Haven Homes of Detroit recently hosted our Hope & Toast Gala at the Garden Theater on February 28th, and we could not have been more impressed. The venue itself is stunning, beautifully restored, spacious, and perfect for creating an elegant and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The layout worked wonderfully for our program, dinner, and entertainment, and we received so many compliments on how gorgeous the space was. What truly set this experience apart was the exceptional staff. Every team member we interacted with was professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to helping our event run smoothly. Their coordination and communication were top‑tier, from pre‑event planning through the final moments of teardown. It made hosting a large nonprofit gala feel seamless. We are incredibly grateful for the level of care and excellence the Garden Theater team brought to our evening. Highly recommended for anyone looking to host a major event in Detroit!

The Garden is the best venue in the City! This is my second time using the Garden to celebrate many life's moments. The first time I hosted my 30th Birthday party, and most recently I hosted my daughter's 13th Birthday Sneaker Ball in the Atrium of the Garden. Amy was amazing to work with, she answered MANY of my questions, and was very flexible with my many changes, and even gave me great recommendations to make the event stand out. BJ was also very helpful, without asking he helped with lighting, and setup. The BEST staff!! The space was PERFECT for both occasions, such a Gem in the city.

Amazing venue. We were here last night for the first time for Purple Kiss and loved it. The acoustics were great and the viewings were perfect. Loved it. We hope to be back for more shows in the future. Added note. They had very clean restrooms but needed to be restocked.

The Garden Theatre is the best venue in the city for hosting a classy, stylish, and sophisticated event. The space is sexy, unique, and offers endless opportunities to create a truly distinctive aesthetic. We hosted an event for 220 guests, including a VIP reception on the second floor prior to dinner, and every detail was flawless. The true highlight of our experience was working with Amy. She took our vision and brought it to life, elevating it beyond anything we could have imagined. A true professional, Amy is deeply knowledgeable and attentive to every detail, from audiovisual and floor planning to food and beverage selections, parking, and logistics. The food was phenomenal, the bar service was fast and efficient, and the state of the art sound system was exceptional especially important as we hosted a live performance by The Four Tops. It was truly an unforgettable experience, and I look forward to hosting many more events at the Garden Theatre in the future.

The Garden Theatre is amazing. Friends had their wedding and reception here this weekend! The venue is absolutely stunning! The staff actually looked happy, like they actually enjoyed their jobs. The acoustics were perfect! No echo or bouncing! The terrace patio area was quiet and familiar! Garden Theatre thank you for having a diamond in the rough venue!

I loved working with the Garden Theater! As a live illustrator serving weddings and corporate events across the Midwest, I have to say this event was exceptional. The networking event was beautifully organized and thoughtfully executed from every angle. I had the pleasure of working with Amy Ancevski and was so impressed by her professionalism, communication, and attention to detail. I truly hope to collaborate on many more events here in the future.

The Garden Theater was the perfect space for our event! There is a lot of versatility at the venue, which allowed for us to host a private cocktail class, VIP lounge and throw an amazing event with live performances in the main space. We were provided with a great list of vendors to work with who helped bring our event to life and were a pleasure to work with. Everyone on the Garden Theater team was very accommodating and so much fun to work with!

Had a great time at the concert tonight. The staff there were so helpful and got us chairs to use - it's not fun getting older - so we could enjoy the show. The venue is nice, the staff friendly, and parking convenient.

I went to The Garden Theater for a showcase event, and it was set up beautifully. Lots of vendors, food, and drinks, and good entertainment. There is even a "patio" type area outside. Looks like a great place for a show or event.

Great Venue Space in Detroit! This space is great for a wedding to a corporate dinner/party. Located on Woodward there is a parking deck guests can easily access as well as paid street parking. The bar space is large and the staff is quick to tend to guest orders. The catered passed hors d'oeuvres were great and the staff were friendly and professional. (If it is an option for your event order the southwest chicken egg rolls!) The venue space also provides a stage area with a podium and microphone if requested. And for warmer weather the space has a patio area as well!

The Garden Theater is a beautiful and welcome addition to Midtown, and to the local roster of performance venues. It's the perfect size - larger than the Majestic theater across the street, but still small enough to maintain an intimate feel. Dark, simple, and classic is how I'd describe the look of the theater. One bar stretched along the back of the room - the lines can get long for a drink but the bartenders are fast and efficient. It's a little nicer, classier than other venues of comparable size around town. The events hosted here are slightly more upscale and appear to target the mature young professional crowd. Marsha Ambrosius, a Remy Martin tasting expo, the annual Tux and Chucks black tie fundraiser, etc. I don't expect I will be seeing any raucous rock or rap shows on the calendar here. It's connected to the Grille at Midtown (which is excellent), making it easy to grab a drink or a bite before or after a show. The theater can be booked for private events, as well. In addition to the theater itself, there is a clean and spacious lobby as well as some large event rooms upstairs. Parking structure is just on the corner, but I've always been able to find a spot on the street as well. I've enjoyed my experience every time I've been here, and look forward to more shows and events at the Garden Theater to come!

Just had our Christmas party for aprox 300 ppl and the staff was amazing. Plenty of bartenders that no one had to wait and they picked up dishes as soon as they were put down. Everyone was so friendly and had a smile on their face all night. The venue itself was also great and a perfect place to host the Killer Flamingo's. Thank you Staff!

I recently got married at the Garden Theater and I couldn't have asked for a better or more stress-free experience. I did one walk through with my mother and husband when considering venues. We all immediately fell in love with the Garden Theater and booked it the next day. Most people would have thought that planning a wedding in only 6 months would be daunting, but the staff at the Garden Theater made sure that everything went smoothly. They provided other vendor suggestions when needed, made sure that our schedule was coordinated well with their staff, and were attentive the night of the event. They worked incredibly well with all of our other on site vendors to coordinate their arrivals and departures too. Both Amy and BJ were a pleasure to work with. The caterer was incredible - it was actually great wedding food and even as the Bride I got a chance to sit down and eat! The Garden Theater went above and beyond to accommodate any request we had. I couldn't have asked for a better experience because they provided everything we needed and made sure that we had the most special day. I even asked for a last minute lighting change - they made absolutely everything happen! Thank you again to everyone at the Garden Theater for all their hard work and attentiveness, it really showed and we appreciate it.

This venue has the worst bartenders!! They are allowed to actually make the customer wait until they finish a ten minute Facebook/text session on their phone before they serve you a drink. When you try to get the bar staffs attention, they threaten to not serve you??!! Fck this place, Party Dave will not be attending any future events at this location!

We just performed at the Garden Theatre with Mojo a couple weeks ago and I just wanted to send a huge THANK YOU to PHIL on the sound board. He was awesome and a pleasure to work with! It was a great event and the sound was on point, thanks Phil!!!!
