A 48-Hour Itinerary for Córdoba, Spain

"Garum 2.1 is known for its visual and culinary surprises, such as incorporating an old Roman wall into the restaurant. Chef Juan Luis Santiago creates innovative dishes like cod cocochas al pil pil with roast lamb kidneys and salmorejo soup with prawns, apple, and anchovy. Mariola Jiménez guides wine selections."

I am so impressed, no wonder why the restaurant has got many prizes. The food, the quality, the service and the atmosphere are great combination. Carlos is so attentive and very service-minded, I love the way he presented every single dish when he served the food. Their Salmorejo, Pulpo con Oreja Ahumados and Boquerones en vinagre rellenos de tuétano y anchoas are recommended. I will definitely go back and will recommend this place to my friends and family.

One of the top meals of a two week trip all over Andalucía. As some mentioned a rare breed waiter is a big reason why. Octopus with fried pig ears over creamy potato purée was best of show. Also oxtail, Artichoke with seafood, and Torrija all solid. Full review on Eatingwithziggy[.com]

the bistronómic tapas bar, that is not a tapas bar: "no, we are now a restaurant". Somewhat clunky service in the beginning. A waiter who speaks limited English. Later he warmed up, and got more friendly & more spirited. Dishes are fabulous, surprising combinations. Traditional dishes with a modern twist. Good wine, both white and red. Waiter refused part of our order as it would be too much food. A bit unusual, but he was right. Lovely place, a must visit while in Cordobas.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. Service was excellent and not intrusive. The food was really good. I ordered the goat leg, which was on the specials and my wife the beef as main courses. The wine, starters and desserts all great. I couldn't fault anything. This is the kind of place that I would go for a special occasion.

Very pleasantly surprised. This is not the typical tapas restaurant. We ordered the tasting menu. Every bite was delicious. The bread and olive oil are amazing. The presentation was beautiful. Carlos was our waiter and the service was exceptional. There are many other things I would love to try on the menu so we will have to return. Prices are higher than the typical local restaurant, but well justified. There is also a good wine list with very reasonable prices.

The Garum Tapas Bar was a positive surprise on our trip to Cordoba. The restaurant offers a good choice of very particular and tasty Andulisian specialties, which you usually do not find in other restaurants. In addition, the wine list contains an excellent selection of regional wines, and the sommelier made a perfect recommendation based on our preferences. The quality and taste of the food were perfect, and the service was kind and courteous. The prices of the plates and the wines are decent, considering their quality. The ambiance is pleasant and contributes to an enjoyable evening. Like any of my reviews, of course, this review is related to the type of restaurant, the restaurant's gastronomic objective, the overall gastronomic quality of the respective city, and the general context and needs to get compared to similar types of restaurants.

First time Here, because of good Rating. And ... It was really outstanding. Every dish was a surprise in look and taste. Very harmonic and sophisticated. We had a couple of starters to share and so we did with the Dessert. Eine recommendstion as well as the Sherry recommended with the goat cheese was highly appreciated. Super friendly service with compentence. They love to host guests. Environment was Clean, friendly, welcoming modern style. Please don't Change anything. 5 Stars are well deserved. Muchas Gracias.

My partner and I shared a wonderful and unique culinary experience - the flavour combinations, creativity and unexpectedness of the dishes was an absolute delight. The service was additionally a pleasure and we would absolutely return. A particular strength was the dessert selection, with some memorable flavour combinations blending the line between sweet and savoury! The salmorejo amontillado, with all its wonderful toppings, was also particularly good.
