I was at Gardner House with nine other friends for two nights in September. (9/16-9/18/25). My room number 105. Mistakenly, I left my two phone chargers in the room. The hotel notified me that they were left behind. I expected the hotel to send them back to me. After a week or so, on September 30, I called and Andrew answered the phone. He told me that he would give the message to one of the receptionists because they were all busy at the moment. When I didn’t hear back from anyone, I called October 5 and spoke with Alexis. She told me that the manager would be looking into this and they would be returned. On October 17 I spoke with Katrina. She asked the manager, whoever that is/ was I don’t know, about the chargers and the manager told Katrina they were shipped two days ago and claimed there was a tracking number but she (Katrina) didn’t have it. I never received them. I mentioned that I, of course, would pay for the shipping and was told the hotel would charge the credit card I used to book the room. ||The fact is, I was lied to several times. I was so disappointed that this kind of treatment would come from the staff of a supposedly upscale boutique hotel. If the policy of the hotel is not to return chargers, because perhaps many guests do leave them in the rooms by mistake and it just might be too much for the staff to take the time to send them back, why didn’t someone just tell me that in the beginning. I expected more from this hotel, and was very disappointed.
