuffed mushroom made a great appetizer choice. Tofu satay tasted so fresh with the salad on the side. Stuffed mushroom had a delish stuffing, not too cheesy. The cafe decor is so pleasing and cute. The service was great too - people are so welcoming. We are definitely visiting this place during our next Woodstock visit.

Yelp
This little gem was recommended while staying at The Gray Barn of Woodstock Farm Sanctuary. The food and drinks were delicious and the outdoor seating area was gorgeous. The service was also lovely. Will definitely be back the next time we visit the area!

Yelp
Really wanted - and expected - to like this place, based on the reviews, but...didn't. It's a pleasant space - two quirky storefronts that are connected to each other on the inside. It felt light and airy on the day we went as sunshine was streaming in the front windows. The staff is friendly and efficient, quick to explain seating options and take orders. The basic menu has some interesting options, ranging from starters to smoothies to entrees and desserts, supplemented by an almost equal-sized list of daily specials. My husband and I started with miso soup and focaccia. The soup was bland (tasting more like veggie broth than miso) and the focaccia had an odd flavor that didn't work well with the soup. We each then had one of their daily specials - mine was a bowl with ginger teriyaki tofu and veggies, sauteed kale, and brown rice. The tofu concoction was way too sweet, with no taste of ginger, and drowned out any flavor the veggies (zucchini, yellow squash, and orange pepper) could have added. The rice was fine. The kale was well-cooked and flavored, but could have done without the cabbage that was added. My husband had a similar bowl, except with pesto covered tempeh and a side of polenta, rather than rice. It was marginally better than my teriyaki, but still nothing special. One challenge with a lot of vegetarian/vegan restaurants is they give the impression that their virtue lies in not serving animal-based products; the challenge is this alone doesn't do it - you need to make the food taste good. In this day and age, it's relatively easy to get all kinds of delicious veg food, even if not in places that are exclusively veg, so you've got to compete in terms of flavor and presentation, not just the fact it's a veg menu. Work on your spices and how the various ingredients speak to and support each other; make better use of the inherent colors in the veggies so the food looks as appetizing as it tastes. Your dedication to plant-based cooking is admirable - now make it worth eating.

Yelp
We went to Woodstock NY for the day and stumbled upon this hidden gem. I'm not vegan or vegetarian but let me tell you, this place was so good you won't even miss the meat. I was pregnant and had a craving for bacon but we saw this cute cafe and I ordered this enchilada and it was so amazing I dream about having it again. Cute cafe, great spot for vegan food that's full of flavor. Definitely recommend this! Service was great and such a quaint cafe in a quaint town Indian Red Lentil Vegetable Enchilada
google avatar

Will N.

Yelp
Honestly, I'm not a vegetarian, but this place is amazing. The food is delicious, the fresh-squeezed juices are refreshing, and the owner and staff are very welcoming.

Deborah S.

Yelp
Our waitress was the kindest, most helpful I've experienced, ever. And then the food arrived. It was simply the best. My friend is not a vegetarian and he devoured the veggie lasagna and cornbread. The tomato gazpacho that I ordered was perfect. My friend and I were visiting Woodstock and found Garden Cafe so that I might enjoy our lunch. One never knows if a restaurant can make a vegetarian with several food allergies a great meal. We ate outdoors and it was lovely. We can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Kerri W.

Yelp
Had lunch today at the garden cafe. After arriving I needed to use the restroom before ordering and there was a very long line. While that's already not great one of the waitresses pushed me out of the way telling me to clear some space because she needs to get through. I answered that I'm waiting in line for the bathroom for what she responded quite rudely that I should use the public restroom down the street - Great! Push your paying pregnant customer out of your restaurant! Employee of the month right there! We then ordered food and I had the Mediterranean wrap - it was awful. The chickpea wrap with tomatoes and olives literally had half a cherry tomato and half an olive on the entire wrap. The burrito of my hubby was a bit better and my son had the pasta from the kids menu. About 30min after leaving the place we all had a tummy ache...
google avatar

Amira K.

Yelp
We ordered takeout and dined in here all in one week because it's that good! The food is delicious and tastes clean / healthy (in a good way) and the portion sizes are quite large! So we had plenty of leftovers. Not to mention, the vibe in there is really cute and the service is impeccable. Would recommend vegan or not! Here are the dishes we loved: tofu satay, quesadilla, Caesar salad, macro bowl, and the lentil soup with cornbread. But you really can't go wrong!
google avatar

Geoffrey H.

Yelp
What a gem! We went 2 nights in a row, and would have kept going back except we had to leave town. Can't recommend this spot enough!
google avatar

Bri R.

Yelp
Love this spot, the food is amazing. Even my very not vegan dad loved it lol. Vegan food is very rarely seasoned well and cooked just right and also has the most healthy ingredients possible for what you're looking to eat. They're great.
google avatar

Jane L.

Yelp
Our first stop in Woodstock! They have a very cute outdoor seating area for you - great if you want to keep your distance. It was a bit cold when we got out there but I loved that we were offered hand warmers and space blankets. It's such a thoughtful touch. We ordered the hot chocolate and hot apple cider. For lunch, we ordered their roasted portobello sandwich and their Beyond Burger. Everything tasted amazing - even my boyfriend who isn't a vegetarian liked it. Everyone was so nice here, loved their service. It's a perfect spot for veggie lovers!
google avatar

Yelp
Such a delightful (vegan) cafe in Woodstock! It was light and airy inside and nicely decorated. The service was great and the food... so tasty!! They've got lots of creative vegan options on the menu, I especially loved my red lentil and sweet potato burger. It's unfortunate I don't live near this place but would definitely come back if ever in the area again!
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
Super dog friendly and wonderful ambiance, food and waitresses. Thanks for a great lunch!

Cayan B.

Yelp
We ordered take out from this place. Im sorry, but nothing should ever look like this. I thought it was a joke. This was $20. This is what food looks like after you eat it. NOT before. Not to mention the gf "garlic bread" that came with it. Literally just 1 slice of sad looking TOAST cut in half. For the price. Try harder. Work on your presentation. (The only reason It even deserves the 1 star is because the flavor was good, despite how sad it looked and how bad the portion was)

Yelp
My dinner at Garden Cafe on Saturday might have been the highlight of my entire summer in the time of COVID-19! Here's the situation now (but I recommend that you check their website for updates). Seating is first come, first serve and this past Saturday that meant for the patio only. I didn't see anyone sitting inside. Not sure how that will continue once the chilly weather hits us. We arrived around 6:30 and gave in our name. We were told a 20 or so minute wait, and likely waited more like 35 but I am not complaining as it's impossible to really know. I was just grateful to be able to dine here on a busy holiday weekend. Although closing time is noted as 7:30, they were still seating people up until we left, between 8:30 and 9. Again, check to make sure this is the case, as who knows what it's like on a weekday. I don't want anyone being disappointed. This glorious business deserves our business, y'know?! I really don't know what could have been better, incredibly delicious vegan food (this time I strayed from my usual tofu/polenta/greens on the regular menu and went for a sublime tofu Marsala-- wow! Those mashed potatoes are life), a healthy glass of Montepulicano (or two) in that magical setting of well-spaced tables lit up by warm lanterns. Garden Cafe remains my absolute favorite restaurant in Ulster County... nix that, in the entire Hudson Valley!

Yelp
This cafe was amazing....The staff, especially the owner was very warm and welcoming...She was so kind to me and my girls..Very attentive to our needs .. They truly care about their customers and the food they serve . The food was beyond delicious.. I love that it was a Organic and fresh from the farms... If you're in or around Woodstock, you definitely have to stop here and have something to eat... You will not be disappointed..One of the best restaurants I ever been too..

Sheetla G.

Yelp
Yum ! I am not vegan but I definitely enjoyed these yummy treats.. I would definitely try on more items from the menu . I only with their portions were bigger for that price point

Yelp
This place is wonderful. Great people. Great food. My entree was massive. Spicy cauliflower steak with mashed potatoes, mushroom onion gravy and sautéed greens. Wowsers. Vegetable stuffed mushrooms were delicious. Carrot cake was fantastic. I'll definitely be back.

Lee K.

Yelp
Great food, great service. Very comfortable atmosphere. There's a public parking area a two min walk away. $10 all day, if someone is manning the booth. Especially if you want vegan food, but even if you're not vegan, this place is well worth a stop.

Yelp
Wow! I feel so blessed to have been guided to this place tonight. Suggested by a stranger I met in the side of the road What a gift to find quality, whole, natural food. The type of food our body is naturally and easily loves and takes in. From a distance the garden cafe is so warm and inviting, the windows are glowing, so lively. I walked in and the chatter of happy people gathering, and enthusiastic employees, complimented by the simple warm light felt kinda like walking into a home, some sort of dinner party with friends I was greeted with a smile instantly. The food was exactly what id been wanting all day. I got the Macrobiotic meal I highly suggest it if you are looking for something delicious, simple, and easy on the body. Great if you're trying to cleanse or build a healthy condition. Complete and so nourishingly delicious The kukicha tea was so perfect too, a popular macrobiotic tea, such a cool find, it's not commonly served. It helps neutralize acidity within the body and balance blood The miso soup was so perfect! There is a difference between quality miso and cheap miso. Miso is amazing for the body, it's fermented, alive, cleansing, and strengthening (When it is aged, simple, and treated correct) some cheap ones have ingredients like sugar and MSG. I make miso a lot and this tasted quality like the ones I make at home :-) thank you Lea and Garden Cafe for sharing I also want to say, it is best to not boil it once the paste is in because it will kill the live probiotics (if you happen to boil) I talked to Lea the owner, because I wanted to thank her personally for such a beautiful space and health conscious flavorful versatile menu. I could tell from the way she interacted with me and customers her heart was put toward the garden cafe and she seeks to help people through medicinal foods. So much gratitude to individuals like her, very inspiring. You can even check their website and see new recipes and up to date blog posts from Lea and the community. What a gift to this human space this place is genuine, and I sincerely hope other spaces and restaurants follow Garden Cafes lead I also made a new friend who was seated next to me. it really felt like I was at a warm dinner gathering versus a restaurant. And the food came out so quick even thought the place was full! The chocolate mousse was only sweetened with maple syrup and it was so amazingly delicious. I highly suggest you come here. It will only benefit your heart and others :-)

Yelp
It is only after week of eating too much meat that your carnivorous friends would relent and whimper for salad on a road trip pit stop. We looked up "vegetarian" and found Garden Cafe as the best option for lunch. It's completely vegan! Nestled in the middle of Woodstock, this place is unassuming from the outside but flooded with light and sweet, homey touches on the inside. The servers were so kind and attentive, and made sure that we were seated at the prime window table. There are juices galore, and you can customize based on the seasonal ingredients available. Our server was wonderful in her juice ingredient recommendations to my friend who wanted something "healthy and green." The atmosphere was perfect for a moseying, relaxing time. We ordered some appetizers: tofu satay with peanut sauce and orange ginger slaw (delicious!) and a side of house made focaccia (it didn't seem like focaccia at all, but it was fine drenched in olive oil). I ordered the roasted cauliflower tacos, which was an option on the daily specials board. Honestly, I felt it was way under sauced/under spiced, but when I asked for aioli, the kind server brought us a side of chipotle aioli that made the tacos so much better. The salads were overdressed, ironically. The chocolate mousse was passable, too thick. But the warm brownie with vegan ice cream was everyone's favorite. Very good. Overall, I would give the food around 2.5 stars, but the service and atmosphere were so lovely and I didn't want to take that for granted.

Yelp
Just what Woodstock needed...an only-Vegan restaurant! Hubs and I started coming to Woodstock like for the umpteenth time and even then, there was no such thing as Vegan 18 years ago. Plus prior to Garden, there was a pizza joint claiming to make pizza like NYC- don't know how true that was because we never ate there. But on a more positive note, Garden Cafe took over that same pizza spot and made a lovely mark in this town- a jump away from Tinker St. Since my hubs eats Vegetables sporadically, I challenged him on a bet that he would eat a Vegan lunch here- if I would see...... Downton Abbey (don't ask me why because we're not even diehard fans) playing at Upstate Films theater down the road for the 7:30pm show. Happily, that challenge never came to fruition. Garden Café is super cute on the eyes. The space itself is airy and crispy white with distressed wood flooring, lots of Antiquey but posh accents and gorgeous Hydrangeas tucked here and there. For a rainy Monday afternoon, seating was nice. Service was really cool- plus Tatiana and someone else were so friendly. Started with a hot Coconut Milk Matcha Tea while hubs had the Coconut Milk berry smoothie. Chickpea-Olive Bruschetta was good as was my Portobello Panini and hubs enjoyed his "TLT"- Tempeh "Bacon", Lettuce & Tomato Sandwich. I sweeten the deal with their Chocolate Mousse scoops made with Coconut Milk and were super rich. Final bill wast at $60 and change. Worth it for all this Veganness? Damn skippy! I can tell Love is at the heart of Garden Café's seriously brilliant and impressive menu. Compare to what was here before, I also love how Garden Café was able to bring a Vegan wave to Woodstock. Besides....it's only natural!

Yelp
We'd easily give this place 10 stars if we could! A must stop for a delicious yet healthy lunch. Both the lasagna and portobello toast were to die for. Big portions packed with greens. Highly recommend the strawberry rhubarb crumble as well! The portion was huge; we could barely finish it among the two of us. We enjoyed the bright yet cozy and look forward to dining in their gorgeous garden when we're back. The cherry on top: very friendly and fast service! So glad that we stumbled upon this gem.

Yelp
Fully vegan restaurant located in Woodstock, NY! Food **** Was not expecting too much here but the dishes sounded phenomenal on the menu that there was so much good looking stuff to choose from. We got the TLT a tempeh fake bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich. This was amazing, we've had these before but rate this one of the better ones - they also don't skimp on the tempeh! Comes with a salad as well. We also got the lasagna which was by far the star. No noodles just vegetables and came with garlic bread and salad. Very delicious and highly recommend. Atmosphere*** Good atmosphere, quant restaurant also has outdoor seating if you prefer. Good dining experience. Service**** Great and fast service. Specials daily. Bathroom line a little long because only one stall for everyone. Price $$$ This restaurant is on the pricier side for sure. They do give you good portions with a salad included which makes the cost more worth it.

Yelp
It's was ok good for a much higher price but expected for the area. Staff was really nice and sat me by the window since I was on my own. It was a nice view of the square. I felt the fluffy rice was very flavorful and the best part of my dish. The tempeh was too saucy for my liking and honestly I can make much better. The kale and apple salad good but un-impressive. The warm sangria ok as well. Nothing was bad per se but just not a place I'd go eating again when looking for good tasty options

Yelp
This was a perfect spot for a filling, flavorful, and delicious lunch. The service was amazing, and the spot itself was super cute and cozy. I would love to come back and explore the menu some more.
