I visited Garduño’s Restaurant for the first time with my wife. We drove up to the drive-through window and ordered two tostadas mixtas, while my wife ordered three à la carte enchiladas and a large drink. The total came out to $42.00. The tostadas were small and not prepared the way I expected. My wife was told that each enchilada cost $4.50, but the cheese was hard and the sauce overly spicy. To make matters worse, the service was slow and the employee at the window took a long time with our order. Unfortunately, I will not be returning

Their food is the worse I’ve ever tasted! The service is horrible! We waited half hour on drive through for our food and the joint wasn’t even full. That should have been a red flag for me! Never will I ever go there again!!

There used to be a Gardunos on Whittier Blvd. Now I have to travel to El Monte for their delicious food. I ordered the 7 Mares soup. Pure flavor! I've never had such a tasty bowl of soup. It was a good serving that turned into another meal. Hubby got the wet burrito. It was big and packed with meat. Plenty of parking. No wait. Affordable menu. Fast service.

Love this place. Great burritos food is so good. I have eaten here many times so delicious. My burrito was a shredded beef red wet burrito. It was so good, not dry. It also had beans rice lettuce.

We belong to Mountain View Foot and Ankle Care and one of our precious patient wanted to bless us with a meal from this restaurant this past Monday 10/3/2022 he brought all the staff a wet burrito of carne asada in red salsa as my co-worker bit into the burrito she found a waterbug leg. It was disgusting we called the restaurant showed the proof and turned in the burritos so our patient can get his money back. I spoke with Olga the cashier myself and she was going to speak to the boss Thomas Mendoza so our patient can get his money back. So today 10/5/2022 our patient gets denied. They are saying we are not telling the truth. Why would we want to stay on a empty stomach on our lunch break??? We were left hungry and very disappointed 😞 ...Now we have to complain to the health department

Amaaaazing! So good. Original or to say the least, not like every other place out there! Had seafood soup was fantastic. Had a couple tacos and guacamole as well! Kind waitress.

Do they know what “WHERE’S THE BEEF” means first time and will be the last time. Went to drive through. Ordered asada plate and breakfast burrito. The plate had one small piece of meat $12. Burrito was wrapped with foil and two paper wraps looked small before unwrapping after it was tiny $8.If your hungry don’t go here. $25 for this! What a bad choice! If you want asada plate sergios is much better much more! All in all terrible experience felt ripped off

I was referred by the body shop owner for a good lunch joint, and here I am had a very tasty Mexican meal @Garduno's! It's kinda scary driving into the parking lot, as the restaurant doors and windows are all block w/metal fence but it's quite decent once I step in. I ordered: 1) Asada Plate: 3.5-star beans, rice and vid slice of thin beef steak cooked together as of faiita style bell pepper slices. Meat itself is tasty but tough to cut off into pieces. Chips and salsa on aside is a winner indeed: fluffy crisp chips taste as of home made. Salsa is a tad of spicy good! I've tried out their red and green sauce, and I enjoy the green for more flavor in it. 2) Menudo soup: 4-star It's served w/copped onion, lime as well a little cup of chili powder and dried capers. Beef tripes are very tender.

I'm very disappointed with Garduno's regarding today's visit. My Husband and I have been frequenting this location for many years. I never complained about how they started watering down the cheese sauce topping on my wet burrito nor did my Husband complain when they started skimping on the asada contents in his burritos, because everyone has gotten a little chintzy over the years and much more pricey for less. But today I draw the line! We spent nearly $34 on 3 items and this cashier "Olga" as stated on the receipt, only gives us one chili, when I asked for an extra chili, she responded that they were 2 for $1. (Absolutely Ridiculous!) I feel that 3 items - two burritos and 1 taco are deserving of at least 2 chilies and especially when you're spending $34! *** Please keep in mind that my 2 star review is in reference to my experience, the FOOD for this purchase was a 3 1/2 stars if they stopped watering down the cheese sauce it would be a solid 4 stars.

OK, I seen a guy on TikTok was showing this place off so I decided to go. The place is nice and clean. The young lady and guy that were working behind the counter was very friendly. It smell good in inside. We had ordered 6 asada tacos and asada burrito . I'm gonna keep it real with you guys. The taco taste much better than the burrito. Will I be going back yes for the tacos. they have some good red salsa. The green is OK but the red is bomb it bring out the food.

I ordered huevos rancheros, and my boyfriend ordered a oven wet burrito. As soon as we sat down some chips and salsa were brought to the table right away. The oven wet burrito was slathered in a nacho cheese sauce and packed with ingredients. Whatever hot sauce they brought out was fire, I ate it with the nachos. The nachos were freshly fried. The huevos rancheros came with rice and beans and was soooo fire as well. I put some of the chips in and made like a chilaquilles. The Restaraunt itself made me feel like I was in Mexico. It has a lot of charm.

The service is horrible the people who take your order are uninterested at best but usually pretty mean like you ruined their day walking in. Food is greasy and they can't even heat the tortillas all the way. I have been there as well as family and we all have had the same experience. I will from now on NEVER recommend this place to anyone I come across working basically next door.

Really high prices. Super burrito is $17.99!! Service is ok. Inside is ok. Salsas and food are really spicy hot. Chips are ice cold. You'd think for those prices chips would be hot. $46.00 ($6 tip) for 1 burrito, 1 breakfast, 2 iced teas

This was a staple in my and my boys life for years when they were little...I really wanted to give it 5stars,but sadly,I couldn't...it was lacking in so many areas...everything looked good as looks went,but alotta things changed over time,the salsa was very old,seemed like it was made last week,we didn't eat it. The chips were ice cold too,so hard,I was scared I'd break a tooth,and no refills here guys...on anything! And for your FYI...Large soda was $3.99...not even 1 refill allowed,you had to pay more...really? At that steep a price,$3 99.. (($4 bucks))... really?!!....I felt at least 1refill should be allowed... And no refill on the chips too,they will sell you a bag of chips,'BUT NO REFILLS." No big loss,back in the day,the chips were fresh fried,and hot, set on your table,that's what we expected, these weren't even set under a hot lamp,just hard and cold,I mean,how hard is it to fry up fresh chips at a Mexican restaurant?!! That's a given,most are great and fresh,not these,they served us stale cold and with old salsa...our salsa served looked like it had been served to another table first,and we got what they didn't finish...look at the picture I posted,it looked used,and we didn't even touch it. Looks can be deceiving tho,I liked the rice,beans were ok too...but the wet burrito needed sourcream a lil guacamole,and more meat for $13 bucks! I was highly disappointed to say the least,my son said the meat was dark and tuff,lettuce had old leaves in it,nothing to say about much here except,'We WONT BE BACK."honestly, the food needs massive improvement, and the owner should think about a 1 refill rule, or lower the prices,'SERIOUSLY! When we got there it was 12:40pm. lunch time should be a very busy time at a restaurant, there was not one other customer in the place... and I didn't wonder why after the food served to us...we were warned by the chips and salsa.. our bill was $35.00...We wen't to get something else from our usual place we like... And most went into a,'TO Go" container. So much for the memories. At this point I guess you figured out... ,"I DO NOT RECOMMEND." ((To who is in charge... Keep driving, don't let the legendary Garduno's name fool you. Not sure where all the other locations ended up but this one is horrible. Breakfast burrito is mostly potatoes and ambiance is dungeon-like.

Probably one of the top 3 wet burritos I've had in LA. Sauce is super tasty: savory, a little salty, tangy and not too spicy. Staff is always friendly and my orders have always been accurate.

Every once in a while I come back to this hole in the wall to order an all meat wet burrito with cheese sauce. Sadly, these past few visits have been disappointing. When cutting into my burrito I always see beans and rice... customer service is great but I can not come back for credit. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF BURRITOS JUST DO IT RIGHT. I just want what I've paid for or at least an easy refund for the "all meat" that I didn't get. 2 all meat oven burritos with 8 red salsas costs about $37 btw! First incident was through Postmates back in Feb but I received an instant refund on the incorrect item with pictures. This time around I went through drive thru and was offered some credit (not a set amount) for my next visit. Staff seemed super friendly and willing to assist but can only do so much over the phone. I'm not giving up on you yet Gardunos! Please take care of me in the near future.

I was a little scared to try this place out for years. Finally I tried it and oh man this place is awesome. The food was excellent and filling for a low price. They were fast to serve chips and salsa. They brought out the lunch within minutes and it was as fresh as can be. I'm surprised this place isn't more packed during lunch, a lot of people are missing out on a hidden gem.

My brother introduced this place to me earlier this year and I've been a fan ever since. I've gone there about three times now and always get the wet burrito covered with cheese, which is what I believe they are known for. I do wish they could drown it with more cheese though. I always order mines with no beans, so the inside of mines is less filling than normal. The size is enough for me to eat twice though, but my bf could eat his in one sitting. They also toss in fresh tortilla chips and they taste pretty good. I would just dip it in the cheese sauce from the burrito.

Great burrito at a decent price. No complaints, glad I stopped over while staying at the hotel across the street.

The place has a drive through, which is convenient. Fast and affordable food. The famous cheese wet burrito was decent. Good sauce on top. They also give a side of chips and they were fresh and crispy.

I just ordered the 4 rolled taquitos for delivery. These were terrible! They were obviously once frozen. The meat was strange. The salsa tasted very old. Terrible experience. And a huge waste of my money!!!

So I did order quesadillas with Asada. There is a lot oily. Also I don't feel well and I think I might get throw up. I feel like it's not fresh. So I won't come back ever again!

Me and my brother stumbled into this place cause we both wanted something different to eat and we weren't too sure what to think about this place at first, menu on the wall like many others locations but then the host gave us a run down of the menu. Just like my brother's to order the same thing. They have a couple different versions of a wet burrito and we had the mild version and over all the burrito was well purport-ion and the sauce was really good too. The atmosphere felt a bit lost but if you want to have good food and watch a game on the tube, check out this local place.

This place is a must visit for their amazing food and the service! I have been meaning to check out this place and I am glad I did. Not only do they have spacious indoor seating, but they also have a drive-thru. The service is top-notch and I truly had an excellent experience here. My personal favorite is the Molcajete, but the oven burritos are also delicious. I plan to come again soon!

Food was cold, they charge you for everything. I'm surprised napkins were free. The food used to be great 5 years ago. Never coming back.

The parking is spacious, and the inside is very welcoming, as well as the service. Smiles all around. The chips & salsa were very tasty. I ordered the enchiladas and the ceviche. It was very good very delicious. I will definitely be coming back here again and again and again.

Love there California burritos plus they have a drive which is very convenient. Will stop by again when I'm back in El Monte. Thanks for the great food and service!

Came back and oven burritos are back to normal size the cheese is like before and the they brought back the pico de gallo oh also their red salsa back to normal. Yeey.

Wow! If you've been on the hunt for the best nachos in the Los Angeles area like I have been, then look no further! I happened to stumble upon this little gem with a couple of friends one day and fell in love with the place! I've been known to drive all across town for Garduno's. I'm no food critic, but I am positive this is the home of the best nachos in the whole city! Ambience: Garduno's is a great family-friendly restaurant. One of my biggest complaints of restaurants is the lack of personal space (either in terms of seating arrangements or in terms of space on the table). At Garduno's, however, there is so much space for each party and every customer! I was really impressed by how much room I had. I often visit restaurants with friends for our book clubs, so it's nice to find a restaurant where my friends and I can eat while having plenty of room (for our books and our margaritas! HAHA). There's just enough noise to keep the energy alive (the margaritas also help) and the venue is warm and inviting. Garduno's truly feels like a restaurant designed for families BY families. Food: From an aesthetic standpoint, the food is always presented in a top-notch manner. However, no one ever has enough time to take a good picture of the meals because it all ends up being eaten almost as soon as the plates hit the tables; the smell is just too intoxicating! I highly recommend the oven burrito and the nachos. The California Burrito is...truly an immaculate dish. The nachos, especially, were priced very well and were so filling! I can normally eat my weight in food, so that's saying something! Service: The best thing about Garduno's, however, is the service. Based on other reviews, I think the restaurant is under new management. All I can say is: the owners and staff are so friendly! Once you visit a few times, they know your go-to order and once you get to know them, they really become your close friends! I'm so glad Garduno's has been operating even during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their drive-thru is a blessing! I just wish I lived a bit closer so I could try everything on the menu a bit more easily!

Food was just okay. My drink tasted watered down. The service was awful , the lady didn't greet me and was so rude to me the entire time.

Oven baked burrito, the cheese and salsa are to die for. They serve other stuff but this burrito and a giant michelada cup are all you need. The credit card policy is that you need to spend $20 and up or cash only. It's a small place under new management. The interior could use a face lift including the restrooms but the food is great and that's really what I'm rating.

Had breakfast and it was awful. First, they give a half-full basket of chips and the smallest amount of salsa. When I asked for more they said the had to charge me for them. Once I got my food it had no flavor and I didn't have any salsa to put on my food. The menudo was like water. The bowl was half full. When we asked why the could was half full they replied" This is our portion size". I would not recommend it! It's sad because it use to be good, but now it is tasteless and overpriced with no hospitality.

Ordered two veggie burritos via Grubhub for delivery from this place. They gave the poor driver the wrong order. It looks so bad we couldn't even eat it and asked Grubhub for a full refund which they provided us with. Thank you Grubhub! This was my first and last time doing business with this place.

This was my first time coming here and let me say the food was very delicious. Also every single worker was very nice and well mannered, Our server Nena was also very kind and well mannered I will definitely be coming back. Thank you Nena and all of you guys for your great service

Reasons why you guys should pay a visit.... 1) Love hole in the walls? This place is for you. This place looks really nice in the inside compared to the outside. 2) Fast and friendly service. Staffers are very attentive and will give you great recommendations. 3) Who doesn't love economical breakfast, lunch and dinners. They have specials almost every day and I encourage you to come for the their happy hour ... 3pm-7pm every day!! They offer $2 beers and $.99 tacos! Plus, you get a basket of unseasoned tortilla chips! If you want more flavor, just apply lime juice on them. 4) Great place to watch sport games. They even show Dodger games! Direct tv, and non-cable/satelite providers would love this place! Reasons why you might not? 1) If you dine in, it is a bit warm. They have ceiling fans, but didn't really cool me down as much. Compensate by drinking a cold beer or train your mind to think the place is nice and cool. 2) Expect to have some flies landing on you

Their performance on Uber Eats has been a catastrophe. That's two orders in a row they've messed up -- royally. Also, their nachos have the kind of cheese sauce you get at a baseball stadium. No, thanks.

I always come here with my boyfriend since it's a half an hour away from our house, but lately the couple of times We have been attended by this girl (with black hair and glasses) who is rude! Last time she looked mad while taking our order didn't seem she likes her job and today I asked for a pastor burrito, which on my receipt It said Asada when I told her about it she said "oh yeah I know I told the lady in the back already " and rolled her eyes. Honestly I love the food here just try to fix the issue with the girl.

Been wanting to check out this place, I think is also historical landmark. Anyway the food was great and the staff was really helpful!!! I got the fish tacos and shrimp tacos which were bomb!!!! I was supposed to take a picture but when the food showed up I totally forgot lol Anyway try this place out it's pretty good!

I have yelp this place before and I wasn't very happy with it but give it a few more stars and what I'm giving it now. The reason why I'm giving it one star is because management and staff has downgraded so much. Let me get to the point we ordered she leave her there nachos but didn't want the chili Verde on top of the nachos because we were traveling so we asked for it on the side they wanted to charge us one dollar extra for the small little container that comes with it. They wanna charge you for everything I'm surprised they don't charge you for a straw. The quality of food has gone down so much this place should've closed down when Covid hit this is the worst place ever I do not recommend coming here.

Long time customer who got sick off their oven burritos on 08/10/22 . I picked up one for myself and another family member and we both ended up throwing up in the middle of the night. We've had the burritos here for years and never had this issue. Didn't want to post this but I don't want anyone else to get sick like we did. It's definitely the burrito since we have way different diets on the daily basis and only had the burrito in common for the day. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else

Though they have items labeled vegan on the menu, they are not sensitive to vegans. This is my experience with non-vegan restaurants. Somehow when I ordered the vegan burrito they heard vegetarian. Frankly I don't see how that happened as the words do not sound alike. So after arriving home and discovering the mistake, I had to return to the restaurant for an exchange. Though I am not one to ask for compensation for mistakes, they should have comped my order. My time was wasted by having to make an extra trip back to the restaurant and my dinner guest were kept waiting. Also the food was mediocre at best. I trashed half of it. This was my first time at this restaurant, most definitely my last. Also beware of the drive thru speaker, it's extremely loud and harsh sounding.

Horrible customer service from the man working the cash register . Since we got there it looked like he was stressed out and didn't know what he was doing. Put someone that could handle it! Oh and no wonder you have such a bad rating.

This place is just bad. Our first experience was great, ordered off of grub hub. Order was correct, food tasted delicious, they were a bit stingy with the sauces but we overlooked that. 2nd time, got our food everything was cold... we blamed it on the driver, they were still stingy with the sauces, no big deal just heated some things up. Next couple of times they completely butchered our orders, paid absolutely no attention to special requests. I always order no avocado or guacamole because I'm allergic, and it was smothered all over everything, almost as if it was hilariously intentional. After all the bad experiences we avoided the place..... Until yesterday. Out of our own laziness and craving for tortas (bad combo) we ordered from here again through grub hub.... 10 minutes later, we get a notification that the order is cancelled. My boyfriend called to see what was up and the lady on the phone simply said "Oh yeah, we got the order, but we're busy," and hung up. It's safe to say these people are clearly not happy with having a business. Must be a money laundering scheme gone wrong, due to someone actually making good food on occasion.

I'm not shocked that this restaurant, is getting a one review from me..... There are many things wrong with this place, First, This isnt current style "Mexican food." Their cooking style is stuck in the 80s to early 90s. Food taste like cafeteria food at best. Third, their pick up to go service is from one to 10, a 4.5.... Owner really needs to hire better staff and treat her restuarant with more seriousness. I waited an extra 15 minutes for my food, because, it hadn't even been made yet upon my arrival. Funny thing is, I already know this place is slow for preparing orders bigger than two individual meals..... I recommended taking my advice as a fore warning, go try this merchant yourself. WET BURRITO! I love the original one, not the verde one. Ask for extra chips so you can scoop up all that cheese sauce! Yay: -Wet burrito: you won't regret it. The cheese sauce on top is just perfect for the burrito. It's like a burrito nacho hybrid. -Shrimp cocktail: this was so bomb and refreshing I was drinking it after I was done with the shrimp and veggies. They give you a good amount of shrimp and avocado pieces for the price. -Nachos deluxe: I love sour cream and guacamole and my nachos so this is perfect. Good for more than two people to share if you're ordering another entree. -Hard tacos: I've only gotten the carnitas and it was fully loaded. A giant serving of carnitas in each taco. Other: -Heineken: super skunky. I think it's been sitting out too long. -Micheladas: I like that they give you the rest of the bottle to top it off but the original pouring has too much tomato juice in it.

Signs on the door said credit card accepted, but another sign hidden near the cashier said cash only. I did not notice until i was about to place my order and after making a remark, the cashier said $20 minimum for card. So be aware of this misleading advertisement. Like many of the other review mentioned, the cashier/waitress is unfriendly. Order exactly is on the menu board or she won't understand- she stares blankly at the screen until you correct yourself. I regret ordering the oven burrito and nacho and wish I had check other reviews before placing the order. The cheese sauce was nonsense. Many, many, many MANY authentic Mexican restaurants would not do this. I was expecting real melted cheese on my nacho , but instead got blob of tasteless cheese sauce and small sprinkle of shredded cheese. The meat tasted weird, there were some wilylted lettuce, dried beans and sour gauc. Same sad sauce with the burrito. Other places would use a red or green sauce. Not here, its a mixture of some read sauce with... nacho cheese sauce. I have not tried the burrito because of the sauce and the way the nacho tasted. Ruined the whole experience. The picture on display looks promising, but I wish I had check with thw reviews before ordering. Overall, not impress with this place. It waa busy, service was crappy, but food came out quick and portion were generous. I guess they arw trying to get rid of the food before it spoils!

Old school since 1941. They have a lot on their menu so I opted for one of their popular specialties the Oven Burrito. I ordered the Chili Verde burrito with an Horchata, this is what I usually order at all the Mexican restaurants so I can always compare the quality of each one. The plate came with the burrito, beans, rice, and a basket full of house made chips. I requested the hottest chili and the lady brought me two different types, stating the green one is usually hot and this one in the red bottle is sometimes hot. I was confused because why wouldn't she know which one burns the hell out of your mouth. The end result the food was okay, kind of Americanized to me, and the chili was not hot at all, which disappointed me.
