If any of you have never tried an ice cream from Gelateria Danieli then you are in for a treat. The taste is different to most ice creams. Somehow, they taste both thicker and smoother than conventional ices. Visually, they look like they have been whipped into submission. Row after row of multi coloured tufts of creamy concoction's await you when you walk in.
There is no way that I could tell you about all the flavours - there are easily around 50. I can say that they cover all the bases. Fruit flavoured, chocolate, coffee, dairy free and sorbet. I came in on a hot summers night and got a mixture of biscuit and dulche de leche. It was probably my sugar fix for the year, but so worth it.
It is worth noting that Gelateria Danieli is also open till 8pm from Tuesday to Sunday. Perhaps I am too easily pleased, but there is something so delightful about strolling down this cobbled little side alley while other shops are closed and popping in for an after supper treat.
