We recently dined at this dim sum place and were pleasantly surprised by how good everything was for such an affordable price. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, with a simple yet inviting atmosphere—perfect for casual meals or family get-togethers. The dim sum was flavorful and fresh, and the menu had a wide variety of choices without being overwhelming. What really stood out was the service—staff were attentive, polite, and very accommodating. There was a small mix-up with our bill, as something we didn’t order ended up being added. But when we pointed it out, they were very apologetic and handled it professionally. They even offered to let us take the item home instead of canceling it, which we appreciated. It turned out to be delicious too, so no regrets there! Overall, it was a great experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back. If you’re looking for tasty dim sum that won’t break the bank, with clean surroundings and excellent customer service, this is a spot worth checking out.

February 2025 Came here for the daily lunch special. Nowadays, not many restaurants offer lunch specials. This restaurant remain the few. Aside from the fried flounder which was not fresh but the crispness camouflage the taste. Unless you eaten fresh fish often, you may not identified the freshness. However, the beef was good and sweet sour ribs were very tasty. Regardless, the lunch offering provides great values and portion. Will return regardless. February 2025 Return in a month and brought a couple guests here. Ordered string beans and sweet and sour ribs. Delicious as usual and great value for lunch special.

It’s my birthday I called to order baked lobster with cheese. It turned out to be fried lobster. They did not make it clear on the phone when I ordered that they only make fried lobster. And they refused to communicate and correct it. I paid for $80 for this. It such a bad experience and it’s sad that I go to this restaurant almost every single week for dim sum.

Google
We have been here for Dim Sum, which is very good. They have the carts and the people bring the carts by and you can either get the food they have on their cart or wait for one of the other carts. They food is very delicious and well made. The service is outstanding. We also have tried the Peking Duck off the menu with buns and they make a soup out of the bones. The duck was very tasty and the soup was delicious. The presentation of the duck is very nice. We enjoy this restaurant very much and will return again. The restaurant was very clean as were the restrooms. The associates working here are very nice and will make sure you get what you need.

Tried dim sum on a Sunday morning for brunch. Very hit and miss taste, more on the miss side. The chicken feet especially were not fresh and tasted sour. Ordered an iced coffee and it came in a styrofoam cup and was leaking from a hole, asked for a new one and their first idea was to just give me a new cup, even though half of the drink had spilled out already. We tried to order an Ala cart item and the waitress walked away before we finished. Overall would not recommend.

Google
Large, traditionally-styled Dim Sum dining room! We came too late on a Saturday for Dim Sum carts, but the employees said they do have them during peak hours. The dim sum plates are very reasonably priced and the food came out fast after ordering. The taste and quality of the food were excellent, especially for the price tag. We’ll be back to try their duck.

Google
It was my wife and I first experience here. First impression, the place is nice and opened, meaning more space. The service was a bit lacking. I had to request refills, and we asked for rice, but it never came. Some of the dishes weren't cooked properly, so it came out gooy/gelatinous. I give this place a 2☆. I would not recommend this place for dim sum, and will not be back.

Google
This time I went for a birthday party and dinner time and it wasnt dim sum. Surprising the dishes were so good🔥🔥🔥 Lobster fried rice, shrimp fried ball and Peking duck were the top 3 that were going fast we ordered 2 of each in total 😅

Yelp
We were craving Peking duck and this hit the spot! I love the thin wraps but like the buns too. They are more filling. The Peking duck was very crispy, maybe post fried ? Very crunchy and we loved it. The price did go up a bit within a year (about $10). Did not have to put in a pre order. They had enough for the day. The 2nd dish for the duck bones was a pickled mustard saute. It was okay. Had a spoiled taste to it. Maybe it's the fermented pickled leaves. They also do all day dim sum to order. It was good! Wished I had ordered more. My husband loved the salted pepper tofu. It had a good crunch. Could be a tiny bit more salted. Overall good dinner! We hardly ever come here but will frequent here again.

Yelp
This is a local dim sum favorite and we're regulars there. We value the rolling carts, however, inconsistent arrival times mean we don't always experience it which is ok. The food is reliably good. It offers a consistently satisfying selection. We especially enjoyed the durian pastry. Its comes in 3 rich, creamy and completely perfect flakiness make it the best. Their other pastries are always fresh and delicious and we enjoy trying them as well. The service sometimes feels rushed during peak hours; however, this is part of the "hustle-bustle charm of a dim sum restaurant". A visit is worthwhile, especially for several pastry enthusiasts or a sizable group of them.

Yelp
Loved the traditional dim sum cart service here (Saturday morning visit). The menu was pretty vast. We enjoyed the traditional and popular dishes (shrimp dumpling/har gao, shui mai, etc.). The beef chow fun was good! Overall a pretty lovely dim sum place! Don't let the exterior deter or scare you! The inside is much more kept than the exterior leads you to believe!

Yelp
My family likes Garden restaurant and goes there every now and then. They are known for their dim sum (which is also very good). My uncle from California was in town for a single day so we all decided to come here since they had a promotion for a free lobster if you spend $100. They have a huge space and it wasn't that busy on a Sunday night. We got the Chinese broccoli with garlic, pan fried eggplant stuffed with shrimp, beef with string bean, soup dumplings and xiu mai from the dim sum menu, beef flat noodle, Mongolian beef, and string bean with salt pepper tofu. I loved both of the beef dishes. The beef flat noodle came out first and it was the perfect starter. The beef was tender and noodles were chewy and full of char. The beef dishes were so tender and paired well with the string beans and onions. I LOVEDDD the eggplant dish. Eggplant was steaming hot and chewy, filled with shrimp goodies inside. I loved pouring its sauce full of black beans over my rice too. The Chinese broccoli with garlic was a perfect vegetable dish to pair with our meal. Salt and pepper tofu... what more can I say about that, it's a must get. The dim sum dishes and lobster were just ok. The soup dumplings had no soup and the lobster was not that meaty, but it was free haha. Our servers filled drinks regularly and are pretty funny too, they got jokes

Yelp
The service and ambiance was ok for a Chinese restaurant with Vietnamese influence. We had dim sum during lunch on a Sunday and it was not overly crowded. Out of all the dishes that we ordered, I liked less than half of them, but their durian puffs were exceptionally good. Other than that, I really liked their century egg porridge and chicken feet. I would visit again just for the durian puffs.

Yelp
Worst food I have ever eaten. Not the food was bad even the servers were bad too!!! Even my 7 years old didn't like the food. Don't waste your money and time to come to this place!!!!

Yelp
I love both food and service. It was my first time but i was satisfied enough. Definitely will come back.

Yelp
Sadly the food quality has gone at down after COVID. We used to visit Garden when we craved for dim sum, preferring this over Kirin Court due to Kirin's wait time. We visited again today (Saturday) at lunch. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full. We got seated quickly and got a variety of dim sum dishes. The bbq pork buns were barely edible. Shrimp dumplings also not good at all. We left without finishing our food and still a little hungry. Unfortunately we won't be back and will stick with Kirin Court going forward.

Yelp
It was a busy Sunday, but the wait was worth it! The siu mai and chicken feet were the best I've had out of every dim sum place I've tried. You can tell everything was freshly made and not frozen. My only complaint about the food is the shrimp cheung fun roll was a bit bland. The carts were slow to come around. We mainly saw only the har gow and siu mai cart, which we filled up on, before the other carts came. I wish we got to try more, but it was a busy Sunday with church goers.

Yelp
I honestly wasn't impressed. As a native New Yorker with the best dim sum from Chinatown and flushing, I came in with low expectations but was still disappointed. The young servers were nice and attentive but the host was terrible and could care less about greeting people or taking their seat numbers. The walnut shrimp was okay, and all of the dim sum was okay. The only thing that was good was the bolo baos. The egg custard tarts had a weird taste to them. I saw Vietnamese words everywhere and a large amount of Vietnamese staff and customers so the influence is great there and I cannot say it is 100% authentically Cantonese. I would personally not return and try another restaurant.

Yelp
Was looking for a weekday dim sum place when we found this via some online recommendations. We thought it would be order off the menu but they had carts rolling around and the food was hot. Price was a little higher than we were used to from other places but everyone is raising prices. The dim sum was decent, the tea was good. The only surprises were that the tendon was kind of sweet instead of spicy and the shumai was only shrimp. The staff weren't particularly friendly but they weren't rude either and we never had to wait long for anything. The restaurant was kind of decorated but it was ruined by the layers upon layers of plastic tablecloths every table had - I think it would look better if they just did away with the tablecloths entirely.

Yelp
Tip: Come Saturday afternoons and try to avoid this place on Sunday afternoons. You will wait 1+ hour on Sundays. I'm not quite sure why this place had only 3.5 stars. For me this place was 5/5 for everything. This is one of those old school dim sum places where it's straight forward and you order what you want. The staff was so sweet and were really enthusiastic in recommending good dishes. The dishes themselves are either Vietnamese style or your typical Chinese style. I recommend ordering something else besides the dim sum. The chefs made AMAZING crab fried rice (it's made viet style).

Yelp
Just like being in old San Francisco. Food was amazing, car service the whole 9. Will be back in a heartbeat!

Yelp
The dim sum at Garden Restaurant is comparable and some dishes are even better than my usual go-to spot Kirin Court. Which is to say, it's one of the best spots for dim sum in Dallas. The only negative was that the service was a bit slow and we had to wave down servers even though it wasn't that crowded on a weekday lunch. One of the dim sum dishes we ordered came out 10min after we had finished all our other food. Unique must-try dish: Durian Puffs, deep-fried thin pastry filled with durian cream. It looks a little like a crispy fat caterpillar with all its segments. Durian is notoriously stinky but this dessert didn't smell that strong and several of us who had never tried durian before enjoyed the dish. Cons: Not as nice inside and slower service compared to Kirin Court. Pros: Durian Puff which I haven't seen anywhere else. Reasonably priced.

Yelp
Ended up here via family when in Dallas (or Garland to be exact). Apparently this is a go to spot for them so we let them do the ordering. I was a little iffy based on ratings and by looks of the place. We walked in at luckily not a busy time on a Saturday afternoon. (I did my homework with reviews and most negatives were related to service so... still promising?) To add to the ambiance there was a 20 person party of gentlemen drinking beer and whisky, cheers-ing, singing in another language, obviously celebrating something... or who knows - maybe just having fun at dim sum. Much to my surprise everything was tasty but wanted to shout out to my faves: Eggplant w/ shrimp - speaking to the eggplant in general - you always make me ponder at how to cook you. I always feel you're hard and then all the sudden soggy and mushy and hard to tear a bite off. This place had you down. Back to not speaking to a vegetable lol - I've never had an eggplant with a perfect medium cooked consistency that you could bite easily and eat until this day. And the shrimp in the middle of the eggplant bite - nice contrast. Added tip, the sauce on this dish is worth saving to put on some white rice. Seafood Fried Rice - delicious! Perfectly seasoned with umami seasonings (not just "soy sauce") and seafood included calamari and bay scallops. Could have eaten the whole platter of this. Fried Fish - don't usually like my food looking at me but... The fish spoke for itself. Perfectly thinly battered for crunch and even better had a clean fish taste (not sure how to explain not fishy without saying not fishy since technically it is a fish). So.... teaches me not to judge a book by it's cover. Shout out to my Dallas family for a place well picked.

Yelp
There was a noodle hidden under my napkin on my plate when the plates were placed as clean. The server spilled my cup of tea while cleaning. They use the same gloves to clean the finished tables as they do to serve other patrons. Additionally, they charge a tip on top of the bill. Tips should be optional, not stated as part of the bill. Furthermore, the restroom was dirty.

Yelp
Traditional styled dim sum restaurant where the ladies pull the dim sum carts around your table. The price of dim sum was reasonably priced and tastes pretty decent in dfw area. The service by the ladies in the cart is pretty good. When I asked the lady for an item that she didn't have, she went and got it for me which was very nice. We mostly ate dim sum but decided to order Chicken with Spicy garlic sauce from the menu. We went there Sunday right before noon and the wait was pretty short. This dish wasn't what I expected...it wasn't saucy at all and it was pretty spicy compared to other restaurants and the only vegetables they had was big chunks of onions and large jalapeño chucks. They have a spice rack on each table but it doesn't include sriracha and the yellow spicy mustard sauce. If you ask for them, they do provide it for you. Overall we liked this restaurant and we recommend it if you have cravings for dim sum in dfw area.

Yelp
One of the better dim sum places in Dallas. Have been to most of the places in Dallas and this is a solid choice. Not in the nicest part of town but have never had to wait if you get in early. Have cart service on the weekends not sure about the rest of the week. Enjoyed the pan fried crispy noodle.
google avatar

Yelp
Really good dim sum! I have been here many times! A staple is chicken feet. Good dim sum needs great chicken feet, and it's exactly how I had hoped it would be! Sweet, soft, and tasty. The stir fried noodles are great too. All of the shrimp dishes are really good-shrimp balls, shrimp rice noodle roll (cheung fun). If you are expecting service all the time (like how in American restaurants) you won't get it but the food trumps service. There are a lot of people so you will have to wave someone over if you the food from the little carts or need more water/tea. We got too much food so the lazy Susan couldn't spin, but the food is great and my stomach is filled. Everything smells good and will definitely come again!

Yelp
Came here for dim sum and it's pretty quiet at lunch time . So everything we ordered came out instantly . The quality is decent but not exceptional .

Yelp
Every time we go the food doesn't disappoint when craving dim sum. The restaurant is simple but can get packed as people like to come for large group gatherings and it seems like a sign people enjoy this place along with the service they provide.
google avatar

Danica A.

Yelp
This place is pretty good for Chinese & Chinese inspired food. My family & I had the roast duck and crispy noodles with seafood. Not to mention we had a variety of dim sum, which they offer all day! If you're looking into dim sum, I suggest ordering a few then ordering more if needed. All of our orders were made fresh. Please keep in mind that not all staff are fluent in English, but their work ethic is good. Staff was kind enough to give us a gift card since we paid our bill full in cash; it was worth 10% of our total bill. Will definitely swing by again when we're around the area. After all, we have a gift card to use lol
google avatar

Yelp
Dim sum is one of the best in Dallas. Good amount of dishes and they move frequently though the tables. The restaurant gives banquet hall vibes but not in a bad way. Parking is a bit tricky if you come at rush hour since it's a shopping plaza and next door is a supermarket. Be patient and it will be worth the wait!
google avatar

Luna V.

Yelp
Food is okay just like other Chinese restaurants What pissed me off is you pay the same amount for dine-in & Togo order yet you only get HALF the portion when you do TOGO order. The employee kept telling me that's their policy/rule which is bs to me. I hope they fix this issue and not be so greedy!
google avatar

Cathy C.

Yelp
One of my favorite place to have Sunday Dim sum with family and friends. The food is great and for a reasonable price . Great place for larger gatherings.

Germany W.

Yelp
Food Amazing!!! Service Outstanding!!! Ambiance Incredible!!! Definitely beyond 5 stars, my new favorite restaurant for this type of cuisine. Plenty of great options and generous portions.
google avatar

Melanie T.

Yelp
The dim sum can be good. It does taste like a lot of other good dim sum places. There's a good variety to order and you can get full. Sometimes the dishes arrive cold like the noodle rolls and other times it comes out hot to order. The only reason to come to this establishment is for the durian puffs. If you like durian, this is a must. I ordered some to eat at the restaurant and ordered some more to bring back home. Most dim sum places do not have durian puffs so it's worth the trip here. The parking lot can be a mess. There are so many restaurants here so it can get crowded.

SammyB T.

Yelp
We love coming here for dim sum because it's not a madhouse like other popular locations. Good selection of tasty foods and friendly service.

Lisa B.

Yelp
Food is yummy and reasonable. Taste is authentic. We had dim sum for dinner and the quality is fantastic. Good portions and reliable service.

Yelp
3.5 star rating in my opinion is unjustified for this place! We came in for dim sum after spending the morning at the Dallas Arboretum and we were hungry. Thought about going to Kirin but Garden was closer. So why not give it a shot since we've never been to either. Kirin can be another time we're in the area. We kind of got a little confused with exactly where it was at because there was a lot of remodeling going on with the strip mall they were at and only had temporary banners for each businesses but it'll look really nice when it's all done. Anyways, let's get to the most important part of the review! I didn't think the 3.5 star rating was unjustified because everything we order was perfect and fresh! Tasty traditional Chinese dim sum flavors! Very comparable to what we're accustomed to from California! The service was excellent and if the cart lady doesn't have what your looking for, she'll put in the order to the kitchen for you! Wallah, piping hot dishes straight from the kitchen!!! The xia long nap was freshly cooked and would burn your lips if you didn't bite into the wrap carefully! Rich broth and juicy pork meat inside! The salted egg yolk bun's steaming hot sweet lava yolk was just perfect!!! Everything was great and I can go on and on about it but we're going back for more and try the main dishes!!! That's it for now and check the pics!!!

Yelp
The server got an order wrong. The food was not as good as other dim sum restaurants in the area. We won't go back.

Yelp
I made the trip to Dallas from Austin and decided that I wanted dim sum. I gave this spot and try and was pleasantly happy. The food and price was fair, I wish they had more selections on the carts bc the same carts would keep coming back.

Maddy M.

Yelp
Worst experience ever. They were charged for hot water and also there was a cockroach running around near the kitchen. The service was terrible
google avatar

Jessie C.

Yelp
This has become our family's go-to Dim Sum spot. Their dimsum options are varied and authentic. Some of our favorites include cheungfun (rice roll), zongzi, salted egg yolk custard bun, chicken feet, taro puff and shrimp har gao. They push carts around unlike a lot of sit-down order dimsum restaurants these days - so it's a fun experience! It does get pretty busy on the weekends, especially Sundays, and its not the most formal establishment despite how big the restaurant is. So service can be kind of slow, and it might be better to just order at the front for dimsum instead of waiting for the carts... Overall, service is not the best, but the food is good! They also serve more than just dimsum - the crab fried rice is a must-try!
google avatar

Yelper A.

Yelp
PROS -For the price, it's worth going. CONS -It's anybody's guess what staff can understand English or Chinese. It's like pulling teeth ordering what we want with some of the servers. Makes it very shady who's being hired here. -Being sat next to the TVs is not a great seat. The speakers are right there and you can't hear the person next to you and have any semblance of a conversation. Suggest to put speakers at height in ceiling or not at all. -There's at least 1 of the servers who push the cart around to serve the dimsum that are way too pushy. They come and put the dish on your table first before asking if you want it. We're seasoned dimsummers so we always tell them to put it back on their cart where it belongs but some have to be told multiple times. -It takes forever to get what you ordered. Not to mention taking forever to order it to begin with. See the first CONS point.

Yelp
Love this place, authentic dim sum experience, great food, extensive menu offers in addition to the dim sum

Yelp
Service was fast. Love the dim-sung, Keep coming back everytime we have occasion to celebrate.

Yelp
Food was amazing. We ordered a shrimp shumai, egg tarts, and many good dishes. All of them were beyond our expectations! The service was also great. We will definitely visit again!

Yelp
This used to be our go-to dim sun place. We hadn't been here in a few months. We went this past Sunday arriving around 1 pm. There was a full house of customers. So we assumed the food would be fresh and good. Boy were we WRONG!! Here's a synopsis of our experience: * Ordered vegetable bun. Got wrong item. They gave us green food dyed pork buns. * Ha gao tasted like leftovers. Rubbery skin * the Pork bun and chive dumplings were both COLD when they brought them to us. We informed them. Their literally microwaved the dishes and brought them back to our table * The sticky rice in the leaf wrap was mushy. Again tasted like leftovers. * The steamed pork tripe was fully pungent. No ginger or other savory flavor. Tasted awful! * Toward the end of the meal, we ordered Shiao Long bao. The server said it would take 20 minutes and they would steam them fresh. 10 minutes later she confirmed that the kitchen was working on them. 25 minutes later, she said that the kitchen had not started the dumplings and asked if we still wanted them. We said no. Just an overall awful dining experience. Bad food. Poor service. NEVER GOING BACK!!
google avatar

Jonathan L.

Yelp
Decent dimsum. I would agree with the other reviews. Good food, okay service. For a pretty large restaurant, they only had 2 carts going. But the staff was very friendly. If you want something just order it and the server will hunt it down from the carts. Dallas doesn't have the greatest dimsum so I think this one is good to where we would come again.
google avatar

Casey T.

Yelp
I wasn't very impressed with this dim sum place, the dim sum was so-so and the service wasn't very attentive, it was hard to get anyone's attention. I ordered a few of their other dishes (peking duck and a chicken dish) and they were extremely oily and lacked flavor. The one thing I was interested in getting here - the Dungeness Crab Fried Rice - was sold out by the time we got there, and we were told that we would have to pay extra for them to go out and buy more crab if we still wanted to order it. Apparently they only have a limited amount each day, so if you want it be sure to come early!
google avatar

Nelson C.

Yelp
Seated promptly when I got here. Everyone was very attentive. The dim sum was pretty good here. Chicken feet were flavorful and delicious.
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
Pretty bad service tonight--put our dishes on wrong tables, missed an entire dish, extremely slow service. Food was overly salty, garlicky, and oily. Dim sum looked reheated--sauce was coagulated. Walnut shrimp were extremely small--barely bigger than the fried rice shrimp. Prices were expensive for the quality.

Yelp
This place is a staple in my family, I LOVE the food here and it's decently priced with good portions too!! Kind of empty on the weekdays and go after 1 on Sunday so it's not too packed!

Yelp
Worth the drive! My family and I had been searching for a dim sum place since the closing of Maxim's Chinese restaurant a few years ago. Even though this restaurant is about a 45 minute drive for us, I would only come here for dim sum. The place is clean with great service. They recently renovated which makes it look more sophisticated. The food has been very consistent. The dishes have an authentic taste without feeling too greasy or heavy, in my opinion. Dim sum favorites: (It was hard to narrow these down to 5, everything is so delicious!) #1. Shrimp Cheung Fun (Shrimp fun roll) HUGE portion! This is my absolute favorite dish and they give so much! The shrimp is fairly large and they have enough sauce and the right amount of "fun" for the perfect bite. #2. Siu Mai Large pieces of siu mai stuffed with pork, shrimp and mushroom! My family always orders this and even takes an entire box of this to-go so we can continue to eat it for breakfast the following morning. Still amazing when reheated! #3. Shrimp Ball This one may take a bit of time to make, and trust me it is SO worth it. I recommend eating this only at the restaurant. It won't taste the same after reheating. It's a big piece with crispy wonton strips on the outside that is deep fried. #4. Crispy Durian Pastry If you love durian, you HAVE to try this! I used to hate durian but I grew to love it because of this pastry. The pastry itself is super flaky which pairs well with the mashed durian inside. #5. Steamed Egg Custard Bun Save enough room for this one! It's hard to find a great bao like this with the right consistency on the inside. WARNING: the custard is hot and can be runny so watch your fingers. Had to learn the hard way... However, if you're needing something to cut the grease, I'd recommend ordering my family's favorite -- combination of chrysanthemum (菊花 -- júhuā) and Pu'er tea. (普洱 -- pu-erh). Pu'er tea is a fermented black tea which has cleansing benefits and helps with digestion. The last time I came here, they ran out of Pu'er tea so we went with Oolong tea which was a great substitute. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in search of an authentic dim sum place!

Yelp
100% recommend this place! They serve dim sum all day and their food is absolutely delicious! Definitely worth the drive! My family and I live in Fort Worth and we drive to Garland just for their food! The service is friendly and fast! Food comes out fresh and tastes amazing. You can tell their food is made in house. Great for groups/families. They even offer to go options for all their items and they have a lot of variety. Definitely recommend checking this place out and will continue to be returning customers!

Yelp
3 stars is for the dimsum. Service is pretty bad. The non dimsum chinese dishes off the menu were not very good at all. Everything had way too much cornstarch. -Oyster clay pot- Not flavorable - goat clay pot- Taste awful. A taste I can't even describe. -Sizzling oyster plate- Better than the clay pot - Ginger Scallion lobster- Easily one of the WORST Ginger Scallion sauces. The sauce was not flavorful and HEAVILY thickened with cornstarch. The presentation was dull. For $100 dish, at least make the dish look presentable. -HK style sauce crab- This seasoning was the best for seafood -Clams- this was ok.
