Gasthaus zum Riesen

Restaurant denied us service because the server lied about how long we were waiting to be served. We got into argument and the manager sided with the lying server. They told us that we cant order food. My baby started crying and my pregnant wife felt sick. There were thousand ways to make this right, yet the manager decided that we cant order food. I don't remember being treated like this in any restaurant before... I don't even know if its not against the law to deny service to customers this way.

The beer was very good and prices were average. The location is excellent and we had fun shopping before coming in for a beer. We found a table right away. The service was pretty good but seemed rushed considering it wasn't busy. I felt like the server wasn't very helpful with us because we didn't speak German. If we'd had some time we would have tried the food it looked delicious. If we get the chance we will absolutely come back.

Very good food in an historic setting !

Great food in the restaurant but horrible wait service. Waitresses were not eager to help, not even trying to show hospitable attitude (we were polite the whole time so it's not like a drunk noisy person complaining). We came to Miltenberg specifically for this restaurant but compared to how we were treated last year and 2 years ago, after this time we will hardly come back.

I loved it here. I want to come back and stuff myself with this delicious food and try more beers. They're friendly with dogs and even gave us an empty plastic tub for keeping because we forget a larger water bowl for our dog while in town. Fully recommend this place.

A cosy place in the heart of Miltenberg. Suggest to make a reservation. The restaurant is open all day but lunch ends at 3 PM. Lot of beer options too. Food is good. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The prices are ok. Recommended.

This review is for dinner. We had a large group for dinner. Service was very unfriendly. Food isn't as good as it used to be

Katastrophe! Service and kitchen are a TOTAL DISASTER! We waited for 2hours for 3 orders of 6 and another hour for remaining 3 orders! Place completely to avoid!!!!

Very good food and nice to have some alternate bier in the land of Kölsch. Nice view of the river park.

Authentic, cozy, old, small restaurant. It is better to book a table in advance. Large selection of beer. There is an opportunity to try many Beers in the form of portions of 100 ml. Very tasty traditional food: potatoes and cabbage. Thank you.

Very nice location in the old town, a beautifully restored old hotel with an interesting selection of beer varieties. I had pasta which was very salty, pasta overdone. Another dish at our table, liver, was okish, but burnt at the edges. Good for a drink, I would not recommend to eat there.
