Gather + Grounds

Been to Gather and Grounds multiple times and have never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is very welcoming, place is always clean, hard workers are always so nice. They make a lot of their ingredients in house and you can tell, coffee is fresh and the food is delicious.

A beautiful space withba beautiful mission! Plenty of tables and seating available and also a fun game/play area for kiddos. Service is always friendly and the breakfast sandwich is delicious! They also sell fresh baked (1 day old) bread.

Met a friend for breakfast here and we already plan on returning! Everything was wonderful! From the employee answering our questions & taking our order, to the one making our breakfast sandwiches with the crispy bacon we requested, to the one checking on us later to see how we were... everyone was kind and helpful! I'll definitely go back for another breakfast sandwich... the biscuit was large and not too crumbly, and it beats the one at the Golden Arches!

Delicious cold brew!!! I also grabbed a couple of donuts (glazed and chocolate) and they were a solid 4/5. My friend said they were a little more greasy than he would have liked, but that the dough and icing were really tasty. Staff were friendly and it’s a huge space to sit and do work for a while.

Perfect spot for a great start to the day! Friendly folks working, great coffee and food. Will be back!

Fantastic Services and Atmosphere, with great coffee and sandwiches to compliment. My wife and I finally made it out to visit this coffee shop. We're both fans of their mission and service to our community in centerline. If you're on the fence or haven't tried this place yet, it's worth it!

I decided to try out a new place for a minute, not expecting to stay. When I came inside I realized how nice a big the atmosphere was, not crowded so I stayed to work. The coffee was phenomenal and the food… was.. amazing. I haven’t had a breakfast sandwich this good! The staff were all super kind and helpful. Definitely would come back and recommend!! AND prices are so very reasonable.

I'm in love with this new coffee shop! Everyone here is wonderful and friendly! I got the indigo tea iced and it's this beautiful purple color with great flavor. The quiche and bacon egg cheese biscuit are very tasty and the other baked items are great! They are partnered with the rising star academy, where they get all their baked items from! It's a business with a great cause at heart, so I just had to show love and support it! ☺️

Came in to use the space for a virtual meeting - super quiet with only 2 other people in the space. Greeted when I walked in and service was really fast. Cold brew with a shot of caramel was yummy. Lots of tables and little sitting areas for whatever your needs are.

I was in the area and decided to try a new coffee spot. I give them an extra star for the vibes, I like the outside of the building and the inside is very spacious. When I walked in, a staff member walked toward the 'register', barely spoke when I said "hi, how are you?", and suddenly walked away before I could say my order. Another person walked up to serve me. Maybe the first person was going on break? Either way communication would have been nice. I got a mocha and almond croissant. The latter was so dry and flavorless, I tossed it at the trash can outside the building before I drove away. The mocha just wasn't good: weak coffee flavor and somewhat bitter chocolate flavor. I couldn't finish that either. Looking at the other reviews, maybe they were having a bad day? For me, mediocre experience, much better coffee shops out there.

Went to work while in town. They are only open 7-2 now for a variety of different coffee and craft drinks They also offer a assortment of breads and baked goods. They have a pretty decent menu. I tried the chicken pot pie and it was pretty good. I didn't look pretty on the plate, but the food was pretty good. I went early in the morning as soon as they opened I was waited on by a young man who took my order and help me choose what coffee order I wanted to try . A great place to check out if you want to meet with friends in the area for coffee or have a nice quiet bite to eat, they have plugs along the walls and a strong Wi-Fi signal definitely will visit again

Finally made it here after it's been on my radar for a while and it didn't disappoint. Nice large sitting area, which would be a great place to have a meeting such as a book club. They have fresh baked bread, muffins, croissants. I loved my almond croissant. My iced matcha latte was good. I was impressed that the workers came around to make sure we were doing good after we had our drinks and food.

Experience photo-documented with comments. Ambiance. Huge. Spacious. Could break up the space with more grouped seating and plants. Comestibles and potables. YUMMY. Excellent items on the menu. Will come back to try more. Service. Fabulous. Friendly, engaging, and kind. Overall, will come back.

Decently good coffee and lots of space to sit, I tried the lavender latte with oat milk and the lavender flavor was a bit bitter/not very sweet so I recommend adding some extra sweetener. The sign for the shop was not visible from the road, so just look for the brightly painted building with a mural on the front.

I loved the fact that everyone who works there are mostly special. Needs. The sandwiches are awesome and made with so much love. I haven't tried everything. But their coffees are great too. So give them a visit and show some love. The service is excellent. Too. Jimmy johns has lost a. Customer. This is the place to go for sandwiches or anything else. I love how inviting it is too everyone is so friendly it is very warm and comforting to walk in to. Great atmosphere. Their cold drinks and pastry are good as well

If you are in the Center Line area, stop by Gather and Grounds. We only had lunch, but it was excellent. The Italian sub was on a fresh sub roll with tons of Meat and cheese and plenty of toppings. The lavender lemonade is excellent as well. Will be back to try more of the menu soon!

The welcoming murals on the building to the relaxing and inviting atmosphere inside is nothing short of spectacular. Service from the friendly and courteous staff is above anyplace else. Everything they serve is made with love and from scratch. From the beginning, I knew this place would be a success. Supporting small businesses isn't hard when they aim to please everyone that walks in their door. You won't find a more pleasant atmosphere and friendly feel than here. Talk about delicious and healthy food.... Words cannot describe the flavors and deliciousness.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Love the combination option they have. Also, gluten free bread or bagels! Lavender Lemonade was good and well balanced!

The staff were very helpful and prompt. The aesthetics of the place are beautiful and the patio is amazing for small kids or if you're looking for a coffee biergarden experience. However, the coffee isn't good. It's similar to a lot of Charleston dining: vibes and insta-worthiness (with unreasonably high prices) prioritized over food that tastes good.

What a great place!!! The gluten free peanut butter and jelly was unexpectedly AMAZING. They grill it so it is nice and warm, soft & crunchy. My dad had the corned beef Reuben. He loved it. I also had the lavender lemonade. SOO good. Everyone was so nice. We will definitely be back to hang out and bring our laptops and stuff.

I don't usually make comments about restaurants, but I feel that I must make an exception with, "Gather + Grounds" ( 25709 Van Dyke, Centerline). The restaurant is just north of 10 mile, and it is unassuming, and you would never know what kind of place it is if you are just going by. They are part of a group called Rising Stars Foundation, and they have another building at 23855 Lawrence Ave, that has a small cafe. But this place also grows their own vegetables, raises chickens, and has a bakery. The food at the restaurant and cafe is top quality, and so are the baked goods. If you are looking for a healthy alternative in restaurants and bakeries, Rising Stars and Gather + Grounds is something that you should try. The restaurant also has a great selection of coffees and teas. The places are very clean, and the food and baked goods are top notch! Tell your friends!

Seems to be a newer coffee shop in the area. It's a bit hidden from the street, but if you just look for the brightly painted mural outside you can't miss it. Just had a drip coffee, which was excellent and a Almond Croissant, which was delicious. The people are extremely friendly and courteous. Love the open space, music and art on the walls. Seems to be a coffee shop with a positive message behind. This is great for larger groups or to sit and work solo. Try it out!!

My first visit was today. I had a delightful pour over. I wasn't looking for food, but so glad I bought some soup. The beef barley was absolutely delicious, as was the tomato basil. I was thrilled that you could get half a loaf of bread (it too, was great). Next time I will go for the Mexican Hot Chocolate, another of my favorites. Definitely worth the stop.

Had the Miele (I think) and it was amazing. Such a needed spot in center line! And very spacious inside.

Great mission, great food, great value. We need more businesses like this everywhere.
