Great food and friendly to English speakers. We really liked their escargot, onion soup and frites Escargot 5/5 - our favorite one on the trip Onion soup 4/5 - great flavor but heavier on the cheese which stuck together if you don’t eat the soup quickly. The bread used in it was delicious though Beef tartare 4/5 - great flavor and loved the fries that came with it Beef bougignon 4.5/5 - super tender and delicious

Our meals were so perfectly prepared! Great service, wonderful ambiance and despite ordering full meals, wine and dessert, one of the best priced meals we’ve had! We highly recommend this classy restaurant!!

Magnifique! One of the best restaurants experiences in Paris, hidden off the main road in Saint Germain des Pres. The plates are beautiful, the setting in a 150+ years old building so immersive and the food was just perfection. There was absolutely nothing left in our plates in the end. Superb French cuisine and lovely staff, recommend highly!

My favourite restaurant in all of Paris! The first restaurant I visit when I arrive and the last place I go to before I leave. I have been coming here since the current owner (the son of the previous owner) was just a boy and now he has taken over from his father and it is the place to go to for homestyle family cooking and hospitality served with love. It's just like going to your favourite auntie's country house for dinner

My wife and I stayed in a nearby AirBNB on Rue Gregoire de Tours in Sant-Germain. Within steps are cafes and wine bars. On our first night in Paris we found Gavroche and met Marcos. We returned more than once to experience tasty cuisine and personal service. My grilled ribeye steak with bernaise sauce was tasty and tender. The best I’’ve had anywhere. My wife had steak tartare which is excellent plus world class French onion soup! We returned a 2nd time and were greeted like old friends. Highly recommend this establishment. I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The onion soup was the standout for me, truly the best I’ve ever had. The meat was incredibly tender, melting in the mouth with every bite. The service was excellent, and the staff were attentive, and very friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good restaurant.

Always our first stop in Paris. Formal known as Chalet Gregoir Now run by the son of the original owner this is the place to go for the best home cooked comfort food. You can tell it is good weekend most of the diners are locals. By pass the tourist traps and give it a go.
