Wow. This chocolatier makes top level chocolates. I have enjoyed Ghirardelli made at their San Francisco original location as well as the award winning Chubby Chipmunk, and Gayle's is on par with the finest. The love you have for your craft shows with every selection.

Google
Luved it. Great selection and so scrumptious. Staff was exceptional and willing to explain your choices of chocolates and the history. Parking was ample and location was perfect. Made a few selections but will definitely be back. You can also see the staff making the chocolates through the window. I would give it 10 truffles out of 10 truffles.

Excellent chocolatier. Made two visits during our weekend trip to Cottonwood because we bought too few the first time. A great find.

We were just passing through Cottonwood for lunch on the way home to Phoenix when we happened by Gayles, and being chocolate lovers, stopped in. The selection is incredible, about anything you can imagine. We bought a chocolate jeep for a friend, a host of truffles, and if you go, you must get the crispy cinnamon peanut butter cup. All delicious.

These chocolates will melt within your mouth and the assortment is amazing. They can stamp your logo within and the rapper. First time we seen a chocolate Piñata also full with little chocolates, they can ship globally...absolutely worth purchasing, or even better...visiting.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of Gayle's chocolates and stop by every time I can when in Cottonwood. I just wish their hours were longer so I can make this my first stop when I come into town late. Gayle's chocolates pair nicely with the wines when visiting Main Street wineries in Cottonwood, and I also love the molded chocolates for various occasions. Their truffles come in so many different flavors, and I find their chocolates to be very affordable and a great value.

Yelp
Incredible find on our way back from Sedona to Scottsdale. The town of Cottonwood was recommended as a eclectic quaint little town with all kinds of wineries. Well what better to pair wine with than Chocolate and this place has beautiful designs, great décor, incredible taste. Not your Hershey bar from taste or price but you will appreciate their quality and unique creations. Great service from a friendly staff and you can watch the chocolates being made

Yelp
All you need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt ~ Charles Schulz. With Gayle's Chocolates, I want chocolate every day not just now and then! I am so happy they transplanted from Michigan to Cottonwood, AZ. Their truffles are just amazing! I am particularly fond of the ones with dark chocolate. Their molded chocolates are so beautiful, it's hard to think of taking a bite out of them, but once you do you cannot stop! Friends love the chocolate flowers, my great nephew loved his purple T-Rex, my sister-in-law loved her Statue of Liberty and I have a cute little lamb waiting in the fridge to give to my niece! I recently brought my best friend to Gayle's and boy did she go to town and is so happy that I introduced her to the queen of chocolate! Recently I was talking to someone in Flagstaff Who was complaining there were no real good chocolatiers in Flagstaff, and she misses a place called Gayle's from her home state of Michigan, and she was almost in tears when I told her they are in Cottonwood! I am so happy I have frequent business in the Verde Valley because Gayle's is some of the best chocolate I have ever had! My husband grabs the box out of my hands as soon as I get home! They did give me a helpful tip that chocolate lasts a long time in the fridge so no excuse not to stock up! When you are in Cottonwood, this should definitely be a stop on your list! They are open Mon. - Sat. 9 AM to 4 PM so make sure you get there prior to closing, or you'll be wishing you had one of their chocolate shoes to kick your ass!

Yelp
It pains me to write such a bad review, but maybe the owners can learn something from this. The owners are obviously folks who feel that, as far as sugar is concerned, if an ounce is good, a pound must be better. That may be appreciated by 6 year old boys trying to get a sugar high, but won't be appreciated by adults, or at least those of us who know how European chocolates taste like. I was given Gayle's chocolate truffles at an event I recently attended. I took one bite, and threw the rest of them out. Sad. I could not taste chocolate, only sugar, in the product. Arghh. At least I did not spend any money on them, but still, it is pathetic. They look like the real thing, but taste like kiddie junk. Grow up, owners! Time to be adults.

Yelp
The chocolate in the case tasted old and stale.. Enjoyed the chocolate covered pretzels

Yelp
Gayle's is conveniently located on Main street/89A Cottonwood. This is the only chocolate candy store I've seen in Arizona that makes all its own chocolate and I can say it is outstandingly delicious. Everything I tried tastes phenomenal. Service is fast, friendly and they have a large selection of favorites like chocolate covered pretzels which I had to get. They ship all over the USA and internationally so I know where I'm going to send gifts to my friends and family. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Not a fan of this place. All 3 times I've been there the guy behind the counter is not friendly at all. He acts like he hates his job. I bought chocolate for gifts but the price is expensive for the quality so I'll stock up in Phoenix from now on.

Yelp
It was okay - they have some pretty chocolate displays. The guy working there was of no help. Not a tourist destination - would have skipped if I knew.

Yelp
Buyer be AWARE! My girlfriend was ecstatic when I got her the Kate royal wedding high heel shoe, so imagine our surprise when, shortly after slipping them on and heading out for the evening, they quickly melted around her feet! Turns out, when they say these shoes are "chocolatey," it isn't just clever marketing. They're being literal! At first, we were naturally furious, but thankfully, I'm a bit of a "foot man," and we were able to salvage the evening.

Yelp
They are Ridiculously expensive and honestly not that good. IDK !!! I won't ever go back. To post this I have to keep writing and there's nothing else to say. Go over and over the fact that they're not any good. Still won't let me post unless I say more.

Yelp
We have been driving by Gayle's for a year. Tuesday My Lady decided to stop in and try them out. She brought home a small box of 9 truffles. I like See's Candy from San Francisco and Godiva Chocolate from New York, and I did not expect the same quality from a shop in the Verde Valley of Arizona. Silly me! These candies were tasty! They had textures and flavors that filled my mouth with pure hedonistic pleasure! Their memory is driving me to overuse exclamation points! My Lady and I agreed that these are better than Godiva. We are planning to buy and share these chocolates with our guests in Sedona, and to tell our friends and family about them. I hear Gayle's ships a lot of them out of the area.

Yelp
Delicious chocolates that looked so pretty! Really reasonably priced boxes (I got the box of 9 truffles) and did not get a single chocolate that I didn't think was awesome. Such a friendly/ helpful staff as well! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Hidden Chocolate gem store Amazing selections and unique designs. Will not disappoint a chocolate lover.

Yelp
The Best Store! The variety of treats offered will satisfy any chocolate craving. Every time I visit, this is a routine stop! Their clusters, chocolate bars and mini chocolate covered pretzels are my favorite. Their online store was convenient and helped me put together my mom's Mother's Day gift. Excellent service and fast! My mom lives locally, they had excellent communication to let me know when her order was ready for pick up. Thank you Gayle's Chocolates! :)

Yelp
My husband and I have passed this place numerous times, we had read about it when it opened and just did not make the time. I had friends in town from Michigan so we decided to stop. It was neat to find out that it originated in Royal Oak, Mi. The chocolate is excellent and they have some really unique creations. The items are worth the price. The staff is super friendly.

Yelp
Holy wow this place has some amazing stuff. I got a Rice Krispies treat covered in peanut butter and chocolate. Its one of the yummiest things I've ever eaten. I'll definitely being going here again.

Yelp
Very clean, lots of variety. Observation window to see chocolate being made. Chocolate holiday piñatas. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Yelp
You seriously MUST go in and give them a try. It was a VERY well known business in Michigan, so loved that many of the regulars there now order their chocolates to be delivered out there. This is a total gain for Cottonwood ! The chocolate is amazing, truffles perfect for any occasion. They have quite a few specialty molds like high heels, globe, even a King Kong. Go in and explore- staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Ask for Coleen and tell her Jack and Tom sent you!

Jessica W.

Yelp
Amazing shop! Absolutely love everything they have! Employees are also very courteous as well.

Yelp
Gayle's Chocolates is amazing! Family owned business with a great product! They have a huge selection and do amazing seasonal items as well. It's a must stop when headed through Cottonwood!
