This place is a gem - couple blocks from the Beacon, perfect for people who want something casual. Beer list is great, food menu is short/simple, you seat yourself and order at the bar - but it's exactly what you're looking for with your friends and some good beer. No frills here, just a good vibe. Wings and fries were especially delicious.

Gebhard's Beer Culture boasts a wide variety of unique beers, most on draft. They also have a kitchen with delicious burgers and snacks. We loved the pretzel! Our favorite part of Gebhard's is the friendly staff and the unique TV choices. While we were there we watched most of Jaws, without sound. And then even caught part of Flubber after, amazing! Would highly recommend this spot.

Overall, super solid bar with great food and drinks. Brandon, the bartender the night we were there, was awesome. Poured perfect Guinness, asked us numerous times how we were doing, and answered all our questions. Highly recommended to visit if you are looking for a laid back, low stress, fun bar.

I am in the city for a concert and this place was recommend by my brother. So far so great as they have an excellent and varied beer selection and good service! Miguel took good care of me from the moment I walked in; I highly recommend this place!

Nice space, great beer selection, pretty good food. The front has a cool all-glass area if you're into sunshine and people-watching, while the rest of the bar is dimmer and more recessed from the street if you're a vampire. A little tough to get the bartenders' attention even when there weren't too many folks in there, but it may have just been an off night. Overall great spot.

This place has great wings! Lots of sauce flavors. And the chicken meat is DENSE. You dont get that very often. Good beer selection too

Decent beer list, not cheap, cool pinball arcade upstairs!

Stopped here for pre-movie drinks and grub.. conveniently close to the Lincoln Square AMC. The tots and sliders were excellent! Good beer selection, but pretty pricey drafts.

Nice little bar with great service and good amount of seating! They have beer flights and food! Beer was not bad! Decent prices there! Good amount of choices too! The underburg was just okay it's a strong earthy/minty flavor There's a restroom which is nice. The place gets a little busy! I would def come back for the ambiance and the service!

I paid $15 for a can of wine. Twice. I think you need to check your prices especially when I can go to an actual wine bar 3 blocks away and pay less. Thank you, I will go somewhere else. Go cry about it.

Decent selection of beer and you can order flights. Also got an order of the pretzel bites which were pretty unique - they almost seemed like a cut-up large pretzel that was then oven baked (a bit light on the salt). Service was really friendly and I enjoyed the playlist as well.

Decent beer selection, but not an amazing one -- a lot of the breweries from around the city didn't make an appearance on their tap list. The seating situation was good and the vibes here were fine. The food itself was pretty mediocre, I wouldn't eat here if you can help it.

Good neighborhood bar with fast service. We came here on a Saturday night and there were plenty of seats available. They have a large beer selection with some unique choices. The food was good, some of the wings were a little dry and they could have been crispier. The curds came with an interesting mustard mayo sauce.

Eclectic bar relatively close to Central Park. What I liked: - Great craft beer selection. I like bars like this that support beers from smaller breweries rather than the big chains. - service was good. Was given a couple tasters to help me choose a beer. I like the vibe of the place. They have a sarcastic sign on the wall about not serving Lite beer. Seemed authentic.

Went post marathon and had a great time. The staff was friendly and plenty of beer options.

Good place for a late night beer! Lots of choices on draft and best of all, they have three pinball machines--haven't played those in years. The place was completely empty except for a few customers at 10 pm on a weeknight.

We stopped in here for a quick bite...I hadn't eaten lunch so was plenty hungry...I ordered the BC burger medium rare to rare with a side of fries and my friend ordered a cheeseburger well done. Sacrilegious in my eyes but I'm not going to judge my friend. A stranger on the other hand, I have no issues doing that. Once our food arrived (it took a while and I'm not sure why since it wasn't busy and they're just burgers) we dug in. Being very hungry I didn't stop until a bunch of bites to notice my burger was well done..I think it was disguised under the spiciness of the pimento cheese and possibly the jalapeños. At that point, I wasn't going to send back (hate doing that) since I ate a third of it...cause I was so hungry, but what a disappointment. Maybe the sever got our orders confused? But then again, maybe he should have been written down which he didn't do. Burger had a lot of potential and in my mind was ruined by overcooking. I also think the option of meat being well done should be banned but is that too extreme? The fries were lukewarm, bland and nothing special. Clearly came out of some kind of cheap frozen bag from the supermarket. I rarely give negative feedback on restaurants/bars, especially during such tenuous times but clearly the staff is just dialing it in. It was one of the most unsatisfying disappointing cheeseburgers I have ever had. And the service was so-so....there's nothing special about Gebhards and I won't be back.

We stopped by for a couple of drinks before dinner. The outdoor seating area adjacent to the bar was limited, but had a casual, laid back vibe. The drinks were quite pricey, though, and even a $14+ beer came with a plastic cup, not glass. The prices just didn't match the service or atmosphere.

I love a good dive bar. At best, you find friendly bartenders, cheap booze, and a welcoming crowd of regulars. On the other hand, you could end up here. We decided to try Gebhard's after seeing pictures of their sliders online. They no longer serve sliders but the burgers looked great in pictures. We ordered two beers, the pretzel pieces, and two burgers. Our bartender was engrossed in a conversation with a woman at the bar the entire time that we were there. She was hardly even listening to us when we ordered; she didn't even notice the empty glasses of others at the bar. It was truly bizarre. One of the guys sitting at the bar alone was repeatedly trying to nicely flag her down for a refill and she couldn't have cared less. I ordered a fruit beer and somehow ended up with a strawberry cider. The cider itself was nice but sort of strange that she didn't ask if cider was okay. At this point though, we were still giving this place the benefit of the doubt. When we ordered one of the burgers, we thought we asked for no mayo, but couldn't remember for sure if we had, in fact, asked, so we went back up to confirm. She informed us (kind of rudely) that the burger doesn't come with mayo and that I must've read the wrong description...? Which makes no sense, but again, benefit of the doubt, maybe even though it says on the menu explicitly that it comes with mayo, I guess it's possible that it doesn't...? Surprise of the century- it came with mayo, spread in a generous portion on both buns! ... folks, please know your menu, and if you aren't sure, just consult it!! You don't have to be overly kind to me, but at least be correct. The pretzel pieces were actually disgusting. Instead of being soft and fluffy or crunchy and savory, they were this weird flash-fried consistency and oily. I have no idea who would want to eat these. The burgers themselves - pretty standard, not memorable but not bad either. Standard bar fare. The fries were the best part- perfect crunch to them, good portion size. It seems like they get some regulars so they won't exactly be hurting for business, but I would avoid. For the quality of "service" here, you could easily go somewhere cheaper, or with better food, or both. Disappointing.

The place was fine, even if it smells odd. What I found egregious is the fact that their wine menu has no prices (see photo), but they charged me $15 for a CANNED wine. Yes, you read that correctly. $15 for a CANNED wine.

Gets the job done kind of beer spot. Great and varying selections of beer in a laid back setting. Ample room to enjoy conversation even with a full house. Didn't try the food but the pretzel looked amazing. Will be back for a flight and some food.

I really thought I was gonna see burly men in beards drinking from kegs and clinking beer mugs in this UWS beer hall. TOTAL opposite! Gerbhard's has an edgy, eclectic and cool crowd. A few steps heading down from street level, entrance on left, then the place comes off three ways: you're in a basement, I just walked into 1981's 'American Werewolf In London' pub and you just stepped back in time to the Middle Ages- all into one. Low ceilings, lots of high tops- plus the Bar area has these funky red lightbulbs bouncing back at their drinking glass rack- I don't know if this is a nostalgia kick for me but I was digging it. Never the beer drinker, hubs though wanted to get his on. I don't know what reigns supreme here in terms of food, but I did a once over at the menu and noticed a few bites I could eat. Menu seems well-rounded with something for carnivores, Pescatarians, Vegans and Vegetarians. Music was an 80s American and British pop mashup with Soft Cell's 'Tainted Love', Blondie, Duran Duran, etc on the playlist. You place food and beer orders at the Bar and then it's brought to you. Bartenders were knowledgeable and well-versed in the beer list when hubs was unsure of a few- plus they also have a beer rundown on the chalkboard. My Vegan Mushroom Tacos with Tofu 'aioli' were delicious plus their ginormous pretzel was warm chewy good. This spot has a nice crowd going- I mean...it was practically filled to capacity. Service was good and honestly I don't mind coming back for the nice menu...while hubs enjoys his beer.

This is a great bar that deserves a place on any "top NYC bars" list. It stands out for its beer specialty, but for me, it stood out for having two floors that are totally different from one another, in addition to great snacks and convenience in location. Downstairs is more of a divey ambiance, with plenty of space to sit, a bar, and TVs. Upstairs is not as crowded, and that's where the games, like darts and foosball, live. There are also couches upstairs, and it's more secluded, great for a date with someone you actually like. Tried a couple beers - one had a chocolatey taste and the other was more sour. I'm not a drinker, but I thought the variety they carry was cool. Tried the food as well! Pretzels, if you wanna get into the German culture, are so warm and fluffy. The tator tots are yummy, too. Would recommend for hanging with friends or a fun, casual date.

Just a regular beer serving bar. I wouldn't say there's anything special here. Maybe it's a good place to gather with friends if you don't really care about the quality you're getting. What annoyed me was that on their website, instead of having a list of their canned beers, someone was too lazy and just took a picture of the canned beers they had and uploaded it. But those pictures weren't even updated so some of those beers aren't even available. As for the drafts, I just think it could be better, like a better selection. And the food is of course your regular bar food. The lemon pepper wings were pretty good IMO; I had asked for sweet and spicy but got buffalo for my other set of wings so that was disappointing. That's all

Meh. Really wanted to like this local bar. Have tried four times now and they can't seem to get it to work. Food is expensive and quality is poor. Had a burger and honestly couldn't finish it. Meat tasted like it was just a frozen patty microwaved. Understand the paper plate thing but it made it worse. Service isn't great but truly hope they survive as I do know my friend who is a major beer lover thinks their beer selection is the best in the hood! Stay away from the food but enjoy the beer!

Really love the atmosphere! Great beer selection! Haven't had the food, but it seems secondary to be honest to their beer selection. All the bartenders that have taken care of me have been amazing!

Great, sweet bar and grill. Enjoyed the drinks, the atmosphere, the generally friendly staff, and Fury Road on the tv. My criticism is that I ordered the nachos which advertised specific ingredients on the menu including beans, corn, cheddar, sour cream. None of these were present (though the bartender told me he saw the cheddar - the cheese sauce (a separate ingredient listed) was there, but no distinct cheddar (grated?) that I could detect. There were other ingredients not listed on the menu (onions and tomatoes). This review is super annoying potentially and I acknowledge that, buuuuut - I ordered the dish because of the beans. By the time I realized they were not there, I had eaten a relative number of nachos (they were tasty!). I mentioned it to the bar tenders. When I asked for the check, it came without any acknowledgment - or removed charge. I mentioned this also to the bartender, he immediately said he would try to remove the nachos charge. Great, but that's too much! I didn't need the whole dish to go uncharged - I ate a lot of nachosI just thought a small acknowledgement - maybe my beer could be comped? - could have been offered. It's not nice to ask for a concession, but it seemed appropriate - would have been better if the bartender had offered without me having to point it out. Restaurant work is really hard - I felt a little like a jerk but also that my complaints were valid.

Quite possibly the least pretentious beer bar I've been to on The Cursèd Island yet. Some really nice stuff on draft, and some of the best damned chicken fingers you'll ever come across. Another review commented about the prices being high, but some of the premium priced beers you'll find here are going to be comparable to a bottle shop's cost too!

I've been here a number of times so far and have failed to pen a review. The bar is the brother/sister co-owned bar of Beer Culture in midtown (which I've also frequented a number of times). Usually this spot participates in the beer and whiskey etc passports that give you great deals on drinks at different spots you wouldn't normally find or check out on your own or maybe would. But it opens you to new and fun spots like this one. A few of my friends are obsessed with the dive Irish bar next door. I'm more obsessed with craft and refined beers than dive pubs but both are special in their own way. Beer is priced a bit more expensive than some spots but there's a dollar off on drafts during happy hour. Caught up with a friend recently and was surprised to have three craft beers come out to just around twenty bucks still. Not bad. Tried their tots and dipping sauces (spicy mayo/some kind of pineapple pepper jam relish). They also have poutine and cheese curds on the menu which almost happened but I restrained myself. The staff is great and makes great recommendations. I really wanted 'Sweet Baby Jesus' (trust me in that it's a beer and I'm not a religious fanatic and a delicious one at that's brewed with peanut butter) and they thought they ran out of it but literally dug into the back of the fridge to find the last bottle for me. Winning. Not a lot of bad things I can say about the spot especially when they have imperial stouts, porters, brown ales, triple ipas, belgium beers you've never heard of before in your life. If the draft menu doesn't suck you in they have hundreds of bottles in the fridges. You can also take beer to go for pretty much half the price of what you pay to cork it and drink it in the shop.

The chicken tenders and fries from here were decent. My friend ordered the Chicago dog also ok. Would not recommend the poutine at all ... it was just cheese fries... I don't have a photo but literally we were served fries with just cheese. Not bad tasting but not what was advertised. As for the drinks the green tea shots were good but the vodka cranberry was watered down so much. There was like no vodka and barely any cranberry. The whiskey sours we got tasted hoppy like beer. I understand a bar not having good food but the drinks? The whole point is the drinks haha.

A perfect tap house with lots of little nooks and crannies to sit and contemplate the extensive on tap, can and bottle menus. Very impressive variety, knowledgeable cicerone and an all around upbeat vibe. At 4 pm on a Thursday there was a nice, small crowd and when we returned with about 25 friends later on for an after party, it was filled but not packed. We headed upstairs to a neat attic type space that had table shuffleboard with and a great big old low (octagon ?) wooden card table that I thought was pretty unique. Good music, nice people, great beer..and steps away from the train on Broadway/72nd.

Fried cheese curd is to die for!! Fantastic bartender. Fantastic craft beer selections. It was a quite cold winter Thursday...can't beat that! Really don't want to share...but!! Come on by and enjoy...Cheers!!

The vibe was great for a Sunday night neighborhood bar. Even though the food menu is limited on a Sunday evening, the fried cheese curds are quite good. I'll go again just for the energy! Service is quite friendly too. I tried the "two roads" beer and I am a blue moon drinker. Not good ;) but then I found out that you can actually sample before you order. Next time I'll do that.

I feel like this place should be better than it is. I was curious why it wasn't more crowded, and now after having been there, I think I know why. First off, the food is way overpriced, even by New York City standards. A bacon cheeseburger with fries was $24, before tip. And the burger wasn't that great either (a bit sloppy) and the fries were way too salty (as was my friend's tater tots). Tack on an $8 beer, and a tip, and now we're looking at close to $40 for an average burger, fries and beer. While it has a good beer list and ample TV's, that simply isn't worth it. It has an upstairs bar with games, and so I'd like to go back at a time when it's not reserved for a party, and people are actually there.

As a craft beer lover, I'm usually looking to check out the craft beer scene in the city. Been here a few times with various group sizes at different times of the day. My experience here has been nothing short of a pleasant one. The bartenders are helpful if in need of a recommendation and they have a nice rotating selection of both tap and cans. During the day is more of a nice chill vibe while in the evenings it can be a bit livelier (I dig both). Haven't tried the food here but friends had, and they've complemented the dishes each time. If you're looking for a nice craft beer to enjoy on the upper west side, then I'd recommend giving this spot a try.

I hesitate to post a review at all because it perhaps is unfair to rate a beer bar on anything but the beer. The beer selection is pretty good, with a number of draft choices and tons more by the bottle. The vibe is also very good - casual neighborhood bar, some games upstairs. The food is, well, let's just say that my three-star rating in this review is the result of averaging five stars for the beer offerings and one star for the kitchen. I would absolutely love this place if they put some effort into the food. Until then, it's a great place to stop for a beer before finding something to eat somewhere else!

Bartenders are great. I really like that we have a place like this on the UWS (with sort of a hip Brooklyn vibe). The beer selection is massive. However, yesterday I ordered a draft beer and was surprised to be charged $14 for it. It was not a fancy import European beer or hipster art beer from a microbrewery, it was just a Maine beer I've gotten for $7-9 for the entire bottle--instead, I got a pint that was a little flat, and not-quite-cold ... for $14. Even for Manhattan, that is way expensive. Also, the place is starting to feel gritty, like it needs to be cleaned. The bathroom looks a little bit like a crack-den, and everything seems like it has grime on it. It makes me hesitant to actually order food from here. The tables all need shimmies because they all wobble, the whole place needs a refresh / deep scrubbing.

Great beer spot! My bf and I love trying craft beer spots and we were up on the west side and came across this place. Lots of outdoor seating and a decently wide selection of brews. Definitely a cool spot to stop by it you're just craving a cold drink!

I like this bar a lot. Whenever I'm in the UWS I recommend to come here. The beer selection is awesome and they have a lot of crafty beers. The appetizers and small plates they have are delicious. I usually get wings ,nachos and of course fries or tater tots. The fries aren't my favorite but everything else is good. There's an upstairs and downstairs they have foosball to play with. The ambiance is very chill you order at the bar and sit wherever you want. This was my third time coming here and I have a great time all the time. The staff is friendly so I would definitely continue coming here. I would recommend this place for someone who likes beer and casual ambiance.

It was a party of the three of us on Thursday, October 25th at about 7:30PM. You walk down into a basement bar, which kind of looks like a dive bar, but pretty popular. I found this place on Yelp, which most people enjoy; however, we had a totally "off" experience. We sat at a table and took a look at the menu. You order at the bar, and the food is brought out. Well, all three of us ordered food. My food was one of the specials. I think it was a chicken cheesesteak grilled cheese. Guess what? They forgot it! Yes, the food for the other two people came out, and then I waited an additional five minutes and then I inquired at the bar. They told me that "she forgot to put it in". All in all, I received the food 25 minutes after the other food was brought to the table. On the menu, it says the sandwich comes with House Made Chips. Guess what? It doesn't. My plate came piled with very stale bagged tortilla chips. I'm not kidding. One bite of those, and I was most certainly not going to consider continuing with those. Meh.....probably wouldn't come back, unless someone else really wanted to go.

Not a bad place. It's an interesting setup. When you walk in, by descending some steps, there is a little bar up front but most of the action takes places at the back bar. When I was there, service was friendly but very slow, even when there was only one other person waiting to get a beer. They had three kegs that were tapped but didn't bother to erase the beers on the chalkboard sign until about an hour later (that's a pet peeve of mine). I didn't understand why the didn't just erase it after I heard three people ask for a beer that was already gone. The reason that's a pet peeve is because they have to explain that the beer is out and then the person has to make another decision so it just takes even longer to get a beer. Prices are high. $9 a mason jar of Greenpoint Hook, Line & Sinker? That would be pricey for a pint much less a small jar. Also paid $9 for a pint of Gun Hill pale ale. I liked the beer selection but I'm not a fan of waiting long periods to overpay for beer. Not my type of place, but give it a try. It's a decent vibe. And the tater tots are very good!

Chill west-coasty type of bar with an enormous beer selection and burgers. Beers are a lot cheaper if you get them to go vs. to stay, which is a bit annoying: I can drink it out of the can, don't charge me over double the amount to put it in a glass ($4 vs. $9 for the stout I wanted). I ended up not ordering a beer because of this. All food has to be ordered at the bar. I had the Shroom & Swiss burger without a bun and enjoyed it. Tried a bite of the BC burger and that seemed fine as well, though the cheese texture was a bit off. French fries are pretty standard, although after ordering I noticed that they have a few different types (waffle, cajun, etc.) as well as lots of sauce options aside from ketchup - oops, next time. I'd come back for bar snack food (pretzels/fries) and a beer but skip the burgers next time around since each one with fries ran about $20. Solid rock/angst playlist, and not at all crowded around mid-day Saturday.

After dining at Sushi Yasaka across the street, we wanted to grab a drink, and Gebhard's loud, bold-faced signage beckoned to us. I also think the bar has a name with great allure. This place is so wonderful! It's just a chill, low-key bar (but not divey) with a ton of beer options, including flights. When we went in on a Friday night around 9:30pm, there was still plenty of seating available. I must say that the standout feature was its music! I struggled deeply to Shazam practically every song they were playing, though each attempt was a failure given the din of the chatting patrons. The two songs I do remember from that night were The Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog" and The Replacements' "I Will Dare," if that gives you an idea of the ~*bar vibes*~.

Got the chili, loved all the onions! The garlic fries were good, but nothing I couldn't whip up at home ($7). The sliders were not my fave. My hub ordered them and enjoyed them, where I felt the meat tasted reheated. The Jack's something or other dark beer was really good! Loved the atmosphere. We chilled for a while, ordered well tequilla shots ($10/per)...listened to great music.

I feel like this place is good for drinks , i tried the burger and the cheese balls and I feel like the french fries were the main character of it all , would def come back for the fries and some drinks but that's it

I had high hopes for manhattan. This place disappoints. Their beer selection isn't the worst, but it's average at best. I wouldn't put "beer" in the name of the restaurant with the selection they had tonight. The waitstaff was friendly but not very attentive. The food all came out at once. Pretzel bites were a diced up pretzel that was soaked in oil. The nachos were a plate of plain chips with a gallon or so of the most disgusting cheese sauce I've ever had. Pretty sure the 7-11 down the street threw out their cheese sauce dispenser and they picked it up and used what was left in it. Shoestring fries were ok, but they were mostly the little short end pieces at the bottom of the bag. Ordered them with the "aunt flo's" seasoning, not sure if they messed up or not, but they were just doused in salt and diced parsley. The fried chicken sandwich was very good, but no seasoning and the chili dog was good.

There's a little seating area at street level, but otherwise this place looks like your typical basement dive bar from the outside. However, once inside you realise looks can be deceiving. As the name implies, Gebhard's specialises in beer. They have an absolute huge selection of beers of every style imaginable, from lagers, through IPAs, stouts and wheat beers to ciders and more. Many are on draught, with an even largely selection of cans and bottles. The staff are very friendly and helpful with guiding you to a style of choice if you're undecided on what to drink. There is a typical bar food menu, which helps fill a hole, but is nothing special. This is not the place to come to for a nice meal, but for sure is somewhere to come for the beer. I'm looking forward to going back next time I'm in NYC.

Cool bar in the Upper West Side. The lady and I were on a casual stroll one Saturday (11/04/17) afternoon and stumbled upon Gebhard's. It turned out to be a great find! The setup is a welcoming beer hall. Bar and table seating towards the back with televisions playing football - that's my kind of scene. There's a smaller section upstairs that includes darts and foosball. Patrons and bartenders alike were very friendly. The beer selection was legitimate. There was a good variety of known classics and harder to find craft beers. For example, Lawson's Sip of Sunshine was in stock during my visit. Food options included bar favorites and a weekend brunch menu. We had the fried chicken sandwich and nachos. Both items filled the spot. I recommend coming here if you're looking for a casual hangout with good beers and ample food. I know I'll be back!

I realized a review update was in order! Much of the original review stands (the poutine remains magnificent, the beer selection vast, the service friendly) but there are a few big changes: - They have liquor now. No mixology here, but if you want a drink or a shot, you got it. - Thie chicken sandwich is now fantastic. The menu overall's changed a few times since this place opened, and while some changes were sad (they had this pickle-heavy salad that was unique and terrific and I miss it often), other changes were for the better. The chicken sandwich is one of these changes for the better. They have events like trivia nights, and some board games behind the bar. It gets lively, but not usually crowded, in the evenings. I like it best earlier and on weekends, though, when it's quiet and you can hear the soundtrack that the weekend bartender, Priscilla, picks out.

I read about this place in a foodie article on the top 10 places to go in the city right now [summer 2017] and this joint sounded like a decent place we could hit up for snacks and craft beer. We wound up really needing a drink and somewhere to sit and think about what we needed to do next so we walked over out of Central Park. We almost walked right past the entrance so don't let it slip by you - you walk downstairs into a basement bar that has both sidewalk awning seating as well as an upstairs area with tables, games and balcony seating. Service is a no go but they do for free wifi which is a plus. They had a good amount of beers on tap as well as a hefty bottle and can list. They had some NY beers but I'm an IPA gal and found myself gravitating to the bottles. Beer was decently priced. All my beer was tasty but I didn't really try the tap stuff. My boyfriend enjoyed his beers though and he tried a few. You go up to the bar yourself for service. The menu actually has some tasty sounding items like burgers and chicken sandwiches, poutines, and tater tots but we just wanted a snack and I love me some cheese so the fried cheese curds with a spicy sweet pineapple chutney sauce. They were fried to perfection and the sauce was bomb. I was licking my silverware. It sort of reminded me of pimento cheese flavors when you ate it all together. I almost ordered seconds! They actually had a whole list of sauces they make for dipping you can order and I almost ordered fries just so I could try all the delicious sounding sauces. Definitely a nice low key pub craft beer joint with tasty food and a great place to hang with friends. I will be sure to stop back in here next time I'm in town.

One of my favorite places on the upper west. Love a craft beer you can't really find? Check this place out. The poutine is so good and goes great with a draft. After covid it seems like not as many people frequent but im sure with the weather getting better they will see a jump in business!

I found this bar looking for a quick bite on my Seated app before a show nearby. The menu had a lot of good options and I especially was a fan of the Showaffletots (fries, waffle fries, tots.) They have a great beer selection and were happy to give recommendations. It was a little diveyer in appearance than I initially thought but the vibe and atmosphere were still greaT.

Neat spot in the UWS where neat spots are needed. Two floors, so fairly sizable. The bartender was awfully slow, though... Very, very large beer selection, though some of the beers on the menu may or may not be available. Some games like darts to be had. Some seating on the 2nd floor overlooking the street. And some TVs, but not an obnoxious amount. The food looked good! In a bar kind of way. But hearty, unique-enough...basically perfect bar food.

I love this bar! Every time I come here I am impressed by the service and the quality of the beers they have on tap. When you walk in you have the option of sitting at a table or sitting at the bar. They do a great job of providing signage at the tables saying you order at the bar. There is no table service at this bar!! But again, the bartenders are great and attentive at the bar. Shout out to Steph, she's always on it! Very casual with nice patrons. $7-$10 for a craft beer, typical for NYC. Nice place to enjoy a casual drink.

Great "hidden gem" in the uws. Local vibes mand good selection of beer in a chill atmoshpere. The music playing on a Saturday afternoon was ON POINT !! All the r&b & Hip Hop classics , Love it

A great beer bar on the upper west side. They have a good selection of bottles and cans as well as a significant tap list. Service was prompt and friendly. I enjoyed the cheese board and the pretzel. The Maudite was a very nice brew. Malty and spicy, but not so intensely alcoholic as similar beers. The Shake chocolate porter was a pleasant surprise. Much less hoppy than most beers from the Western US, and with strong chocolate notes that manage to not seem artificial. (A rare trick for "chocolate beers", in my experience.) La Trappe Isid'or was very effervescent and had notes of spice.

So this place was awesome. When the bartender told me this was a "bottle shop," meaning, you could buy "looseys" to go or drink it there...it's like A bodega that you could drink at. They also have Bavarian pretzels (the cheese sauce was just aight though) and poutine made with fries OR tots. Ok. That's my sort of place. You can sit at the bar or tables. I think there was a pool table upstairs? I liked this joint. Oh yes and the beer selection was phenom.
