"You can sense the dedication of hosts Rita and Domenico Miggiano-Köferli, who, since 2000, have been running this lovely inn that is steeped in history. As well as tasteful, individually decorated guestrooms and Gaststube (their everyday restaurant), Löwen is home to Apriori, a fine dining restaurant that has held a MICHELIN star since 2018. The elegant modern interior is done out in warm dark tones and has designer lamps and exquisitely laid tables. Chef-patron Domenico Miggiano puts his heart and soul into his cooking. His culinary style is a modern take on classic cuisine, with Mediterranean accents. In the evening, the "Signature" set menu comprising four or five courses is served, with an optional additional cheese course. The "Business Lunch" deal is popular. The fantastic wine list featuring approximately 350 labels provides a brief description of each winery. The charming maître d' is a trained sommelier and her recommendations are excellent." - Michelin Inspector

Löwen - Gaststube

"Run by Rita and Domenico Miggiano-Köferli, Gasthof Löwen's second eatery is a delightful and more down-to-earth alternative to the fine dining restaurant. The atmosphere is inviting, not least because of the warm hospitality provided by the waitstaff. The freshly prepared, flavoursome dishes include pan-fried Lötschberg perch fillet with lemon thyme and almond butter, and Zurich veal ragout with glazed vegetables and butter rösti. Vegetarian options available. Popular lunch deal." - Michelin Inspector

My experience with the veal escalope was exceptional; it was cooked to absolute perfection. However, I was quite surprised by the hidden charges for items like coffee and tap water, even in the Gaststube. Although the prices are on the higher side for a restaurant outside of Zurich, the overall quality of the food and service largely warrants them. I strongly believe that price transparency is essential. I am more than willing to pay a premium for the excellent quality you provide, but hidden costs undermine that value.

This restaurant is truly exceptional. The menu boasts a diverse selection of vegetarian, meat, and seafood options, each prepared with exquisite care and bursting with flavor. Every dish was a culinary masterpiece. I can't wait to return.

This is the perfect place to stay, even if you're only waiting for the flight the next day. The quaint outdoor patio is relaxing, with great service. The indoor lounge is fun. There is also a comfy cigar lounge upstairs if you like cigars, and scotch, this is the place to hang out. In the evenings, the local folks come and hang out, which gives it a nice family feeling, many speak English, so you can hang out with them. The owner is amazing, very knowledgeable, fun and generous. Do you want some delicious food? Well, this is the place, it is all fantastic, big plates to fil any belly. There is a take-out chicken kitchen on the premises as well, and I tell you, first class eats. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast - the best fresh croissants that I've ever had. I would definitely stay again.

A pearl tucked away a little jump from lake Zurich. Super friendly staff. Good cooking with TLC. Small but nice winelist. Feelgood food with a touch of class. Private dining room option available. Truly enjoyed it. Thank you for a most memorable night 🙏👏👍❤️ Loved the bread. Fresh and delicious. Menu was well presented and very tasty. All cooked to the point. Especially the lamb was magnificent. In situations like this it is such a privilege to be a guest. Looking forward to returning. Chapeau ❤️

Great ambience, extensive menu, delicious food, good wine and friendly service in traditional surroundings. Waiting staff are all dressed in typical Swiss outfits. Spent a very enjoyable evening at this excellent restaurant.

Amazing food! Great fine dining experience with the highest quality of hand selected ingredients. Different appetizers including pulpo carpaccio, gravlax, seared tuna with avocado, bündnerfleisch & gruyere "millefeuille" ..(delicious gluten free options available).. very nice presentation of the food on nice plates. The dessert was extraordinary; a strawberry and pistachio combination. I can recommend this to everyone that loves good food and wine.

Rooms are refurbished and beds are comfortable with clean big room but no AC in the room and gets too hot in summer. If you open window then one side of hotels is busy road while other side have church which rings the bell very loudly every 30 min. You can't sleep due to bells if you open the window. You could possibly hear TV sounds from next room at least in my case. Very basic breakfast buffet just bread. jams and boiled egg plus cheese and coffee. Had croissant for one day and when asked next day. They said we don't have more. Few min later a person walked in for breakfast and he was provided the croissant. Its was big let down. Won't recommend.

I was in Bubikon for a four-day business meeting and this is my company's preferred accommodation. ||||It was delightful. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the breakfast was good. ||||The staff were very friendly and polite.||||I guess the only down side is that there is no air conditioning in the rooms. The local Church clock can be a bit annoying after a while as well.||||I must mention the beds, though. Usually, in European hotels, you might as well be sleeping on the floor, because the beds are so hard. Not here, though. The mattresses are foam, so support just right and are very, very comfortable. ||||If you don't speak German, that's not a problem either, as the level of English is very high.||||All, in all, I'd highly recommend Gasthof Loewen!
