This place is honestly just ok, that's the best way to describe it. I had been trying to eat here for a long time and could never get a table, and the reviews are so positive that I figured this place must be absolutely incredible. I will say, the service was excellent, our waitress was so kind and really was wonderful. The wine selection was just ok, and the food was just ok. The Swabian ravioli and the stew was good, definitely the best things we had, and while the stew was too salty and the ravioli was a bit bland, those dishes did have some really good flavors and textures. The lentils and sausage was once again, just ok, a little bland, and the weiner schnitzel was honestly a big disappointment as the texture was oddly soggy. I also asked for sauce with it since there's normally a mushroom or cream sauce that accompanies that dish, and I was told this place doesn't serve that. The quality of the veal in the schnitzel was really lacking, and the breading was not well done, it tasted like someone had poured water all over it. The bread pudding was once again just ok, just overall bland with not a very good texture like the other food I had at this restaurant. There are places just in Mohringen alone that serve much better Swabian cuisine and for better prices, therefore I won't go out of my way to come back here.
