Gasthaus Apollonia

This restaurant was an absolute treat. Thomas was so welcoming! So cozy and the food was delicious. Yummy daily specials with surprisingly large portions…we were stuffed when we left. Would love to come back again!

This was our top restaurant stop here in the Bolzano area. The decor and atmosphere were wonderful and welcoming and the sun setting on the distant Dolomites made it magical. The food was a mix of creative flavours with a home cooked feeling. Best of all was the service. The family of staff was charming, caring and so absolutely friendly. They were the highlight of our visit. We hope to have the opportunity to come back again in the future.

This is one of the best places I went to during my adventures in Bolzano and surroundings! Everything we had was so delicious, the staff was very courteous and they explained us everything so clearly, it was so lovely enjoying the dinner here with great views and good environment! We'll definitely be back here, a presto 🙂

The drive up to the restaurant is quite challenging. One gets rewarded with a great view. The food was good, although my veal ribs were a bit dry. Great wine list 👍. The staff was very kind and attentive.

2 Wochen im voraus reserviert. Wir mussten erstmal 40 min auf den Tisch warten. Nachher fast eine Stunde fürs Brot und Getränke und nach nochmal über ner Stunde hatten wir endlich gegessen. Der Platz war extrem unangenehm und zwischen Küchenlärm und Kaffeemaschine hat das fast die eigenen Gespräche übertönt. Dazu absolut unfreundliches und gestresstes Personal. Unangenehme Erfahrung. Edit to address some points mentioned below: We stated that we would arrive between 12:30 and 1 pm. So we mistakenly assumed that we would have had a table when arriving at that time, instead of around 13:20 And for the wait times, the 45 minutes check out more or less. "Gegessen" translates to had eaten, which includes the eating time. Maybe it was not clear enough on my end. That doesn't make it better that we had to wait an equal amount of time for drinks and bread. The staff was acting almost annoyed. Mostly ignoring us, an visibly disappointed when we managed to get their attention. The only friendly waiter was the guy that read us the menu. Visibly stressed, but still polite and accommodating. I am not sure its a good idea overfilling the restaurant and reducing the quality of service. Because the food was actually really great.
