Food was phenomenal and service was very friendly and fast. The atmosphere of the restaurant reminds of an old school pizzeria and hangout. The facilities are kept very clean and tidy and easily accessible. Most importantly, the food is phenomenal! Its cooked fresh to order and brought straight out of the kitchen to your table. Highly recommended if you like a fun atmosphere and great food!

Google
We called in an order to pickup two XL pizzas. When we arrived, they had our two pizzas ready for us, the staff was all very friendly, and the atmosphere was really nice. Families were sitting at tables enjoying their food. We’ll have to dine in the next time we’re in the area. Oh and the pizza? Absolutely delicious, of course. We’ll be back!

Google
Great atmosphere. I go to the Walker st. Area Garibaldi 's . I like it a lot. Friendly people. Good neighbor hood. I like to walk around the Highland Strip a little after eating there. I will always come back.

The chicken chef salad was bigger than I expected. I was full half way through. Pizza came out, daughter and I did half meat lovers and other half was buffalo ranch chicken. We got the 14". I was unable to eat any pizza as of now bc I am full. She said she is stuffed, tried and can't talk about food right now. She ate 3 pieces. She also ordered the chocolate cannoli. She said food was 4 stars bc that was 2 sweet. I took a bite and instantly tasted a powdery substance. It looked at the ingredients, it was cinnamon. I didn't take a bog enough bite to really give an option but we've also never had 1 before. It was chocolate, can't go wrong. The gentleman who rung us up is Max, he was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all the crazy questions we threw at him as today was our first visit. Daughter said she definitely wants to come back!

Google
The Walker Avenue location hosted our church basketball team’s pizza party and did a PHENOMENAL job. The staff was very accommodating of our large group and provided us with everything we needed. The food was delicious and we will definitely look to them for future group events!

Google
Garibaldi's was gracious to host a meeting in their side room but seemed unprepared for the extra orders this would generate from the attendees. Staff were rushing orders and making mistakes. The buffalo chicken wrap was decent but seemed a poor value for the price.

Google
I ordered a BBQ pizza which was delicious and I ordered a cheese pizza and it was not very good at all. Tasted like bad cheese that was out of date or spoiled ? Very disappointed with the cheese quality 🤨☹️😣. As you can clearly see I couldn’t even finish one piece and trashed it. I’m hoping I can get a credit or replacement from the UofM location on Walker?

Google
One of the best bbq pizzas in Memphis. Counter-serve pizza parlor with longtime friendly employees, pinball machines, and jukebox. Other menu highlights include the chicken spinach Alfredo pizza, tortellini Alfredo, toasted ravioli, meatball sub, and versuvian steak sandwich (hamburger sub). Cheap beer and in-house delivery, too.

Yelp
Exquisite. That's how I'd describe this pizza. And the jukebox. My family and I ended up here on a rainy afternoon during a vacation in Memphis for lunch. We had no idea that Garibaldi's has a heavy 80s rumpus room vibe, legit vintage and modern pinball, and the most righteous jukebox east of the Mississippi. The pepperoni pizza was great, and I say this as a native New Yorker. The house-made ranch, which was provided for us to try by the very attentive staff, was fantastic. I felt seen when one of the cooks came out from the back to see who was playing De la Soul on the jukebox because, "Only I play this song!", and complimented me on my selections. My kids had so much fun playing pinball and drinking root beer that they begged for us to go back again for dinner later in the week before we left town. At our second visit, Chef De la Soul welcomed us with a hearty "You're back!!" when we walked in the door. We tried the "eat it before you die" meatball sub, and I can attest, I can die happy now. That was an amazing sandwich. The salad with the house-made vinaigrette dressing was really good, too. Unlike a lot of other places in our hometown, the cheese pizza has a generous and lightly bubbled layer of mozzarella. Delicious! If I lived in Memphis I would absolutely bring my family here every week. Garibaldi's, we miss you.

Yelp
Love garibaldis! The buffalo ranch chicken pizza is my fave. Good pasta too. The location by U of M does a lunch buffet that's great too!

Yelp
Service was very swell. Food was great. A bit pricey. Worth the atmospheric here. Ambiance was beautifully cozy.
google avatar

Yelp
Kicking myself for waiting so long to try this Memphis gem!! High quality toppings, crunchy, cheesy, hot & delicious. A bit pricey with a 10 inch meat lovers coming in at around $20, but worth it IMO. I'll be back

Yelp
This place has not changed since the minute it opened. I find that totally acceptable. The place definitely feels kind of dirty and outdated. What makes up for it? The pizza. My go to is the pulled pork. It's the best bbq pizza I've had. I have know idea what they do, or how they do, but damn, it's good. Pepperoni is also a solid choice as they load each pie with tons of pepperoni. My daughter loves cheese pizza, so we opted for a half on this particular visit. I ended up eating a few slices of that, and it was good, too. The sandwiches I've had in the past were all good as well. Not my go to, but I've eaten them more than once. The salads are enormous and pretty good...you know, as far as salads go. This one and the Germantown location have a small arcade, which is a cool, old school touch. Don't judge a book by its cover. This place is one of my favorite pizzas and I've tried places from Cali to NYC.

Yelp
I have been coming to this location for 33 years now. When I was at the college we would stop by here weekly as a group. The food has always been awesome , and the atmosphere excellent. It is everything good about the term "Pizza Joint".
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
This place is consistently awesome. The food is always delicious, and we've tried several different things. The staff is always friendly and helpful. And they get the orders out quick. Plus, you can get a pitcher of Shiner! It's no wonder they have been in business so long, they excel at everything!
google avatar

Jack B.

Yelp
To go. BBQ pizza with pulled pork is a great pie. Use marinara rather bbq sauce with lots of cheese which is unique. Crust is chewy and yeasty.
google avatar

Ricardo B.

Yelp
Local pizza joint close to highland and the university of Memphis. This location has pinball machines and is close to the university. To me it felt very 80's. Good pizza. Their garlic cheese bread was very good. Think french bread that's been slices in half. Then they cut one half into small squares. Add garlic spread and cheese to it. Put it in the pizza oven so the cheese melts and voila! Deliciousness!!
google avatar

Lea B.

Yelp
I've always just ordered delivery, so I knew the food was good. My daughter had never had it so we dined in after leaving the bookstore. There's plenty of free parking available in the parking lot. I ordered a 12" pizza, in which I knew I was not going to finish it in 1 sitting, and my daughter got pasta. I did order a pizza to go and all I had to do was let them know when I was almost done eating do it could popped in the oven. The garlic bread was good. Service was good. Someone did come by the table to make sure everything was to our liking which was appreciated.

Yelp
My husband and I went with my little "Glambaby" on Valentine's Day. This was our first visit. We enjoyed our experience. The restaurant is a nice size. You place your order once you arrive and get a number to take to the table of your choice. They have a pretty good variety on the menu, but we stuck with Pizza. The pizza was ok. We had half (pepperoni) and half (meat lovers). I wish the ingredients would have messed more together (if that makes sense) instead on the bread, cheese, and toppings being separate from one another. I will give them another try.

Yelp
Every time I pass through Memphis, I would stop here to get a roast beef sub. I don't know what it is they did to it, but it's the best roast beef sandwich I've ever had. So imagine my disappointment to be told they no longer serve it. I got the meatball sub which was good, but not legendary like the roast beef. I guess I won't be stopping here anymore. Too bad, I'll miss it.

Wanda L.

Yelp
Before this week, I think I never went to a Garibaldi's restaurant. My spaghetti and meatballs were great and such an ample serving that I had two meals from it. The Italian spinach was great. My grandson's pasta (fettuchini) was, likewise, great. I also got a venzulian steak sandwich to go for a later meal. I was very disappointed in that, as iy was nothing more than a hamburger (an underdressed one at that). Had I simply wanted a hamburger, I can think of at least one fast food joint where I would have gotten a much better one. The low rating I am giving is for the sandwich itself.

Yelp
Wonderful food wonderful staff. Love this place. Very homey taste. Walked in and everything was on point and every one was extremely helpful and welcoming. Will be back soon for the Buffalo chicken pizza !
google avatar

Sam F.

Yelp
Incredible dining establishment. Food is amazing. Pasta and garlic bread tastes great
google avatar

Tim N.

Yelp
Pretty dang good comparing to the other Italian restaurant around town. Had the spaghetti with meat ball for lunch. Gave me a good portion. It was hot and ready. The place seem a bit run down but don't be fool when it come down to what they offer here.
google avatar

Semaria S.

Yelp
Stopped here Friday for lunch. I was surprised that they offer a buffet. I definitely wasn't expecting that. Very friendly and welcoming vibe. A hot spot for police in the area. All the food was hot and replenished immediately. I will definitely visit again.

Larry H.

Yelp
Quick delivery, New York style pizza, , just went basic with my first time, mushrooms and onion. Hit the spot on a late Friday night.
google avatar

Yelp
Pizza was delicious and delivered timely and hot! I got half and half. One side was pepperoni with garlic butter and Italian seasoning and the other side was all veggies with garlic butter and Italian seasoning. I don't eat pizza often, but when I do, it's garibaldis. Much better than any franchise pizza joints around here. Do yourself a favor and eat local. You won't regret it!

katina p.

Yelp
Ordered a margherita pizza. Drove 20 minutes to get it. Last year it was perfect pizza so I was really looking forward to it. 1st pizza came out hard and dry. So I went back in and order a 2nd pizza....to give them another shot. They handed me a cheese pizza. After pointing that out he went and threw some basil on it. So $30 out the window with worse than dominoes!
google avatar

Lori E.

Yelp
Had a lunch meeting here today. It was my first time eating at Garibaldi's. We had the lunch buffet and it was pretty good. I had a few pizza slices & spaghetti. It was a tasty lunch for $10. Next time i want to try an order a whole pizza.

Karla D.

Yelp
This is the best pizza in Memphis! Good old fashioned no cutting cost for a lesser pizza.. We love it!
google avatar

Joe D.

Yelp
Stumbled across this place by chance while driving around and starving for pizza. It was not a let down! Hands down some of the best pizza I've had in Memphis for a pretty good price. Place has that nice pizza diner feel that I love including arcade games and beer. I will definitely be returning here in the near future when I'm in the mood for some great pizza.
google avatar

Yelp
Hmmm. What to say, what to say... I have fond memories of this place...mostly reminiscing about going here in high school and college with a group of friends. But it has been years since I've stopped by the brick and mortar. These days I just get delivery - because fast they are. Just this week they told me it would be 30 to 40 minute, but they were on my front door step in 20. Cha ching! I enjoy their pizza and am always impressed by how ginormous and full of goodies the salads...puny they are most definitely not. And while I usually like my pizza crust a little thicker, this thin crust is just fine. Another positive is they have Italian dishes (spaghetti, etc.) in case you're not in the pizza mood. Memphis doesn't have many places that deliver so they get major brownie points for that!

Yelp
Good choice for CHEAP LUNCH! Review of Lunch Buffet: I totally understand if you DO NOT eat buffets -but for those of us who are not afraid (or that smart) Garibaldis UM is a good pick. For under $10, I got to choose from Chicken Tenders, Meat-n-Gravy (like Salisbury Steak?), Mashed Tatters, Salad (mixed greens in Italian dressing,) Green Beans, Spaghetti (standard, blah) Potato Salad (surprisingly some of the BEST potato salad I've had anywhere) ... Oh, & some decent PIZZA! Pretty good -but my lunch also included a DRINK! I DIDN'T HAVE TO ORDER WATER to keep the price under $10! . And by drink, I mean some really good lemonade & tea choices included. Atmosphere was good. Lots of UM Tiger Blue! At least 8 TVs in 2 large rooms. Jukebox with fun music playing. Some old arcade games. Service is fast & friendly. Food was warm & fresh (I hate cold food!) And it appears to be clean. Honestly, I couldn't find a negative (grading it solely on a lunch buffet curve.)

Yelp
When you are tired of BBQ in Memphis this is where you should go! Great salad and pizza!! Husband had a pizza of pepperoni and bacon! The meat was loaded on his pizza. I had Miss Angie's Italian Masterpiece. It was loaded and at a great price of $4.50 for a small. I also had a 10 inch pizza but tried one of their gourmet pizzas..the White Pizza! It was amazing! What a wonderful experience!!

Yelp
I apologize for the review on 1/19/2020. That review was for the Mt. Moriah location. Food is great!
google avatar

Sirhc N.

Yelp
Great buffet, good social setting. The food is 7/10, the pizza slices are small and allow you to try a variety of things. It's easy to navigate and the prices are very straightforward. Would recommend. Great soul food.

Yelp
Just blocks away from the University of Memphis, Garibaldi's is almost like tradition with the college crowd and alumni. Luckily, I attended the U of M, and then my husband and I bought a house in the neighborhood. Not just for the Garibaldi's, of course, but the location is a definite plus. Their pizza is the best in Memphis, as far as I'm concerned, mainly because of the yummy tomato sauce. I'm pretty picky about my sauces, and it takes just the right combination of spicy and sweet to make this chick happy. Garibaldi's does. I also like to stop in every now and again for the very reasonable lunch buffet, and the Miss Angie's salads.
google avatar

Alsafyche D.

Yelp
So, I understand that I am SUPER PICKY about my pizza. I'm from Chicago, I routinely make my own pizza at home to sate my cravings, but this is just another mediocre pizza place in memphis. I know lots of natural born Memphians who love Garabaldi's but I can't say I understand. I've only ever picked up. I don't know what their restaurant experience is like.
google avatar

Rosana T.

Yelp
We got the white pizza, toasted raviolli and italian spinach and everything was good! the little one enjoyed the pizza :-)
google avatar

Rachael B.

Yelp
I just called to try and order delivery. The woman who answered said they're closed. I said really, because the hours listed say 11pm. She said if they have a slow night they close early. I used to work in a restaurant, I get it, but I never turned away customers. Not very smart because I guess we'll just give someone else our money
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
Already wrote a review for this place and it seems to have disappeared. Anyway, Garibaldis has pretty good pizza, pasta and salads. My parents used to take me here as a little kid. The location has been open for a long time. Food will be hot and fresh. They have a good lunch buffet.
google avatar

Alex R.

Yelp
We have ordered here several times in the past, but it's usually been pretty ho hum, so it's been a while. Tonight we decided to give Garibaldi's another chance and we ordered some pasta for delivery. I'm not sure what changes they've made, but MAN! I ordered penne with creamy tomato sauce and my husband got penne with marinara. We each got an Italian salad as well. Everything was fresh and delicious and somehow still piping hot (despite being delivered), including the super tasty FREE garlic bread (it comes with the pasta). It was an ample feast for two vegetarians and we will definitely be eating here more regularly now.
google avatar

Harold W.

Yelp
Garibaldi's is a Memphis Staple when it comes to pizza. I love this place and I will always love this place. The Lunch Buffet is awesome . You can't go wrong ordering the spinach either.
google avatar

Kedrick J.

Yelp
Food was just bland... Cashier doesn't know the menu options Buffet selections are a joke...

Yelp
Garibaldi's is a favorite among University of Memphis students. It's cheap and delicious food, which makes it a staple in many dormrooms and college students' stomachs. College was when I was first introduced to Garibaldi's. It is not the best pizza in the world, but it's a solid pie for a very reasonable price. This particular experience with Garibaldi's was on New Year's Day. It was a day of recovery, and this place was one of the few establishments actually open. Not only were they open, but they delivered! Hot food. Fast. Cheap. and I did not even have to change out of my PJs. It was perfect. I was not in the mood for pizza, but to my luck, they also have sandwiches and select appetizers as well. Scott and I ordered a feast. He got the Italian Supreme Sandwich. I got the Meatball Sub. We split an order of Toasted Ravioli and Italian Spinach. I thought my sandwich was great. It definitely hit the spot. The meatballs were tender, and the bread was warm, toasted, and buttery. I would not give the marinara sauce five stars. It was a little too sweet, but it was a great mix with the savory meatballs and buttery bread. Scott said his sandwich was nothing special, but it was good. The toasted ravioli was average. it tasted like your standard toasted ravioli, with the same marinara that came on the meatball sub. I love toasted ravioli, though, so I ate it all. The spinach is a good size and also yummy. We also each got a piece of cheesecake, which was also devoured before I had time to snap a photo. Scott ate the New York Style Cheesecake and I had a piece of Turtle Cheesecake. It tasted like your standard, store-bought cheesecake. Nothing that knocked your socks off, but good enough to eat every bite. The speed of delivery is spot on as well, and the delivery guys are very laid back and cool. Overall, Garibaldi's a solid restaurant. They have good food at a good price. The best part is that they deliver, so you do not even have to leave your house to get it. This is perfect for a lazy day.

Yelp
This is a good "anytime" spot. I eat here regularly at lunch as well as order pizza and subs for take-out or delivery. It's fast, reasonably priced and yummy. What it is NOT - it's not Giardanos of Chicago, a wine bar, a fancy date place, pricey or quiet What it IS - easy, yummy, fast, fun (they have pinball and Ms PacMan, can you really argue w that?) and very reasonably priced I love this place and usually visit at least once a week, mostly for lunch. They have a rewards type punch card that you can use for the mini-buffet and build up to a free buffet!. Oh! And the buffet changes each day and doesn't just include pizza (bbq baked chicken, chicken and dumplins, etc - each day has a special and it's listed on a sign inside). Just go there. Take a few friends and get your Ms. Pacman challenge on!

Yelp
I was hoping to be more impressed. Suffice it to say that if I was at home I am pretty sure I could have done as well out of MY freezer. I felt dirty eating there and that says a lot since I've eaten at some sketchy places in Qatar while deployed. My feeling is that they are living off their reputation from days gone by.
google avatar

Samantha H.

Yelp
This pizza has a one of a kind taste its always cooked to order so that means hot and fresh each and every time. The staff are always nice & kind and in my book this pizza is the best pizza in Memphis. It wont hurt your budget which is nice because its around the way from the University of Memphis and tons of college students flock here to eat the pizza.
google avatar

Bruno A.

Yelp
In all the time away from Memphis I still have longings for Garibaldi's. You can find great pizza elsewhere, but in Memphis it's the best I had for ten years. The crust is average but do you eat a pizza for the crust? The rest of it, mmm mmm good. I always stuck with the barbecue pizza which is as close to legal drugs as you can get. I would wake up with cravings for it in the middle of the night. There is a lot of cheese on it so I hope you're in the mood for it. It's good stuff. Just make sure to get a lot to drink with it, it makes you thirsty. This isn't just a catering place, it's a restaurant. Its proximity to U of Memphis means they're sure to get the college crowd who should be thankful to have such good pizza nearby.
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
The pizza was really good, especially for the south. It was definitely a college town pizza place atmosphere.
google avatar

German C.

Yelp
Whilr eating some bland pizza.... a cockroach passes next to our wall. My friend got a bad order..and I hope it gets better..I really do.
google avatar

Randy C.

Yelp
I love Garibaldi's. I've been coming here for almost as long as it's been open. Whether we are coming in for the Lunch Buffet or after a game to share a few pizzas this is the place I crave when I want the best Pepperoni Pizza in Memphis. The buffet is great, lots of variety. I also think the Meatball Sub with Mozzarella is one of the best I've ever had. My wife loves the Chef Salad and they make the best Italian Dressing on the planet. All said I've never had a bad meal at Garibaldi's and that's saying something when you've been going to a place for around 30 years.
google avatar

Jolynna M.

Yelp
A long time favorite hangout for college students, this place has been around since the days I was on campus. And I still really like their pizza. You can get the crust either hand tossed or thick, with all the usual suspects for topping choices. But they have a good specialty pizza here that is unique to Garibaldi's. It's the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Pizza. It tastes like hot wings on a pizza, and it's really good. They also have great sandwiches - my favorite is the Turkey Reuben on toasted rye bread. The Meatball sandwich is killer as well and served on homemade bread. In fact, all their subs are served on homemade bread they make fresh each day.
google avatar

Frank C.

Yelp
Great pizza, clean facility, good service. College student hangout, popular with Univ of Memphis students.
google avatar

Diana T.

Yelp
Usually they are pretty hit or miss with me... But I will say they are more hit than miss! I'm not crazy about pizzas anymore because i don't like thin crust anymore. I love their chicken Alfredo pasta though. I also like their salads. Noisy college atmosphere, which is cool and to be expected. Usually, the people who answer the phones are nice and the prices are decent.
google avatar

Sarah J.

Yelp
When I called in to order a pizza for pick up I double-checked that they do indeed accept FlexBucks/Dining Dollars from the UofM. The man on the phone said that they do. I went to pay for the pizza and they did not accept my payment through the UofM. Although this was inconvenient and I had to search for something else just to pay for a pizza, I got past this. I got home to find out that the pizza wasn't even cut, and on top of that the crust was hard and insanely troublesome to chew. I live literally three minutes away, so the time to get home shouldn't have caused this. I have been here before and loved it, but this experience was too much.

Amy S.

Yelp
Ordered grub hub from this local pizza restaurant. The picture on the site did not even come close to what was delivered. It is still in the pizza box and i went to sleep hungry...the side salad was the only bright spot for the order. Skipping this place next time around.
