Gecko Gecko serves up classic Thai cuisine using local California-grown ingredients. The staff is super friendly and courteous, and the restaurant itself is has a modern look compared to other Thai restaurants in the area, yet it still has that cozy, casual feel. The walls are beautifully decorated with simple portraits and thatch crafts, and the entire restaurant is clean and inviting. It definitely gave a nice intimate vibe that would be nice for a date night. The food is fresh, beautiful, and downright delicious. Honestly, they serve the best Pad Thai my girlfriend and I have ever had! It wasn't overly sweet, but it was savory and delectable. Also, the spicy basil fried rice had just the perfect amount of kick. Each special was moderately priced at $13.95, though the food was much better than more expensive places we've had. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to try a place downtown.

Service was fast and friendly. I ordered the lunch special with the chicken green curry and chicken satay, which came with peanut sauce. Both tasted great! There is free, password-protected WiFi (so your web traffic is encrypted) as well. 4 stars because the food was good but not mind blowing.

The wonderful and polite staff and the tasty food make this place an excellent choice. The staff care about you enjoying your food and experience. My go to favorite is the sweet potato curry. Deep flavor, chunky vegetables and served with a cabbage slaw salad I love. The vegetarian empanadas are also one not to miss and come served with cucumber salad. My whole office loves coming here regularly.

Best Thai I've had in the Bay Area! You can tell that they use high quality ingredients, which makes all the difference for me. Everything I've had has been really flavorful and delicious. The service is fantastic, really great staff. Make reservations if you're dining on the wknd, it's small and gets packed.

I love Thai food and this place does not disappoint. The space is very comfy and has nice decorations. Service was pretty fast but the last time I went there was a wait time because the place was packed. Reasonably priced and the portions are standard.

Flavorful and fresh with a unique expansive menu. We requested mild and dishes came out very spicy. It seems that was their base and if you request moderate or spicy no telling what you may get. Convent location to parking garage a big plus.

Still great after all these years! I used to work around the corner and went a lot... But changed jobs and haven't been back until today. The pumpkin red curry was delicious! Perfectly spicy and so thick and creamy with coconut milk, hearty veggies, and plenty of chicken. The flank steak noodle soup was also a hit - a huge bowl that we couldn't finish. One star off for atmosphere - it used to be less cavernous with some curtains they had up, but those are gone, so it was very loud with only a few other tables conversations happening behind us. Overall really great!

Ordered the yellow curry with chicken in the lunch special. This could be a fluke, but I was not impressed. The vegetables tasted like they were cooked in water and added to the curry and the chicken is over cooked and had the strong chicken stink. I expect Thai restaurants to be able to do chicken tender, so am rather disappointed. The spring roll is also nothing special. Thai iced tea is good. And free wifi and friendly staff!
