So this is a food hall spot so there are plenty of options. I wasn't feeling like anything crazy or deep fried so I decided to stick with something a little on the healthier side so I feel like ramen was a good choice.
They send the food hall so that's free parking all around. There's plenty of spots. There's a cocktail bar at the back of the establishment. There's a really large park of front-based out of here. There's a number of things in walking distance if you're looking around.
You'll go up there and be greeted and the person who was working the register was nice even though they were little words. You'll place your order and you can walk around because it'll give you a little beeper to carry around when your food is ready.
They don't have outdoor seating but there's plenty of indoor seats. You can actually just grab food from any of the food stalls and sit at the bar if you wanted to. And happy hours. So from 4:00 to 6:00 will be a good time to try a couple of things.
The ambiance is pretty nice and very clean. You have almost 10 different establishments you can try. They have couches and countertop and table sheeting areas as well so there's a mixed Gambit of things that you can select from.
Chicken ramen - The ramen wasn't the best ramen but it was passable. The egg itself was boiled all the way through, typically, if you have a ramen spot, you still have the runny yolk usually, which means they did about 7 minutes of boiling and then they marinated the egg. This wasn't like that. As you can see in the picture. It didn't have a lot of options that come with the standard ramen. But the broth was okay. Now the chicken was the same chicken that they used in the bun. As I expressed earlier. It's like that they only have one meat that they use and they put it in everything. It's not like it's sliced specifically for ramen. It looks like chicken that could be used in fried rice. If you go to any other ramen spot, like if he go on Buford highway or in Duluth or something, it'll be different. Different. But they just had chicken chunks that they use. The chicken wasn't bad, and I will honestly say that they gave you a hell of a lot. Since there were only so many toppings in the ramen, they pretty much gave you a hell of a handful of chicken. But there was bamboo shoots and corn that were the other things are most prevalent. Not a lot.
Spring rolls - The spring rolls were the best thing about this. I got them when they were super hot and crisp and they almost burnt my mouth but they were really good. They gave you the duck sauce to go with it, I wish I'd gotten more of them LOL.
Chicken bao bun - The bun was okay. If you want something that's not messy, you probably shouldn't order this. Because it is sauced and it is definitely something you need to clean your hands up. Afterwards. It will soften tender, but the chicken that they used was the same chicken that was in the ramen. It wasn't something specific and I don't know if it was marinated like that or not, but it was okay. Wouldn't rush to get it again.
Overall this was an okay try and I'm glad I did, but at the same time, there are a lot more ramen spots in the area that are a bit better. That give you more topping or more bang for your buck. That won't use the same meat in every chicken dish. It was okay and I ate it but there are other spots. Maybe I'll try something else from there, but I probably would not do the ramen.
