Fantastic fish and chips! Loved the variety of fish choices (I had cod and haddock, both were fantastic) and great to see that they offered curry sauce (which is a must with fish and chips). Staff were super friendly. I would prefer if the fish had a little more batter (for crunch) and that the curry sauce was a little more zesty, though I think that this is a personal preference and not a critique of the restaurant. If you're from the UK and are missing good quality fish and chips you need to come here.

I dream about this fish. This is my favorite fish and chips spot. I never cared for fried fish before, but this is a life altering experience in taste. The fish is fresh, buttery and soft, the breading is light and crunchy, and the house made tartar sauce is a thing of beauty. This location is in a classic antique building and the dining area has beautiful wood tables probably just as old. No frills, simple and clean, with sports on the TV and the bliss of perfectly fried food. 💯

The day before I couldn’t stop thinking about fish and chips and decided I would try this place the following day. I always go to Culver’s because it’s not soggy and it taste firm like when I’m in California. This place though, was amazing! They are the perfect size and I only had like 1 that was kind of wet and soggy ish inside but i still ate it lol. Very happy to find a place like this where it tastes like I’m seaside in Cali. Like 95% lol. The fries are the way they are oversees in the UK which was also cool to have like an authentic euro fry after so many years. I’ll probably go by there again tomorrow. Great place that I’ll always go at least once a week and omg don’t get me started on the curry sauce, I just ate it the whole thing with a few fries it’s definitely an insanely good curry sauce.

This was my first visit to GB fish and chips. I’ve seen a lot of their ads on Instagram and that other social media platforms and I’ve been dying to try it. Well today, I did just that. If you’re looking for a high end restaurant serving fish you better keep looking. If you’re looking for a place that offers a great menu awesome fresh food great service and a clean restaurant. This is absolutely where you need to be. I chose the half cod meal and chips. It came with a drink. I also had to have some bread pudding, which was pretty remarkable. The staff was absolutely awesome, friendly and fun. I will certainly be back support local.

This fish and chips restaurant has been on South Broadway for a very long time. They serve excellent food. I stopped in today on a whim and they had haddock as a special. They served a piece of fish that was gigantic. It was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are a fan of fish and chips.

Visiting from out of town, always looking for good fish n chips - this place did the trick! Subtle, pub like atmosphere, simple and kinda meh but super clean! My girlfriend and I split a 3 piece cod and it was plenty for both of us, and they have great chips - like the steak fry kind. Well seasoned, fresh fish, craft-fully battered and crisp. Quick service, it's like an order at the window deal. Definitely will return.

Food not bad and service is also great. I ordered clam chowder and it is good. Also ordered cod fish, 3 pieces, not outstanding but good. What I feel maybe not right or something could win my 5 stars are 1, black vinegar is not right, too simple . Black vinegar is important for fish and chips 2, the color of the fried fish is darker than golden, speculation is the oil used is today new oil mixing yesterday's, maybe. 3, 3 chicken breast strip size cod fish is smaller than "small cod fish " in uk.

Service was good, was recommended the haddock and that was an amazing choice because it was so large and so tasty, the batter had such a good crunch! I found this place with a last minute Yelp search and looking for fish n chips. I saw it had "vegetarian" options for me, which meant fries, coleslaw and mashed potatoes. The boys had fish n chips, the cod specifically, and I got a 6-7/10 review from them on the fish. We are spoiled by a place in the Springs that has Haddock for their Fish n Chips and it is off the hook awesome! No pun intended! The service here was fantastic! The beers were $2 off every day of the week during happy hours, which scores major points! Overall, it was a great experience and just wish the heat was on inside because it was an icebox on this cold, snowy day.

listen y'all, tilapia tuesday is my jam.. i need to branch out and get some of the other fish, but i'm assuming, based on the tilapia, ALL of their fish is on point.. and the tartar sauce is delish-ee-ous-ous-ous-ous.. yum!! this is my four stars.. stick with the fish.. the rest i'm not impressed.. but their potatoes suck.. if you get chips (fries) make sure they're well done.. mine were crunchy in the raw kind of way instead of the crispy kind of way.. steak fries take a couple extra minutes, friends.. and if you want mash, and you're going to eat in, you'll need to bring 3 tablespoons of butter and some cream if you want them to actually taste like anything.. and i was very excited for bread pudding.. i'm not excited anymore.. stick to the fish and you'll be a very, very happy camper..

First time trying fish n chips in a landlocked state and I was pleasantly surprised how good it was! The breading was perfectly thin yet slightly crispy and I'm pretty sure it's hand battered when you order. Fries lacked salt/seasoning. Staff was very friendly

Went in for some grub before a whiskey tasting Yelp event. Needed to get a base before ingesting straight liquor. I didn't want a massive plate of fried food, so went with a bowl of clam chowder and got a side of fries to help fill me up. The chowder came in a plastic 1 lb container that you get a the deli counter at the grocery store. I was pretty disappointed with that. To be eating out of a plastic container. It was like 10 bucks for that. The side of fries I thought was pretty skimpy. That huge plate of fried goodness (or badness depending how you look at it) going by looked good, like a good fry. Overall, it wasn't really for me. The clam chowder was not the "best in town" or whatever in my opinion. I liked the casual atmosphere, though.

This. Place. Is. Legit. Best fish and chips I've ever had! And I've been to a lot of pubs, so I'd like to think that's saying something. I can definitely appreciate that they have seafood and non-seafood options, and a variety of seafood at that. While my partner indulged in their squid and oyster, I went classic with their cod, chips, and curry sauce. I really don't think you can go wrong here. The batter is not too heavy, fried perfectly and everything was served piping hot. The chips were steak fries and the curry sauce was SO good. The kitchen even hooked it up with the lemon when I asked! This is definitely a no-frills-just-good-food kinda place and I wouldn't change a thing. Madison was also really sweet and helpful! This was one of the best meals I had during my time in Colorado and I'll be thinking about it until I return for sure.

They may make a great fish's'chips but pick up order was a bit lacking for the price. I'm sorry but 6 fish strips and 16 chips (fries) is not worth $27.95, in my opinion. The 6 fish strips is fine but I'd expect more abundance of chips for that price.

Sausage roll was the size of a golf ball and tasted like one. Pork pie was dry, lacked flavor, crust was tough and the "meat" was hard and chewy. The service was good and friendly. The atmosphere smelled like a deep fryer. It wasn't Great and it wasn't British.

My family ate here last week to get takeout for a local brewery visit. I was very happy with the quality and value of the food. For a family pack it was about $50 and the fish was fried right and delicious. We choose for our two sides the fried and they were good too. Better value than I expected for fresh fish.

I sponsor a Fish Fry for residents of my community annually. For the last three years, GB Fish and Chips has been my caterer. I bring them the filleted fish I catch in the Florida Keys every winter and we feed over 100 people every year. I can't give enough rave reviews to GB Fish and Chips for their fantastic catering. They come to our community, set up their tent and bring the side dishes I order. Their service is courteous and their preparation of the fish I provide is superb. Stopped by for lunch, on the recommendation of a colleague. The place is small, divey, setting has rectangular tables with pic-nic-style benches. The ceiling is covered with shirts from soccer teams, this place definitely feels British! For your fish, you can choose from cod, tilapia, scallops, prawns etc. don't even bother thinking what to order: COD!! I ordered the "half basket" meal, which includes their french fries and they are...amazing! The battered and fried cod was...OMG! Arguably, among the best battered and fried fish I have ever had! Amazing flavor and texture! Even more awesome when paired with their tartar sauce. This place is a must once in a while (I would go every day if fried foods were healthy :). )

Just what I was looking for! GB Fish & Chips is about as close to British fish and chips that you can get. They've got a huge selection of fish to chose from, and several other menu items. It's not quite like an English pub, but it's super casual and seems like a nice place to sit and enjoy a Mel with friends. The service was friendly and quick. If you're in the mood for fish & chips, this is the place to go!

It'a been over a year since I have been here. I was at my gym when I saw a fellow Yelper checking in. What a great idea for an after workout meal. I walked to their location about 6 blocks south of my gym. Their prices have not increased and they have beers, cider, wines & cocktails. I got a half order (3 pieces) of fried cod for $ 11.75 + chips (steak fries). They provided tartar sauce and a lemon wedge. I also got a cup of their clam chowder ($5.25) with complimentary oyster crackers. My beverage was Samuel Smith's organic cider from the U.K. You can order online or in person. My order came out quickly. Food was hot, in fact I had to let the clam chowder cool before I could eat it. The cod was crisp outside and the fish was great. I usually don't eat any version of fries, but theirs was hot and not greasy. They have 5 picnic tables, bar stools in front of 3 counters. They have a rewards program thru FiveStars.

Best Fish & Chips I have ever had outside of England and maybe even better. Real cod, crispy outside, tender inside. Totally authentic. These are the real deal. I sat at the counter and service was really fast! It's a funky vibe but very cool and comfortable. The fish is the star and it shines like a diamond!

7th for 2022 "In Cod We Trust" Today's visit, I was greeted by one of the friendliest person in whole wide world and didn't even catch her name. I know what I was ordering and I ended up with combination with side of fries and cup of clam chowders. Oops. Clam chowders? What does British know about clam chowders? After ordering and checking out the place to see if anything has changes or updated and they look all the same as last time I was frequenting. Looks like they are still offering cocktails and such with HH pricing. Too bad that I didn't take advance of that and also it was too early for adult drinks. My order was for a take out and my cashier also packaged my food. Clam chowders, a package of crackers, spoon, combo, side of chips , malt vinegar and tar tar sauce. After 30 minutes drive back at home, finding my food was still hot and fries still crispy and I was still happy man! Yes, the clam chowder was pretty good. It wasn't runny, had plenty of clams and potatoes and the right consistency and flavorful I have visited Colfax location and comparing to that one, this place is a dive.. in a good way. I need to also visit Edgewater and Arvada location and I am hoping the management will open one up in Parker. You know, we farmers know how to eat fish too you know.

This place has amazing seafood, my family considers it worth the long drive to come out here and eat. If you are in the area, I highly recommend coming here and giving the food a try!

For a great value in fish and chips, try this restaurant. My wife and I shared the full combo meal. It had a heaping portion of scallops, cod, tilapia, prawns, and squid with a good size side of chips. The fried seafood was delicious. The food was freshly prepared and served quickly. I have enjoyed fish and chips in Great Britain on many occasions and none surpassed the great meal we shared at GB Fish and Chips.

My husband loves GB fish and chips and I can't say I blame him! They are probably the most authentic we've ever had. It's a very unassuming place. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. It's not inexpensive if you're a big eater. If you're not a big eater, one platter should do you find and runs around 20 bucks a person. It was so good with the thing crispy batter and amazing tartar sauce. The fries weren't my favorite but my husband loves them. Their steak fries. I like homemade natural fries. Just cut the potato and put it in hot oil. Maybe they'll get the message? There's a full bar. And it's just super low key. We went back and my husband tried the shrimp which was equally amazing. Wish we could go back again before we leave. But maybe you guys can go for us

This place was so good, we came for a second dinner. This was the FRESHEST batch of fish and chips I've had in life. The fish batter was almost aerated and so light and fluffy. We ordered a half order of cod (6 pieces) and an order of chips (fries). There are so many combinations and English classics that you can get: seafood variations, meat pies, Shepard pies. But you cannot come here and not get a batch of cod and fries. You just cannot. The woman at the front counter was so sweet and helpful with recommendations. Arguably the best fish and chips in Denver! *update: we visited FOUR times during our 5-day stay lol

Fun ambiance with good food and friendly service. They have different fish options which is nice, I think since you have to buy the "chips" separately it should come in a separate basket as a larger portion instead of a small side next to the fish...just my suggestion!

My daughter and I had lunch here for the first time today, it was recommended by a random person at the dog park (weird convos you get into). We liked, plenty of choices of fish and sides. We shared a half combo and it was plenty, the Cod pieces are large. I would not say it's the best fish and chips I've ever had (states along the east and west coast are the best IMO) but it was decent. Definitely worth a try.

We were very unhappy with the food. The fish was quite greasy. We primarily went there to try their pasties. It is difficult to find a restaurant that has pasties. They are an upper Michigan thing. We were disappointed in them as well. The dough is suppose to be flaky, like a pie dough. It was not at all flaky. Not like the type of dough they should have. The continents were not good either. They were tasteless and did not have the correct ratio of meat, potatoes, onions. We will not go back and do not recommend it.

have not been here for a while. Stepped in on 11/7 and ordered 3 pieces of cod. The fish was very small in portion, and heavily breaded. The filets were overpowered by batter. Then it was fried way to long, very over done. we had a total of 6 pieces/ one order of fries(very small) and a side coleslaw(small cup) and two sodas. It came to 37 dollars!!! There is no value here, stay at home and make it yourself. one star

Two words: so good. The ambiance is casual, like a pub. They do serve alcohol. Order from the counter and seat yourself. The fish are expertly crisped and I very sincerely suggest the combination plate. I am funny about scallops but these are perfection. The only thing preventing me from leaving 5 stars are the fries (they were soggy). Great place to eat, though.

Was craving some fish and chips for cheat day. Ordered take out, and did the half combo which consist of cod, talapia, squid, shrimp, 2 scallops. There is a choice of side, and didn't think chips was fries, so that was on me. I got coleslaw instead. There's nothing special about it, didn't stick out to me. Seemed to not have any flavor or seasoning in the batter or the seafood. It did taste extra greasy though. It came with a side of tartar, vinegar and cocktail sauce- missing some hot sauce.

Fantastic fish and chips! Some of the best I've had in quite some time. The batter was light and crispy and the fish (I ordered cod) was nicely cooked inside... Plenty of moisture and flakey. The steak fries were great too! Plenty of seating inside and outside. Pricing was $10-$20 and very worth it. They have a variety of options with different fish and half/full order/combos available.

I originally stopped here because my buddy helped me out and I heard this was one of his favorite places to eat. I bought some gift cards for him and grabbed one for myself. So when we were in the area I decided to stop here for lunch. We got 2 half orders of codfish and chips. (Half orders are plenty of food!) It came with a container of vinegar and two containers of tartar sauce. There was a couple eating inside but because of COVID we felt more comfortable eating in the car. The fish was fresh, great-tasting and the fries were good and plentiful! I understand why my buddy favors this place. I didn't notice anything else on the menu because we specifically came to try the fish and chips. We'll be back when we can enjoy sitting out on their back patio.

I just got back home from Denver. This was the BEST meal that I had during my trip. And let me tell you, Denver has some amazing ass food. But THIS meal... just exceptional. This is definitely a divey little joint. You order at the counter, take a number, and then you can sit either inside or outside (tables are all spaced out and COVID friendly). All staff was wearing masks and other customers were wearing masks when they weren't seated at their table. I sat outside on the patio and it's super cute! Plenty of room to social distance and they've got those cute little string lights. There's a small parking lot on the side of the building. Super friendly staff!!! From the gentleman at the counter to the young man who delivered my food, everyone was super friendly and helpful. But anyways, let's get to what's most important: those fish and chips! WOOOO! I opted for the combo plate which comes with 1 cod, 1 tilapia, 1 prawn, 1 squid and 2 scallops plus your choice of side. I subbed the squid for another piece of cod (not a fan of squid and there's a was a $2 upcharge for subs) and of course, opted for the chips as my side. That. Batter. Was. PERFECTO! A crispy fried delight. I think heaven was up in that batter because once I had a taste, it was like heaven in my MOUTH! So friggin' delicious. I enjoyed EVERYTHANG that I received. The cod was flaked up for the GAWDS! The shrimp and scallops were amazing too. And I don't think I've EVER had fried tilapia this good in my life. I feel like I don't ever eat it fried, but it's making me want to take a stab at it in my kitchen at this point. I mean, just amazing fried fish, yo! And those chips were perf too. Just the right amount of crispiness and saltiness to go perfectly alongside the seafood. And those PORTIONS, though! WOW! I was struggling to finish my meal. I'm usually a "let's take it to go and eat the rest later or tomorrow kind of gal". But I was not having that at GB. They were truly testing your girl. They made me stretch out this already large tummy! I just could NOT stop eating. I was still chomping even though my ass was waaay passed full. That's you KNOW sh*t is good! Impressed. Just, so totally impressed. Honestly can't believe that this spot doesn't have more reviews at this point. GB has made me a total fan, and I'll be on the hunt for them when I return back to Denver. Until then, I'll be dreaming about this food like whaaaaa!!!!

Going with 2 stars because I'm super annoyed with this place anymore. We ordered door dash a full combo with extra scallops and squid. Get our food and there's barely no food. So I check and instead of giving us a full combo we got a half combo and none of our extra foods. I can them and they say next time they'll make it up and took my info so I can claim the rest of our food later. Fast forward 2 days... decided to swing by for lunch. Was stoked that I had food credit so I order my half combo and sub tilapia for scallops plus Bonnie squid and scallops ... dude was super nice and apologized for the error. Even said I got this and made sure to note the ticket that it's a correction to our mistake we can't have that happen again. Now I guess I should know by now to check my food but they swore it's fixed. I mean how can you fuck up fuck up fix right.... WRONG. Get back to work open my food and sure as shit I'm missing food again. Not sure who they have working in back but they clearly cannot count. This time missing 2 scallop, a squid, and a prawn. Not only am I now 30 min late to work but I'll have a cold box of fried fish and a hot scallop, squid and shrimp to eat. Let alone the food is steeping in its own juices inside the new clear containers they use while I wait for them to remake half of it. Had they wanted to make it right they would have just remade my whole meal so I could enjoy the hot fresh meal I paid for. Needless to say I don't plan on coming back. Makes me wonder how many people are actually getting all the food they paid for given they don't list the number of pieces you should get. Side note the containers they use now are terrible. Our whole meal was a soggy wet mess.

Always hot, amazing food. Friendly and cool staff . Front counters and tables are usually a little dirty but will be wiped down if asked politely. Good on yah, mates!

The cod is amazing, especially with the side of curry. I recently tried the prawns. Tasty, but a bit tough. The problem is it's gotten very expensive. The half order of cod alone was $12.95, the side is $2.50. If you get the meal it's nearly $20. And you're only getting a drink and a side with your fish. I got a half order of cod with a side of curry and a half order of prawns. With tip it was almost $32! That's too much for lunch. But did I mention it's really tasty?

I lived in England for a few years, I guess that's where I got the taste for Fishin Chips! I love this place, great , authentic food, just like I was there! The real deal. Best fish and chips ever!
