As a chicken keeper and an egg cookbook author, I'm pretty picky about eggs I eat when I'm traveling, but I decided to give the breakfast burrito a try at Gaslighter and I'm so glad I did. It was delicious and a nice portion size. Stuffed with some spicy sausage that gave it just the right amount of sass. The coffee is good, far better than you get at most hotels and the avocado toast was also perfect as a lighter breakfast option. Things like a bagel or yogurt bowl round out the menu. In the lobby of the Wayfarer Hotel, Gaslighter is worth checking out for breakfast if you're in the area. Lisa Steele Author of The Fresh Eggs Daily Cookbook

Calling all Australian’s 🇦🇺 The team at Gaslighter know how to do breakfast! David, Erica and Liz are awesome hosts. The flat white (yes, they make flat whites) espresso coffee is as close to Australian standards as we have found whilst being in the US. The food is amazing!!! Greek yoghurt with fresh fruit ✅ Breakfast burrito ✅ Avocado on sour dough with micro herbs and fried egg ✅ ✅ Loaded tots (a tasty Australian version of an American classic) It’s worth the visit if you are staying downtown. It really is.

Was not expecting much for it being a hotel restaurant but man was I wrong. Best breakfast burrito I ever had. I got the ultimate breakfast burrito and wow it was so good and tasty. The red sauce that comes with it was also delicious. So glad I ate breakfast here

Amazing matcha latte with unsweetened oat milk. Really great service!

25$ for an avocado toast and it was a slice of toast with guacamole. The service was terrible the girl got our order wrong twice.

This is such a convenient spot inside the Wayfarer! We were able to take advantage of breakfast on a Saturday morning. Unfortunately their coffee machines were down, so they only had drip coffee during our visit but it came with unlimited refills, which I appreciated! I opted for the avocado toast and added a fried egg on the side- so yummy. The avocado toast was fresh and the bread was the perfect pairing with tomatoes. They have hot sauce to add and various milks to choose from for the coffee. My sister opted for the breakfast burrito and said it was incredible as well. I highly recommend this spot!

Food was alright. If you're staying at the hotel, it's good to grab something down in the lobby. Wouldn't recommend going out of your way for it thought. The carne asada breakfast burrito was nothing special. Didn't have any exciting flavors and their salsa had an interesting flavor. It was really dark and almost smoky, something I'm not used to with breakfast burritos. Wasn't a fan. The loaded breakfast tots were decent. Again, nothing overly special in regard to the flavor. Customer service was okay I guess. I waited about 30-40 minutes for my food. When I asked about it, the guy was confused I hadn't got it yet and went to the back to check on it and came back with it immediately. No telling how long it sat there but it wasn't warm when I got it. He wasn't rude about it, just not a great experience service wise

Lobby breakfast area that has a good selection of food and beverages. Got the breakfast tots and the portion size is just right. It was busy when I got there, so it took a little bit for the food to come out. Cool drink wall is available for those adult beverages

Sooo disappointed . . . again. The first time I stayed in the hotel this cafe is in, I had an amazing (!) smoked salmon bagel. I come back to this odd and expensive hotel in part for the easy access to the sandwich (really). Today I discovered they've replaced their meaty helping of actual salmon and cup of actual cream cheese with a "salmon dip and cream cheese" cup; essentially salmon cream cheese. So sad. So unappetizing. I guess I can go back to staying at the Hilton up the street. Sigh.

Veery very good breakfast! Evrything so fresh! The place is really cute and comfy. The service was very good too. The Smoked Salmon Bagel was VERY GOOD!!

Breakfast review: I ordered the French toast. For $18 you would think it consist of more than 3 half slices of bread with very little fruit. Yup that's it. Not worth it the price. The employees are super nice though. A bug fell on my friend while we were waiting on the food. Looked like a roach. We decided the breakfast overall was very subpar especially for the price. For $18 it would be nice to have someone besides 3 half slices of bread.

We stayed at the Wayfarer Hotel DTLA and this was in the lobby area.. The hotel gives you 10% off voucher. I got a cappuccino and matcha latte. For food I had the avocado toast which was very good and everything tasted fresh. Hubby had the tater tots and it was great, the portion is big it can be shared. If you don't feel like leaving the hotel to get breakfast this place is good for you. They have some bakery items as well.

fast and good food, good size proportions. super easy and convenient if your staying here
