The Best Food and Drink Events in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"A large convention venue in Duluth that stages cultural festivals featuring performances, workshops, anime programming, scavenger hunts with prizes, and an array of food vendors and pop-ups. One upcoming festival there highlights Japanese culture and food options from vendors such as Beard Papa’s, OK Yaki, Gekko Sushi, and local pop-ups like Musubee ATL, with general admission tiers in the $15–$20 range." - Beth McKibben

I spent some time here exhibiting at the national franchise show. This is one of the nicest conference centres we have exhibited at. Everything seems like it’s brand new. The design is beautiful covering multiple levels with picturesque elevations. There is a lake in the middle, nice Westin hotel and plenty of parking. I would highly recommend this venue for any event.

Attended the 2025 Japanfest. The facility was massive enough to host this very large event. The staff did an excellent job directing those with prepurchased tickets to the lower level entrance and those needing to purchase tickets to the upper entrance. Parking is plentiful. The festival made full use of the main floor for food and vendors, the ballroom for demonstrations, and the upper rooms for special exhibits and classes. The beer garden outside housed an excellent selection of food vendors and a small stage.

JapanFest — A Nostalgic Visit It really brought back memories of those days in Norcross High School, when my friends and I used to come to JapanFest together. It’s been three or four years since I last went. There were classic cultural highlights like Sumo and Kendo, and even hands-on experiences such as archery and sword-cutting demonstrations. Up on the second floor, the Hands-on Experience area featured bonsai, ikebana (flower arrangement), and shodo (Japanese calligraphy) — all worth visiting and exploring. The biggest highlight this year was definitely the “LINQ” idol group performance — their sweet voices, energetic choreography, and youthful vibe filled the entire stage. I couldn’t help but feel, deep down, “Ah, youth is truly wonderful.” Picked up a “To You” CD, grabbed some Japanese street food, and just soaked in the atmosphere. 🎶💖🇯🇵

It was my first time at the convention center. We attended the Japan festival. It was jam-packed full of people. There was a line that was a mile long just to get inside. There were lots of activities with food and booths. There are parking garages right across from the convention center which is very convenient.

I did not that there is such a beautiful convention center in Duluth. Last weekend,I wisited the Bellpoint Gem Show. I really liked this place. There are many multi floor parkings, but don't park to hotel's parking lots.

We went for a reptile expo. Our biggest complaint is they were NOT prepared for the very large crowd so it was a bit chaotic when everyone first got in. However, everyone was nice and friendly. The facility is bright and clean. The bathrooms were very clean. The restaurant did a great job keeping up with the demand. Overall a good experience.

The convention center and event space was a really nice place for the LEGO show. The building was new, modern, and very clean. My only complaint was that the food offerings were extremely lacking. They were out of many things, the workers were really unclear about what was available, and it was a very odd ordering process. We ended up not eating here because they were out of so many things.
