"Comfortable and chic, Gather in Omaha opened just a few years ago, but it feels right at home in the Old Market with its large, cozy dining room and patios. Based on a similar concept in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the operation includes a large, hydroponic farm in the basement, which grows fresh herbs and vegetables. Those ingredients appear throughout the menu in dishes like pan-seared miso salmon, made with miso-glazed peas, yuzu vinaigrette, sour cherries, pineapple, fresno peppers, bok choy, mustard greens, and micro radishes. Ask to see the farm after you finish eating." - Sarah Baker Hansen

Since I touched down in Nebraska I kept seeing ads for this place so I decided to make a visit and boy was it good. Started with the red blend wine and the gather mule which was very refreshing. The service was fast and she even took a few pictures for us the check came in a little book so cute. The place has art work all over the place and really catches your eye. Dimly lit sets quite the mood for any type of night. The Mediterranean plate was absolute fire. All of the parings messed so well really enjoyed the basil pesto, only thing I would add is more naan the portion seemed off. We shared the truffle pasta, which had plenty of mushrooms and gave the dish more depth. The green room downstairs was so cool to see where produce comes from. Overall I would love to check out more of the menu when I’m in town.

We ate in and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Service was excellent, food was excellent and unique offerings. Would absolutely return. We shared Brussel sprouts, I had Wagyu flatiron and my husband had elk bolognese. Finished it off with their special cheesecake of the day to go. It was fun to see the hydroponic garden as well!

I’ve been here about a half dozen times, but surprisingly I find that it keeps getting better. Despite being open for a while now they seem to keep pushing to improve. Service is always top-notch. Ingredients are creative, and fresh. You have to try a salad with their ingredients coming from the grow room on the lower level, which is always worth a visit. The Cobia Was an interesting dish, but in my opinion had too many ingredients. Probably would not get that again. The elk bolognese was excellent! Red wine base was flavorful and rich and the house made noodles were spot on. The fried chicken is what really blew me away. Sitting on the bed of mac & cheese with the side of hot sauce this was a naughty way to spend my evening! But I don’t regret it. Some of the better fried chicken I have had in town. If you have not tried Gather, then I strongly suggest planning a dinner date.

Google
Love that they gave me a feedback card for a new item on the menu. It was great but I wish more places did that. Love the farm fresh things from their hydroponic garden downstairs too, amazing. Wish they could make a real espresso martini though... don't go expecting that 😅

Google
Marvelous and enjoyable dining experience. Food was tasty! Pleasing service! Every thing was fresh. Korean marinated wagyu Steak cooked to perfection! Salient environment. Recommend this place for Cocktails and conversation. Best drink on the menu is the basil smash!

Google
New favorite restaurant! Our experience was 10/10. Incredible food, service, and atmosphere. I especially appreciate how spaced out the tables are - it was quiet, and we had privacy to enjoy our time with family. Our waitress was awesome. Everyone in our group loved their meal and cocktails. I had the Brussels, bison short rib, and chocolate torte. All were excellent. One of the best desserts I've ever had!

Google
Best happy hour I’ve ever been to-make sure to check out the garden in the basement. It is self-guided. I highly suggest sitting at the bar. The staff knows when to check on you and they know when to leave you alone. It’s a perfect blend. I went both nights. I was in Omaha- I enjoyed it that much.

Google
I love Gather! Their food is really good. We chose the Elk Bolognese and Miso Salmon and had their Shiraz. Our waitress was the perfect blend of making sure we had what we needed while giving us privacy. If you go downstairs, you can view their hydroponic system. Pretty cool!

Yelp
We celebrated our first wedding anniversary here and it did not disappoint. First off, the service was excellent. Every employee that walked by our table congratulated us. The environment was welcoming, sleek, and upscale with a homegrown feel. We went to the basement to see the garden and it was very cool! It was also nice knowing that parts of our dishes were grown and picked in house! Now the food, all delicious. The first comment I made to my husband was that you could taste all the layers of flavour in each bite. You could taste the freshness and we enjoyed every bite. The Mac and cheese was a highlight for my husband and we agreed that it was the largest servicing of fries either of us had ever seen. We will definitely be back, with friends!

Yelp
Best steak dish in the Old Market in my opinion! I love gather - everything on the menu is done to perfection with a rotating menu, kind & attentive staff, and a fun & modern but classy atmosphere. I take my parents here when they come to town and we want a "nicer" type dinner and everyone enjoys what they order consistently. Forever a favorite!

Yelp
What an absolute gem of a place! We were walking through Old Market and this restaurant caught our attention for its "farm fresh" promotion and had no other idea about what to expect. We were able to get a seat pretty quickly and explored the garden downstairs while they prepared our table, which was beautiful to see. I love that they let us see the fresh produce they grow and use in our meals. Our server was very kind and thoughtful. She checked in with us regularly and was on top of making sure we were cared for. The fried chicken mac n cheese was incredible. It had fresh pickled onions and fresno chilies to help cut through the richness of the mac n cheese and heartiness of the fried chicken. It was everything I want in a meal: well-balanced, flavorful, and mixed textures. I'm already excited to return to Omaha to eat here again. Definitely must try while you're in Old Market!

Yelp
The fresh greens are a delightful and unique feature of this great casual but upscale restaurant. The service was very prompt and the wait after ordering was reasonable. The kitchen is open concept and efficient. Great spot for date night. The salad or greens are a must try!

Yelp
I've been here about a half dozen times. They've been open a while now and typically I see restaurants start to slip in various ways but the opposite is true here. Service was great, ambience is always positive, creative menu, and really fresh wonderful dishes. The Cobia with couscous grapes and whipped feta had good flavor, but they're almost seem to be too much going on in that dish. Probably would not get that again. The Elk Bolognese was rich and flavorful and the red wine flavors in the sauté came through perfectly. I had fried chicken and Mac and cheese or maybe the second time but it was fantastic! One of the better fried chicken dishes I've had. A visit to the herb growing room in the basement is always worth the trip. If you haven't been, this is definitely one of the top places to try in Omaha.

Yelp
Decided to stop here on a road trip as per the recommendation of a friend. 'Go to the place that grows stuff onsite,' she said. 'I can't remember the name.' Well the name is Gather, and it was definitely a nice experience. Sat at the bar around the end of happy hour, and service was thoughtful and pretty attentive (aside from a moment when the bar was slammed with an order for like 25 pinkish specialty cocktails). As per the guidance of the bartender I got the pork shank. (I was debating another entree but she very honestly told me it was a newer dish that got a few mixed reactions, so I pivoted.) I got a very flavorful and tender side salad to start, (all those freshly trimmed greens certainly make a difference), and the shank itself did not disappoint. Fall off the bone, and wonderfully paired with the sauces and other accoutrements. I will say the main dining area was pretty bustling (loud); I realized later just how sprawling the restaurant was, and that there was an outdoor section on the side of the building that I likely would've preferred. That said a fun place with solid food and solid people. And definitely check out the "garden" below!

Yelp
I was excited to try Gather in Omaha during a brief visit to the city to experience the nighttime ambiance of the historical Old Market district, which features a seemingly endless array of well-preserved historic warehouses. Despite being located in the steak capital of the country, they have a serviceable veggie burger on offer. The toppings and brioche were much enjoyed, but I felt an impossible burger might have been a better choice of patty. The oily brussel sprouts on the side were definitely the best part of the meal.

Amanda P.

Yelp
Industrial modern vibe, friendly service, very fast kitchen - we barely waited for our starter after ordering. The food was. Very good. The hydroponic garden in the basement that resulted in our amazing salads blew my mind. This is a model for how restaurants can do better and for urban agriculture.

Lee Ling C.

Yelp
The food and ambiance is absolutely amazing! The food was really good, I love their mushroom pasta. It's so creamy, fragrant and so delicious. That was my favorite of the night, followed by other food and I loved every single one of them. The server is friendly and so accommodating even when we're there like 1.5hours before their closing time. It was our first time there and we will definitely come visit again.

Yelp
This place is a 1000% go-to if you are visiting or a resident of Omaha! everything from the ambience, to the staff, to the menu and the food is just outstanding! I had the opportunity to go to Gather on Mother's Day with my husband and toddler. At first, I was a little bit nervous about bringing our toddler but we got a highchair and scooted her right up to the table and things went absolutely fantastic! I had been to Gather one other time for an event and was really excited to have the the pork buns again. They are to die for!!! We ended up having the Pork Buns which included housemade bao buns, crispy braised pork belly, kimchi, and fresno chiles as our appetizer. The flavoring is just out of this world and the pork belly is cooked to perfection! Our amazing waitress was so kind and asked if she wanted us to have our daughters mac & cheese brought out early and we absolutely took her up on! My husband and I tasted the mac & cheese and it was delicious! For my entrée, I ended up getting the Gather Burger and it was fantastic tasting! I feel like the team and gather put together a really well thought out burger and all of the different flavor profiles works really well together! The fries were also amazing! My husband ended up ordering the Fried Chicken and he loved it!! After eating our fantastic meal, I was pretty stuffed. I really wish I would've had room for some dessert but that will be for next time! The absolute bonus at the end for us was because it was Mother's Day they had given me a yellow carnation and my daughter carried it to the car and all over the place once we got home! Thank you gather for a wonderful experience!

Yelp
From the moment we entered the restaurant the staff was so attentive. The server answered any questions that we had. The interior decor of the restaurant was very upscale but very inviting and comfortable at the same time. Everyone in the group was pleased with their meal choice. The burger was fantastic and the flavors all worked together. The chicken with the cavatappi was so good. I did have leftovers and couldn't wait to eat them. I highly recommend Gather in Omaha.

Yelp
I visited Gather on Sunday evening for date night. I had heard a lot of great things about this restaurant and was looking forward to trying it. We dined during happy hour and enjoyed the crispy Brussels and bone marrow fried rice for happy hour. For dinner, I tried the pork shank. I thought the crispy Brussels lacked a bit of flavor, but really enjoyed the bone marrow fried rice. The sweet sauce and pineapple cucumber salad on top paired well with the savory fried rice. The pork shank was also so delicious. The sweetness of the jalapeño jam and carrot puree perfectly balanced the pork. It was a very unique combination of flavors that I really enjoyed! Food presentation of the fried rice and my entree were great too. The concept of this restaurant is really unique. We visited the Gather Urban Farm after dinner and learned about how they grow fresh greens that are cut to order and added to some of the dishes they serve. While we did not have any of the salads, I look forward to trying them in the future. The food is a little pricey, but I really enjoyed it and definitely plan to return to try some other things on the menu!

Andrew H.

Yelp
Ooohh bison ribs. Once I saw that on the menu, I had to have it. I always try to get something I haven't seen before, especially if it's bison because bison is a healthier type of red meat. It was tender and delicious, and I loved the sides that came with it. The service was excellent. The bartender and waitress gave me a lot of enthusiastic recommendations, and also what they didn't care for, honesty is important because if they say everything is good, then you can't really trust that. I must also add, CHECK OUT THEIR indoor hydroponic farm in the basement. It is really impressive, a true farm to table place, or really a "basement farm to table." They have a ton of fresh picked vegetable ingredients and I would come back here just for that.

Sabrina D.

Yelp
We spent a celebratory anniversary dinner here on a whim a few weeks ago. Our wait time was minimal, and our service was prompt each time we interacted with the staff. We started with the broccolini at the recommendation of a good friend and it was DELIGHTFUL. Such a satisfying savory appetizer that doesn't leave your stomach feeling heavy and too full for your entree. The elk Bolognese and the fig and farro salad were our entrees for this visit, and both were delicious and filling and complex! We left this meal feeling very satisfied and glad we found a chance to visit Gather!

Cher C.

Yelp
Wow! We loved our entire meal. Great portions, delicious flavors. We're from out of town and are so glad to have been able to eat here.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Last night's celebration over a superb dinner was nothing short of spectacular. First off, the service was excellent. Our table wasn't ready right away but that gave us time to view the garden in the basement of the restaurant! I got the fried chicken - the golden-brown (on the softer side) crust perfectly encased tender, JUICY chicken that was seasoned to perfection. Paired with (anything but traditional) mac n cheese that elevated the comfort food experience. Others in the group ordered the BISON SHORT RIB, TRUFFLE PASTA , KOREAN MARINATED IMPERIAL WAGYU, and the MARINATED PORK RIBEYE which I didn't get a picture of some dishes since I was elbows deep in my own! Every bite felt like a celebration in itself. The server brought our celebrator a complimentary dessert to acknowledge his accomplishments. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot to toast to a well-earned college graduation. A memorable meal for a milestone moment!

Alex G.

Yelp
Traveled from Michigan and heard about the raving reviews for Gather! The bison was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. The wagyu was also one to write home about! Everything from the bone-marrow fried rice and home-grown cilantro were plated with intention!

Theresa L.

Yelp
Saw all the reviews here and decided to try it out! It wasn't too far from my hotel. Got here on a Wednesday night around 6pm, it was kinda of busy but I sat by the bar. Everyone is so nice and friendly, the bartender was fabulous, felt bad that I forgot his name. Had him recommend some dishes, and he recommended the pork shank, which was delicious, so tender and favorable, it didn't have a chance with me! I also ordered the old fashion with rye, really good too!!! The atmosphere of the place was really chill and cool and all the food looked great!

Emma E.

Yelp
WOW! The food here is fantastic. I was absolutely blown away with every aspect of my dinner tonight and would absolutely be back if I'm in town again. I came here for a business dinner with some colleagues and this was the right choice. The ambiance is perfect for a business lunch or dinner or even for a date night out. It sounds like from other reviews they are child-friendly, but I would definitely dress at least business casual as it is a nicer restaurant. The service was outstanding. Our server made fantastic recommendations, was punctual with refills and orders and we had maybe the manager or owner stop by to offer us a view of the downstairs hydroponic towers where they grow the micro greens. Really impressive hospitality by their team. My colleague was between a few drink choices and our server gave us succinct but descriptive information for both choices. She also let us know the watermelon in the watermelon margarita had been freshly puréed very recently. We both decided on this drink and it was fantastic. The salt on the rim was good and it tasted like there was a savory flavor in the margarita itself that made the drink taste great. It was very good. We ordered the Brussels sprouts - this is a trend that has cropped up in almost every new American place across the US so I was not surprised to see it on the menu. The pecorino/cranberry/pumpkin seed combination was good, I would've liked to see them play with maybe a combination a bit more seasonal (it's summer): grilled citrus, ginger, thai peppers, hot honey, etc. the cranberry pumpkin seed combo screams autumn to me. Either way, the dish is delicious and was more than enough as an appetizer for 3 people. They were perfectly cooked. I ordered the porcini dusted Cobia for dinner - this hands down is one of the best meals I've ever eaten. The server recommended I add shrimp to the dish and this was the right choice. Cobia is a white fish (similar to tilapia in flavor but a bit thicker and meatier) and porcini is a mild mushroom. The fish and shrimp sat atop couscous with three sauces: romesco (a Spanish sauce made of almond and/or hazelnut blended with red pepper and tomato), a poblano aioli and whipped feta (sauce-like consistency). The dish was topped with marinated grapes, tomatoes, toasted almonds and fresh basil from the hydroponic system (all of the micro greens are grown in-house). WOW! I read the marinated grapes on fish and I was sold and all of the flavors worked in harmony with each other. The proteins were both perfectly prepared and were so juicy and flavorful. The couscous was perfectly cooked and the three sauces blended together nicely. Really beautiful balance of flavors and textures. Really the only thing that could have made this better is a little more couscous, but I of course added protein (the shrimp doesn't normally come on it) so as it comes is likely perfect. Really standout job with this dish. Amazing amazing amazing. My colleagues both had the red pepper soup of the day and a beet salad. They both said their meals were great and they would come back. I loved everything I tried here and would love to come back for dessert if I have time. Absolutely recommend you stop in if you have the chance. There is plenty of seating so you likely do not need a reservation. If you're on the fence, come here - it will not disappoint!

Wendie M.

Yelp
I will say the restaurant has impeccable customer service and reached out to rectify the situation pretty quickly. Based on service and how they handled the situation will give this place another try next time I'm in town.

Salem B.

Yelp
The best gluten free food I've had since changing my diet. The steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The fried rice had an impeccable flavor unlike anything else. Cocktail was well made. Dessert was divine. If I'm ever back in town, this will be my first stop.

Traci H.

Yelp
This restaurant has a gorgeous interior space that is unique and inviting. The service was excellent! The food was flavorful and well seasoned. We enjoyed the brussels sprouts, a fig & farro salad, and the bread pudding. There was way too much dressing on the salad, however it was still very good. I would recommend Gather for a delicious dining experience.

Alina W.

Yelp
Appetizers were good, main meals were mediocre and mine came out cold. We got the chocolate torte for desert and it was great! Unfortunately probably won't be back because I don't think it was worth the money.

John O.

Yelp
We had a great meal at gather! Gather offers very dining experience but also caters well to younger kids, which is a rare combination. My wife and I brought our 2-year old here for an early dinner on Sunday. It probably helped that they weren't very busy at that time, but the staff was great with him and very patient with us as we got him situated. Most importantly, the food was great! The steamed buns were our favorite, but the elk ragu and bone marrow friend rice were amazing as well! The portions are really big so we probably could have split an entree. All in all, this was an awesome dinner!

JoJo N.

Yelp
I've never had a bad experience here! Between dinners with friends and Yelp events, I have always left feeling more than satisfied. The restaurant itself is very nice and feels elevated. Just like many other places in Omaha, you could dress up if you wanted to but would be just as fine in causal clothes. The staff is very kind and receptive to our needs. Some dishes from here that stand out to me are the Brussel sprouts, truffle pasta, burger, and elk Bolognese. Whenever I'm there, I always have to make the quick stop by their hydroponic garden downstairs! Quick tip for anyone with tickets to a Broadway show at the Orpheum - for the 2023-2024 season, you can go here on the day of your show and get a glass of their house wine for a penny (with the purchase of food as well). Great deal and nice way to get some food and drinks before a show!

Katarzyna K.

Yelp
Went twice when visiting Omaha and made sure to try different food each time. This place does not disappoint if you enjoy well thought out dishes!! I didn't snap a picture of it, but the appetizer carrots are so good! All of the entrées are also delicious and worth the price because these are not your typical dishes. I love how they use unique ingredients like lions mane mushrooms, bison and of course their own superfood sprouts! Inside it's a cozy yet elevated atmosphere but the second time my mom and I got lucky and were able to sit outside where there was a street performer playing sax close by to give a chill ambience. Highly recommend for a special meal.

Alexandra A.

Yelp
Came here on a whim for a Mother's Day treat after being intrigued by such a unique menu. We had no reservations (it was a Friday night) and got seated right away. We got the Bison Wagyu and the Garden Salad and split them both. The serving sizes a great for one person so I would recommend each person get their own entree. The bison was absolutely tasty and the bone marrow rice was so unique. I especially enjoyed the shrimp and the dressing for the salad. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and cooked and our 2 year old said "that was yummy!" The dressing is light and sweet and really compliments the salad with a nice burst of bitterness. There are plenty of gluten free options on the menu too! We are looking forward to trying more of the menu in the future.

Patrick W.

Yelp
Not the first time here, wanted to try the pork shank and it was great! Highly recommend if you get the chance. Can't go wrong with an old fashioned too.

Mimi H.

Yelp
We finally checked out the place when we got gift cards from Costco. We brought my mom along for the ride. It was in a cute little spot in Old Market, with a small outdoor space. Seemed to be a neat place to hang out. We made a reservation that started off with them completing the reservation for someone else, so they didn't initially find my name. The server was very nice but she seems a little flustered, which it didn't seem very busy but that's okay. The food was pretty good, there were just things here and there that didn't make them quite perfect which is probably a personal opinion thing. The menu had a good variety of stuff, but I would say it may be a little too "unique" for some people. My mom isn't a big fan of stuff like elk and bison, so it limited some of our choices. The meat part of the pork in the buns was a little dry. The meat to rice ratio was a little off for how much we paid (so much rice!). The noodles seemed a little undercooked and kinda hard to eat because they're so wide. We forgot to take a picture, but we tried the Jackson donut holes for dessert. It was a bit disappointing for what seemed to be a take on a beignet. They were quite large and very doughy/thick, which maybe people like. The berry compote dip had way too much cinnamon, basically felt like a punch in the face. If we come back, we'd definitely try something else. If you're into trying different foods, come check it out! This place definitely is one to change things up in Old Market.

Yelp
We came here for my birthday at the beginning of February. We had a reservation for 7:15, they told us it wouldn't be ready until then but we got to our table around 7:05. Since we arrived early, we got to explore the hydroponic garden below the restaurant. It looked really awesome, but they need to clean their fans, they were super dusty! We arrived to our table and our waitress was amazingly helpful. She was kind and knowledgeable about the menu and drink pairings. We started with steak tartare, pork buns, and house red. The pork buns were so good, crispy pork and a hot pepper on top, it was a great combo! I got the truffle pasta, which was good, but not great. I'll get another dish next time, the mushrooms were quite big, the "perfect egg" didn't seem to be done, and serving bread with pasta seemed a bit much. I had a prosecco on the side, which was a fabulous suggestion from the waitress! My husband loved his wagyu steak, especially the bone marrow fried rice side! It was savory and crunchy on the outside. The hubs told the waitress it was my birthday and she came back and filled my glass with more prosecco, a wonderful ending to the meal!

Yelp
Gather is one of those restaurants I think of when I want to enjoy a beautiful open and elegant ambiance while also eating a thoughtfully delicious meal. I've luckily been able to enjoy two lovely dinners here, with my boyfriend and friends, and just recently me and my boyfriend. Each time we made reservations in advance and were seated promptly once we arrived. Our servers each time were quick to greet us and offer drinks. I love that the layout of the restaurant has the bar in the middle and each area has its own distinct feel. From the patio seating, the corner round tables, the high tops, all the way to the intimate back area. Fitting for whatever experience you're going for. My favorite menu item I've enjoyed ordering and has been consistent each time I've tried it is the crispy brussels. I love how the brussels are crispy throughout, the oil they use is tasty and the cheese, dried cranberries, and pepitas harmonize so well with the perfect amount of crunch and sweetness. It's a winner! We've also had the mushroom toast this last time we visited along with the big charcuterie board. I love the variety of cheeses and meats they include on the board, along with other toppings. I especially enjoyed the dried figs, cranberries, shelled pistachios, their house made kimchi, beets, and pepitas. For their meat variety I loved the salmon rillette the most. My only wish is to include more bread with the board! The mushroom toast was delicious albeit different from what the two of us were expecting, but tasty! Our servers each time were friendly, professional, and helpful with any questions we had about our meal or what to choose from. I know we will comeback here again in the future. I especially love their farm to table and being able to see their vertical farm down below. I hope we can see more restaurants that offer something like this. I look forward to trying more of their meals in the future!

Gabi Z.

Yelp
Went to Gather for my birthday and have no complaints! The service was great. The food is on the pricier side, but it's worth it because they use high quality, local ingredients. The ambiance is more upscale and catered to adults tastes, so I wouldn't really recommend this place for kids. I tried the pork shank, and it was so tender. The truffle pasta was homemade and you can really taste the difference. I highly recommend trying the little donuts/ beignets. They are so fluffy and melt in your mouth. They were a favorite around the entire table.

Sam H.

Yelp
The vibes were great, cool building, amazing service. However, we were a bit let down by the food, as we went in hearing amazing things. Giving this 4 stars, as the pork buns were absolutely amazing & unique. These are a must if you come here. The other food we had was average. Bison burger was okay, nothing crazy. Fries were awesome though! The elk bolognese was also just okay; I probably could've made the pasta at home myself. $29 was high end. I know it's elk, but it tasted just like beef (but that could just be us). It's a cool place, but the price to level of food ratio is not worth it for us. We do love the farm to table & think that's amazing. We wish this business the absolute best, as there are many people we can see that love it!

Yelp
My husband and I went here for our Valentine's date, and it was delicious. First of all, as you walk in, it feels so cozy, with exposed brick, exposed kitchen area, and a little dark for good conversation. The food was EXCELLENT. We split the fries with aioli sauce and they were the perfect crispy and we smashed the aioli sauce- our waitress got us a second cup. I got the Porcini Dusted Cobia, which had white fish, couscous, feta, and grapes. I basically licked the bowl clean! It was the perfect, fresh blend of all deliciousness. My husband had elk bolognese with wagyu and it was very tasty. After dinner, we walked downstairs to the garden where they grow all their own herbs thru hydroponic lights. (If you want a picture, I'd suggest against the brick wall opposite the windows into the hydroponics- great lighting!

Yelp
I loved this place. I loved the vibe and the ambiance. I loved our beautiful waitress who was charming and attentive but not overly so. I loved the hydroponics downstairs. We came in for drinks, appetizers and dessert. To be honest, we were eating our way around Omaha and this was our second dinner that evening. I loved the Brussels sprouts. The cranberries and pumpkin seeds and everything they put into the dish just works very well. I took home the leftovers and I loved the rest of it. The mushroom toast points were exactly what I expected. The holy grail was the bread pudding!!! The edges were slightly crunchy and the interior was hot, soft and delicious. I didn't think I'd be crazy about the raisins but they were plump and tasty, not just a typical raisin! And the sauce and ice cream WERE TO DIE FOR. This is part of my Last Meal. Seriously crazy good. I really, really enjoyed the PBJ drink. If you love sweet drinks and love Skrewball, you'll love it. This is high on my list of places to return. I tried to think of one thing to improve, and there just wasn't anything. Well done!

Yelp
Gather is a great spot for food, drinks or both. They have a great happy hour menu and are one of the best places in Omaha for cocktails. I went recently to celebrate a group of birthdays. I had 2 of the basil smashes which were refreshing and herby but a tad on the sweet side. The mushroom toast is always wonderful umami bomb. The special appetizer of the day was the shrimp ravioli which was a group favorite. My entree was a perfectly fried piece of chicken on top of the 3 cheese cavatappi. Will certainly be back again.

Yelp
The Mac was really good. I wish it was slightly creamier and saucier but that's just a preference. Everything tasted so fresh and we loved our drinks. Perfect date night spot.

Yelp
Everything was fresh, and everything was tasty at Gather in Omaha! We came in the day before Labor Day, and if you are coming on a holiday weekend, I'd definitely recommend placing a reservation to avoid any potential wait time. The interior of the restaurant was cozy, modern, and pleasant. We came in a large group of 9 and had been placed at a table in a room kind of by itself, but we were never forgotten about service wise. The drinks and food were all brought out quickly. From Manhattans to Margaritas, you couldn't go wrong with anything. And the food was impeccable. We order bao buns, pork shank, and the truffle pasta. We were happy with the quantities in each dish, but my favorite personally were the bao buns. They weren't too dry and were filled well. The flavor in each dish was also unique and definitely something you need to try on your next visit to omaha! One cool thing about gather, all of their garnishes and herbs are grown in-house. There is a team of 15 gardeners whose sole job is to grow the vegetables and fruit for the restaurant. You are able to go and see the garden in house so make sure you don't miss out on that! All in all, it is a wonderful place for dinner or to celebrate any occasion

Yelp
I love this place! The first time I tried it was on a Yelp Elite event, and I instantly fell in love with it. This time however, we came back and tried it for real! Cathleen was our server and she was outstanding! It's like she knew what we wanted before we knew! We tried the bison short rib on top of a farro risotto. The skin was sooo crispy! It really made the meal for me as I really enjoy a crispy exterior. And the dark chocolate mole was a great addition. I wasn't sure what to expect from it, but the sweet flavor it brought as a dipping sauce brought out a different vibe in such a good way! Truffle isn't my favorite thing, but this one wasn't overwhelming and I enjoyed it. It wasn't anything special or over the top, but good nonetheless. But those Brussels!! Damn! Those things are on a different level. So crispy, flavorful, and mixed with dried cranberries. Ugh...I could eat those every day!

Yelp
Gather is located in one corner of Old Market. The low lights, mid-low volume of music and very wide space, it makes up for an extremely pleasant experience. The service was quick, efficient and extremely friendly. The food options are a mix of fusion concepts, with Mediterranean and East Asian influences over a modern American cuisine standard. Prices are a bit in the higher end and the portions are sufficient. Overall a great experience with decent flavors! The wine selection is varied enough to pair all of its meals.

Yelp
Out of a tremendous number of restaurants available in Omaha, we decided to try gather in Omaha because of its eclectic menu. We were not disappointed. The pork buns, a bow bun stuffed with shredded pork and crispy vegetables was incredibly good. That was our starter. My colleague had the vegetarian noodles tossed in soy and a light sauce with Udan noodles and vegetables that was the hit of the evening. I had the Korean imperial waygu done medium rare. Bone Marrow Fried Rice, Sweet Soy, Cucumber Pineapple Salad, Nori Komi Furikake (Sesame Seeds & Roasted Black Seaweed). This dish was nothing short of spectacular. I just wish there had been more beef. It was truly delicious. Our server, Kaitlyn was outstanding! She paid just the right attention to us while leaving us alone to enjoy each other's company and the wonderful food she served. We talked it off by sharing a bread pudding with two scoops of vanilla ice cream. That was very good. If you are in Omaha, try the Gathering in Omaha it is absolutely worth the trip

Yelp
The best waitstaff! For a girls night out we made reservations at Gather and grazed our way thru the menu! Staring with the basil smash with whisky to small plates and shared entrees we barely had room for dessert. Our server Kaitlyn was great with suggestions and favorites as most of us had never been, she was detailed and patient with questions and didn't rush us despite the busyness of the restaurant. Some of our favorites were the Brussel sprouts and mushroom toast, miso salmon ( this was a bit spicier than we anticipated) and chocolate torte for dessert. The portion sizes were more than enough for us to all share and feel well fed. I recommend planning to enjoy the atmosphere and food for more than a quick meal, you'll want to make dining at Gather an event!

Yelp
Some of the best food I have ever had in my entire life! I had heard amazing things from anyone I talked to who had been here, and I knew I had to come here. I made a reservation on their website which was so easy to do. We arrived a bit earlier than our reservation was, but were sat down right when we got there. We chose to get the pork buns because I have heard they are incredible. They truly are! All of the flavor packed into those pork buns is truly amazing. My fiancée and I each had two. We both loved them! I got the berry mojito to drink which was so refreshing and tasty. My fiancée got the Gather favorite cocktail called Caliente Wey which he also really enjoyed! For dinner, he got the Gather burger with fries. On their menu, it says a pile of fries and they mean it!!!!! The fries and burger were so good!! My Korean marinated imperial wagyu was absolutely some of the best steak I have ever had in my life. It was cooked just as I asked for it to be and the flavor was remarkable. We went around 7 PM on a Monday night, and it was not too busy. It is a very elegant and beautiful restaurant inside. Not very loud and we were sat where no one else was around us. It felt romantic and I'm so glad we chose to go on a date here! I have been raving about Gather and wanting to go back to coworkers, friends, and family already. Also, the Gather Urban Farm downstairs is a MUST see! They grow their own produce in house which is AMAZING! I cannot wait to come back to Gather! :)

Yelp
Try it! Costco has some gift cards and the food and drinks were great! Tartare, Fig salad, steak and asian noodles, and the Bison short ribs were all great options! The service for a busy Saturday didn't disappoint for me and my wife. We got a bottle of wine and I had a nice IPA. Everything tasted great and the ambience of the place is really cool! I mean, what's not to love about hydroponics in the basement?! Go for date night or friends/family get-togethers!

Yelp
Gathering at Gather for my birthday was a long-awaited treat after the fantastic experience during the Yelp event. Eager to relish those delightful flavors, we ordered many of the same dishes. Unfortunately, they were out of the carrots that night, but Gather's unparalleled brussel sprouts were still available so I couldn't be too disappointed. These are, without a doubt, the best brussel sprouts I've ever tasted. On the flip side, the truffle pasta fell a bit short of expectations. The portions of mushrooms and pasta were almost equal. My love for carbs and my dislike for mushrooms are about the same, so I was hoping to eat around the some of the mushrooms, but there were sooo many. Despite my experience, everyone else at the table thoroughly enjoyed their selections. We wrapped up the culinary journey with desserts. While the Jackson Donut holes were decent, with a taste reminiscent of fried Pillsbury biscuits, I missed out on the Red Velvet Cheesecake that garnered high praise. Instead, I opted for the chocolate torte, which, unfortunately, didn't quite measure up to their taste but I thought was great. Lastly, the service started strong but seemed to wane as the restaurant got busier to the point where I was trying to rush us out as they told us previously that we had to be out by 7:15 because the table was reserved.

Yelp
Once of my wife and I's favorite restaurants in Omaha. Good appetizers, salads, and entrees. Always enjoy the food and leave full

Yelp
If you want to pay $59 bucks for a way undercooked steak come here! Service was alright, never asked how the food was, never came back before giving us the bill. I ended up sending over half of it back and almost throwing up chewing through raw uncooked flat iron fat.
