Food here is delicious. Got the buffalo chick'n salad. Savory breaded crispy chick'n slices served atop a generous serving of crisp lettuce, onions and tomatoes, and paired well with a really delicious vegan blue cheese dressing. The meatball sub was just "OK", the texture was firm and flavor reminded me of Gardein meatballs. But the tomato sauce and shredded cheese, in a crispy sub roll was excellent. Overall, it was a great meal. The owner is friendly and often visits the tables to check in and engage in small talk. Great location, beautiful view of the ocean from inside or outside on the patio. Recommended!

$8 for iced latte?! He gotta be putting some gold in that coffee. Wouldn’t mind even paying that much if the vibe and aesthetic level set. The place is clunky, disorganize and dirty to the point that it just turn me off to order anything despite I was hungry. The owner/manager: He was way too egoistic and rude that he had just opened a vegan place didn’t know anything about the food/beverages.

Google
absolutely LOVE the vegan and vegetarian food 😍 such good quality and great service! It’s so great to eat some classic food that I normally can’t have anywhere else, like the crab cakes and ruben!

Google
We had such a great experience at Garden Patch by the Sea! We tried the empanadas, fish and chips, and croissants—everything was fresh and full of flavor. The owner and chef were both super friendly and welcoming, which made it even better. My mom isn’t vegan and she absolutely loved the food too, which says a lot. Highly recommend stopping by!

Google
I recently ate at Garden Patch by the Sea. The selection of vegetarian and vegan options is impressive. We ordered a fish burger and fries and a California burger and fries. Both were delicious. The setting is charming and the service is wonderful. I will definitely be eating here again. The only photo I took was after I’d eaten half the burger, it looked so delicious that I started to eat as soon as I got my food 😂

I've been here twice during my lunch break at work. The first time I got a steak and cheese sub, which hit the spot juuuuust right.👌🏽Definitely a menu favorite for me. Today I got a BBQ chicken sandwich and mozzarella sticks. I wasn't expecting so much onion on top of the sandwich, I removed most of them because I don't really like onions that much. The bread must have been toasted because the ends were cooked so much they were hard as a rock, so I just tore the ends off to get to the good stuff. The BBQ sauce itself is AMAZING, which made the whole sandwich better. There were only 2 strips of chicken though, I would have liked more than that, especially for the price. The mozzarella sticks were what I was expecting and I'd get them again. For the sandwich and mozzarella sticks I paid just over $33. Overall, satisfied by the taste of the food, but the portions should increase or the prices should decrease. Updating to say I got a chocolate frappe today which was decent. It honestly tasted just like a coffee frappe which I still liked but I would have appreciated more chocolate flavor, and I'd prefer it to be thicker and not so watery. I don't think I'd get it again for $6.

Unfortunately, the menu and signage is misleading. This is a plant based restaurant, and should be proud to state such. However this is not the case. The owner had to tell us it was plant based. As for the food, I am not a vegan nor a vegetarian but thought I would give it a shot. I can not say it was palatable. The fish was like eating shredded cardboard with about the same flavor. Very disappointing considering we were on the waterfront.

Google
This is possibly my favorite restaurant. You literally cannot go wrong with anything on the menu!!! I love the wings, fish fillet sandwich, and the ice cream is banger as well 😁 and the beautiful seaside location is fantastic as well

Yelp
My vegan friend was excited to go for an all vegan menu. The menu is huge with a lot of options. They also offer dairy ice cream and dairy cheese if you are not vegan. It was 100 degrees outside, but the inside does not have any AC. It was almost as hot as outside. The tables and floor were very dirty. I ordered the steak and cheese, their most popular item, and it was just okay. My friend ordered the scampi pizza and fish and chips. She said the fish part was Gardein from the store. The quality was just okay. Overall, we do not plan to come back.

Yelp
It is super upsetting to find out this place really isn't vegan as they serve dairy ice cream. To make matters worse, they sell items that have expired. This place might be across from the beach but it really needs to be cleaned thoroughly. Seriously? Just because you put it on sale, doesn't mean expired food items should be sold. Super annoyed at my pizza w/ broccoli having like only 6 pieces on it & it being burnt. Not good. The ice cream wasn't worth it either as it was already pre-scooped into cups so it was super hard & tasted pretty bad. The only decent thing are the desserts, but they don't make that. Support other vegan places as this isn't worth it, considering he doesn't even want to be in the restaurant business, it 100% shows.

Yelp
Great vegetarian food in the Quincy area. And very friendly service. And very calm ambiance.

Kennedy S.

Yelp
Had the fish tacos and a chai, it was delicious! I would highly recommend this spot. The flavors were great and fast service.

Kei S.

Yelp
Overpriced- small portions- my non vegan friends were highly disappointed . Food tasted great, but left hungry. Salads- were mediocre, just lettuce, tomatoes, cukes charged 15+. Styrofoam containers, plastic utensils, not biodegradable or compostable. Service was SUPER SLOW. Prepare to wait 30 plus minutes for your food. Quincy can do better. No pics- didn't deserve it.

Bob B.

Yelp
Very overpriced and unimaginative. I mean if you're going to charge $20 for a vegan lobster roll, you better be whipping up something that actually resembles lobster and not artichoke hearts or palm hearts (couldn't tell what it was) smothered in Mayo. You know clam strips? Crispy outside, slightly chewy inside? Apparently these people haven't a clue, because what I got resembled overcooked Fried wonton. Not even close. Even their fries were subpar. If you're billing yourself as selling plant based seafood..do better. Had to try it once...now I'm done.

Nelson N.

Yelp
The food was excellent. I had the Steak Bomb sandwich, wife had Fish fillet and daugher a Mediterrianean salad and a red velvet cake. The food was superb. Couldn't ask for more.

Yojanna G.

Yelp
So many vegan options! We love the ambiance, the location and the service. Everything is delicious!

Yelp
Not often we get vegan seafood but this place slaps! Went here 3 times over my week stay in the area. Vegan fish and chips and the fish tacos were absolutely amazing. Crab cake samples were fantastic! The ice cream is great and oreo cake was a dream. Got to meet the owner and he was such a nice dude. It's always great supporting small shops that are crushing it!

Yelp
So excited to have a Vegan restaurant on the South Shore! So many awesome options including dessert!. I will definitely be back for more!!

Meagan E.

Yelp
This place was filthy. Selling expired OJ, told me "it's good for a few months past the expiration date." And asked me to put the other expired ones I'd pulled back in the case. Came back 20 minutes later to order ice cream and the man working was so aggressive and rude about choosing a type of cone (sorry I forgot the word "wafer") that I ended up walking out. Will never go back.

Yelp
This is a gem of a restaurant. The food is delicious & the chef is lovely. He's very accommodating to gluten intolerance. It's healthy comfort food at its best. It's got a great view of Wollaston beach. Parking is ample along the beach. Will definitely return when we are in the area.

Yelp
So dissapointed! This place is in the ideal location, right across the street from the beach with a ton of outdoor seating! I would have thought this place would be just as popular and busy as it's neighboring restaurants. But when I walked in, the man behind the counter looked surprised to see a customer. The first thing I noticed was the smell.. It smelled like a combination of wet-dog and old-dirty-aquarium. Despite the smell and the lack of cleanliness, I decided to get a sandwich to go since I only had a few minutes. The sandwich was ok but ridiculously overpriced for what it was. This place has so much potential due to it's perfect location. I think it's simply that the prices are too high, the quality is too low and the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. If they cleaned it up a bit, improved the quality of the food and set the prices a bit more reasonable than I bet business would improve. If it were my business, I would focus the most on it being a coffee spot with stuff like an espresso bar, fresh bagels, muffins etc. and then some affordable sandwiches with fresh ingredients for lunch. I for one would be there every weekend buying coffee and food with a good book to sit on the patio and read and there to buy a quick sandwich most days during the week. I had such high hopes for this place when I first saw it.

Yelp
Here's my review of Garden Patch By The Sea...my new favorite place My husband and I were so so excited to finally try this place after seeing so many great reviews and of course we always love supporting plant based restaurants! I had to try the lobster roll which was delicious and I loved the Cole slaw it tasted very traditional as did the tarter sauce too that I had with the crab cakes. Craig, the owner, knowing we drove so far to come down surprised us and let us sample their crab cakes and clam strips which were both amazing! The crab cakes were very flavorful and dipped in the tarter sauce were perfection. I really liked the clam strips and the texture of them, crispy and not as chewy as real clam strips (have not had clams in forever and they really gross me out now I could never eat them again) my husband even tried both of these and hadn't ever really eaten seafood but because they were vegan he was more interested in giving it a go. The wings!!!!! Okay now you have to get these if you come here seriously we were so impressed!! They were chewy and smoky, the "bone" part is edible it's made of sugarcane we've never had anything like it. They do not skimp on sauces either!!! We tried teriyaki and sweet chili sauces. Chickn Parm sub and sweet potato fries both cooked perfectly and crispy. Very impressed I think non-vegans would love this chickn Parm sub, I would suggest it to everyone! Their patio is amazing, chairs are super comfortable, it's a great size patio with umbrellas at the tables, flowers all around. And it's very relaxing despite the cars driving by. Water is right across the street and view of the Boston skyline! They have lights at night over the patio. Planes flying overhead in the distance. The owner Craig could not be any nicer!! We really enjoyed talking to him. He made our visit special and we so appreciate all the hard work he's put into this business. We also appreciate his business being open today! They just started opening on Mondays. It can't be easy running an entirely plant based restaurant but he's so passionate and I would love everyone to support him and his mission!!! They are having an event this Saturday night! Live music it'd be a great time to go and try the food! Next time we visit (soon again I hope!) we're bringing our baby and dog and I'm getting the clam strip basket, wings, and hopefully they'll have their vegan soft serve ice cream by then!!! Can't wait! Thanks Craig for a great experience AJD

Yelp
Food is great and staff is so friendly! I love being able to eat by the water as well. Will definitely be coming back

Brandon M.

Yelp
FINALLY a place close to me that serves vegan seafood! They got all kinds of foods from wings, pizza, deserts, and of course, the lobster roll. 5/5 highly recommend for those who want to experience vegan dining by the water. My goal is to try every single item on this menu one day!

Kacey B.

Yelp
Love this place, great location and great service. Very friendly crowd with a beautiful scene. The plant-based meals they have here are amazing and I will repeatedly get the bomb steak and cheese or buffalo chicken. Healthy, delicious, yummy.

Grace H.

Yelp
When you are rude, inhospitable, unhelpful, overpriced, and your establishment is dirty and hot, I won't be back.

Victor G.

Yelp
Disgusting Do yourself a favor don't spend your money here horrendous I would rather eat jail food - ingredients are just incredibly low quality I'm not back for sure the only good thing is that we're done Bye

Jacqui L.

Yelp
Don't expect a millennial-style vegan restaurant with whitewashed walls and minimalist decor - this is a seaside casual restaurant by the beach! The food is average and relatively high in price (COVID?) but my friend and I were so hungry after a bike ride from Boston that it was a gem to find this place! They are probably one of if not the only veg places so close to the water, and have a good number of non-animal-byproduct options! They also have a large number of dessert options from cakes and cookies to ice cream (though I don't think they're all vegan). In any case, I'd definitely return the next time I'm in the area - a perfect mid-beach-day spot!

Sean K.

Yelp
We got the falafel wrap, crab cakes w/ fries and onion rings. All of it was delicious, the onion rings were super crispy, the crab cakes had great flavor, the wrap was 10/10 and the fries were perfect. Absolutely would come back.

Bellas M.

Yelp
It's not plant based when you sell dairy cheese ,creamer, and ice cream made from dairy milk. I've been vegan for 38 years and animal products are not plant based nor vegan. Not interested in funding your continued murdering of innocent calves and their mothers.

Lauren D.

Yelp
While the food here was great the two times I have been able to eat here, there's something strange with the restaurant's business model. Once, we were turned away because the chef was behind on orders. It was opening week, so we let it slide. But tonight, we started placing our order at the register at 7:30, only to be told the chef would not be accepting any other orders for the night and had turned off the grill. The restaurant closes at 8. Had it been 7:55 or even 7:45, this would feel a little more understandable. It seems like this restaurant has some staffing issues that need to be rectified in order for it to shine.

S P.

Yelp
Delicious, fresh, hot, pleasant service, and even quick! I was not expecting that part. I was able to order from a whole menu of things I had never tried before! The clam strips and lobster roll were great. We sat across the street so we could be near the water. We'll definitely make another day trip to try more stuff! If you like to try new things, are vegan, or don't eat seafood and want some, this is a must-stop.

Abby G.

Yelp
The vegan chicken parm sub was very good. I also love the funfetti cake they have in their pastry fridge.

Hillary R.

Yelp
Delicious and so fun!! There are a few things I still miss as a vegetarian..Buffalo chicken and pepperoni. (Not together of course) but it was so fun to be able to order this kind of stuff! The Buffalo chicken tenders were delicious!! Also the falafel wrap was great. The vegan ice cream is really good and my 6 year old loves it! Also the French fries were dangerously good. Overall a really fun place for a vegan on a cheat day!

Carol K.

Yelp
Very glad this place is here! The menu is huge, probably too big for them to function well, but there is something for everyone. We went on a hot day and it was pretty busy. We ordered cauliflower app with two sauces on the side, fried chicken sandwich, steak bomb, fish and chips, a mediterranean salad and onion rings. The wait was a bit long, but that's fine. The cauliflower came drenched in bbq sauce, which was neither of the two "on the side" sauces we had requested. The guy at the counter did acknowledge it and asked if they should re do it, we said, no, that's fine. So, we took our trays of food outside. It's lovely sitting across from the water. No forks, ketchup or napkins were given, so we went back to ask for all of that. Then we realized no salad dressing was given, but the line inside was way too long to bother, so we squeezed some of the fresh lemon on it. The fish and chips was wonderful. The sandwiches were great. Cauliflower was meh, but we are not bbq fans, so...the salad was fine, hard to navigate in a small bowl, but fresh and crunchy. The onion rings were too crispy on the verge of burnt. Overall the mock meats/fish are amazing. They need more help inside to keep things moving well, but they will get there. Kudos to them for bringing vegan seafood and more to the people!

john z.

Yelp
All I'm going to say is they are rude and talk to you like you are stupid, maybe I'll try again but doubtful.

Gerardo R.

Yelp
I would give it a zero but I can't so I'm giving it a 1. First the wait time for my meal was over an hour wait. I understood that it was pretty busy but I can't believe I had to wait over an hour for this. The buttered shrimp plate was $19!!! I paid 19 for barely any shrimp and over oiled fries. The picture posted is with extra shrimp that I had to go up to and ask because at first it only had 4 small pieces of shrimp. Why would you call this a buttered shrimp plate and only have 4 small pieces? The chef seemed annoyed that I asked for more but I waited 75 min and paid over $20 for this small plate. Extremely disappointed as I was excited to try the place but I will not be going again! My friend got the cblt sandwich which was dry and bland. Half of the sandwich was only eaten. The cheese fries which are not pictured had only a thin layer of daiya (worst vegan cheese) cheese on top! Save yourselves some money and go somewhere else.

Stacey M.

Yelp
Great for carnivores who want an occasional plant-based meal. That's obviously the intended clientele. However, I wouldn't recommend it for vegetarians or vegans who are repulsed by meat, chicken, and fish. I was looking for nutritious offerings: whole grain bowls, fruit salads, avocado toast, stir-fried vegetables, tofu...anything, really, that didn't look or taste like the animal foods I've been avoiding for 40 years. Impossible burgers, faux chicken wings, fake fried fish, and similar atrocities are not going to do it for me. Neither will 99.9% of the other offerings. But the workers are delightful, and I'd go back in a heartbeat if they added to their menu to accommodate vegetarians.

J A.

Yelp
I can't believe this restaurant's entire menu is plant based, I'm super happy with my food here. Nice outdoor seating options too.

T P.

Yelp
Very friendly owner, nice relaxing view by the water outside. Our fave is the steak and cheese sub, and the fish and chips!

Devyn K.

Yelp
vegan shrimp and burgers was awesome. insanely good ice cream. recommend to anybody. :)
