Yelp
Geeky Teas & Games, we re-meet again in the city of Burbank, but this time on a new block...
Bigger and bolder with even more fun and wonders to explore from the full parking lot #Upgrade #EvenMoreInTheBack - to the front door...
Looking for the Doctor/the Tardis? You can find it inside right when you open the door to this new lavish Geeky Teas Cavern along with a huge shop, check-in/register area, tons of rooms, tables, hidden gems and more.
This board game spacious cafe house has it's signature green walls, game filled shelves (beyond tall), loads of hands of deck and that same nostalgic feel from it's Magnolia Blvd/Lincoln day, now on the corner of Alameda Avenue/Main Street - with The Original Yaki's Teriyaki Bowl in front and some small neighboring businesses next door.
GT&G is still very much the main star of the show as the biggest and main spot in this unique plaza. They're definitely making this longtime 818/San Fernando Valley place in a new spot feel just as inviting as before.
A veteran/women/lgbtq+ owned safe space with free Wi-Fi (see postings in front and near the entrance) is very much forever open to all.
You'll definitely see families, chosen families, friends, acquaintances, significant others, and all enjoying themselves.
A lot of board game groups meet up here regularly and reserve tables in advance, including a group I'm in GWF (via my friends Sean and Fabrice) - an all queer board game club/group I've been in for the past few years and getting back into.
Enjoyed Dixit (and not just because I always win lol), Sushi Go, other party games and learned about as well as watched quite a bit of new games from RPG to moderate and/or advanced.
Some fun things to note:
They prefer no outside food and sell tons of snacks here. Additional you can find local restaurants (like Yaki) close by as well. Recommend having a meal before and/or after.
Outside beverages are okay, just no adult beverages. I had so much Celsius, which I believe they might also carry here now. I brought my own, but the cold fridge with all the bevs had a lot of variety.
Extremely ADA compliant and even more room the ever to navigate and enjoy your gaming experiences.
It's $5 a person, and you can sign up for their points/rewards system for occasional perks/discounts/freebies.
Geeky "T" & Games sells board games, board game pieces, collectibles, role-playing accessories, clothing, loose leaf teas (but of course), posters and all sorts of fun stuff available to purchase before, during or after your Geeky adventure.
Incredible staff, including someone I quite fond of and have known for years, who I didn't realized worked here and felt bad for distracting him for a hello doing non-stop amazingness helping his fellow GT & Games crew, all the customers and multi-tasking like no other. Go Reid! Go!
Cool themed roomed and places throughout - so much more to explore!
Weekends are absolutely the busiest with peak hours seeming to start around 230/3pm and beyond - plenty of space, but do recommend
Open all the days in a week from Noon until 10pm Monday through Thursday, Noon to Midnight on Friday and as early as 11am on weekends (Saturday until Midnight, Sunday until 11pm).
Check out their website for events, deals, discover their full inventory and to link up with their Discord.
Stop in, tea, game, converse and have some fun!
