Garden Fresh Grill is an absolute gem. Every dish I've tried has been bursting with flavor and tastes incredibly fresh. The chicken kabob plate is a must try, the meat is perfectly cooked, moist, and perfectly seasoned, and the rice and fluffy pita bread are phenomenal. I love that they don't skimp on quality, and you can truly taste the effort they put into their food. The smoothies are also fantastic, they are vibrant, healthy, and a perfect complement to the meal. Whether you're dining in or getting takeout, the service is always friendly and efficient. This is my new go to for healthy and delicious Mediterranean food!

A huge menu ! Came here with my buddy and ordered an item from every section of the menu so we can share. We started of with a beef shawarma pizza. It was so yummy. I got the combo plate with beef kabob and chicken tikka. It was delicious. My buddy got the lamb chops plate and told me it was some of the best he has ever had. I took one his chops and it was so flavorful. We shared an order of shawarma fries. Half beef half chicken. My favorite item there. We also got a few sides. Hummus middle, eastern salad, and the burkas. Lots of seating inside and the restaurant was clean which is always a plus ! Can't wait to come back here to taste their smoothies and more food.

Rude workers, all young high school children. Messed up my food not adding what’s included and not informing me they were out either once I got home and opened my food I called back to tell them and what they’d do and they would answer the phone and just stay quiet and ignore me till I hung up happened multiple times after they heard it was me calling back (mind you this was 20$)

This restaurant is SO GOOD! I have had multiple things off this menu and they are all GREAT! My personal favorites are the sandwich wraps! Chicken shawarma and chicken gyro! Staff is always friendly, one time I stopped in and let, I believe he's the manager (he's awesome) pick out my food! He knew what I usually got and went off that, ended up absolutely loving it! They are spot on with food, nicely priced, fast and efficient!

Everybody, it's my birthday month! My friends took me out to celebrate. First time here. I found, in my opinion, the #1 Mediterranean restaurant in San Diego. Oh yeah. Talk about the most fresh, delightfully scrumptious food. #1 All the way!!!! The lentil soup was served hot 🔥 and smooth. The flavors truly had a gentle inviting taste and soared in my taste buds. Oh, Lord. The pita bread must have come right out of the stove oven or something. So so so so soft, hot, and delicious. Talk about the best hummus ever. Wowowowowow. It felt like they had just made the hummus right then and there. I'm not kidding when I say fresh. Fluffy and smooth. My palate was filled like a kid going to a circus with joy.😋 😍 The spinikopita, the stove baked pizza. ARTICHOKE wowowowow. Shwarma fries with chickrn and beef meat. Wow, wow. Wow. That was a crazy mouthful of flavor. The fries are made with larger cut potatoes, so yes. It is a mouthful of flavor. We had some chicken wings that were a delight. Whatever spices they use, my joy was to savor each bite. It was truly an experience. The joy of their almond and pistachio baklava oh my. So good. It was a smaller piece, but having the light, flaky, sweet flavor was better than a birthday cake! I was so full I couldn't even eat my beautifully prepared gyros. Their homemade sauces. Like the garlic sauce and Tsizziki (however u spell it) was beyond delicious 😋. I wish I could buy a jar of it and dip everything I eat at home into it. I'm lost in the flavor of amazing food. We came at the right time before the huge crowd. The place is clean and very tidy. We had this beautiful young lady named Deema who actually served us and took time to share the variety on the menu choices. Normally, u go to the counter. She came to our table and served us. Her and another gal. So that is called real service. And both got a wonderful tip. They have teas and delicious flavorful types of Boba flavors here or juice. It's really a blend of something anybody can enjoy that is universal and not just Mediterranean. They use frozen fruits for their smoothies. I hope you come and support this amazing place. It's not enough to read about it.

The Mediterranean food here is excellent and all the dishes I've tried are fresh, well made and flavorful. My favorite dish so far is the chicken kabob plate. The grilled chicken is tender and savory. I also love the lentil soup they serve when you dine in.

The lentil soup is to die for! And they give you a complimentary cup for most of not all entrees. My buddy and I were sharing an entree and the waiter gave us two cups. So nice! I'm also INCREDIBLY impressed with their salad selection. I had the lamb shank entree (17.99) pictured last time I came, and I was able to substitute the soup for an avocado salad. It was delicious. I've also had their Baba ganoush twice now, something I've never tried before. It kinda looks like hummus but is made with eggplant. Being the eggplant fiend I am, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Also pictured is the chicken kabob combos For only 12 bucks it will leave you happy and full. Only complaint is though, is that my very first time here, the inside of the lamb shank wasn't hot. They clearly have a bunch of them frozen in the back. Despite that, the flavor was still good, but hey, gotta be honest in these reviews. Would still recommend this place! Btw my roommate love the smoothies here and he's a smoothie fiend. Is worth a try as well :).

I absolutely love this spot! Their hummus is so good—you can tell it’s homemade. I also love the vegetarian combo plate. Excellent & delicious food as well as good prices, definitely try it out if you’ve never been here before!

This was my first time trying this place and I'm happy I did. I ordered a Hawaiian dream smoothie. Yum The man that took my order remained patient with me as I ordered and even brought me my smoothie as opposed to just yelling or leaving it at the counter. It was clean and pretty quiet when I arrived with a few customers eating inside. My 12 ounce smoothie was $7.42 I wish I lived closer to this location but I'll gladly return if I'm in the area for a nice smoothie or lunch break.

My partner suggested this spot so we tried it for dinner and it was so so good!! Definitely going into one of favorites, near college area this spot can be found in the same shopping area as Vons and Yogurtland which I have frequented before The inside is very spacious and clean and the cashier was super friendly, we ordered up front then sat down and the food would be brought out. Since we ate there we received lentil soup to start and it was super yummy and a great way to start our meal, the chicken shawarma plate was so flavorful and the portion was super filling, was dreaming about that garlic sauce when we were done!

Garden Fresh Grill has been my College area go-to for Mediterranean food for a decade! The restaurant is always clean and the service is exceptional. They offer a $10.99 rice bowl combo that comes with your choice of protein (gryo, chicken, beef), yellow rice, and an appetizer (salad or hummus). This meal totally filled me up and was very tasty! Overall, the service was awesome, the food was delicious, and the value was great! If you dine in, you get the best lentil soup, and they also offer Thai tea for $1.99 as well as student discounts. Support local and check this place out next time you're craving Mediterranean.

The place is super clean, the service is great (kind people), and the food is beyond fresh and delicious! Love their value on the sandwich deal. The flatbread is so tasty! Oh and the salads... I had a hard time picking but ultimately went for the beet salad. I know I'll be craving this! Will definitely be coming back!

The service wasn't great and it's really expensive for what it is. My açaí bowl okay. Nothing special honestly. And the avocado salad, the avocado was NOT ripe AT ALL it was so hard. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here again.

My husband and I love the food!!! The Servers are always attentive. Ambiance is open seating. You order at the counter and then everything is delivered to your table! My husband LOVES the Lamb shank. I'm more of a beef or chicken kabobs person. The hummus is amazing and they must have quite a following as they fulfill a lot of "to go" / order delivery. Don't forget to get a baklava for dessert. Pricing is extremely reasonable for the amount of food received. Give them a try!!

Great service, great food. I was a first time customer at this restaurant today and I was really impressed. This is a family owned business serving home made fresh food. The place is very clean, the servers and manager are very friendly! They clearly care about the customer! My wife and I had the steak sandwich plate (excellent). My daughter had the falafel plate with the side tabouli salad (also excellent). We tried the middle eastern salad (fresh and a very tasty). I will happily drive up here from Chula Vista several times per month to eat here again and again.

First time here and I had a pretty good experience. Went around 7:30-8pm on a Friday night, wasn't as busy as I thought it'd be considered it being located in college area. Ordered two gyro sandwich combos for $30 including tip! Meat isn't as dry as other places I've tried. It satisfied my appetite as I'm pregnant lol. 4 stars for now, until I try other items! Hope to come again soon.

Love their lentil soup! Mama makes the pita by hand. Love their hummus, falafel, and their babaganoush is the best in San Diego.

My boyfriend and our family love this spot ! The gyros are to die for ! You can taste the pride they take in their food , not to mention incredible friendly service. We love the Greek salad! The smoothies are to die for, everything here is fresh tastes amazing. Do yourself a favor and try this place!

Ordered the chicken kabob meal.. wow what flavors! If you eat in, they give you lentil soup. Honestly I thought I wasn't going to like it. They had me asking for seconds. I will always eat in so I could get the complimentary lentil soup.

Whenever I'm around the area, I stop at this restaurant, the food is so so amazing, and the smoothies are delicious, if you are looking for great experience of taste and healthy, I truly recommend this place, and the customer service is amazing, beautiful and warm people with a smile and the music is relaxing, keep up the good work, keep on shining, thank you for the experience.

My family has been coming to Garden Fresh for years, the food is sooo flavorful. Amazing presentation & excellent customer service! We also love coming in for smoothies or acaí bowls I approached Marten a few months ago about having a large family dinner for 40. He was so helpful in coordinating & guiding me through what to order. He setup a beautiful buffet of hummus, baba ganoush, salad, garlic & tzatziki sauce, pita, rice, chicken shawarma (soooo good!), chicken & beef kebobs, & a few pizzas for the kids. Everything is so FRESH, its nice to serve a large crowd healthy, clean food. The staff is so attentive & helpful. The restaurant is clean & tidy. Everyone was impressed w/ the food & overall experience! We will be back many times and I highly recommend Garden Fresh for your group/large party! They offer a great meal at a great value! Thank you Marten, youre the best!

Incredible.... We just moved to the area and were driving around this plaza looking for food. Mediterranean sounded the best so we just walked in with zero expectations. SOLD!!! We are definitely going to be regulars here.... They gave us lentil soup on the house and my friend ordered the large Mediterranean salad which we shared that...both were delicious! Then I ordered the shawarma, my friend got the fries, and my other friend got the chicken pita. 10/10 for all of the above. Also shoutout to the service, they were SO nice!!! There was also a rush while we were sitting there and the two servers up front handled it so smoothly. Will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you for a great experience.

this place was recommended by a friend and I am so glad that I tried it. We pre-ordered the food over the phone and only waited a few minutes before it was ready when we got there. Pretty busy Plaza but plenty of parking. The pita sandwich I ordered was absolutely delicious. I loved everything about it. Tons of flavor, fresh ingredients, not dry, great sauce. I have tried multiple Mediterranean spots in the past, and I have to say that this was the best. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area looking for some good authentic Mediterranean food.

This place is legit so good. Fresh is in the name and they take it seriously! Been here a few times...customer service is consistently great. Seems family run -with a genuine commitment. Feels like they enjoy what they do. Good prices too.

Ground chicken and a side of beet salad. Never had a bad meal and all orders are made to order! Martins team is responsive and positive all food made on site. They also make custom made pizzas.

Staff was so friendly! Food was good. Daughter had a sandwich & it was a large helping & she had enough for later. Chicken Gyro plate was good. Order hummus....that is the only thing we missed on our plates. Baklava was some of the best I ever had!

Amazing service over the phone or in person. The staff is great. The restaurant is above cleanliness standards. Food preparation is outstanding and service is as quick as you can expect for the amount of customers there might be. I've been here three times now and it's enough for me to want to give it high praise.

I've been enjoying Garden Fresh Grill for years. I have always been disappointed in their falafel- it was usually very dry and low on flavor. Until yesterday! I got a falafel sandwich and it was delicious- moist and full of flavor! Love the added crunch of chopped pickles! It is pricey- but worth the cost!

Been coming here ever since college and always enjoyed the food! The service is quick and friendly. The plaza can get quite busy during peak hours, but parking is never an issue. Dining in, they give you lentil soup but it's not included for take-out. I'm a big fan of their hummus and their gyros. Food is consistently good and never had an issue during my experiences there! Definitely recommend if you're in the mood for gyros and such.

Stopped by to grab a chicken gyro to go, the staff were friendly and the service was fast. The gyro was good, but the not the best I have had.

This spot is a breath of fresh air from the normal burgers and pizza although they do sell pizza. They also sell smoothies and juices if you wanna be real healthy but if you are looking for a swarma or other Mediterranean food check this spot out.

called two days in a row (Friday/Saturday) attempting to place an order via phone and was placed on hold soon as she answered. The hold was 20 plus minutes. She never came back to the phone before I hung up. Horrible customer service. I used to spend a lot of money here. Smh

Sooooo.... we "accidentally" ate here two nights in a row. Did we like it? Nah, we loved it! The wife was craving some grilled salmon and to be honest, I didn't feel like cooking it. A Yelp search navigated me to Garden Fresh that had a salmon plate on the menu for her and grilled chicken kebabs for me, which made our dinner choice simple. Tack on a vegetarian combo for kicks and we were grubbing at home about 45 minutes after placing the order. We absolutely loved everything we tasted and appreciate the care in plating and presentation. Typically places like this look like they toss everything in the box and run it through the spin cycle of the washing machine before sending you home with it - not here. As I remembered from last time, the dolmas were especially good with the hummus being a surprise contender too. Hard to go wrong here and I have no doubt we'll be back soon... maybe today?

I've been coming to Garden Fresh for about 7 years. It was close to my old house so I frequently got takeout from here. I moved out of state for 4 years and I craved Garden Fresh the entire time I was gone. I've since moved back to San Diego, and Garden Fresh was the first place my family and I ate when We came back, moving truck and all! I appreciate the freshness of the food, it's always piping hot. The pita is handmade in their wood fired oven and the lentil soup is delicious. The hummus is fresh and clean, no nasty oils or weird flavors. I just love this place. It's solid. The staff and family that own it are kind and helpful. I don't eat out a lot because the quality has gone down so much, but not here. You can't make this food at home- it's just so good.

I ordered the grilled salmon entree. Pretty tasty. I Recommend that you ask for the ziti sauce with it since it didnt come with it. Other than that, its pretty yummy. For the togo packaging, i live only 7 min away so by the time i got home, the salad was warm from the heat of the salmon and rice. So i guess if they could put it in a separate container or some way to air out the container, to keep the salad colder would be good!

One of my coworkers got us a full catering from this place. Delish! We had the beef shawarma, beef and chicken kabobs, saffron rice, greek salad, tabbouleh, hummus, pita bread, two new *experimental* pizzas, and baklava. The meat was juicy and seasoned but not too salty at all (compared to other places). The rice was also beautifully seasoned and flavorful. The salad was very refreshing. It had plenty of feta cheese on it and the dressing was light and yummy! The pita bread was freshly baked and so soft! My coworker couldn't stop eating it. Baklava so fresh and just the right amount of sweetness. Every item was flavorful and fresh, and went well with one another. Portions were huge! We got a tray of each: meat, salad, pita, then a to-go box of each: hummus, tabbouleh, baklava, and two medium sized pizzas. Easily fed 12 people and more to take home. I live about 20 miles from here, but would gladly drive down myself for seconds! I'm grateful my coworker introduced us to this place.

The service is great, if you dine in they give you a complimentary lentil soup! Portions are large, a plate can be shared with two people. Very friendly staff who make the place welcoming and it's very clean.

I paid 15.00$ for this below average food , definitely would not recommend this place Would not go ever again food extremely mediocre!!!! And on top of that 4 pieces of chicken on my chicken Kabob Highly disturbed ,if u could give a zero rating I would Moral of the story Don't Eat here !!!!!!

The food is so darn fresh! I ordered the shawarma wraps and the avocado salad off of Uber eats. The flavors were 10/10 for me. The vegetables from the salad were perfectly crisp even though it is tossed with dressing. The breading from the wraps were nice and soft with a doughy flavor. I can't wait to try more and in person!

I sampled their smoothies and one of their lunch specials, and the food was truly delectable. Frankly, I didn't anticipate enjoying Mediterranean cuisine to this extent, but I took a chance, and I would certainly dine there again.

Great portion sizes and good food! Went here for a birthday and was pleasantly surprised with everything. We got a couple smoothies and sandwiches. Smoothies are good and the fact they serve boba is a definite plus. They also have vegan friendly/ dairy free options for the more health-focused individuals. My favorite was the Falafel sandwich! The pita is huge and fluffy and again, it is MUCH bigger than you'd think for $7. The sandwich also comes with a lentil soup. I would recommend this place to anyone for a nice lunch. Friendly and quick service in a calm atmosphere.

The healthiest and cleanest place in the area, everyone is nice and attentive, food is delicious! Their juice bar is great as well and everything is fresh and made at the moment. Will continue to go!!

The salmon along with the hummus and dolmas taste "off". Our chicken pita sandwich was very soggy. My wait time was quoted 15 minutes which turned out to be 45 minutes. They forgot my smoothie so I kindly reminded them. I won't be a returning customer. Customer service was fair so I gave a couple stars.

I haven't been here in a while. It's always been good but tonight's dining experience was amazing! Yara was friendly and polite. She promptly and correctly took our order and brought out everything in no time at all. We ordered the classics, the avocado salad, the gyro pita sandwich, and the gyro entree plate. The food was on point, super fresh and the perfect temperature. I forgot they bring you lentil soup before your entree. So simple but so good! They were playing some good old jazz in the background and everything was clean and tidy. This place is a hidden gem! Eat here!

30 minutes after ordering, we were served a charred black burnt pizza. I don't believe they would even have the audacity to put this in front of a customer. "We got distracted" was what I was told when I wasn't happy about it. They didn't offer anything for wasting our time, and didn't even want to refund me for the rest of my order (which we hadn't touched yet as it was to-go). I don't know who they have working here but clearly, they are unfit for the job. How difficult is it to set a timer when you put something in an oven? Clearly they have no respect for the customers time , money, or their own jobs.

Came here for lunch with my mom and aunt the other day. It was recommended by my aunt who has been here several times before. We all ordered the lamb kebob plate which came with a small salad, rice, and pita bread! The portions were great and I was definitely full after eating my plate. The lamb is marinated well and is tender and juicy. The rice also has great flavor and compliments the lamb very well. The pita bread is baked fresh and is light and fluffy!! Probably one of the best pita breads I've ever had. The tzatziki sauce is great and well balanced. When you eat lunch at the restaurant they provide a cup of lentil soup as well which my mom and aunt loved! The food here was great overall, however I had to knock them a star for service. There were two people working the front, the gentleman was nice and kind, however the other lady working seemed like she just didn't want to be there. I was just turned off by her lack of customer service. I might be back here if I'm in the area and craving kebobs.
