Garfield Park farmers market is filled with the best vendors: vegetables, meats, baked goods, flowers, tea & coffee, home goods, and more. There are many food options as well, both to eat on the spot and take home options. Mother Noble’s is an every time visit for me!

Google
A French colleague recommended this farmers market for its high quality and flavorful produce. Baked goods, meat, cheese etc all available. A bit expensive but a very friendly and inviting place. Dogs are welcome. Plenty of parking. Parks is lovely too and nice to stroll. I suggest you come early for the best selection. Open 9 to noon.

Google
A great Saturday morning farmers market. Love the garden vegetables, bakery food, mushrooms, and more... we try to get there every week.

Google
Love this market and look forward to it every year. I just wish some of the shoppers, like the ones in the photo were a lot more courteous as these two have no idea what the word even means or know how to be good humans. They were rude and selfish.

This may be a smaller market, but it sure is mighty! My favorite aspect (besides the wonderful vendors) is how SNAP and WIC friendly this market is. A few times throughout the summer market the WIC office comes out and helps the women and children with farmers market checks what help the farmers get their food into more people's bellies. The market master/manager is always super friendly and helpful. Another awesome aspect is it's open until 12:30 when most other markets close earlier. This is awesome for this those whom just can't make it earlier. Thanks for having such a wonderful farmers market that truly cares about the people. We love you!

Kenny Banks Trio Jr. + Kenny Phelps and Nick Tucker open Garfield Park Jazz Fest! Meanwhile back at the Farmers Market found these interesting juices. Pictured below is the ginger beer, three other flavors... Unique flavoring, but all of them remarkably incredibly refreshing. Recommend:-)

Google
Big farmer’s market with a lot of choices from the usual plants and food vendors to unique vendors of mushrooms! Remain cautious with some food vendors and their small portions! I love the live music available and Garfield park is just a great park to walk in. I highly suggest going!!

Google
I love this farmers market! Experienced strong wheelchair users could handle it or someone being pushed. Plenty of booths to satisfy whatever you are looking for. More prepared foods than other farmers markets in the area!

Yelp
Another Saturday morning finding great local produce and handmade items. If you know where the Garfield Park Conservatory is it's kind of caddy corner to it. You can see the conservatory from the market. They have lots of vendors at this one. A little kids area to draw also. Illumine Coffee Company has great iced coffees! Harker Family Orchard is one of the Featured Farmers for the Indiana State Fair this year, Hobbit Gardens Earth Gatherings Center has herbs as well as amazing salves for all sorts of things! I bought a couple of them and they're great! The insect repellent works! Cakes by Chew had a great iced lemon bar and much more. Flying Dirt Farm has amazingly beautiful floral bouquets. McCarthy Gardens has great produce and the lady even handed me a recipe for the garlic I had bought! How nice! Send a Friend Lasagna, My Dad's Sweet Corn, Helm Coffee Roasters, Garfield Honey Co., and Mother Noble are a few of the 50+ vendors they have. It's a rain or shine event from 9-12:30 on Saturdays from May-October. Plus, if you haven't visited the conservatory it's really pretty inside and close. Plus, Cafe Babette isn't that far from here either. Great pastries there!

Yelp
I don't visit this area often, so as a first time visitor to this farmers market, I really enjoyed it. The park atmosphere was great. The prepared food vendors made for a great excuse to add a picnic to our visit. They have a lot of prepared food vendors, including a couple produce vendors. It wasn't too busy when they opened, we easily found street parking.

Yelp
I love this market! We have been coming here off and on for years but haven't been back for some time. I'm glad to see they are still going strong and even seem a. It expanded from previous seasons. The vendors range from fresh cut flowers to meats and cheeses as well as local produce, honey, breads and beverages. There are two food trucks with one serving coffee and the other sandwich type options. Several of the vendors were also making food. We purchased a vegan apple pancake from Leo's which was amazing! The blackberry sauce was the perfect combo on it, and it was so light yet filling. The price was reasonable as well for the large portion that you received. Other vendors had hand crafted soaps and options for chemical free items for house cleaning etc. one farm was selling plants and seeds as well as some herbs. My other favorite was Native Bread which is vegan and gluten free! Yummy stuff too! They bring their scones and cookies to the market but you have to get there early to purchase those. I love all their loaf options and even got some vegan cheesy croutons to try. No matter what you are looking for this is a spot to try as you can find almost anything here to try at home or eat right there. As we left there was a fun band playing which added a festival ambience. Plenty of picnic tables and shady spots to enjoy as well, so next time we plan to go and grab food and sit to enjoy the atmosphere.

Yelp
One of our favorite seasonal activities! Today was the first market of the year. It has grown over the years and has tons of great vendors. Several options for hot breakfast, coffee, and tea. They also have vendors serving juice and other beverages. Ample produce stands, local meats, and fresh flowers available. Our favorite item is the corn from My Dads Sweet Corn which won't be available for another month or so. We go almost every Saturday and would highly recommend.

Yelp
Here is your assignment for the weekend... Get the chai from the chai vendor at the beginning of the walk from Shelby. The rose chai is great. The standard chai iced is spicy. Buy some spicy or mild kimchi from the Korean ladies at True Kimchi. You can also buy some seasonal kimchi including bok choi kimchi. Buy some duck eggs, lamb stew meat, or goose quarters from Heritage Farms. Finally, buy some white peaches from Harkers farm.

Yelp
What an incredible way to purchase amazing goods and spend quality time with the family! There were so many amazing things!! We left with plants, Waygu beef, handmade soaps, mushrooms, tea, and more!! The music also added to the awesome atmosphere!!

Yelp
The Garfield Park farmers market is smaller than some others but it's packed full of goodies. I have been several times over the years and always find something fresh. The vendors are friendly and helpful. There is ample parking nearby and it's always a great excuse to walk around the park.

Yelp
This was my 1st visit to the Farmers Market. They have a really nice selection of vendors. Everything from flavored sauerkrauts to CBD teas. We picked up items from the following: Natures Tea Company the Mango Mojito tea is excellent. Meta Garden Ferments has the sauerkraut but we went with the cheesy sourdough bread. Mother Nobles has lots of different breads and cinnamon rolls. Definitely bring your own bags as you'll probably buy more than you thought you would. Being in the park spend the morning by checking out the conservatory. It's beautiful!

Yelp
Nice farmers market. We went for the Master Gardner Plant Sale and we were very disapointed. Lucky the Farmers Market was going on. I found a couple plants there. One Yellow Tomato and one Cherry Tomato . They had a big variety of baked goods , honey, meats, plants and dog treats.

Yelp
Just east of the main Garfield Park entrance, this market is small, friendly and has one of most of your farmer's market expectations, but not all of the local artisans we're used to sing at larger markets. Never fear you can stock up on MANY locally made and grown goods here. During COVID pandemic, there are masks, 6 ft reminder signs and sanitizing stations in addition to the precautions each individual booth may take. 4 stars is just to indicate that this market is growing... Doesn't have everything the bigger markets do, yet. Certainly come check it out...a great way to avoid busier markets and longer lines all in a beautiful Indy Park!

Yelp
I want to give it a 3.5 stars, but I'll round up in that the idea of this market is to offer fresh, local products to the FS / Garfield Park area. Compared to other markets in the city, this one is not my favorite and doesn't fare well with others? Why not? As a whole, this one just doesn't have that "community" feeling like many others have. It's never very crowded, I'll add. So that can be a plus for many! In terms of the vendors, they have a nice mix of prepared foods, beverages, a food truck, and local farmers (honey/bee products; fresh veggies; kombucha; etc.). I hope that they add some music soon, as I feel that really ties the farmers markets well that I've been to in the past. It's a nice market. Has some work to do, but it's a great offering for the neighborhood. More people just need to go to it!

Yelp
I love this Farmer's market! My only comparison is Bloomington (which is huge) and one small one I found on the have north side. First of all, it is located in the most beautiful park in the city - Garfield Park! Visit the Sunken Garden or one of the many other places within the park. There is ample parking and you can park right next to the market, or on busy days, only a short walk away! There is often two food trucks - once I had rabbit nachos that were delicious. They almost always have general American donuts with donuts and coffee. Other coffee and tea vendors are here as well. My go tos are the first produce table for apples, then Amelia's right next to it for fresh bread, then the stand next to them for jelly and jams + catnip, and then Momma's almost at the end for granola, jam, and banana bread. But many other folks are great, including the two cheese vendors!

Yelp
This has become our favorite farmers market to go to in Indy. There aren't as many vendors as the Broad Ripple market or some of the others but what they lack in quantity they make up in quality. The Garfield Farmers Marker requires their vendors to abide by the SLO standards. Sustainable Local Organic. They wont let vendors bring produce from other parts of the country. They check that the vendors pay their employees fair wages and don't allow for GMO or pesticides to be used on produce sold on site. There are a few produce vendors, kombucha, bread, oils and some others in attendance every week. The crowd never gets too crowded and what we love the most is that we can go for a nice walk before or after through the park. It is defiantly a much more chill envorinemat there than some of the other markets. I suggest everyone checking it out for themselves to see if it would be a good spot for your regular farmers market outing.

Yelp
What a great Farmers Market!! No need to go up to the "Northside" anymore everything you need is all right here in Garfield Park!! It has gotten much larger than in years past and is even bigger than the original downtown farmers market! I will always make a point to head to the park on Saturday's when the Market is running! Get there early if you want some of the good stuff, often vendors sell out! Always nice to see the bubble man making larger than life bubbles that are sure to please the kids! What a family-friendly market! Can't wait for next season and some of that delicious Dad's Sweet Corn from Tipton!

Yelp
I had never had the chance to stumble upon Garfield Park-and I say stumble because this beautiful oasis is smack in the middle of the near south side and not part of my usual route. What a loss for me and YOU! Not only is this park incredibly gorgeous, but the market is great! Fresh produce Crafty stuff Diverse families Reasonable prices While my local market is still #1 in my heart, I would definitely make the drive to Garfield Park again. And build in some time for a walk around the grounds!

Yelp
I would rate this farmers market a 3.5, but they get extra points because it's in Garfield Park (amazing) and offer local products. Unfortunately there weren't many vendors which was disappointing. It was a very small market and not many people. The best part was General American Doughnut stand. They had doughnuts and coffee. Overall there are better farmers market options in Indianapolis but I'm glad this exist for the area.

Yelp
A big shout out to Ashley Brooks for bringing this farmers market to life. I'm embarrassed at how long it took me to finally make a visit given the market's proximity to my home. If you haven't ever visited Garfield Park, you're missing out. This southside staple is home to a pool, conservatory (so fun! $2 entrance), tennis courts and a sunken garden that is ideal for weddings and events. We sprinkled our money along each of the stalls and ended up rolling home with smoked ham from Turchetti, bread from Amelia's, sparkling teas (fundraiser for the market), tomatoes and pineapple shaved ice topped with sweetened condensed milk from Sno-balls (new-ish food truck). During the weekend we visited, there were around 12-15 vendors with about 80% serving up produce or prepared foods like kettle corn. This makes for a great few hour visit to the park with all of the other attractions on-site. Fingers crossed I can squeeze in one more visit before they close up shop at the end of October.

Yelp
We are so lucky to have this market in our neighborhood. Fresh veggies, great baked goods, farm made products are all within steps of the Fountains of Garfield Park.

Yelp
I love Garfield Park and I love farmers Markets. Put them together and it equals happiness. It was a bit cloudy today but the temperature was right and the produce was out. We bought some micro greens, honey and kombuca. And some delicious tea. This is a great place for a farmers market because you really can make a day out of it.
google avatar

Ntinyari M.

Yelp
I went on opening day of the season so there wasn't much produce. Tons of herbs, sprouts (or microgreens), and seeds to choose from. I'm glad I went early because it was became very crowded beginning at 10:30ish.

Yelp
This is my go to summer farmers market. A good amount of vendors without being overwhelming. A really nice location that's easy to reach whether you're walking, biking or driving (or via the redline, although I haven't tested that out, either way, don't drive if you can avoid it). You can get a cup of coffee or tea at a couple of spots. There's also some prepared food available. And of course, there's the seasonal produce. I don't really have any specific vendors I'm loyal too, but you will be able to find whatever you need.

Yelp
I am so excited that the near Southeast side finally got their very own farmer's market! Thanks to the help of the neighborhood association and other local businesses, the residents of Garfield Park and surrounding areas have a farmer's market located near the tennis courts in Garfield Park. My hubs Andrew D. and I decided to visit this past Saturday to check out the new market in town. I was super impressed. There was everything from fresh produce to meats, kettle corn to apple sauces and ciders with mustards and a vendor selling savory waffles and sandwiches. We tried a bit of everything. The kettle corn was super delicious-try the cheddar...omg. That tasty (so was the maple)...but you know, you can't eat it all...or can you? It's a challenge! Batch No. 2 was there with their saucy mustards and condiments (get it?? buahaha) Pleasant Street produce was there selling starters for your snazzy urban garden and a variety of other places with local produce and meats. I purchased a 4 lb. container of lard and this adorable pet food supplement from a butcher (blanking on the name!! If I see it, I'll edit my review). The lard was reasonably priced and the supplement was all the extra bits and pieces ground up for your dog or cat's pleasure. I'll definitely be back to support my local farmer's market. It's a great spot with parking and guess what?! You're in one of the best parks in the city. You've got the Conservatory and Sunken Gardens to meander through before or after and the entire park with the pool, trails, and amazing playground. My only suggestion is a bike rack nearby. But hey, that's ok. I can manage!!

Yelp
I've had this market on my to visit list forever!!! Today was the day. I was expecting there to be more vendors. It could have been the weather as this is the year of rain!!! However the vendors that decided to brave the weather, their selections impressed me. We purchased keto deserts, veggies and a selection of meats. Prices were so reasonable!!! There were fresh flours, breads, and even a doggie bakery. We definitely be visiting again soon.
