Gasthaus Sternen Post

We didn't stay here, we were camping nearby and came to this location for dinner after a long hike. It is for sure a fancy place and with our dirty clothes, hiking bags , we looked like we doesn't belong there, soo if you are visiting this place, I suggest well dressed. It is also a bit more on the expensive side for the location but it's something we felt that's worth. The food was fabulous and the dishes are presented very well. The tastes complement to each other and the service is perfect. The ladies, even though they didn't speach much English, were very sweet and helpful. They have basic but really good choice of drinks and we had a decent amount of drinks, mainly wine. If you want to treat yourself after a long hike or just want to have something special or just can spend some extra on good food and drinks, I would recommend it.

We passed by during a walk from Kirschzarten. We didn't have reservations but could still come in to eat. It was the most amazing food I've had in a long time. Service was excellent and very friendly as well. Just amazing. I highly recommend eating here of you can.

Very friendly hotel. Staff did everything to accommodate our requests and they helped us to translate the menu into English. Location is amazing, so beautiful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Couldn't have asked for a better experience- thank you!

The Sternen Post in Oberried is one of the best places you can go to enjoy real local and regional food of the Baden area in Southern Germany. Simply cooked to perfection, Chef Lutz has elevated traditional recipes to new levels, whilst never forgetting the roots of some of the very typical dishes of Baden. You will find many classics as well as new dishes. No Shi-Shi, no trends, nothing on your plate which should not be there. They just canceled our reservation for Christmas Day that we made a month ago without a real reason except to say that they had a big group take our spot. No apologies, no gift certicate for leaving 13 people without a spot to eat for Christmas.

Great lunch menu with very creative offering. Great service and excellent value. Perhaps more options for dessert.

Nice and clean rooms. Breakfast okay. Dinner is espensive but good. Excellent service.
