Excellent Hotel. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and tastefully furnished. The staff were very friendly attentive without being obtrusive. Both the breakfasts and evening were excellent. An ideal location for exploring the Black Forest . Definitely recommend and already planning a return visit

Great hotel with good staff. Nice breakfast. DO NOT go to the kebab house within walking distance of the hotel. They tried to scam me. Insisted I pay 29,00 for a 12,50 pizza. I didn’t do it. Typical scam.

Expensive price for lack of comfort and unfriendly staff. Nice building in central location. Unfriendly staff, felt like they were doing us a favour by staying there. The room was extremely hot so we asked for a fan since that was not provided in the room, which is strange when it's 30 C and no AC. Reception said they didn't have fans so we were almost ready to check out. Then we asked the cleaners for a fan and they were very friendly and gave us one directly. The staff and management of this hotel need to consider why they even are in the hospitality business. No fridge in the room. At least the cleaning staff and one blond older woman at breakfast was friendly.

We enjoyed our time here. The furnishings were rustic but very clean. It is right next to a church and views include mountain sides covered in beautifully laid out vineyards. We found the staff very attentive, but they know very little English. Breakfast was simple, but good. The restaurant downstairs had very good food, just pricey. You are only about fifteen to twenty minutes from Freiburg if you need to head that direction, or the other direction takes you on a beautiful drive through the Black Forest.

The food and wine were excellent. Very friendly staff. Rustic looking dining area has the feel of old Bavaria.

Beautiful traditional hotel and restaurant; good rooms with very comfortable beds though no toiletries in bathroom. Excellent restaurant serving locally sourced produce and served by waitresses in dirndls. Very picturesque setting right next to village church (the bells don't start till 6am). ||Room 17 was lovely. On 2nd floor with no lift but a nice little Juliet balcony with table and chairs. Plenty of seating. Picture is of view from this room

I was given a beautifully refurbished room with two large windows and a balcony with a café table and two chairs. |Light and airy, spotlessly clean and excellent quality bedding. |Sadly I arrived on Wednesday and that’s the day the (reputedly excellent) restaurant is closed. Next time. |Parking is easy and the hotel is in the village centre for a short stroll. |Reception and breakfast staff are a delight - very friendly, very welcoming. ||Price is very reasonable.
