Gasthaus Rathauskeller AG

An interesting one. Staff were great and they had a great selection, offering both a seasonal menu and a normal one. We opted for the salmon and pumpkin soup to start and while the soup was delicious there were quite a few hot spots which indicated that it was reheated, possibly in the microwave??? Hence four stars instead of five. Our main was absolutely scrumptious. The suggested wine while delicious was clearly too sweet to accompany the main. They have a decent selection of petit fours though!

Food was so delicious. It looks simply put together but taste was surprising. This restaurant is in a beautiful building built 500 yrs ago and one might think that it feels like a tourist trap. Service was excellent, attentive and welcoming.

We had lunch here on a weekday and chose from the menu of the day. That menu was not in English, but the waiter answered all our questions, so it was easy to choose what we wanted: soup (because it was cold outside) and deer meatballs with polenta balls and vegetables (ok, not a great translation, but the best I can do...); dessert was caramel mousse and apple rosti. We really liked the food, and the desserts were great too, because they were not too sweet. Service was nice and fast, and the room looked very nice. Will surely go back in the future.

Delicious food! Swiss casserole was out of this world. And fantastic service - the waitress was probably the nicest I’ve ever met in my entire life. Dear owners, please, promote her somehow :) it was the young lady and she served our table on the first floor last Friday

The best lamb meat balls can be found here! They are to die for. A perfect restaurant to meet with friends. Friendly staff and a wide choice of dishes.

Good restaurant. Swiss priced but really good. We took the chicken and the roti which was amazing, the cordon bleu which was good and the dessert was also good. Daniel, the waiter was super friendly, helpful and really made the experience amazing. Highly recommended!

Very nice restaurant in Zug. Staff was super friendly and attentive. I think it is a good place for business lunch as it has good atmosphere. The price range is high so it might not be for everyone but good for some occasions. I will come back again and recommend anyone to give it a try.
