The Best Way to Après Ski at Whistler Blackcomb

"Sited just above the Whistler Village Gondola Building, this popular bar offers a large outdoor terrace studded with firepits for sipping craft brews and watching skiers rip down the slopes; the vibe shifts from a low-key spot for hot toddies to a full-on dance party when DJs start spinning, and after dark the venue operates as a nightclub indoors." - Jen Murphy

Didn't ask about nut allergies for the mini donuts, and I had no issues. We arrived essentially at kitchen closing (around 6:05PM) and the staff at first did not let us in, but then said we could try ordering at the bar and they were fine letting us do a to-go order. I only came here because I was leaving the next morning and I had a lift voucher to redeem, as I spent over 15+ minutes on a gondola. The resort gives you a $10 voucher that can be spent at certain restaurants, and this is one of them. I ordered 12 mini donuts to go and they were baked in about 10 minutes. The donuts were crispy and dusted with sugar and cinnamon (?). Overall, a nice sweet way to end a ski day.

Enjoyed our prime rib cheeseburgers, Crispy Crudité appetizer, chamomile tea, kids pizza, hot chocolate, and warm flourless brownie, and received very kind service—but we reserved a fire pit table (for an extra fee) hoping to watch the Fire and Ice show from this location over dinner. Let’s be clear, there is no view of the show from these tables—only a view of the wild dance rave happening at the bar across the way. As long as it is made clear that someone will have to remain at the table (lest they seat another party there thinking you have left), while everyone is standing to watch the show from the opposite deck…and if you don’t mind the competition for which establishment can play the loudest music, then the fire pit tables are a comfy and happening place to ‘see and be seen’ while reflecting on the day’s skiing adventures.

Google
This place is such a great spot for drinks, apps, and meals during or after skiing! The patio is super nice, and they even have blankets to keep you warm while you chill. If you’re looking for a fun place to relax after a day on the slopes, you definitely need to check it out!

Just had drinks by one of the fireplaces after arriving in Whistler. Probably the best old fashioned I've ever had. Maple syrup and chocolate bitters.

Google
Tasty burgers, taco plates (make your own - nice!) and bowls. They make a killer spicy margarita and have a decent beer selection. Staff is very friendly especially Meg who was delightful. Can't beat the location for people watching and activity on the hill. Sit outside if available.

Google
With friends and family it is the best place to have a meal. It’s a spacious restaurant with lots of seating options - either at the tables or bars, at the bar itself or in the middle of the cafe watching the skiers outside or the winter sports videos on the wall TVs. The restaurant has a split level and it is fun to watch a colorful array of sport attire on people and a large variety of food served next to your sitting place. We ordered a wild mushrooms and truffle soup, an ahi crunch roll, and ahi poke bowl. Wow! What a wonderful presentation and fresh taste! Mushroom soup was very savory and was accompanied by 2 crispy bread slices. The restaurant was very busy, it took about 25 minutes before our food arrived. Meanwhile, we were served with water and my tea pot arrived within 5 minutes. It is actually very good to have time and a hot tea before the food - making the meal more anticipated and joyful. The music played was very active, making you want to get up and dance. Awesome food and overall experience! If we would have more days at Whistler, we would definitely come here again! Hope you will too!

Google
I just have to say Jimmy, Kristina, Lucy, Jackie and Mitch made my friends and I’d experience so memorable while we were riding bikes on holiday at Whistler. They truly made us feel like locals. We will be visiting the GLC now on our lunch breaks for the rest of our trip! If you’re looking for a great crew, good food, and looking to make some memories and good friends, the GLC is the place to do it at! Cheers!

Google
Was there on my anniversary with my partner and it took them ten minutes to even acknowledge that we were there. On top of that the lady that approach the table was a rude and condescending, judgy and not pleasant to talk with. Patio was nearly empty and she said they were busy. This place won’t serve a table of 2 because they’re too greedy serving parties that they charge with automatic 20% gratuity. Visit the restaurants below they have better service, we recommend the Irish Pub!

Yelp
Service could be improved but the yummy food and ambience made up for it. We stopped in the grab a bite and watch the college football playoffs. When we were seated no one ever came to get our orders. We ended up walking to the bar and ordering food and drinks through the bartender. Very very nice guy who helped us out. My husband's hot drink came out cold so they got him a new one no questions asked. Food was delicious!

Yelp
Nice spot to hang out right in the center of the resort, second floor has great views and staff were friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Came here after finishing up a run down the slopes for a bathroom break, but ended up staying for drinks. My friend and I sat at the bar, thinking that it was going to be a quick drink and leave, but we ended up staying longer because the bartender Jimmy was such a fun guy to talk to! He was so helpful and attentive even as it got busier as the day went on. As more of my friends joined us at the bar, he continue to friendly and attentive to us all. Everyone at Garibaldi was so nice! Jimmy and George were our two main bartenders, but everyone definitely was hospitable. The ambience was nice. Earlier in the afternoon it wasn't too loud or too quiet, but just right. And as the day turned closer to evening and more people came in, it became even livelier with DJ playing music. It definitely gave a fun vibe for a Friday evening. For food, we order the classic poutine and the butter chicken poutine. Both were delicious! It definitely filled us up and allowed us to drink more. Overall, my experience at Garibaldi was a very positive one and I definitely would recommend people to go there during their visit to Whistler. I definitely will go back there the next time I'm in Whistler.

Yelp
Good food and drink selections but staff is not very attentive. View is great since it's on the mountain.

Yelp
"Your love is liftin me higher, than I've ever been lifted before So keep it up, quench my desire and I'll be at your side forever more" (Rita Coolidge) The Garibaldi Lift Company did a nice job with our convention group's dinner. We were seated in their upper patio, so we had a great view of Whistler Village and the mountain bikers zooming down the hill. We started off with some group appetizers in the form of big platters of chicken, waffle fries, poke, and sushi. My dinner was an excellent Mixed Rice Bibimbap Bowl with shredded rib eye steak, shiitake and pacific mushrooms, carrots, napa cabbage, sautéed spinach, kimchi, peppers and a delicious green tea infused egg! The bowl was served with a side of Gochujang Korean BBQ sauce to ramp things up a bit . The dish was $26 CAD. Service was great and the staff did a wonderful job taking care of our big group. All in all, the place is gorgeous, the views are awesome, and the food and staff was top notch. What's more to like?

Yelp
Great Aprés Ski at Whistler. Delicious cocktails and a great Asian inspired menu. We had the Ahi Tostones - plantain chips, fresh ahi tuna, ginger, pineapple, jalapeno, purple cabbage, and a wasabi aioli. Side of guacamole and don't forget the salsa verde. Trust me on this one. Nice vibe after a long day of skiing. Service was attentive and engaging.

Yelp
My girls and I spotted this restaurant right before we went up the mountain to go zip lining and made sure to visit them for lunch later that day. The food was delicious, the environment was great, but sadly our server was kind of rude and provided us with the bare minimum service. I tried the GLC Bacon Burger $22.75 and Bulldog $22.50. The burger was served on a toasted Portuguese Bun & served with Crispy Waffle fries. It was by far one of the best Waffle Fries I've had in BC Verdict: I'll be back to try more dishes and enjoy the view and ambiance of the restaurant...hopefully we won't have the same server again

Yelp
Great location in a comfortable setting of dark wood and a few fireplaces in the main dining room as well as some really cool fire pits on the balcony. The food was average bar food and was quite pricey. All the sandwiches and handhelds are heavy items as they got rid of items like the Lettuce Chicken Wraps as they were too time consuming to make. The Pulled Pork Sandwich for $24 is very steep as was the Brazilian Choripan for $23. We might consider going back but would only order a bowl of the amazing Wild Mushroom & Truffle Soup.

Yelp
Garibaldi Lift Co. is a great place to go for après. My friends and I came here, and we enjoyed the truffle fries, ahi poke bowls, ciders, and salted caramel hot chocolate- yum! It's good to be aware that the fireside tables on the mountainside have a strictly enforced 90-minute limit. We started out mountainside and were the first customers in for the morning. I don't know what the deal was, but our server had an attitude and an edge. We were polite, quiet, and the first customers of the day. Oh well! After our 90 minutes were up (she let us know beforehand) we went inside to eat more, and our server inside was phenomenal. He had a great attitude and sense of humor, and his customer service skills made up for the earlier servers' lack of skills in these areas! Overall, Garibaldi's is a solid choice. The food options are good, they have a wide variety of drinks, and the ambiance is cozy and chill.

Yelp
Definitely a place for the aesthetic and location. The food was okay, as was the service. Paying for the proximity as the prices are a bit up there. Overall fun spot to unwind after a long day on the slopes.

Yelp
Beautiful location in Whistler village. Seating was fine although fire tables are limited. Our drinks were delicious (warm coffees with baileys) and hot apple cider. We opted for the waffles fries and Gorgonzola dip and an order of truffle fries. Both were great. Service wasn't so good but overall vibe was cool. Be sure to make reservations if you want the fire tables though!

Yelp
Honestly a great spot for a burger after a morning of skiing. Right at the base, climb up a set of stairs, voila. The GLC bacon burger ($22) was pricy but delicious and hit the spot. Served with waffle fries.

Yelp
Great location. Food is pretty good too. Bummer our kids couldn't come in for dinner hour. It turns into a bar.

Yelp
Great place to get a cold drink after biking down a couple lines. And as an added bonus, if you rent bikes from the bike shop below the restaurant you get 15% off your total meal cost. Very well decorated in a modern way. The servers were very quick and friendly as well.

Yelp
Out here for 6 days. Spent 6,000 US dollars in Whistler and an establishment has the nerve to restrict to 90 min for our seats, which they didn't tell us till we were at the end of our time. Extremely unhappy with their service. Good luck with your tourism when you've had multiple terrible ski seasons. I wouldn't recommend coming out here to anyone. Everything was pleasant till we ran into this restaurant.

Yelp
I don't know if it's because I spent hours going up then back down the mountain on a snowboard trying to have "fun," but coming here after for a caesar is just perfect! The staff will always be awesome and the food will always be ok pub/bar food. Go for: a nice relaxing caesar after spending a million dollars trying to snowboard/ski Don't go for: the best food

Yelp
Great place to grab a bite after skiing. Really good truffle fries. Great draft selection. Good service

Yelp
Monday 1200 We had no wait! We also sat outside and it got progressively colder and colder even under the heat lamps. There were blankets available, but honestly, you've got to look cool, you know. I did venture inside for the restroom and was flooded by a wave of warmth and comfort and did not want to come back out. I got the mediterranean goat cheese terrine and the Canadian Caesar. The terrine was excellent. I would come back just for this! The honey and balsamic vinegar reduction went so well together and the sugar on the bread was the best idea. The Caesar was damn salty and I was told caesars are usually salty and I should have gotten something with tomato juice, though the hostess did bring me a thing of tomato juice to pour into my caesar. I can tell you with all the caesars I've ordered the past few days none have been as salty. Overall a nice meal to tide me over just right amount before more slope adventures.

Yelp
Wow! I'm surprised the reviews are not that good! This place was amazing in my opinion!!! I came here on a riding break for lunch, on a warm August afternoon. Sat outside mountainside and watched the riders come down the hill while I ate my poke lunch with my riding guide. Folks, I wouldn't let the mediocre reviews deter you from this place... it's pretty good and I'm impressed.

Yelp
Apres ski, this was a ton of fun. We came after a full day of skiing on a Tuesday and got a table outside. Plenty of heat from the heatlamps and fires nearby. Great local beer selections, friendly service, and then, the ultimate nachos! For $33CAD, it could've used a tad more beef, but otherwise, was loaded with all the goodies you would expect. And they kept the guacamole and salsa on the side so it wouldn't get the chips too soggy! Nice! Really enjoyed this place. Great drinks, great location, great food. Thumbs up.

Yelp
The only good thing about this place is location and service was okay. Food wasn't good.

Yelp
I don't know why this place is reviewed so poorly, it has the best drink menu of all the places at the base of the mountain! Garibaldi's has a great view, as it's upstairs and looks over the village as well as the mountain! This is the ONLY place in the village that has mulled wine with just TWO ingredients - wine and brandy (well, okay, mulling spices too). Everywhere else serves it with fruit juice mixed in (bleeeecchhh)! We popped in on a Sunday afternoon for apres ski and they had a pretty legit little live band playing. I had a mulled wine, an apple something or other (hot water, goldschlagger, butteripple schnapps?, and maybe apple whiskey??). That thing was DELISH and not overly sweet. On to the food - we ordered two VERY opposite things - the butter chicken poutine and the superfood salad. Both seriously incredible. Yes, it was expensive - but come on, you're at the base of the mountain, it's to be expected. This place is awesome. FYI - no dogs on patio unless they are service animals, but the guys were super nice about it.

Yelp
It's such a shame the service and food here sucks because the restaurant is situated in a picturesque location and their beautiful fire pit seats are nice and warm in the winter. The fire pit seats was what attracted us because it was gloomy and chilly. We sat by a fire pit. The view was gorgeous. The table was dirty, the server who cleared up dishes from previous customers never bothered to wipe it clean. She was rushing and had nothing friendly about her at all. It made me wonder why she worked in this job. I like to be served by this who are friendly and take customer service seriously. We ordered a drink and waited about 5 minutes before she was in view so I could ask for a straw. She acknowledge I asked for it but never came back. When another server was in view, I asked for the same and she came back with it after a few minutes. It took so long to place our orders. Again, she stood there looking at us as if we were idiots because we were changing our minds about what to eat. I can appreciate it can be tiring to be in your feet all day but people have a freedom or choice and can change their minds whenever they please. Our food arrived after about 20-30 minutes. Firstly, the server took it to the wrong table and couldn't figure out where we were seated. When I saw that the table it was taken to said it wasn't theirs, I said that looked like ours and it was brought to our table. The cutlery was dirty. I waited several minutes to get the servers attention. Once I gave the cutlery to her, it took several minutes for a clean one to arrive. The food sucked. It lacked flavour, texture and was plain boring. Neither was not worth $21 bucks! I had real concerns about my food so I questioned what was in it. They assured me I was what I ordered but I was inclined to believe it was something else. They took it off my bill but I barely ate any of the main dish. I am still questioning what I ate. This place could be great if servers had better attitude and smiled at least once in the 1-2 hours that customers dined there. Because of their poor service, I never tipped them and I never will for such poor service. You simply can't expect a reward when you don't perform. I will never go back to this place because it is quite deceiving. It looks gorgeous but it lacks in service and food. If I were to provide some constructive criticism, I suggest training your servers about general customer service and basic table cleaning and hygiene. Don't rush; clean tables properly before seating customers. Revise your menu to reflect tasty and flavourful dishes.

Yelp
Went here today with a group of 8 people. I have two small children with severe food allergies. We had just arrived into town and the kids were starving and weren't able to wait to eat. We were able to find a pizza joint with ingredients their little bodies could handle and they each had a slice of pizza that they could eat while walking to find a proper restaurant for the rest of the adults and for them to order more food. We found Garibaldi and the kids had maybe 3 bites a piece that they had left to eat of their pizza. The waitress was lovely and told us that it was their policy not to bring other food into their restaurant. I understood and she went to talk to the manager to see if they could make an exception. Jacki the manager came to our table guns blazing with the worst attitude and power trip. She informed us that the children not only had to leave the table, they had to wait at the bottom of the stairs way outside the restaurant . I told her that they can't be left unattended and she told me to leave too. God forbid we waited outside the restaurant at the top of the stairs. It had to be the bottom. She was extremely rude and abrupt and seemed so irritated for no reason. I can't help but wonder if it was because we were the only people of color in the entire restaurant. Then she stood over us, and told us to leave right away, and wouldn't leave our table until we left. I tried to appeal to her sense of kindness for a mother with small children with significant food issues (especially because they would have been done with their food in two mins), but she wouldn't leave our table. I've never met a human being with such a lack of empathy and a need to intimidate . The entire group left the restaurant and you lost our business. Every parent knows it's not easy to travel with children with food issues. Jacki could have conveyed her point about the restaurant policy with some sort of kindness or empathy. She has no business managing a staff in the service industry. Shame on you Jacki!

Yelp
Te GLC as Garibaldi Lift Company is commonly referred to is another popular Apres Ski place at the base of Whistler Mountain. The outside patio does not seem to get as crowded as The Longhorn, though this may be a factor of their lack of heat lamps and inability to compete with the outdoor music scene at the Longhorn apres-ski. Indoors can be a different story, especially when there is football on, which can lead to a big crowd (even more so when the Seahawks play). Although it is a spacious place, seating can sometimes be at a premium. If you're looking for a game or better food than the Longhorn, the GLC is likely to be your spot as soon as you get off the slopes. Food-wise, they have great soups and tasty burgers. The portions are ample and they offer some unique dips that looked just as good as the food that I did get. On Sunday night (and presumably other nights), they feature a cover band that rocks out and has the crowd jamming and jumping. The frequent giveaways during the show too made for an added experience as we won a free beer as a result of our pop quiz knowledge. A very fun atmosphere for both entertainment, dining and watching games, with some good beers to suit.
google avatar

Kevin J.

Yelp
Gotta appreciate a place that serves drinks but also remains family-friendly during apres hours (unlike pretty much all the other drinkeries in the village. Looking at you Longhorn.) Didn't get drinks this time because I was with family, but the coffee and poutine were solid. Drink menu seems solid, with a couple pretty interesting cool-weather choices (Irish coffee, mulled wine, etc.) Will definitely make it a point to check this place out again next time I'm in Whistler.

Yelp
By far ... way far, worst restaurant I have been to in Whistler!! Okay so was not expecting amazing Araxi quality service but was not expecting this bad!! We had a long day hiking, followed by a heavy lunch so decided to nix our dinner plans and just chill in the village. Decided upon this place for a quick drink as it was prime for soaking up the atmosphere . We could not get a front table as those were reserved which is understandable though I did find it curious that one table never showed , one ordered nothing but water and the third refrained from ordering anything at all ( both parties were there over an hour ) ; while yet another came with their own Starbucks ?' Most places would not allow a non paying group to occupy any spot let alone a prime one unless the order was just that slow which is quite possible but in this note still got seated immediately outside with great views which garnered the one star I guess We ordered beers ( which were awful - probably worst IPA I have tried - not fault of restaurant, just a mediocre selection )- and sodas while we held off on food until we figured out what we wanted but by the time we were asked again drinks were gone and we were ready to leave which we told the waitress but 20 minutes later we were still waiting as was the poor group next to us who were complaining that they were starving and needing their nachos which they then attempted to give to us!! At this point we attempted to flag down several members of staff , all ignored us so I was tempted to leave cash on the table and hoped it covered it - we finally got the waitresses attention and she asked us to wait - she was lucky we did not take off at this point as 30 mins to pay is ridiculous!! Finally got the heck out of there and gladly so! If you want cheap booze and lots of it and have time to wait it's for you but families should take advantage of all the great spots that Whistler has offer and leave this to the kids who are happy to have booze served in beach buckets and really bad service

Yelp
Holy Cow! Arrived in Whistler last night. Walking the Village and finding few places were open I decided to check and see if Garibaldi was open for lunch. They were! I ordered a salad and the ahi tuna roll. My husband ordered the mushroom and chicken sandwich. We both felt our food was unbelievably great! Tasteful, good size portions and great service. Our waitress was Candice who was great!
google avatar

Nita L.

Yelp
Located right at the base of Whistler mountain, above the Garibaldi ski rental centre, next to the Village Gondola/ Fitzsimmons express lift, this is perfect spot to chill after a day on the slopes. With mountain views and a fireplace to chill by, it won't disappoint. The service was prompt and food was good. We order the Fish tacos and Yam fries. The Mulled wine - a mixture of hot Merlot, fruit juices and cinnamon, was fantastic!
google avatar

Julyana T.

Yelp
My instructor suggested this place for our lunch break since she can reserve a table for her class for early lunch (11.30-11.45). The 1st day I ordered fish taco appetizer as my lunch. It came with 3 tacos and avocados doesn't cost extra. It was decent. The fish was fresh but it smelled a little, and I didn't like any smell for my fish. The 2nd day I ordered ahi tuna roll. It was amazing. Totally made up for the bad fish from yesterday. I would come back again for this dish. My plate was clean and sparkling after I ate everything including the Asian inspired coleslaw.

Yelp
Good food. Good view. Super strict hostesses. I mean if you even think about breaking a COVID related restriction these girls and Lu will be in your face faster than you can say Canada with a sob story about being shut down because you walked the wrong way to your table. Servers over the last few days were all amazing.

Yelp
We had some technical difficulties with reserving our skiing at Whistler, so when we had talked to Customer Service and had our issues resolved, they were kind enough to give us plenty of food vouchers to cover our meals. We decided to come try this restaurant, since it was close to our hotel and didn't seem crowded. Our waitress was from Australia and was such a great server! We were able to get a seat by the window with a view of the fire pits outside and the lifts. They had great drink specials, and all the food options looked amazing. We decided to try the Canadian dip sandwich and the poke bowl, and we were not disappointed by either. They were beautifully plated, and they tasted amazing, considering this was what Americans would consider bar food. It's unlike any bar food we have had before! It tasted delicious, and we were thoroughly impressed. The dark and stormy drinks we were ordered were crafted with care and didn't have too much or too little alcohol. Overall, we were impressed and enjoyed our experience here.

Yelp
We went to GLC for New Years. They did not do the countdown. You had one job. One job. DJ Riddim was also awful and didn't even have the New Years song! Basically no one was on the dance floor before midnight. Horrible management for booking him.

Yelp
I always love this place for a good ceaser, the traditional(double of course) is my favorite, while skiing or after hiking. They have a terrific location in which you can ski in and lift out. It's really easy if all you need is a break for a bit. We usually just get snacks while here. We have had their flatbread, waffle fries and sweet potato fries here and they have always all been good. They have a nice outdoor patio seating area with sofas and fire pits, which is really enjoyable. Can't wait to come back next time we visit.

Marissa B.

Yelp
Came for the Fire and Ice show on whistler on Sunday night. Would have preffered to be at the bottom, the view would've been better and the DJ gives out free prizes. The views were obstructed by umbrellas because it was lightly snowing making the view from most seats non existent. BUT... the food was really solid. I enjoyed the butter chicken with double naan (it was perfect for enjoying all the delicious sauce that came with it) and my boyfriend really liked the chorizo flatbread.

Yelp
FIRE & ICE RESERVATIONS: Do NOT pay for the slope-side reservations for the Sunday Fire & Ice show. It is a total waste of money. 1) There is plenty of standing room at the bottom center of the slope. The crowd was small enough that everyone had a better view than those of us on the patio. The DJ is down w the crowd giving away prizes, so you'll lose out on any of that. The Fire Dancers perform for the crowd front & center, not for the patio. 2) They have big green umbrella's up that block ANY view for the majority of the tables. A slight drizzle keeps them up, so you see nothing without standing up, leaving your table, and impeding on other table's space. This was the absolute biggest disappointment. 3) There is actually standing room directly beside the patio, with no umbrellas, that anyone at the restaurant could utilize. Again, even they had a better (& free) view than those of us w reservations. 4) You are expected to eat & drink, so add another $100 to your evening. Food was good, drinks were a bit light on the pour. How to improve? A) Get the DJ up with those paying to attend. B) Ask the Fire Dancers to shift some focus to the patio. C) Lose the umbrellas. We want to see the show. D) Package reservation with a meal ($100 gets you seats, Drink, & Appetizer)

Waited 45 minutes for a shared spot by the fire pit, but we went a little after the lunch rush, so that's expected. They provide you with blankets, and it's really nice to be right up by the window. The butter chicken poutine was great. Careful not to get it on your clothes or gear though. Their alcoholic beverages are delectable. The peppermint hot chocolate one was very good.

Yelp
Came here during one of our team dinners for 280+ people and surprisingly it fit everyone. We booked out the place and got buffet-styled food. I will point out that their tortellini was delicious and their crispy potatoes. The beef was too dry after it sat on my plate for five minutes of receiving it and seafood isn't the freshest up in Whistler. It is a nice bar and space that oversees the snow that's next to the gondolas. Must return to try their regular dishes!

Yelp
Butter chicken tasted good but I'll show the difference between the dish here and in India... India! Where people are starving.

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Saturday after skiing. Easily got a table for 2 outside around 12:30. Location was great, right next to the whistler gondola/lifts and since it's on the 2nd story, had a good view of the village/mountain. Food was very average. I ordered the special flatbread of the day (chicken, bacon, ranch). I don't know if I would really consider it a flatbread, if was pretty much just a single serving pizza. My husband ordered a sandwich and got waffle fries instead of regular fries - waffle fries were great! Service was really slow. We basically had to flag down the waitress every time we needed to order, wanted the check, etc. Would only suggest coming here if you were looking for a really leisurely meal and weren't trying to get right back on the mountain.

Yelp
We came here for some late-night live music and it was okay. We had to check all of our jackets, not sure why they have that policy but it seems like they were heavily enforcing it with everyone. I ordered one of the bucket drinks (which is supposedly four shots), I proceeded to drink all of it over the course of a couple hours and felt almost nothing -- 4 shots would normally annihilate me. Hopefully they actually put alcohol in there. The music was alright, the place seemed to be filled with the same kind of person: the local ski-bums who come from abroad (mostly Australia) are in their early to mid-twenties, work in the village and get trashed at night. This place wasn't terrible but certainly wasn't anything special.

Yelp
Great service and atmosphere! Best location for après ski

Yelp
Après! After a long day of riding, we were thirsty for a Bloody Mary. Since this placebos conveniently located at the bottom of one long run, I practically rode into the outdoor patio on my snowboard. Service was very absent and it took more than 30min to get our drinks. The following night, we decided to come here as our last stop of bar hopping extravaganza, only to find the bar rather empty. Luckily there was no cover and the DJ was pretty good. Bathrooms were filthy but when you are in a bar full of drunk 18 year olds, that's really not a surprise.

Yelp
They have ahi poke bowls now!!! Served on rice with seaweed avocado and furikake. A bit too much soy dressing but otherwise delicious!

Yelp
Average food, great place to grab a pint before heading back up to the slopes. Tried the nachos and a flatbread, both were okay. The best part about this place is location, location, location. You can sit there all day and just be mesmerized by the skiers and apres atmosphere at Whistler. Grab a table on the balcony with the gas fireplaces and you're set for the day. Don your stylish ski bunny suit and chill out. No one will ever know you can't ski!

Yelp
Yelp should combine their two Yelp pages.... Ok, so we went here one day for Lunch off the slopes for a minute or two. Had a lovely Aussie waitress who was very attentive and friendly, we sat on the patio. We got a pitcher of Kokanee and the Poutine. Had to have one, it's a "thing" in Canada...and theirs looked the best from the other menus I'd seen it on around town. Some kind of red wine gravy, rather than just brown gravy. I still don't really know what Cheese Curds are, but they were goddamdelicious. Much more chill crowd and less crowded in general than Longhorn. I was expecting it to be more of a local and hipster crowd for some reason, from my Yelp research. It was laid back and just what we needed at the time. We stopped in one of our nights with the intention of getting dinner, but they'd just closed the kitchen and it was Trivia Night or somesuch thing. We planned to go back for drinks because that sounded cool, but we never made it. When we are back in Whistler, we will definitely go back when the mood for a laid back atmosphere hits, and for the Poutine, because we did end up getting a few more at different places later on...and the one at GLC was the best!!!

Yelp
Don't know about food or service. What I do know girl manager over snow board fire show should be fired or sent back to finishing school. When you show her that the hostess and your iPhone indicates you have a reservation and she lacks the intellect to understand she should not be in management or a hostess greeting customers. Yelp
This was our default for apres. It's at the base of Whistler mountain. Fast service, friendly, and the food is good too. They easily accommodated our large group every time. Chill crowd - maybe because after riding all day, energy level is set to relaxation.
