Gas Monkey Icehouse

In town for work and stopped in for lunch. Sat at the bar and Shelby introduced herself and Jess. Great atmosphere and food was very good. Shelby and Jess both made sure to check on me and were great to talk with. Very happy i stopped in, it’s what I needed after a long work week. It’s a very cool place and some nice Hot Rods. Shelby knocked it out of the park giving me a reason to return. Edit: Returned before leaving the Lone Star State to head home after a month and I give Emma props for continuing on with the great hospitality and making this a place to want to come back too! Had the Smash’d Burger this time and it did not disappoint! Steve

A great vibe! Plenty of seating and cool place to chill! The menu is great- something for everyone and the drinks are fantastic!! Shout out to Joey our server! Kept the atmosphere fun! And made sure we were fully taken care of!! Must haves: the fried pickles, loaded nachos, and surprisingly the Brussel sprouts !!

Edit: went back to try after they had been open a little longer and the second experience was much better! Tried a few different things from the menu. The nachos were LOADED and could serve four people as an appetizer easily. I like that the fried pickles are spears and not chips. They have a pretty awesome happy hour as well! This is a pretty neat place. Really big and loud! Cute view of the pond. The food was not impressive. We had crispy Brussels sprouts that had no crisp and a veggie pizza that was burnt black on the bottom. Tasted so bad. The drinks were tasty, but this isn’t a place I would consider going to again.

What used to be LSA Burgers is now Gas Monkey Icehouse. And while LSA Burger has lost its touch, at least in this location, Gas Monkey thrived. I still love the visual esthetic of this place, but the food is outstanding. Easily one of the top 4 best restaurants of The Grandscape with the others being Thirsty Lion (which is still the best of the 4), Walk-On’s, & Perry’s Pizzeria. Service was friendly, prices are reasonable, and the food is freshly cooked. The only minor issues I have are A) the music being too loud, B) a little too much seasoning on the fries despite them making them very addictive, and C) the hours from Monday through Thursday being severely limited to only opening in the afternoon which I think needs to change. Plus, redo the opening on the right side of the street. Gas Monkey Icehouse is a great place to eat, and I definitely recommend anyone who visits The Grandscape to check this place out. To me, Gas Monkey Icehouse succeeds where LSA Burgers failed.

Great place to catch the game and a few brews! Plenty of TVs, great prices on beers, and food was good! Loved the patio! They were playing rock when we went, so was a nice vibe! Service was also great! Would go again!

Spacious restaurant with different areas for sitting , outside with natural light in an inside patio, bar and second floor with more space. Great service, very kind and friendly waiter Delicious burger and nice refreshing made in house iced tea. Fully recommend.

Great place for a brew and some food. Beer selection is pretty decent, food menu has both burgers, pizza and some more healthy options. I had the crisp chicken burger with regular fries, which was really good. Fries had a good seasoning that was really good. There's 3 different hot sauces on the tables, two red and a green model. Skidmark being the hottest and that had some taste to it, let me just say that!

No Richard Sightings!! Food was good. Carlos was awesome, beer very cold. Atmosphere very cool! I would certainly recommend if u are visiting the area. We were in from Michigan for a Wedding!

Sylvia waited on us and she was so personable, helpful, knowledgeable and had good advice on drinks. We laughed a lot. She is AMAZING!

Great good, with an amazing atmosphere! We sat outside with a great view of the restaurant, we ordered the tres dips the guacamole and brisket queso was also very good! The salad and grilled cheese was very tasty, the service was also fast and easy.

Server Levi was great. Food was good. Super helpful staff!! Good fries. If ya got time, stop out.

The best part of the restaurant is the building and ambiance itself. The outdoor area to have food and drinks is cool and would be fun for a few drinks to watch sports. The food was mediocre and was a few steps above average bar food. The grilled cheese with bbq is okay but could easily be made at home with the same quality. The pepperoni pizza is alright but not the best of Plano. The crust is what lowers its score. The nachos are solid and get the job done. The service is solid and there are very nice people working there.

The worst service I've ever experienced. Our server couldn't be bothered to be present long enough to take the entire table's orders at once (there was 6 of us). He would disappear into the back for 10-15 minutes at a time and would come back empty handed. Took several times of us asking for our drinks before he slowly brought them out one by one. My first soda came out in a dirty glass and the second came out with no ice. Once we ordered our food one persons "order" came out almost immediately...it was cold and clearly had just been sitting in the kitchen for a while. We had to track down a manager to make sure they remade her burger and that her new burger would come out with everyone else's food. Once food did come out, 4/6 meals were made incorrectly. We couldn't even ask to have them corrected because our waiter was no where to be found. Honestly, this place was terrible. Don't waste your time or money.

The food was good. The menu is limited however what they do serve is very tasty. Lots of beer on tap and various varieties in bottles and cans. The of the main attractions is the open courtyard with plenty of TV's to watch the game as well .

First time at Gas Monkey and I really like the atmosphere. You can sit inside, outside, upstairs... and the food was really yummy. We got the peppi monkey and the gorilla, which are their popular pizzas. The peppi monkey was my favorite and the gorilla was really good too. Kind of like a taco pizza, but we got the hot honey on the side, since it was kind of spicy. Overall a pretty nice spot to visit.

Had a very good dinner here!! It was quite busy since it was during happy hour but luckily got a table in about 5 min. Service was very good. I'll say we went there thinking it was LSA Burger but to our surprise, it was Gas Monkey. TVs around the restaurant was good. They also have the outside area as well but since it was hot, we chose not to sit outside. Food was good too. We will definitely go back.

They just opened and the prices on their menu were wrong. They did not honor the lower price in the menu. The waitress had a bad attitude because we came as a bigger group. Spent almost two hours there and was waiting the last hour for my second drink. I had to get the manager to finally get my tab. Will not return.

Gas Monkey Icehouse is a great sports bar with tons of seating and TVs everywhere--no bad view of the game. The food was fine, though the chicken on the nachos could use a glow-up. Huge parking lot and a beautiful outdoor-ish area that's perfect for hanging out. Would definitely come back for the vibes!

The barkeeps were friendly and attentive while we waited quite a while for a table. Unfortunately the service was poor, and we had to go request someone to wait on us. We weren't in any hurry to eat, but the food service was slow. The menu is limited but we found a good sandwich to share. The ambience was nice with a large open air section for dining. I wouldn't likely come back given so many other choices nearby.

This place is pretty cool, inside, but otherwise quite a letdown. Service is actually dreadful! We waited to get served for 20 minutes and finally asked for a waiter. Even still we sat and waited for refills, etc for a long time. The food was okay...the brisket grilled cheese kind of tasted like something you'd get from Jack in the Box. Tasted...cheap? I ordered sweet potato fries and they didn't even communicate that apparently they were out of them?? Basically my order just showed up with normal fries and when I communicated this, the employee just said "we are out of those" and kept walking. Besides the ambience, the redneck fries were good! Overall a letdown and probably just trying to capitalize on the tourism instead of having actually decent food. Shame.

Came on a Saturday night and arrived at 550pm place was packed 55min wait !! We got lucky and grabbed a seat at the bar to wait and had we not been waiting on more to join us would have Jsut ate there. We got a drink and enjoyed the activity. Place is open and lots is seating options up and down stairs. I got a frozen margarita and it was good! Nice and strong so worth the 11.00. To our surprise the table was ready in 25 min!! We got a great seat upstairs over looking the outside atrium area. Staff was slow getting to us(waited about 10min) finally asked someone to come take out order and a young man said he would even though we were not his table?!! We were not in a huge hurry so we didn't overly care. We had the loaded fries (DELISH) and then ordered entrees. The portions are big and the food good. We ordered sweet potato fries and didn't get them?!(2.00 up-charge) the young man who brought the food Jsut said "oh we are out of those" the waiter (who wasn't supposed to be waiting on us -insert eye roll - NEVER came back to check on us after we got the meals?!! We did finally see him again for the check and asked him to remove the up charge for the fries we never got . However , Dylan was amazing! He was coming by and clearing plates, asking us how we were Doing and even apologized that our server never showed up (that's why we got the other guy) . Every time we saw Dylan he was working! He was helping everyone! He was upstairs helping bus tables, then downstairs stocking huge jugs of water then taking someone their food. Dylan is a HARD worker. He never stopped. Not sure what his job title is but he worked harder than 10 people put together! If you are reading this and know Dylan let him know he really made our experience and that's why I'm giving the extra star!

Joey is VERY on top of everything. Came here for a business meeting. Ate dinner, had a few drinks. No complaints here. Will be back!

The crispy Brussels sprouts sauce was AMAZING, the steakhouse burger was great & I'm glad to find somewhere with fried pickle spears! The sweet potato fries could have been crispier. The service was great, but the downfall of the night was the pizza. We had two slices and the rest was basically inedible due to how burnt the crust was. We did let the server know and apparently they're still "working out the kinks" so hopefully they can do that quickly because the pizza was ruined.

Overpriced and over hyped. Food is ok but pricey, beers are pricey. But you can help the metrosexual Richard make more money if you stop by.

We arrived about 6pm on Saturday night and had a 40 minute wait. We were seated about 6:45 and our server was great and attentive. We sat on the patio and even though it was hot outside the patio was kept cool with the shade sails and fans. We ordered the Tres Dips (the dips are very small), chicken quesadillas and smash burger with sweet potato fries. It was all good. We sat by the kitchen door where all the food came out and it all looked good. Lots of pizzas being ordered!

One and done. Terrible service. Started swerving my meal and then let me know the chef had refused to cook what I ordered. Closed my tab and left. Weird vibe. Think tourist trap.

Pizza is overcooked and not great. The appetizers are small portions. The pricing is very expensive for what you get in general. They have good beer specials but the mixed drinks are mostly premade and terrible. Had a aperol spritz and it came out terribly. I've been there 3 times now and every time was disappointed with the service

First time here! Sat at the bar and met Shelby! She was absolutely awesome! Despite the fact she's a Chiefs fan we will definitely come back to see her! Go Cowboys!! By the way, get the Gorilla pizza!

Amazing service, amazing food, & amazing drinks!! The atmosphere is fun, a very chill place and the layout is great. My favorite part was the drinks. They are strong and good. There are 2 bars on the first floor and another bar on the second floor. I loved everything here, will for sure continue coming here with friends. Also, they have UFC fights!! The owner made an appearance while we were here and he was truly amazing. He was checking in on customers and made sure everything was running smooth.

Classic bar foods, great atmosphere, and staff are friendly and inviting. We didn't have a reservation but only waited about 30 minutes. Got the frozen margaritas per our server's recommendation. She was lovely and not wrong they are strong!

First time for a late lunch today, place looked ok, could see where it would be fun place at night I guess. Sat in back area and server care over right away and seemed nice. Got the menu and noticed it was pretty limited so as I always do asked for suggestions. She pointed out the brisket grilled cheese and sone of the apps, mentioned if I liked Brussels sprouts they had a good appetizer. So I went with her suggestions. About 5 minutes late the fried Brussels sprouts in a Korean kimchi sauce came out. It was tasty but it was drowned in the sauce. Way too much. About 3 minutes later my sandwich came out. A little quick since I had an appetizer but ok.grilled cheese was a little on soggy side but was ok, fries were ok if you like heavily seasoned. Overall just an ok meal. Service was good though. Probably should have just gone to Portillos as I had planned.

Came to meet some friends after work for Happy Hour. Shelby took great care of the entire group. Kept up with drinks and food. It had a great vibe and enjoyed hanging out in the courtyard area. We'll definitely be back again.

They recently opened here. The food was great! We ordered the queso and chicken strips to start. The queso is good but the chicken strips are awesome! We also ordered the gorilla pizza, burgers, and hot honey chicken sandwich. They were all very good. The chicken sandwich is massive!

Went on a Monday night so it wasn't too busy. Waitress didn't seem to have much experience waiting tables as we had to ask her for straws and grabbed our own silverware (to help serve the thin pizza) from an empty table but she did refill drinks and came to check on us here and there. We ordered 2 pizzas: pepperoni and Gorilla. They are large thin crust pizzas big enough to feed a couple of people each. Pizza comes out hot so it's best to wait a minute or two before grabbing a slice or else you risk all of the cheese sliding off your pizza. The Gorilla pizza was amazing. Those that had the pepperoni pizza also enjoyed their food. We sat outdoors and even though it was summer it was comfortable due to the large overhead fans and canopies. I would eat here again.

I visited for the first time this past Friday around 3 PM and chose a seat at the bar. Initially, the bartenders were quite welcoming, but after the shift change, the really short blonde bartender seemed a bit irritated and wasn't as friendly. I didn't try the food since I was just stopping by for a few drinks before heading to another place across the street. The interior has a cool vibe with gas monkey decorations, but the layout is a bit odd with the open outdoor seating in the center. It looks like a great spot for fun summer days. I plan to return with my family for lunch one day, although they are a bit hesitant because my brother-in-law had a negative experience at your previous location years ago, which is no longer in operation I believe.

Very limited menu...loud music Ordered the fried mozz...no flavor Ordered the pepperoni pizza.... Very salty....sauce not good..... Paid 60 dollars for a lunch with my husband.. .not worth it at all.

If you're interested in seeing this place, you better go soon. I don't expect it to last. Terrible service and the food wasn't good either. I came with friends and we had a total of 6 in our party. We had a few appetizers that were ok and I ordered chicken fingers as my meal. They weren't bad but they were chicken fingers. Kind of hard to mess up. Others had wings and they were undercooked. One person had a burger that came out barely warm. Our drinks took forever to be served and our server was annoyed when we complained. I will say that a manager came over to speak to us and comped everything. We did appreciate that after all of the problems we had. Unfortunately, none of us are interested in returning. There are too many other places around there that do a much better job.

Jess the bar tender was so friendly and fun to talk with. My husband and j sat at the bar and just had a couple of drinks. I'm not a big beer drinking but the crackberry cider was great!

Came there during the first week. The service, food, and ambiance is fantastic. The Green Chile chicken sandwich was the best around and can't beat the prices! Been a fan of the show for years, and was able to finally meet Mr. GasMonkey himself! Highly recommend!

Went in at 430pm on Saturday. Was told 45 wait. There were 10 open tables with no reserved sign on them. We left and 2 other couples waiting did as well. Unsure as to why they would hold that many tables with no large crowd at that time.

I want to preface that our server was very polite but he didn't seem to know what was going on nor did it seem like he had ever waited tables or learned the menu. My friends wife had a chicken sandwich and she said it was good. My friend and I didn't see our food until after she had finished her sandwich but no big deal. Order the pepperoni pizza and it was pretty...bad. The sauce tastes like tomato paste. We ate a bit of it (starving) but told the server. Cool looking place though we won't be back. Limited menu and not that great to begin with. Never saw a manager after we told the server we didn't enjoy our food.

My family and I came to eat for the first time, my husband is been a fan for a long time and wanted to try it. We got there and the hostess told us to sit ourselves and we request a high chair and the hostess gave the high chair for us to carry it. We were fine we sat no menus, no waters. Then finally the server came to us after 10 minuta and ask what we like to drink we look at at each other. We order water and one soda. We waiter another 10 minutes no drink no menus. My husband and I have worked in the service industry for years and this is not okay. At least the waters. We decided to leave. Not coming back.

Love the patio weather!! Food and drinks were great. FYI the only thing they need is TVs. Don't let them seat you upstairs enjoying the weatdownstairs

The atmosphere is amazing and the service was even better! Joey was one of the kindest servers I've ever had and seemed genuinely happy to be serving us! We had the Gorilla pizza and the brisket grilled cheese with fries! Both were so yummy but my favorite was the Gorilla! I loved all of the meat and the size of the pizza was perfect to share or have some leftovers. We also tried their Summer Squeeze cocktail which was so refreshing! Highly recommend this restaurant!

My husband and I decided, we would meet friends of ours at the newly open, Gas Monkey Ice House, for a few drinks Sunday afternoon. And very happy that we did, The food was not your average bar food - it far exceeded any local sports bar that had been to. They have more beers on tap than you can imagine. But the true review is about our server, it was a delight having her take care of our needs while at the Gas Monkey. So if you guys get a chance to check it out, you might ask for our server., which was Lara. My husband and I back, if you need a food recommendation, I highly suggest the smash burger..

Classic case of a family next to us, arrived after us, closing out their bill before our food came out. Then, 3 of the 4 orders were wrong. Cheese of my son's grilled cheese not melted at all, rock solid. Nothing taken off the bill. Last time eating/drinking here.

I felt the food was really good and the atmosphere is fun with all the TVs. There is an outside patio area that looks nice to eat on but it's hot and I don't do well with the heat so I prefer inside. The service was great. The server was very attentive. I think his name was Fisher or something not sure if first name or last not good with names
