Second time at Jägerwirt — first disappointment. It started right at the entrance: the waitress simply pointed with her hand and said “go there” (we had a reservation). Let’s count: 15 minutes to get the menus after being seated, another 15 minutes to get our drinks, and another 30 minutes to get our food. And the cherry on top — the food was cold. Really cold. I could understand if it took 30 minutes to prepare something exceptional, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The waitress didn’t even ask if we enjoyed the food or if we wanted a second drink. Overall, quite a disappointing experience for what used to be one of our favorite places.

Excellent Traditional Cuisine All the ingredients are fresh from local producers. If you want to experience a good Bavarian food with the test from organic ingredients, this is the place to come.

Now I know how Bavarian food should taste. The pork knuckle was amazing and huge (must be ordered in advance) We ordered 2 between 5 people. We ate, fit to burst but still took half back. Their house salad contained six different components including potato salad, ALL homemade (at last) and delicious, a very different dish to the many sloppy/bland, shop bought salads we have been served in inner town restaurants we have tried. The food, service, venue, location and price was spot on and the perfect last dinner of our trip to the region. No wonder our friends chose Gasthaus Jagerwirt without question. It may be a little way out of town but we'll worth a visit. The packed tables of locals seem to agree. Booking strongly advised. Enjoy

Cozy old Bavarian farmhouse restaurant with a beer garden. Traditional Bavarian dishes are offered as well as a daily varying menu of contemporary Italian inspired foods, prepared from fresh ecological ingredients. Everything very tasty and well prepared and served. A real gem of a local restaurant in a rural community of Oberbayern.

Perfect dinner & ambient!

26,50 EUR for two shrimps, four spears of asparagus, and a potato and a half. Was a nice place with nice service, but the prices are unconscionable.

This is plain and simply, one of the best authentic German restaurants we went to near the Munich area. The service was superb and attentive. The wine was enjoyable, and the food was great: Wiener schnitzel, tenderloin, and asparagus!! Service was provided under the shade of huge trees. But as it turned out, the restaurant was also full indoors.

Our go to restaurant here in Bad Tölz, Germany, Haxn is really a celebration for us, succulent, tender inside and a very crispy roasted skin to munch on, the best, never have we been disappointed, all if not most menu items are really well prepared and presented nicely, try once & you'll be hooked

Visited family and friends here in Germany, and they so generously treated us to our very first meal here at this amazing restaurant! It was our first time trying each dish that was served us, and EVERY one was so scrumptious! Especially the Schweinshaxen or pork knuckle! So crispy on the outside, and tender throughout! Generous portions for all dishes. Service, is the best too! This is a warm, cozy restaurant, where they make you feel at home! Loved it so much, we went TWICE before returning home to Hawaii. Can't wait to come back. Definitely a must try for anyone visiting this area! Good food. Good friends. Good times. Great memories!
