"Lauded as one of the most highly regarded Cabernet Sauvignon producers in the region, this winery boasts deep family roots. Husband and wife Jeff and Valerie Gargiulo founded their establishment in the early nineties after more than a decade prior of inspiration and coaching from Valerie’s cousins, who were esteemed Napa wine makers. Over the years they pursued their quest to create incredible wine from their now two vineyard locations in Oakville–a hands-on operation that consists of Jeff, Valerie, daughter April, and son-in-law Mitch. (Fun fact: April is the founder of the best-selling, cult-favorite serum Vintner's Daughter.)"

We had an incredible experience at Gargiulo during our first trip to Napa! Friends of ours are members and recommended it to us and it turned out to be one of the top highlights of our trip! Lucas made the experience so relaxed and fun - we wanted to just stay and hang out all day! The wine is top notch and far superior than some of the bigger names in the valley!

Sue was awesome. She complimented the atmosphere created by the owners. Great cheese and wine pairing in an old building created by an old bridge and old school gymnasium floor.

This is a “Must Have” wine in my house… In Atlanta! Having a bottle now…maybe 2, celebrating the fact that I just paid off my Student Loans!

Amazing experience. Small intimate venue. Wonderful people guide you through the tasting experience.

Google
Not only was the view one of the best in the valley, the wines and our host Sue made it intimate and personal. The wine is amazing and we can't wait to uncork a bottle at home.

Sue was just as fabulous as the wine! She shared history, walked us around the beautiful grounds, and took pictures for us! Thank you, Sue, for a memorable experience and sharing delicious wines with us!

If you are looking for a personal wine tasting then this place is highly recommended. Lucas was very personable and we had a great time. Wine was great as well.

Yelp
Loving these smaller vineyards. Their attention to detail, finesse in sharing their stories, the intimate settings, and their delicious wines. We were even running late, and they still accommodated us. Definitely check it out next visit to Napa.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE smaller wineries like this one! Lucas was our host and he did a fantastic job showing us around the property and telling us about the wines. They only had 4 to try since they sold out of the rest but they were delicious (wasn't a huge fan of the Chardonnay but that's probably just me since I don't usually like Chardonnays, but the reds were solid so I took a few bottles home!). We did most of the tasting outside overlooking the beautiful vines while eating some delicious cheese and charcuterie which came with the tasting. The view was maybe the best of our entire weekend. I would allocate about an hour if you are visiting. Highly recommend!

Yelp
An almost hidden gem on the valley floor. Absolutely beautiful and welcoming. Get away from the fray and commercially large in your face wineries...Relax for a true wine country experience. Make your appointment and enjoy. Cheers!

Yelp
This place is GORGEOUS! The wine is amazing. The host were wonderful and added to such a great time. This place was a hidden gem for us and we can't wait to go back.

Yelp
One of best and most iconic wineries in California. Visited this year for harvest and loved the wines. The Cabernet from one of their estate properties Money Road is not only great but reasonably priced for the high quality. They winery itself is beautiful and tasting staff completely professional and fun. Was able to try some of their high end wines and loved them. Especially the OVX Cabernet that is allocated. Super tour and experience. .

Yelp
This was our favorite winery visited during our honeymoon. Our host, Matt, made it feel very intimate to us while showing us the vineyard and production area. Their wines were also amazing. We are looking forward to going back.

Yelp
Gargiulo Vineyards was recommended to me by a friend, and it did not disappoint. This was my first trip to Napa Valley, visiting from Texas with my husband, and the experience at Gargiulo could not have been more incredible. Sue was an amazing host, and even took the time to help us get the perfect picture to use on our Christmas cards this year. The property is absolutely beautiful and picturesque, with plenty of space inside and out to fit whatever you are looking for. We had perfect weather on our trip, so we opted for a cozy table on the deck overlooking the grounds. I booked our tasting about 6 weeks in advance, and we got their last available appointment for that day (I believe she said that they only do 6 appointments per day), so I definitely recommend planning ahead. We were told that there are only 2 appointments at a time, which makes the experience very intimate, and they do not take groups over 6 (if I remember correctly). The wine was delicious, we joined the club :) And definitely look forward to visiting again!

Yelp
A typical annoying Napa winery that pretends towards exclusivity wherein they are actually disguising their poor service quality within the gilded of shade of small batches. The servers go out of their way to obfuscate and annoy.

Yelp
Our absolute favorite wine tasting of this most recent trip to Napa in February! Our friends recommended this winery, so I made a reservation for the four of us to visit. We did our tasting in the upstairs music room and it was so chill and relaxing. Our wine guide was amazing and truly educated us on their wines. We went home with a few bottles of Aprile and an intention to come back again soon. Definitely a must visit while in the Napa Valley!

Yelp
The Gargiulo's were the winery that was paired with the Enrique Olvera dinner over at Meadowood during the 11th of the 12days of Xmas there. Though their wines are solid on their own, I wasn't quite sure that they were the best match for the cuisine. Though the Chardonnay with the Tamal de Frijol y Hoja de Aguacate was stellar. G Major 7 and barbacoa was an ok match, though it seemed to be touted by everyone else. Again, a solid wine maker that needs some judicious thinking to match with food.

Yelp
Small high end boutique winery. The appointment system insures a personal experience and a chance to fully get to know the winery's philosophy. Thanks to Garrett for making us feel like we were part of the family.

Yelp
I just love coming to this vineyard - it's small and can be a bit hard to find off Oakville Cross, but it's so worth the trip. The family and their staff are so friendly, it's hard not to like it based on sheer personal appeal alone. That the wines are just great too speaks to their dedication to their craft. The tasting room is well appointed (rustic chic), and the turkish pistachios are rave-worthy. On my last trip here, I wasn't able to snag an appointment because they were booked up well in advance, but they accommodated my plea to stop by and snag a few bottles. Sue (their customer relations mgr) was very pleasant even though we got there a bit earlier than anticipated and interrupted a tasting session -- and even gave our small party pours of the Aprile to enjoy while we walked around the grounds to wait for her to free up. Definitely looking forward to my next trip back for a proper tasting of the new releases, and introducing more of my friends to this gem as well.

Yelp
OK.....Now we have a new favorite winery. Gargiulo Winery. Sue our host was fantastic. She escorted us on a tour of the grounds and production area and explained what made this winery so unique. Our private tasting was so delightful.......fell in love with the tasting room and the wines. Sue had a special way of explaining things that made us feel so comfortable.. Loved all the wines and needless to say we are taking home a collection. We'll return someday for sure! Don't forget to take some photos. Stunning grounds.

Yelp
This is a really lovely property and the tasting room is well thought out & comfortable. We had a short tour into the vineyard, tasted grapes from the vine, and walked through the barrel room with an informative guide. This was a nice little tour to start the day. We were served some light snacks with the tasting, also very nicely presented. The cabs are big; unfortunately, they are also a bit hotter than I tend to prefer (just below 15%). I recommend this winery, plan to spend at least 1.5 hours here, the experience is well worth the $25 fee. By appointment only.

Yelp
If you're lucky enough to get a tasting appointment here, don't miss the opportunity. They make incredible quality wines (the G Major 7 and OVX specifically). The property is beautiful and the tasting and intimate tour setting is ideal. Staff is great!

Yelp
This was a fantastic way to start off my friends' and my trip to Napa. Sipping wine while hearing about the land under the Napa sun from Bob, our host, was just near perfect before heading in to see the barrels..and then to the tasting room to try the rest of the selections. The wine was tasty, but the atmosphere was even better. The tasting room was comfortable and well-designed and I can say I had the best pistachios I've ever had...along with a nice bit of cheese and breadsticks. I definitely recommend this place--but keep in mind that you have to make reservations before you go! They also have a great patio. I can see having a nice private party there (which was actually being set up as we left!).

Yelp
The Gargiulo Vineyard is a prime example of the passion that is bleeding out of Napa. Every ounce of their efforts are used to make gorgeous wines. The Gargiulo family is very hospitable and the grounds are beautiful. The tasting room's design is breath taking. From the use of the old St. Helena's Basketball Courts hard wood floor to the unique light fixtures. I would describe it as cozy chic. There is also an array of the most amazing custom made guitars in the tasting room that they urge you to play. These guitars makes even the most novice guitar player sound stellar. April Gargiulo is one of the nicest people you will meet in the valley. She will guide you through the history and the story of her Families estate. The wine is stellar and the grapes are grown on some of the best land in napa (its neighboring screaming eagle). The vineyard dog Lily is also one of the sweetest pups youll meet. Vineyards like this is what makes me yearn to go back to Napa.

Yelp
Wow! Winery/Vineyard experience of a lifetime! Garrett hosted six of us at the Vineyard and took us on a ninety minute "tour" through the history of GV, the Napa Valley in general and Oakville area in particular, as well as the 8 wines that GV produces. The view from the sixty year old GV house is the best in the valley! This is matched only by the three wines we tasted. The '11 OVX7 was the best cab at that age I have ever tasted. Again, much appreciation to Garrett for enlightening us far beyond our wine foundation. Now, a must stop every time we return to Napa.

Yelp
My Wife and I had a wonderful experience at Gargiulo Vineyards. We enjoyed tasting serveral of their great wines will eating our picnic lunch from Oakville Grocery. The outdoor setting overlooking the vineyards was wonderful as was our hostess, who regaled us with stories about the owners and the wines. A must stop on any Napa excursion.

Yelp
We have been buying their wines for almost 7 years now and absolutely love them as does everyone we serve them too- we met Sharon- their estate manager on our first trip/tasting and have becomes friends with her husband and family- they even flew to south Florida to do a wine tasting at the ritz in Jupiter and when things got messed up they just came to out house and we had an awesome time - everyone loved it- we went to San fora last September and called Sharon and just picked a day to come by and say hi and see the finished winery- it's gorgeous and their wines unreal- their pinto and Chardonnay sell out immediately so if u van get some do they are divine and of course all their reds are just outstanding- if u get a chance go- the staff is outstanding the wines unreal and the property and view just cannot be described- beyond breath taking- just wished we lived closer :) 5 stars across the board from us and all our friends and family we have hooked on their wines!!!

Yelp
This was our favorite winery, hands down. We made a reservation well in advance, and it was definitely worth it. The grounds and view are spectacular. The tour itself was extremely insightful, yet laid back. It helps that it was just the two of us for the tasting. The four wines we tasted were delicious. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Our group has visited Gargiulo twice in the last 3 summers and it has been incredible The wines are diverse and each one is amazing for a different reason. The Aprile and Money Road Ranch are among the single best wines we have been fortunate enough to experience in Napa. The people at the winery are incredibly friendly, passionate and engaging. I would highly recommend a tour and tasting to anyone that is in the area. You will not be disappointed.
