"They brew Intelligentsia coffee here, and make a mean macchiato, though it's their work with a chai (and alternative milks) that is really winning hearts across the city. They also serve insane donuts. There are two outposts very close to each other (roughly Greenwich Village and Little Italy)."

Google
Super cute coffee shop! I really like that it has an entrance/exit on two sides!

Google
Great little coffee shop that serves delicious drip. I was on the hunt for a new coffee place to try and came across Gasoline Alley coffee which like the name suggests, is situated between two streets and has a cool walkthrough layout. The staff here were friendly and the line moved quickly. Location is great too as it’s right off the subway stop so super convenient. Overall great coffee place to add to my rotation of morning drip runs.

This place it’s actually amazing, its cozy, not expensive, chill and quiet. The barista was really nice and it was perfect for the break we needed after a long walk

Google
This was my first time at this location of Gasoline Alley Coffee, and it shall not be my last. I was in the area, and wanted to have a cup of coffee, and spend time with one of my journals. There was no indoor seating available, but this was a nice, mildly warm sunny day on a Saturday, in the Lower East Side, after 3:30PM, so I was not surprised there was no indoor seating available. The coffee was very strong, the apple pastry was lovely and delicious. The staff was super professional and the person who took my order was very outgoing and friendly. I did not see a bathroom, but was not looking for one, so it is OK. Being Cuban, I can fully appreciate a strong cup of coffee, and look forward to returning, when I AM back in that area.

Google
Awesome coffee place. It’s a grab n go place, however there are several benches outside if you want to sit. Its a really cool place with great coffee and also $1 pastries. Tried cortado for the first time and it was really good

Google
Wedged into a wedge formed by Mulberry, Lafayette, Bleeker, and Bleecker Streets—Gasoline Alley is cozy-ish coffee shop with a mix of modern and classic element in its aesthetic…nonetheless, coffee is served hot and strong whether you’re ordering an Americana or Latte unless you’re ordering something iced, but i digress. it’s very much a good vibes casual coffee spot that i enjoyed over the years. there’s a little bit of seating inside and on the sidewalk, but it’s very much a grab n go for caffeine versus a place where’d you camp out. and this works for me as lines move quick when i am running through NoHo. friendly-ish staff who deal smiles without a pause. a good place to catch your breath and enjoy a caffeinated brew.

Google
Amazing spot for coffee! Good amount of outdoor seating available, perfect for people watching. The coffee was definitely expensive but also very delicious. Highly recommend!

Google
Today I suddenly felt very unwell, and I sat down on a chair in front of the cafe in a hurry. (Maybe the problem was the food I ate at another restaurant a few hours ago.) I didn't make any request, but a very kind staff brought me water. I was so sick at the time that I couldn't express my gratitude properly. I take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude for her kindness💕She is my life's benefactor😇 I ordered coffee after I felt better. And it was the best coffee I ever met in New York. Here, both the taste of the coffee and the personality of the staff are excellent.👍

Yelp
Nice vibes, pleasant music, friendly baristas and delicious pastry from Delice (NJ) and local Balthazar. And reasonably priced for NYC! I was in the area for a minute and then thought to get some morning coffee. As the friendly barista said when I said it was my first visit: "You've come the to right spot!" The cortada held the perfect balance, and my only suggestion would be to possible warm the pastry. Still, delicious and I'll be back.

Yelp
The coffee was really solid and the drip was really really cheap. The iced coffee was absolutely amazing! The vibe in here is so bright and welcoming. 100% will be making stops here when I'm in the area! I love the open concept of being able to walk in from either side! You can't go wrong here, try it out next time you are in the area or walk by!

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop, with entrances on both Lafayette and Mulberry. I tried the Tea Lemonade ($5+), which was good and not too sweet. It's a small place, but they have a couple of seats by the window and some benches outside, which was perfect for a quick tea break.

Yelp
I think it's a little expensive... + 0.75 cents if you want an iced drink and +1.25 if you want non-dairy milk. Adding a syrup flavor is also an additional 1-2 dollars so you can definitely count on a $10 latte if you want to change anything about it. I got the spinach and ricotta croissant which looked better than it tasted (I didn't really like but I still ate it). I think it was actually whole wheat? I'm not sure but it wasn't very tasty for me. It's a cute little shop but maybe for once in a while only
google avatar

Love K.

Yelp
I'd rather not have a coffee shop tell me that making my drink cost $0.75 more for it to be iced whilst also adding $1.25 for non-dairy milk and another $1-2 depending on the choice of syrup. An iced vanilla latte cost me right under $8 for a cup. It was probably my favorite iced coffee during my trip but coughing up the money hurt my heart. Ps. Zachary Quinto seems to be a regular here which was pretty sick.

Yelp
One of the underrated though excellent Espresso makers in the whole NYC . The Consistency of Quality is what make this place A sure bet that you will get EXACTLY what you are looking for and in my case - pure straight espresso. Highly recommended!!!!

Yelp
I'm no coffee sommelier, but I've had more than enough fancy coffee to have a serious opinion about what's good. Gasoline Alley is the one place in the city that can make coffee the way I like it. That being said, they might not make it the way you like it. I like my coffee to hit so hard it blows the plaque out of the veins that run between my brains and my junk... which are arguably the same thing. Anyhow, you decide. Five stars from the Underground Man

Yelp
But why am I paying $8 for this cup of water? Was unfortunately my thought when I was halfway through this cup of coffee. Latte: 1/10 As many of you know, New York City is overrun by coffee shops. So with that being said, I would skip this one. Although their baristas know how to do some cool latte art, and are really nice, the espresso is not good. My latte with oat milk was extremely watery and disappointing. Drip coffee: 5/10 My friend got the drip coffee, which was okay. It was strong. He poured the milk on the counter into it and attempted to mix it but the milk just coagulated. Definitely not worth your $8 in the morning. Sorry.

Yelp
- great iced oat latte $7 - a few seats with an excellent open breeze on both sides of the building - courteous staff - clean venue!
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
Very small inside so you're just grabbing to go. But the service was quick and friendly and the coffee was great! Only complaint was that they don't have lids for cold beverages. So we had to finish coffee before continuing shopping bc no one is going to let you in without a lid!
google avatar

Janet L.

Yelp
I like the open air concept. The staff was very nice and service was good. I tired the lavender latte and it was a miss for me the lavender was very hard to mix and I felt it was lacking in flavor for me.
google avatar

Kevin W.

Yelp
I stop by here almost daily when going into my nearby office in SoHo, and it's always lively and bustling, which is a great sign. The staff here is incredibly sweet, going so far as to remember me months after I had last visited (once COVID restrictions began to loosen) and offering a complementary coffee for visiting again. The window-side seats are great for taking in a breeze and people-watching. Their pastries are also great, with the olive oil cake being the standout.
google avatar

Yelp
Coffee was pretty good, but the bar for coffee is already high in nyc at an artisanal place like this, so really it was nothing super special. Horribly overpriced though! The cortado I got was not inherently expensive for ny coffee, but they charge an extra $.75 for ice and an extra $1.25 for alt milk! That would've made my cortado $6.75... (I stuck with cow's milk bc I couldn't stomach paying that much money for espresso on 4oz of oat milk). The lady who took my order was very sweet and totally sparked up conversation with us! The area itself is also pretty cool because it's got a street side entrance on both the right and left side.
google avatar

Howard S.

Yelp
My favorite place for a quick espresso. No bull crap kind of place. Fast and furious service. Espresso is rich, creamy, and not too bitter. Ambiance? There are a couple of benches outside - on both sides of the place - Mulberry and Lafayette... where you can drink your coffee and catch a few rays of sunshine. Otherwise you can sit indoors, at the window counter. Sometimes there is a line out the door but the line moves very quick - as long as everyone knows what they want! Not much to eat but that isn't the point of the place. All good in the neighborhood!
google avatar

Gianna S.

Yelp
Definitely worth a stop here for a coffee if you're in the area! Their coffee is very strong in flavor and they had about a dozen milk and non-dairy and creamer options which was great. There is a bench outside but otherwise very limited seating options so more of a grab-and-go style.

Yelp
I stopped by randomly one morning because it was packed in there. Ordered a hot vanilla latte and it was one of the best lattes I've ever had. I was genuinely sad I'm when I finished it. Can't wait to be able to have one again.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a cute coffee place right off Bleecker street. The thing I like most about this place is being able to walk straight through the shop as they have an entrance on both ends. They do take their time to make their drinks so expect to wait 5-10mins for your espresso beverage. I always get their dirty chai with almond milk. Their chai syrup is not too sweet which is nice. They also have an amazing selection of pastries (the blondies are wonderful). Definitely stop by if you're in the neighborhood and grab a seat out front for some cute people watching.

Yelp
One morning I woke up feeling a little hungover and a bit spontaneous, I told myself "screw it, I'm getting coffee somewhere new today" and have been coming here pretty much every morning before work for about a year since then. My go-to is an iced coffee, but every now and then I'll switch it up to a latte or dirty chai depending on my mood. They bring in their baked goods from a few local bakeries and the selection is so perfect for whatever I'm craving. The cheddar chive biscuit, almond croissant, and pumpkin bread never fail. A few of the baristas greet me by name when I come in, sometimes I'll keep it short while other times I may be a little too honest with my response to "How's your morning?" But regardless of what I say, there's a good chance the rest of the staff will chime in and make it a bit of a short conversation and I really appreciate that. The people working here stand out from your typical Manhattan baristas when it comes to social interaction/customer service (by "typical" I mean trying to be friendly to whoever is taking your order only to get an eye roll when asking for whole milk.) BUT IN CONCLUSION the coffee is great and you can expect a pretty consistent order every visit, the staff are not your typical douchey baristas, and the hole-in-the-wall atmosphere gives a bit of an exclusive feel. Check it out!!

Yelp
What can I share that hasn't been shared about gasoline alley coffee already? No shortage of coffee spots in the area but gasoline alley is supreme. I usually get my cappuccino with oatmilk, almost religiously at GA and it is fantastic. The service is always efficient and never ever snooty. The location of this specific store is awesome too, makes for excellent people watching on a nice summer afternoon. Highly recommend when you're in the Nolita/Soho area.
google avatar

Yelp
I mean......that was an amazing cup of coffee. While wandering through Manhattan and in need of some caffeine I stubled upone Gasoline Alley just because it was nearby. I ordered a flat white and my friend J ordered a cappuccino and we were both blown away by the flavor and quality. No lines at about 2 in the afternoon and friendly staff. It's a cute little space too with doors on both sides and very minimalist decor. There's a very small counter by the window so this is more of a pop in and leave kind of place than a linger and catch up with a friend location. Still, if I'm in the neighborhood again I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Stopped by here for a quick coffee and got the chai latte. Overall not bad! There are some benches outside for you to sit and the staff are friendly as well.

Yelp
Very interesting name and cup design - ordered an hot oat milk latte on a slightly chilling day- warm me, and worth trying

Yelp
Stopped in from a friends review, and got an iced mocha. Absolutely loved the balance of sweet and espresso, no syrupy taste which was much appreciated. Great ambiance, friendly staff, and is near the subway. Not much seating but it keeps it less crowded that way I feel so no complaints from me. This was a great little find, and will always recommend for people to stop in for their caffeine fixes!

Sophia K.

Yelp
A hidden gem - I've never truly loved a coffee place before this one & they make the best vanilla oat milk latte. Probably the only place I don't regret spending $$ on a coffee. Love this place, baristas are nice, they're always speedy and the flavor is just SO good. I have sent multiple friends here and they all agree :) Minimal seating but definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area

Jose P.

Yelp
I've been coming to this excellent coffee spot ever since I started working in Soho a few months ago and since then I've started every morning with my double shot espresso and almond croissant with a unique, fresh, delicious almond paté inside. This week I find out that they swapped it with some garbage excuse for a replacement? very sad sight to see if this is a measure to start cutting corners. if I wanted a flat croissant with almonds sprinkled atop it it I can just spend 2 bucks at my corner bodega. Keep your local business. not alienate them.

Yelp
Two entrances...one to the right, one to the left. Four metal chairs...two to the right, two to the left. Two long tables...one to the right, one to the left. Two simple wall menus...one to the right, one to the left. Symmetrical it is. This space is simple and it has a mix of modern and alley vibe with a slight hint of old fashion. Food wise, I ordered the Truffle Cookie and the Almond Matcha Latte. The Truffle Cookie was sweet and decent in size. The Almond Matcha Latte was smooth and had more of an almond flavor rather than the matcha flavor. Total price? About $8ish for a 12oz latte and a cookie...a bit expensive for something low key. This place is conveniently located by the 6 train near my morning commute so I might come back again to try their caffeinated drinks another time. Credit cards are accepted.

Yelp
Great coffee, horrible staff! But the staff was the rudest I have ever experienced in my life. This was just after they re-opend from COVID and I walked in (apparently through the wrong door) and the barista screamed at the top of her lungs at me, as if I had just thrown hot coffee in her face. There was no sign or indicating which door I should enter or exit. The barista then refused to apologize, instead blaming me for going in the wrong door. I will never return to this coffee shop even though they have great coffee. Thankfully there are dozens of other coffee shops in the area.
google avatar

Chantel Y.

Yelp
Coffee and staff are great here. I bought a cheddar & chive scone here and it definitely wasn't my favorite. Not cheesey or flavorful enough!
google avatar

Eloy V.

Yelp
The positive - it's a really cool set up and vibe. Unfortunately, my experience and coffee was not great. I ordered the vanilla iced coffee but it tasted like peanut butter. Also, the customer service wasn't great. She was a little rude to us. Not sure if I would come back with some many good options in the area

Kristen P.

Yelp
Cute little spot that makes a great iced latte. They have an awesome branding too, their logo looks like a logo on an old mechanics garage which is dope. I'm Glad I stopped in!
google avatar

Natalie K.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious almond milk latte!!! One of the best I've had!! Awesome espresso and super smooth latte. I will definitely come back despite it being very pricey. $4 for a small 8oz latte and extra $1 for almond milk. A treat!! Cute latte art too Small store and no seating. Just a counter so grab your drink / pastry to go
google avatar

Isha T.

Yelp
basically a hallway in the middle of stores and it's a coffee shop, went on our way back from KITH nearby and the coffee was great
google avatar

Farrah B.

Yelp
Nicest guy around with really strong, tasty iced coffee. They have multiple options for milk so I was able to enjoy my beverage without distress. They also have confections, I had the salted dark chocolate cookies (dense and delicious). Nice place to ppl watch as well. I'll be back.
google avatar

Edwin R.

Yelp
Great coffee inside a very small space! The coffee shop has two entrances on each side of this odd sliver shaped building. I really liked the branding and logo, but the coffee really kicked my ass! Strong as hell and tasted great. So happy to have found so many great coffee alternatives to Starbucks. Only downside was that there weren't as many drink options as I would have liked. I'm also not sure if they roast their own beans or not. I asked and I didn't exactly get a straight answer. The coffee was good either way.
google avatar

Tatyana H.

Yelp
Great place! High-quality coffee. Good prices. Amazing stuff. One of my favorite places in New York city
google avatar

Ami Y.

Yelp
I was trying to head to The Alley but I've given up when I realized how hard it is to get there with the N/W local trains suspended and the bus that's never coming, and when I saw Gasoline Alley Coffee right next to me. Once I spotted that salted caramel doughnut from Supermoon Bakery, the boba idea went out my brain. The iced coffee can be better but I was quite happy with my doughnut in one hand and the coffee in the other on this hot day. Even though the place doesn't have a lot of interior seating, it was nice to sit right outside the coffee shop on either side of two streets (the coffee shop has two exits facing two streets).
google avatar

Keyla N.

Yelp
They make the most delicious Dirty Oat Chai latte ever. I get it every time I go to Soho, which is a lot. Their baristas are always so friendly and have cool stuff to say, not just your average how are you or how's it going, within is refreshing!!!
google avatar

Lucy Z.

Yelp
Easy, convenient location and super simple, clean decor! Solid coffee :) I really like that there are two doors for easy entrance/exit. Only one barista making drinks though so it's not a grab and go. But the menu is simple enough that even coffee noobs can get what they're looking for. I grabbed a latte with gorgeous latte art and even with the milk, I can still taste the fresh beans. Mmmm. -1 star for the lack of seating :( There are only two 2-seat counter seating and it's hard to stay around and wait for a seat. That's unfortunate since I would love to stay longer.
google avatar

Anne Z.

Yelp
Cutest little hipster coffee shop! My friend ordered a latte (mainly for the latte art lol). But it turned out to be delicious and creamy. I myself ordered an americano, where I just added a touch of half and half. The first coffee I had in a long time that wasn't so acidic and burnt tasting (I'm lookin at you Starbucks). Very bold yet smooth flavor! I could sip on the coffee all day if the caffeine didn't drive me nuts. The inside is super clean and inviting, open space concept. Next time I'm in NYC I would definitely hit this place up again! Totally recommend if you're on the lookout for some deliciously smooth coffee
google avatar

Tina W.

Yelp
wow I am so surprised that Gasoline Alley Coffee has my favorite taste of coffee- strong, less sour but very condensed with caffeine! Gasoline Alley has multiple locations now and I visited this place at Soho. The place is small, where limited seats are possible. But decoration is clean, and warm at the same time. The barista was nice and allowed me to take my time and choose what I want instead of rushing me through ... Thanks so much for allowing myself to have a cozy coffee time that day. Of course, I went for Americano but also ordered a latte. Both are wonderful. Like I mentioned before, americano is definitely strong and flavorful. I should've asked which bean they used (P.S they have their own roasted beans) and latte art is absolutely phenominal. Price: average price compared to others. Overall: yesssss this place is as good as box bite!! Those two are my fav and if you are in NYC craving for great coffee experience, this is your destination!
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
Ran in here for a coffee after a run the other morning and service was quick and friendly. A latte ran $4.50 with a $1.50!!!! up charge for oat milk. I have to be honest, I found that to be steep, even for the area, considering that the latte came in a pretty small size. The coffee itself was just fine. I'm generally a black like my soul coffee drinker but an occasional latte is how I treat myself and this really didn't feel like much of a treat. Maybe it would have tasted better if they upcharged me a reasonable $.75 for my admittedly hipster non-dairy milk choice, not totally sure.... I might give them another go to get a plain coffee/espresso but only once I'm a little less butt hurt about my $6 latte.
google avatar

Isabella J.

Yelp
A great find in a busy area. Gasoline alley is small. Don't plan on hanging here or posting up to get some work done. It's quite literally perfect for a pitstop to fuel up. Simple menu. They serve Intelligentsia coffee. If you're in the area and in looking for a solid coffee shop definitely bookmark Gasoline alley.
google avatar

Nicholas D.

Yelp
I love La Colombe but I like this coffee better, they serve Intelligentsia beans and they use La Marzocco os hard to get to wrong... of course you get the latte art and the price that comes with it.. the space is clean and elegant, a good place to do meetings...
google avatar

Cayla T.

Yelp
5 stars for the PERFECT temperature hot chocolate. Hot enough to keep my hands warm but not too hot where I have to wait to drink or scald my tongue. Also had great flavor and a cute design! The staff was very trendy and worked quickly. I definitely will stop by again!
google avatar

Yelp
Gasoline Alley Coffee is an absolute gem. Helpful friendly people. It's awesome!! Friendly, warm, welcoming, professional. Can't go wrong!
google avatar

Elaine H.

Yelp
Discovered this little naughty place on my daily run during the weekend, so adorable! Heard that they used to only accept cash, but now both card and Apple Pay, huge plus for me as I never carry any cash with me myself lol. Skinny cappuccino was well brewed and very balanced. I'm looking forward to trying more of their pastries as well! Bonus point: they serve both chai latte and matcha latte, for those green tea lovers.
google avatar

Love S.

Yelp
Gasoline Alley Coffee is the perfect stop for fantastic coffee. I love the size of the space and the large open windows and doors on either side. The architecture is industrial/modern and just the overall has a coolness about it. The guys working here were playing some old Grimes and signing along to it with the high notes and all. Ace.
google avatar

Janet L.

Yelp
I'm usually more of an iced coffee with cream and sugar or mocha drinker, but Gasoline Alley's black iced coffee is really good on its own. The first time I dropped by, I balked at the $4 (tax included) price, which is on the expensive side for iced coffee, but it's worth it IMO. The baristas have a friendly vibe too. I kinda wish they didn't have Underwest donuts though cause those are the only donuts that tempt me. :P They are cake donuts with interesting flavors.
google avatar

Elsie W.

Yelp
I've been here many times and love to stop by when I go to REI nearby. Love the openness of this place, such a small space but they really made good use of it. Snag one of their two counter seats and people-watch! They also offer some pastries (I tried a spinach one, pretty good!) Great lattes. AND they take credit card!
