Love Garrett’s popcorn whenever I am in Chicago or flying through O’Hare airport I try to stop by and grab at least two bags worth of goodness. It is always tasting freshly made and crunchy. There is a reason there is a line and the quality of the product is always so good and consistent. Do yourself a favor and next time you fly through Chicago stop by and pick up some of this iconic and addictive snacking treat !

My son flew from Chicago to Houston and brought me popcorn. Truly disappointed. I don’t live in Illinois so this was going to be a treat. I am so glad I didn’t get the large. The popcorn was stale. Especially the cheese. I ordered a medium Garrett Mix and a medium cheese. This was the previous day popcorn if not two days prior. Definitely wasn’t fresh. The caramel was better but the cheese was not and it was mixed in. I don’t usually get Garrett’s when I visit Chicago but needed my popcorn fix..Although IAH recently opened a Garrett’s not sure if I want it again 🫤

I had a very nice vacation, coming back I stopped at Garrett's being we loved since I was younger, I ordered a large big of the hot cheese and regular caramel. Once I got to my destination I opened thought I was about to enjoy, this popcorn was very hard, and seem stale, the color is off, I remember it being darker the (caramel) popcorn, I tried going back to try and change it, but was told I couldn't go back through security, what a waste of money, thanks Garrett's, this popcorn that I got looks like CrunchnMunch, and Ik someone may say oh wow it was $10 but it was mine and I wanted a fresh bag of Garrett's popcorn

I had a quick layover at ORD and someone specifically requested the Garrett's Mix. Luckily, there are three locations within the airport and I was able to grab some on my way to another terminal. I got a jumbo bag of the mixed variety for him and a petite tin of the limited edition hot cocoa for myself. I can understand the hype and why the line was so long. It was definitely good! There are also some pre-packaged bags by the chips at some of the kiosks along the way if you don't have time to wait.

I love the popcorn here so much. I try to always have a layover here to pick up some goodies. However, did the size of a large buttery change? I picked up my usual popcorn order today and was in a hurry to get to my gate. Once I got home to Denver, I opened my bag and see that my “large” buttery popcorn is the same size as my “medium” Garrett’s mix. Did large bag get smaller? It’s been two months since I was last here…

I had a 7 hour stopover in Chicago on Oct 12th. I’ve always heard of Garrets Popcorn; so after touring the city I headed back to the airport and stopped by their kiosk and got me a bag of their cheesy and Carmel popcorn. OMG!!! It was so YUMMY!!! If you’re in the Chicago area you gotta get some Garrets! N

Employees were more interested to whatever was on their phone, than helping customers. Cashier was rude and not speaking up so she could be heard. She dropped (threw) my change on the counter. Also cheese corn mixed in with what I ordered. Popcorn was delicious

I've been a loyal fan to Garrett but my experience this time at this location was so disappointing. The popcorn was not good compared to the shop in Michigan ave. Garrett popcorn usually last more than 1 week but this time it went stale, soft and so bad after just 2 days.

I think this is the correct location that we went to at the airport. Bought some popcorn for our families, and it's pretty standard, but the service by the staff was terrific. They were friendly, quick, and made it worthwhile.

A new tradition has begun. Any layover time at O'Hare will involve a stop at Garrett's. Sounds nuts but try the caramel and cheese. I never would've combined the two, but they did and it's really good. Lotsa other options, too. You're bound to find something appealing! The popcorn tasted just as good the next day. Provided you seal out as much air as possible. Fair warning: they have a long line that doesn't move the fastest. If you're pressed for time, look at one of the kiosks in the terminal. They have pre-packaged bags waiting for you. The girls were very helpful and patient. It's the people in line that can be a challenge. Like most places, try to figure out what you want BEFORE getting to the register. Can't wait to fly through here again! 07/25

Passed by early morning and of course we had to stop and get some popcorn! I enjoy the cheese the most and it was delish as always. When you have the chance, be sure to stop by and grab some!

Quick place inside the busy ohare airport to pick up a local favorite. Bought a couple small popcorns which ended up costing $18. Remember to grab napkins if you get the cheese popcorn mix as they dont include them in your bag for you. The popcorn received was delish, consistent with popcorn shops in the city.

I usually prefer nuts on Clark but you can't actually fail with either one. These are smaller denser kernels which lead to less topping per piece but the cheese is really good as is the caramel

Picked up garret mix and the premium pecan caramel in small bags. They bag it up really nicely so that it travels well in my carry on. I loved both flavors and conveniently located next to my gate home in terminal 1. They also have tins if you wanted something you could save.

Garrett Popcorn Shop is definitely a popular place to bring back for family and friends. Their most famous flavor is their "Chicago mix", which is Half caramel popcorn and half cheddar. I like their caramel popcorn. On this occasion, I brought their seasonal frango popcorn, which had caramel popcorn mixed with chocolate covered popcorn and mint chocolate flavored popcorn. Delicious. Other nice thing about this location at O Hare airport is that the cost mirrors what they charge at locations in downtown. Not cheap, but at least it's not marked up further at the airport!

We were headed back home to Austin at the O'Hare airport and noticed they had the yummy Chitown popcorn-Garretts on the way to our gate, so we had to stop and gets some small bags of the Chicago mix and picked up a new one that was pecan. Its a tiny spot to get a quick order of some popcorn and you can choose to get them in there Souvenir Tins as well. It's well worth the stop and glad they have them in the airport now. They have a few sizes to choose from. Highly recommend! If you haven't had them yet, you're missing out.

A Chicago treat for over 70 years, I really had to try Garrett's. Even one of my coworkers said it was a must during my last layover at O'hare. The line wasn't too long. So while I waited my turn, I scoped out which kind to try. There were quite a few variations. I chose Pecan CarmelCrisp. It was very rich and crisp and the pecans broke up the sweetness! Service wasn't the friendliest but the cashier did smile back at me. All in all, service was quick and efficient. I read that they rotate in new flavors, so I'll have to check for those next time I'm at Ohare.

Love the popcorn. I travel every other week and always grab a bag of cheddar for my flight. November 1st I decided to buy the Chicago tin for $44.00! First, the guy helping me was talking on his phone the whole time. I had to tell him three times, while he was going back and forth on his phone, I wanted the tin with "CHEDDAR" only. He then goes and fills the tin. Taped it shut. So I purchased dark chocolate pecans and figured okay I'll eat the popcorn when I get home. I get home, open the tin, and he filled half with caramel and half cheddar!!!! Note: most of it is Carmel! Waste of 44.00! I don't eat Carmel popcorn.

I've been to Chicago a couple of times, and I've heard that Garrett popcorn is one of the things to get when you visit. I've wanted to try it but thought, how good can popcorn get? My bf convinced me last time not to get it since it looked like a tourist trap, but I was still always curious. When I had the chance to visit for a day, I decided to get a bag at the airport before leaving the city. It ended up being a good last minute decision. I got to the airport a little before 7:00am which is when the stand opens. I sat down nearby to wait but saw that a line was already forming before they were ready. I decided to get in line before it got longer. Of course, if this was going to be my first time here, I wanted the fan-favorite Garrett mix: caramel popcorn and cheese popcorn. I ended up ordering a medium bag of it. It tried one of each before packing it away in my bag. The caramel and cheese popcorn surprisingly went well together. I think I may have even tried this popcorn back when I was a child, but it certainly wasn't as fresh and airy as this. When I got back to my bf's place, I offered him some. I think the only regret I had ordering from Garrett's Popcorn was not getting a larger size. My bf was as addicted as I was...maybe even more so. He took back all the things he said about this popcorn being a tourist trap. We both preferred the caramel popcorn from the mix but despite that, I still wouldn't get a bag of just caramel. The sharpness of the cheese really complements the sweetness of the caramel. The price of the popcorn is pretty darn good for the amount you get. Needless to say, definitely grab a bag of Garrett popcorn before you leave Chicago. I will be buying more on my next trip.

Garrett's is known for their infamous Chicago caramel and cheese popcorn! Everything is made fresh daily and service was fast. If you're in terminal 3, I highly recommend making a quick pitstop before your flight to grab some!

They offer a wide variety of popcorn and are a Chicago staple. They have about 8 different flavors from Buttery to caramel peanut, caramel pecan, caramel and cashew, cheese, cocoa butter (Mix) cocoa mix. So many to choose from And they have different flavors on different days. It takes so rich and flavorful. It's a can't miss!!

Delicious popcorn founded in Chicago. Many flavors of popcorn are offered but my favorite is "the mix". Discovered this popcorn in New York City some years ago and I was hooked. You can order this popcorn online and have it sent directly to your home. While on a lay over in O'Hare Airport, I discovered Garrett's Popcorn. Purchased my favorite and it even tasted great 2 days later.

You must get yourself some popcorn from Garrett's before you leave Chicago! This is my second stop at this location and I will most likely always make it a stop to get my popcorn fix before heading home. Employees were friendly even though they had a huge line and it was closer to closing time so the inventory was running low. I got myself the Garrett mix in a small cute pink tin and it almost didn't even make it home. It's soooo addicting! Paid $15 for the small tin with the Garrett mix but so worth it!

I love this popcorn so much and had to have it!!! The staff...‍ I'm not sure what to think honestly but 1 of the guys who works here was awesome and he was really nice as we had a good laugh together. Lol I crack myself up sometimes. He needs to be cloned because his customer service skills were APLUS!!! A employee/lady on the other hand, was horrible!!! FIRST, there were only 2 of us in line and she was working on a ordered POPCORN tin, trying to seal it for a current customer... which took her at least 15min to do... but then, this chick picks up her cell phone after that customer being served, and started chatting away... WHO DOES THAT??? ON SPEAKER!!! WHAT IN THE... ON GODS Gravel, brown and GREEN EARTH, IS SOME OF YALL IN CUSTOMER SERVICE THINKING??? SHEESH!!! You're forgetting that we're in an airport meaning that, we don't have all day lady. Oh my Lord!!! I swear I can't make this stuff up!!! That's when THE NICE employee/ guy with great CUSTOMER SERVICE, came out to help. Thank you Sir, you saved us all from missing flights. Prese give this fella a day off and a raise please!!! SOMEBODY PEAR send uncover boss to check out this location because, some folks don't belong in customer service... forgive me if it were an emergency but ma'am you could've called another coworker to help out instead of just walking off screaming on speaker phone (which, didn't appear to be an emergency) and walking away leaving us in line hanging. She didn't even have the decency to call for backup. She was unorganized, unpredictable, and unprofessional to day the least! Leave your personal life at home ma'am. When it's freshly made and hot, their best-selling "the mix" is nearly impossible to stop eating for me. Good thing I don't live in Chicago. It's a lovely and surprising mixture of savory and sweet, smokey and tangy flavors.

CHEEESE PLEASE!! I had my first packet of Garrett's a few months ago!i Popcorn is one of my favorite snacks and this gourmet popcorn is a MUST when you're in Chicago . Absolutely Divine !!!!

Garret Popcorn Shop O'Hare Airport location. I am not a popcorn guy but my wife said it is tops. Ordered the Garret Mix it was good, but I am no expert. Long lines but efficient.

Last month, I was flying home from Minneapolis through Chicago O'Hare (ORD) International Airport. I had arrived at a C gate and needed to get to a B gate for my final flight segment home. When I got to the B concourse, I saw Garrett Popcorn Shops. Chicago mix is the popcorn flavour that Chicago is known for. There was a lineup at this stand. It was a sign that I should get some popcorn. I LOVE popcorn. Two flight attendants that were on my flight from Minneapolis lined up. They would definitely know what's good if they are always working this flight segment. Garrett has a ton of popcorn sizes in both bags and tins. The two flight attendants were debating getting the jumbo. Holy cow! If you can picture a long body pillow, the jumbo is that size where you can go to sleep hugging it. I feel like it may be a challenge storing it in the overhead compartment of any plane and that I'd need to get a plane ticket for it. It's funny, but I was in a caramel popcorn mood for my entire trip. I got a medium bag of CaramelCrisp popcorn. I was looking forward to trying it out. Staff at this store are efficient. I ordered. I then got a Diet Pepsi. I paid with a credit card and all was great. I thanked both women and happy walked across to my gate. I still had time before boarding. I sat down and munched on my popcorn. There were a few cheese ones accidentally mixed in. I was delighted getting a mini bonus of the Chicago mix. The CaramelCrisp was excellent. OMG! I was practically inhaling the stuff. The popcorn was crisp with the perfect amount of caramel coating on each popped piece of popcorn. So good! My mouth is watering as I reminisce about this popcorn. I finished my popcorn the next day back in the greater Toronto area. It was so yummy. Maybe I should go jumbo like the flight attendants. Between Garrett and Nuts on Clark, I prefer the former more. The edge is with the crispness of the popcorn. However, if I see the latter, I'm not going to say no to decent popcorn. This find was wonderful. It's nice that I can get excellent Chicago popcorn during a layover. (109)

Garrett's is hands down the best popcorn ever made! Growing up in the Chicagoland area, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed eating it every chance we got. Now that I don't live in Chicago anymore, it's definitely a treat that I must get anytime I visit. Thankfully, Garrett's was open in the O'Hare airport when we were leaving to go back to Virginia, so we made sure we ordered a few bags. My favorite is the Garrett Mix which is a mix of the Caramel Crisp and the Cheese Corn and it is the perfect sweet and salty combination! I've never had any of the other flavors but if they are as good as the Caramel and Cheese, then I know they are amazing! If you haven't tried Garrett's you are definitely missing out.

Stopped by as I had an extended layover for my trip and wanted to try the popcorn that my friends and colleagues love and crave everytime they past by Chicago O Hare. I got two flavors buttery and cheesy and both were good. Fresh and flavorful.

I love Garrett's popcorn so much that I don't have a picture.. I ate my Garrett's Mix (cheese and carmel popcorn) so fast I was unable to get a picture of my favorite Chicago treat. I used to stop by Garretts years ago every time I was downtown. Now, Garrett's is located in Chicago O'hare Airport. I recommend getting a large and save some for later. When I fly to visit relatives, I buy a bag for them. My family in Chicago and in other states all love Garrett's popcorn, great for gifts, and for yourself.

It's a Chicago thing. One simply must get Garrett's, the original, Chicago mix. I may have eaten just the caramel and left most of the cheese for my kid. Conveniently located at the airport, grab some on arrival or departure, or even both!

The popcorn is great, as always. The staff leave a lot to be desired. Literally shooed away while looking at the options after they were late to open. No biggy, stuff happens. But then when we all lined up once they finally opened, the person taking the orders was rude and brisk. The cashier was slightly better but condescending.

Delicious popcorn shop! Such a fun Chicago experience. Sometimes the line gets a bit crazy, but other than that, I would definitely recommend! We got the Chicago Mix - which is a classic. You might not expect cheese and caramel popcorn to be a good combination, but something about the salty and the sweet really works. Obviously, this is a novelty store and it's in the airport, so the pricing is high, but that is par for the course for something like this.

I was sent a Christmas gift from work consisting of a bucket of Garrett's popcorn. When I opened the package, the lid was not sealed fully and the popcorn was stale. Upon contacting customer service, they insisted on pictures of the tin (hardly eaten) and offered a credit that does not even cover the cost of their smallest size. It's very disappointing that my gift was a waste and they were not willing to make it right with a replacement. ​​

Delicious Popcorn, Horrendous employees! These were some of the rudest people I've ever had to deal with. The entire line was confused as we were getting scolded by the lady taking our orders. There was no relief as I went to the checkout lady. Rude, rolled her eyes, and was overall unpleasant. It's not THAT hard to try to have a decent attitude. Especially when I was being kind.

We obviously needed some popcorn to enjoy at home before we left Chicago. It's such a convenience that Garrett's has locations in the airport. This location was busy but the staff was quick and kept the line moving.

Sorry, no pictures because it was that good and didn't last! I heard this was a must while in Chicago and it didn't disappoint. I had butter popcorn and caramel popcorn. A small was more than enough as it was quite "large" in portion. A small was $3.99. The butter popcorn had REAL butter and you can taste the difference. It didn't even get soggy. The caramel popcorn was good also. Not overly sweet and it didn't get stuck in my teeth which is always a plus. Service was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a must!

While exploring the airport terminal I spotted this popcorn stand and my sister told me that it's a popular popcorn brand based here in Chicago. Decided to give it a shot and got the Garrett Mix (CaramelCrisp & CheeseCorn). Wow, this is some mighty good popcorn lol. The CheeseCorn is the typical cheese popcorn that I love. Bold cheese flavor. I'm not the biggest fan of caramel popcorn, but I still wanted to try the caramel popcorn here. I actually really like it! The crispness of the caramel popcorn is addicting, and I appreciate that the popcorn isn't overly sweet. At first I tried the two kinds of popcorn separately but of course *the* right approach is to grab a mixed handful and munch on the popcorn that way. The wombo combo of flavors. Ended up mindlessly gobbling up the whole bag while sitting near the flight gate waiting for the departure plane (hey, at least it passed some time lol). Highly recommend! The person in front me in line at the stand got a popcorn tin they intend to give to someone. Not at all a bad idea as a souvenir gift lol.

This Garrett's Popcorn shop is located to the giant brontosaurus replica, right by the entrance to Terminal 1's Concourse C. They used to give out free samples before the pandemic, but I'm not sure if they do anymore. The woman working behind the counter was hilarious. She was friendly, direct, and quick-of-service! Garret's Popcorn is AMAZING, and their Chicago Mix, constituting of their cheddar and caramel corn, is divine. Get it. You can thank me later. You're welcome. This is one of my go-to spots upon entering Chicago, which makes it easy, as it's right in the airport. Makes it super easy to bring home to wherever you live, too (whether traveling to or from Chicago)! Thank you!

It's been several years since I was introduced to Garrett popcorn. I didn't think it would any good mixing caramel with cheese, but it really does work! $10 for a large bag of Garrett mix and I was on my way to catch my flight. They really didn't mix the flavors very well, so I had to dig around to get a good handful. So good!

I ALWAYS search out the Garrett's shop whenever transiting through O'Hare. Get a large and take some home!

I recently stopped by Garrett's during my layover in Chicago Midway. When I reached the shop, there was no one in line. Since I was a first-time customer, i looked over all the different varieties. The two employees were engaged in shop talk behind the counter and seemingly uninterested in assisting me. The young woman at the register continued to air her grievance about management, etc. The second employee finally asked for my order and packaged it nicely. Again, the cashier looked very stoic and, in a very robotic fashion, rang up the order and flatly stated the total. After paying, the cashier pushed the two bags to me and didn't bother to ask if I needed a bag. She also didn't bother to thank me, either. For all the hype I have heard about Garrett's, this simple transaction didn't impress me. The popcorn is actually quite good, but the service levels are lacking. I'll give this place 3 stars, specifically for the popcorn .

Conan, Magic (he's surrounded with 10 bags at home), Beyoncé, President Obama and Joe Biden are fiends for Garrett. Many Republicans are closet Garrett popcorn obsessives. And rightfully so, I've been a fan too of Garrett popcorn (popped in hot air and coated individually with caramel and butter) since I've been traveling through Chicago's ORD airport. The Garrett mix is a combo of cheddar, light caramel and butter and is reputed to be Garrett's biggest seller. My fave? I love the pecan, cashew and almond Caramelcrisp popcorn clusters- the light caramel and butter glaze with fresh candied nuts is the stuff I keep buying over and over; sometimes when the craving is too much I mail order. Garrett's, is a mom and pop originated out of the family's Milwaukee home and transported the product to their first shop at 10 W Madison, Chicago since 1949. It's the best popcorn CaramelCrisp I've ever had. But wait; it's Non-GMO, gluten free, no trans-fat, preservatives free, and like in the days of yore, just simple ingredients. When you come to Garrett Popcorn, you will leave with orange fingers. I'm not kidding. The popular Garrett mix with cheddar and caramel is so addicting. You'll have one bite, and then another. Next thing you know, half of the bag is gone and your fingers will be coated orange. #storyofmylife Anyway if you love popcorn, this is one of those places you need to try. They have locations EVERYWHERE. If you missed it, get some at O'Hare airport. Hubby and I went here with family. They decided we needed a LARGE bag of the Garrett mix. I honestly thought, whoa that is too much. 20 minutes later, we decided we needed another bag. So damn addicting. Overall, I agree. You NEED to try this place. Get a LARGE bag or 2.Make sure to use the wet naps in the BOTTOM of the bag to clean your future orange fingers. You are welcome!

Located at the split of B & C gates so I was able to get some to take home. No line so picked up a bag of the Garret Mix. Hope it is as delicious as Chicagoans claim it is.

Everyone in Chicago told me that I needed to try Garrett Popcorn. My niece lives in Chicago and years ago blew us away with their caramel and cheese mix. I already planned to stop by and purchase my body weight in popcorn to return home with. I purchased several jumbo bags. They can comfortably fit two of them in a large shopping bag. Thankfully half of the seats were empty on my flight so I did not have a storage problem. Garrett's first fills up a wax paper bag with popcorn and afterwards stabilizes it in a sturdy brown paper bag.

TERRIBLE!!!! please management should pay attention to the way employees work and provide service to the customers!!! There were soooooo huge line and they even didn't pay attention to customers were doing their stuff ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS experience!!!!!!!!! Avoid this place to save yourself from stress!!!!‍‍‍‍‍‍ never again, even I love the Garrett popcorn I will never go again to the spot in airport

I travel a lot, go through many airports, whether in the U.S. or international. There aren't many airports I will either get there early or risk a little time on the connection in order to buy something to bring home. In CDG (Paris), I will wait it out for the Laduree macarons AND in ORD (Chicago), it is the Garrett Popcorn Shop. If you get off the plane right by the shop, you can smell the popcorn. The line can be long so if you are tight on your connection, you may have to pass. Well worth the wait to bring home a taste of Chicago to your friends or family. Pretty fast service but the only one suggestion is when line is long, bring on a second cashier. They'll probably get more business that way.

Popcorn as amazing. Fresh and delicious. The employees were super nice and give you such a great vibe. Super friendly. Highly recommend this popcorn you won't regret it.

I usually stop in when passing through Chicago. The young ladies that I have encountered there have always been nice and provide a fast service. I especially enjoy the buttery and the mix. Handy snack for the plane ride or while you wait.

Garrett's cheese popcorn is the finest cheese popcorn on the planet. Period. Stop. Garrett's caramel corn is even better than the cheese corn. Period. Stop. Life's hard choices .........

We always buy 30 to 40 tins for our clients for Christmas. I went to pick up the tins and I was told Garrett Popcorn no longer accepts cash. I now will never shop there again. We did not take the order and will not do business in the future because you have to use credit. Very disappointed!

Oh Garretts Popcorn How I love thee! Why oh Why do you not have a shop In Charlotte NC? There are so many transplants here that would support you , Please oh Please come here. I am sitting here eating the Chicago Mix which is Cheddar ( the best) and Caramel. I can think of nothing else except that I am in heaven right now. Thankful for my daughter who was in Chicago on business and thought of her Mama starving for the Popcorn that only Garretts can supply. I am a Food Snob and for me to be totally whacked out over this Corn it has to be the very best !

Garret popcorn is very popular and the caramel and cheese popcorn combination is very tasteful. Stand in line anytime and smell the aroma of the popcorn. Buy it at the airport if you forgot to pick a bag in Downtown Chicago.
